This was my second time going here, and Actual Grilled Hamburgers! Can you believe it? First time I went in the place was smokey because of something getting loose in the kitchen. They kindly allowed to offer an open drive through while WORKING in an smoke filled building and keeping the customers safety and well being a priority. The burger was amazing from the toppings to the soft bun. PlusI have tried both their waffle and seasoned fries and they are simply amazing! Definitely an delicious and quick bite that is an easy go to and worth the 10 bucks!

The food quality and portion size is good for the money. I had the Black Jack burger and seasoned fries. The peper jack cheese and cajun seasoning were very tasty. The seasoned fried were hot and fresh, not greasy at all. The dining area could use a refresh of decor but was clean and well lit. I would definately return here. The staff was friendly and welcoming.

I’ve had better burgers, but this place is inexpensive and the employees are all very friendly. The beef itself is somewhat dry, so I’d recommend getting a burger with flavorful toppings/condiments. Also, from the outside it appears to be a vacant building - overgrown grass and landscaping, dark inside, and faded lines in the parking lot. From placing my order at the intercom to receiving my food was less than 2 minutes, so it’s a good spot for a quick lunch break.

Had an awesome experience with my family. We sat out on the patio with our dog. The burgers were awesome. The waffle fries were perfect; they had hot and crispy outside, and light and fluffy center. The staff was super nice. Fully recommended by me.

We have been here several times. We went a couple of years ago when it was fairly new, and the service & Food were great. We have gone a few times recently, within the last few months. Most of the time we go when we're going to Sam's Club. The food has gone drastically down hill, while the prices have continued to increase. The last time we went in (10/22/13), the food was down right terrible. The cashier was very rude and not willing to help at all- he simply stared at us, as if he was annoyed. The fries were barely warm, and the burgers weren't any better. They had their "free kid’s meal" sign posted outside, and we went in with our two children. He rang our order up, and proceeded to give us the total. We had to ask for discount- which he agreed to only after rolling his eyes. It makes me wonder how many people don't get the discount they're entitled to based on the company advertisement. It's really too bad, because it was a favorite place of ours- we will be looking for other options.

Although the cashier answered his cell phone and talked on it while I was in line to place my order about non-work related issues, the service was really quick. He also walked outside and told another employee that he needed some help which was kind of odd. I guess the guy was taking a smoke break or something. The burger was fresh, but seem like it needed to be seasoned more. The fries didnt seem to be 100% fresh, but where decent. The employees where very nice.

Everything about this place is super clean, from the outside to the inside to the bathrooms. The food is always good and with coupons, which are always available locally, you get a"gourmet" burger for the price of a typical fast-food burger. This is food that you would grill yourself at home, if you could. The kids that work here are always polite, friendly and helpful as well.

My "Hawaiian Chicken" sandwich was very disappointing. The chicken was flavorless, tough, and stringy. The flavoring sauce, while fully encompassing the chicken, was clearly added after cooking and added no flavor to the chicken itself. The pineapple was cold and clearly hadn't been cooked to caramelize any of its sugars. My wife's burger, in her words, tasted like a Runza burger but with a 15 minute wait.

Fantastic place. Was out of town for two weeks, and I couldn't find anywhere good to eat. This place was across the street from where I was staying, and I ended up eating there almost everyday. No regrets, the place is awesome, the staff is nice, it's super convenient, and delicious. Five stars, highly recommended

Backyard Burgers has grown on me. My first impression was not great. But I would give them a try again here and there. It is a good burger, I think the patties are preformed ones. But always very clean inside, never slow service. The fries are excellent. I keep coming back!

It's okay at best. The cheese isn't melted onto the burger, and the patty itself reminded me of the frozen burgers you can get from the grocery store. Additionally your buns are the least stable and worst I've ever tasted. There was nothing exceptional about the experience and I could have gotten a burger just as disappointing and for far less money at McDonald's. Likely won't come back.

One of my fav places... not anymore. Ate there for lunch today. Manager/owner was yelling at his employees. They seemed scared to be around him. Cleanliness was subpar- water all over bathroom floor. Threw food away after one bite— chicken was over cooked and fries had grease dripping off them. Waste of $9. Very disappointed. :(

Apparently they will just close when they decide to here they do not care about what their hours of operation are. My friends and I may a quick trip here while staying at Tru across the street. For fast food, Back Yard Burgers is a solid option. They're not likely to win any awards, but they have a nice selection of pretty tasty burgers. Their waffle fries are really good as well, though I felt like the amount was a little stingy. But it provided a good foundation for an evening of drinking, and that's what counted at the time

I lived in Louisville until 2006 and ate at this establishment a LOT...and loved them. Something has certainly changed...other than the price skyrocketing. Maybe it's just been years since I've eaten at this particular location but I may give it another chance given the opportunity, but today I wasn't impressed...or even satisfied. From the looks of the parking lot, a lot of people weren't...it was empty. However, it was only 5:00pm on Friday evening.

Can't comment on the food because I don't eat that stuff but I picked up some for my dad and he loves it. The turkey burger was a good option for him because it's healthier and he doesn't really notice any difference. The staff was super friendly and pretty efficient despite running on a skeletonon crew (they were closing). The best is the $10 for $5 Groupon combined with whatever the current promotion is. I got pops a good dinner and a milkshake for five bucks. He loved the chocolate shake.

Found this place on Groupon and decided to give it a try. Had the wild turkey burger and it was amazing. Also tried the salt and vinegar fries and they were AMAZING. had peach cobbler and it could’ve been better but overall the meal was good for the price. Staff was friendly and restaurant was clean - bit outdated but hey. Worth a visit.

We randomly picked a restaurant that was local to our hotel. We didn't know what to expect from Back Yard Burgers, and it turned out to be really good. I got a BBQ Bacon Burger and it was great. I read a review of the place before I went that said to try the fried pickles and, so I did with great delight. The staff was also incredibly nice.

When it comes to fast food burgers Back Yard Burgers is one of the better ones out there. They've got a nice selection of burgers to suit whatever your burger preference might be. They've also got several chicken and vegetation options if that's your thing a as well. I also like that you can add a variety of cheeses to your burger from cheddar, to Swiss, to blue cheese, to pepper jack. You can also choose between seasoned or waffle fries. The waffle fries are my preferred choice. Back Yard Burgers is more expensive than, say, Burger King or McDonald's but the quality is, in my opinion, worth the price.

The staff was great, very friendly. We ordered our food to go and it was ready fairly quickly. We had the spicy black bean burger and fries. Fries really hit the spot. I hadn't had anything fried in a long while. The spicy burger was alright. I felt like the patty it's self needed something to balance out or add to the flavor. I eat veggie burgers fairly often. If comparing this to a Burgerfi veggie burger, Burgerfi would win with its hands tied behind its back,10x over.

Loved it times ten! I am a pescatarian and I usually regret visiting the South as far as food options. My sons partook of chicken and turkey burgers and I had a delicious veggie burger with a baked potato and salad. The food was made to order, hot, and fresh. Sandwiches were the worse we've had here. The chicken was over-cooked. We also ordered shakes but was told the have no milk right now. We offered to wait for them and was told they wouldn't have any today. Sam's Club and Walmart are a block away. Also the music was inappropriate for a family restaurant, one mentioning "put you out of your pain like a bullet to the brain" and another mentioning "aphrodisiac"! Come on! With kids listening??!!
