As you know, we do not usually stop to give tatings when they are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...

Great service and great food! Webster House has a pleasant ambiance as well!
best dinning experience I have had in KC.
My wife really enjoyed the shopping and the restaurant was a great experience.
Beautiful place, nice service, but food is not great. We got the charcuterie and I thought it would be meat, cheese and bread. It was more ground and repressed meat that didn't look appetizing. I think there was prosciutto but not sure because I couldn't understand the waiter when he told us what everything was. That meat, thin slices that looked dry and were stuck together, looked like skin. I got the arugula salad and had to pick out the wilted pieces. It had more prosciutto. Other than that it was good. I would have liked another fork to eat my salad but I didn't get one. Instead I had to wipe the gross ground meat off of mine and reuse it. Even Olive Garden gives you 2 forks. My husband got the steak and liked it. I got the Pasta, it had a lot of everything (corn, corn, corn) except pasta. And of course it had prosciutto. It tasted like those styrofoam cup o noodles. I didn't eat much of it and they took it off the bill. We got the peanut butter bombe for dessert which was good. I also got coffee and wine, my husband had water. With all that and even taking the cup o noodles pasta off the bill it still cost over $100 and we didn't even get a souvenir cup! We won't go back to eat.
Wonderful menu, excellent service. Great for special occasions.
Great food and awesome service.
I first want to mention that the prices of this place aren't ridiculous, this isn't Dennys. I was actually surprised on the reasonable prices for the location and quality of the establishment. I can't comment on how the portions of the rest of the lunch menu compare to the Steak salad I had. What I can tell you, is that I struggled to finish the steak and just couldn't finish the actual salad part. The salad as a whole was flavorful and mouthwatering. The flavor of the steak alone and perfectly executed request of medium rare, couldn't be expressed further. This is by far the best steak I've had in such a long time, and I've been going to quite a few high end restaurants in KC in search of such quality. After returning wrongly cooked orders of steak, multiple times, at different establishments, I left Webster House completely and utterly satisfied. Laurie (not sure of the spelling) was my waitress and she was great in her recommendations, descriptions, and service during my visit. I will most definitely return in the near future.
Recommended by a waiter in a casual restaurant (good sign!) and it did not disappoint. Very tasty potato leek soup (more of a rich puree), delicious salads as sides. One of us had Mahi Mahi, the other the chicken sandwich from the reverse happy hour menu. Both excellent. The homemade roll for the sandwich was out of this world. Also enjoyed the mixed drink/bourbon pour options. Great server - attentive and helpful but not intrusive.A few steps from the Kaufmann Center, it is the perfect stop before or after concerts.
I was excited to go..however my duck was dry and tough. I really did not enjoy my dinner like expected. I also feel like waitress could be more knowledgeable about the food products. we wanted to try lamb she explained it was lamb chop only to see the couple next to us food which was lamb. looked more enjoyable.
Haven't been " yet!"
Great interior the food was good I went for a job function.
This is not the place to go for creative cuisine, but rather for traditional dishes done very well. The setting is very elegant (it is located in a renovated 19th century schoolhouse) and the service could not be better. Best of all, it is right next to the Kaufmann Center for the Performing Arts and is thus the perfect place to go before or after a show. Recommended by a waiter in a casual restaurant (good sign!) and it did not disappoint. Very tasty potato leek soup (more of a rich puree), delicious salads as sides.
My sister and brother-in-law were married in the small ballroom. It was a perfect setting for a cozy, sophisticated ceremony. Brandon is a fabulous chef and Darrin was kind and very accommodating. We had excellent service and the food was amazing! Highly recommended!
Family dinner outing. Great time
This place is beyond cool. It has a nice little shop downstairs and a lovely restaurant upstairs. The food was amazing and for lunch with the in-laws decently priced. The building itself is beautifully restored and has great natural light.
Thank you for an outstanding experience! Creative food expertly prepared and a friendly waitress! Plus fun shopping downstairs to round out a satisfying visit!
Excellent food and service. Prices were reasonable!
Delightful combination of antique shop on lower level and updcale restaurant and fully stocked bar on second floor. Great opportunity to browse, shop and dine all at the same time. Great for dinner or lunch before a presentation at the Kauffman center. Parking free in Webster garage if dining. Kauffman one block away. Dining at Webster is outstanding with a wonderful menu, great chefs and fully stocked bar. Great for late afternoon lunch or dinner. This is not an eat and run restaurant but rather a relax, dine and enjoy atmosphere. Always an outstanding evening - sometimes with entertainment or other times with cooking classes. Enjoy!!
Food was very good, not as over the top as I expected. Staff was great.
Pricey boutiques that you can enjoy whether you buy anything or not. The lunch upstairs on Saturday was so so. The menu was quite Limited.
Excellent scenery, don't go without a thick checkbook. Food is different, portions small, but taste great!
I had a terrible food experience here. Typically, it's been considerbly better and I'm hoping it was a one off for a local restaurant with an amazing venue. The service is always Excellent and management (Kristi Burns) is pretty impressive. I'm cautiously optimistic that the Stars will increase in the near future.
The food and service is always 5 stars. Highly recommend.
The perfect place to go to feel boujie on a girls' night out. We even got complementary champagne for my friend's birthday! It's very pricy so make it a special occasion but you gotta check it out!
Great atmosphere. Good food. Great service.
We have been coming here for years as our 'go to' dining experience prior to attending performances at the Kauffman Center. Every visit has provided consistently great service! The cocktails are great, the menu is wonderful and the entire meal and experience from beginning to end is one of the best in town!!!
We celebrated our 40th anniversary here. From the time we walked in the front door to the time we drove away the experience was amazing. Everything from the beautiful flowers they sent us away with, the fantastic menu items, dessert and the mocktail to toast our 40 years, we're all just a reflection of the sincere care and service of the owner, managers, servers, Cook's, & everyone that works there. It was a night that will never forget!
Good quality food
Food is phenomenal, just a great dining experience in a unique setting.
Webster house is great for intimate events or Sunday afternoon brunch. It’s nostalgic and classy with a staff that knows how to take care of their guests! The perfect spot to treat a friend to a taste of classic Kansas City!
Went for the Vagabonds dinner on Wednesday night. Delicious food and tasty cocktails for a great price and wonderful atmosphere
Best Birthday ever!! Gave me a menu with my name on it. Food was delicious. Ambience was everything

First of all I work there, second the whole staff is amazing, nice, helpful, Courteous, informative. The food is amazing, all of the Chef's Brandon, Alex, Edwin, Kevin, Michael, Bo and others do an incredible job with plating the food, each plate looks like a piece of Art. Head chef Brandon's taste is French with an Asian Flare. If you want to impress your friends, family, spouse, partner this is the place I recommend you go. I'm not just saying that because I work here. They also Sell Antiques (Furniture, clothing, Jewelry, Art) on the first floor. The second floor is the Restaurant with several rooms for dining all with incredible views of Kansas City. There's even a Bar where you can enjoy incredibly crafted drinks, enjoy some great wines and Champagne, and beers. From the store, the restaurant, and the bar are all Wheelchair accessible, there is an elevator. Webster House is open 7 days a week. Great place for groups, large Parties, or just intimate dining. They do cater to everyone from Vegans, Vegetarians, to carnivores or omnivores, or whatever you might have if allergies to different foods, or Celiac disease.
The food and service at the Webster House never ceases to impress.
First time guest. I can honestly say that I have been looking for a ribeye with this quality for a long, long time in Kansas City. Tremendous melding of flavors that I have missed for years. Expert service ( Danny) superb wine list. We will be back many times to sample the rest of the menu.
Great place for Sunday Brunch
Boutique shopping and fabulous eats in one great location. A must when in Kansas City.
The building is very pretty. The first floor has various boutiques that carry interesting and nice merchandise. Upstairs are several dining rooms with natural lighting. We enjoyed Bloody Mary’s with a variety of brunch dishes. We found the sconces were really good. The steak & eggs Benedict were superb and the pulled pork hash and quiche dishes were delicious. We will definitely return. It’s hard to believe this place was once a school!
Wonderful.food, exceptional service, superb wine. Pricey but well worth it.
Menu was a little too "stuffy" for my taste. There was at least one ingredient in every item that I just don't like. The items for sale looked promising but of course most things were very expensive.
Great destination. Shop antiques and dine in restaurant. No junk food here though.
The Webster House's proximity to the Kauffman center is what led me here, but the deliciousness of the food is what makes me want to return! I had been running late for a pre-show meal and was set at the kitchen bar with my colleague because the seats were available. After a lovely chat with the chef, wonderfully quick service and food serving, and a phenomenal meal of biscuits & gravy I was hooked. The manager was kinda and the servers were friendly. I'm a fan of this location and would highly suggest it for any pre-show meals/drinks.
Beautiful venue for our company Christmas party. Excellent steak and festively decorated dining room.
Great food, great atmosphere!
A very fun place. Recommend it if you're visiting KC, MO.
Roommate and I have been scouring KC for the best burger. Webster House boasts an incredibly unique and intimate environment, with very learned staff. Their burger was cooked perfectly and touted one of the best Aolis I have had. Hits a very solid #2 burger in all of KC for us. (Still an A+ burger)
The Short Rib Tartine is delicious!
I sent this email to the bar manager on April 8. No response, so I sent it to the restaurant manager on April 16. No response, so I'm posting on social media. On Friday, April 5 I had a ticket to see the Pink Martini perform with the KC Symphony. I had been wanting to check out the Webster House. I decided to sit at the bar since I was by myself. I ordered a drink and asked the guy bartender about the calamari. He said it was good. I decided to try it even though I had stopped ordering it at places, because I was always disappointed. The guy bartender asked me how I liked the calamari and I told him it was okay, it seemed like it had a lot of breading. That’s all I really tasted. I ate the entire plate, because I was hungry. The people behind the bar were busy, but I had been sitting with an empty plate for awhile and was ready to order my entree. I told the guy bartender when he was done making a drink, I was ready to order. He proceeded to do other things. I told the lady bartender I was ready to order. She took my order and the person sitting next to me. I ordered another drink. After I was finished with my entree, I asked for the dessert menu. I ordered a dessert and so did the lady that was sitting beside me. The lady bartender was making a fun little drink and the lady beside me asked her about it. I don’t remember the name of the drink, but she told us it was on the happy hour menu. I told her I didn’t know you did a happy hour and she told us it was a reverse happy hour. The lady beside me ordered two drinks and told her to put it on her tab. After we were finished with our drinks and dessert, we told the lady bartender we were ready for our checks. She asked if it was together or separate. We told her separate. I had just met the lady at the bar tonight. The lady bartender gave us our tickets and she charged me for the drink the person beside me said she would buy. The person beside me didn’t look at her ticket and I wasn’t going to say anything. After all, I had just met the person. This was my first visit to the Webster House and I was not impressed. In hindsight, I probably should have sent back the calamari since I wasn’t happy with it. (I'd like to try the pot stickers next time. The description sounds amazing.) The bartenders were not very attentive and didn’t pay attention to what they were told. I will visit the Webster House again in the future, because I don’t like basing my opinion on one visit. I probably won’t want to sit at the bar though. I decided to send this comment to you via email versus posting it on a Facebook or Google review. I know the restaurant was busy, but I don’t think that should be an excuse for bad service. Especially, when the bartenders were right in front of us the entire time.
Beautiful. Can’t wait to return to this gem next to the Kauffman.
Great restaurant. Our go to anniversary destination. Five star food. Nothing beats a meal at Webster house followed by a performance at the Kauffman.
This is the most beautiful building I have seen. It is clean and modern. The outside is reminiscent of the Sydney Opera house. The theatre inside is absolutely gorgeous. I recommend it.
I was meeting my friend to catch up at a previously visited brunch. It was wonderful, staff was friendly and the salmon crepes were exquisite. The flavors of the food were a refreshing delight. I did initially try the French toast because in the past it was a mouth watering aromatic dish, not today. Darin took care of it and is so lovely to my family. We will all continue to dine there and the boutique below has must have designs and trinkets. Love this place. You gotta try it!
We hosted my sister’s bridal shower here and it was the perfect place! Lovely ambiance, great food and the people were incredibly nice!
This is a must, go to place. Great experience. Food and service is wonderful. Has a clothing speciality shop and beautiful antique pieces surrounding you. Don't forget to pick up the pamphlet about the History of Webster House. It is something to see. I took a pictures of the phamplet I received and it has the phone number and times opened. The picture I posted doesn't do this treasure justice. You won't regret the experience.
Beautiful building, beautiful interior and beautiful food. Went right before Christmas so it was decorated very nicely. Everything we ordered was wonderful, and the menu is quite diverse, which is always nice. The shopping area on the first floor actually has quite a bit of variety, you have to really look because darn near everything is for sale. Their also very trusting considering the amount of things for sale displayed in the bathroom.... Yeah...
Sunday Brunch was top of the line.
Had a nice lunch. Hostess was a little abrupt, hence the 4 and not 5 stars. She was adamant that I sit and not wait for my wife, who she kept referring to as "him". Not sure what she was insinuating or if she just wasn't paying any attention. Food and service was really good.
We had a wonderful brunch here. The food was tasty and filling. Excellent service and a good ambiance. Prices are on the high side, but it is fine dining. Great location choose to the Kauffman Center
Sunday brunch was outstanding. Our server was very informative & provided just the right amount of attention.
An overall excellent experience. Parking was ample thanks to a parking garage across the street that was validated by the restaurant. We were able to be seated right away when we made reservations. The service was top Notch. Waiter was friendly and very descriptive with the soup of the day. He was attentive without feeling clingy. We shared the potstickers as an appetizer. They are crispy and delicious. I have the salmon which was excellent. We also shared the cheesecake which was top notch. Highly recommend any of my friends to come to this place.
Awesome Webster burger and potatoes. Beautiful decor !
Beautiful and amazing. Great atmosphere and service and food!!!
Very impressive venue with great customer service, excellent food and a very attentive staff.
We picked Webster House for our 28th Anniversary Dinner. The entire evening was one we will remember and cherish. We requested a quiet table and were seated in the Rose room. Immediately we noticed as we sat down, our menus had A Happy 28th Wedding Anniversary at the top. Our Waiter Conner was a very knowledgeable and soft spoken young man but loud enough to be heard. Helped us with the menu as he described each course. My husband ordered a drink he likes but usually at other places they dont get right, a perfect manhattan. It was “perfect “ he says. Conner helped me decide on a wine for myself. Each course as it came was a level of an amazing experience we have not had the pleasure to experience. Each course came in a timely manner that seemed to be planned to a tee. We enjoyed the evening talking as they quickly and quietly took each plate and refreshed our drinks almost without notice. But I did. We ended our meal as they surprised us with a desert and a lovely bubbly drink. Champagne. Everyone from the hostess that took my coat to our wonderful waiter to the security man that opened the door for us made our evening one to remember. They also have a great gift shop. On Thursday they offer a Supper Club meal, a 3 course meal from 7-9 for $55. I recommend this destination for your special night.
Beautiful place and wonderful dinner.
Good places nice food very home and upscale with shops nice and rare pearl and jewelry
Great place for unique and one of a kind gifts
I went to Webster House for lunch with a friend. This is my first time even knowing about Webster. The food was phenomenonal and the staff were very friendly. Prices were higher, $13 for a burger, but the service definitely covered the cost difference.
Kindest kitchen staff ever. Very cool place.
Webster House is wonderful. Had new years dinner here with my partner. We did the 3 course special, and it was amazing. The waitress was super friendly and always helpful. We passed on the wine pairing with each course and she still brought us samples for each course. Also she made sure we had full glasses of champagne for the entire meal. I will dine there again soon. It is a little pricey, but you pay for what you get. Its completely worth it. I also think there normal menu is most likely slightly cheaper then there special evening menu.
Recommended by a waiter in a casual restaurant (good sign!) and it did not disappoint. Very tasty potato leek soup (more of a rich puree), delicious salads as sides. Great gem in the Crossroads area with eclectic dining experience. Only been for brunch on the weekends, but food and service has always been excellent.
Delicious lunch, a very good server. The surroundings are quiet and impressive, preserved from earlier days.
A very nice, elegant place to dine. The service staff was wonderful and the food was very good. The place is more upscale and so are the prices, but it is a great date destination. They also have antiques and alike on display throughout the house if you enjoy browsing and or shopping.
Lovely place for lunch or dinner. Great historical building transformed into fine dining. Great spot for dinner before a show at the Kauffman Center.
This place was a pleasant surprise...will definitely return.
Awesome place the service and food
Webster House has so many interesting items throughout the whole building. Fun antiques that are beautiful along with stuff from this century. The food from the restaurant is also very delicious. I highly recommend the duck!
It's a lovely place to dine before the theater. However, I go there for shopping. Beautiful selection of clothes, jewelry, hats and jackets/coats.
Great service and great food. Our first time there and we enjoyed it very much.
Great food
Very good food, decent wine selection. Great service.
Delicious food, excellent service, beautiful surroundings shared with good friends...nothing better !!
Came for brunch before seeing The Nutcracker at The Kauffman. Excellent. Wonderful service, and everyone enjoyed their meal. Great selection to please all. Portions were enormous and worth the price. The mushroom biscuits and gravy was the best I've ever had. Will definitely return.
This is an interesting building and it isn't immediately obvious that there is a restaurant here! There are several entrances and the ground floor seems to be primarily antique and other shops with the dining room on the second floor. It seems to be spread over a couple of areas on either side of a central greeting area. On this very cold day in January, there were few diners - none, in fact, until another group of 4 joined the three of us who were, for a while, the sole patrons in the place. When this is the case in a restaurant, it is difficult to judge the service. It must also be difficult to deliver service since fawning over a group isn't good but when service is overly slow and one is the only diner, it appears much worse. Fortunately, our server threaded this needle very well and we were able to enjoy a relaxed meal. Service was very friendly and understated too which is in keeping with the upmarket feel of the restaurant. The food here is excellent, at least to judge by my pasta dish which came with a flavorsome and thick (though not overly rich) sauce and was extremely tasty and well seasoned. I am not one for heavy lunches but this was perfect.
A top notch and unique restaurant (with a slice of KC history) in every facet. Enjoy the boutique shopping on the first floor. Then go upstairs to the restaurant. Choose which room / atmosphere / view of KC to dine in (we prefer the 'library'). Well diversified menu. After 8 PM, there is an additional smaller fare menu available too. All of the meals we ordered were outstanding. The service matched the meals and atmosphere. Very professional wait staff (we had Connor). As a bonus, meet the manager, Darin. What a delightful and friendly person to share dining and travel experiences with. We can not wait to return.
Eating at this restaurant was a four high-five experience! From walking in to finishing dessert, everything was delightful. The staff was so helpful, kind, and fun. The food was superb, and the environment was so intimate. If you’re looking for a meal to impress, reserve a table now!
Smashing special event space
This was my first visit and I absolutely loved it. Food was outstanding and the service was as great. The first floor shopping was great
Delicious food
Wonderful, old world kind of place. Restaurant has great food and service. Delightful shopping areas. Worth a visit!
Always delicious food, and great service. Shopping downstairs an added bonus.
Incredible dining experience! This restaurant has an excellent chef and the offerings are not common or typical. Truly eclectic in their decor and menu items. If you are having a special date, holiday or are simply feeling like you would really like to treat yourself to something delicious - please consider the Webster House!
The workers at the retail area were helpful and very kind!
Great service, wonderful location. We always go for brunch before attending the Opera at Kauffman Performing Arts Center. The food is amazing, beautiful and tasty. Today I had the bacon and leek quiche, which was so custardy and creamy, with a salad that truly complemented it. Dessert was a cranberry fig tart. So good!
Best brunch in Kansas City. Have had their fried chicken, French toast, arepas and cocktails. Service and setting are perfect.
Great food and service. Fun shopping as well.
We went during KC restaurant week and the food was fantastic. We were able to tell they really put a lot of thought and time into planning the menu and the meals we had really demonstrated that. The atmosphere is so cozy and unique. Webster House did not disappoint!
Webster House is a phenomenal restaurant that not many people seem to know about! The location is beautiful and is technically a restored school (not a house!) with a rich history and gorgeous views of the city. The food is some of the best I've ever tasted. Their menu changes frequently/seasonally, but the quality is always consistent and on point. Service has always been exceptional as well. It's a great date night place!
Quality food, service, and atmosphere. What more does one need?
Over priced
Great location for shopping and events! The company I work for rented out this location for our Christmas party and it was great! The staff was very friendly and the food was excellent. The upstairs seating area was nicely partitioned so the nice with the live music we had was very reasonable!
If the restaurant weren't so noisy it'd be 5 star. No quiet spot. We got in on the $10 lunch entry. Pasta & steak sandwich: both excellent.
With an ever changing menu and delightful service Webster House is still one of my favorite restaurants not only in Kansas City, but the entire country. The location is beautiful, and romantic. The service amazing. The price spot on. The drinks appropriately balanced Don't forget to enjoy the shopping downstairs. Eclectic and local products round out the entire experience.
Excellent food, beautiful decor, excellent service
Food, ambiance and service was excellent! The squash soup was too spicy, but everything else was over the top fabulous! The restaurant and retail space is beautiful and very architecturally interesting.
This place is amazing!! I wish I could eat this delicious food every day!! Great service, food and atmosphere. Highly recommend
Great food. A little pricey but worth it.
This is one of my favorite places. You can almost hear the old school marm ringing her bell, from 100 years ago. Food is great. Service is impeccable. Great access to Kauffman Performing Arts Center. In fact, we left our car on the street after dinner, walked up one block and into the Kauffman Center. Thanks for what you do.
Webster House is fantastic! Service is amazing! Everything I have ever ordered was delicious. Last week we had reservations for Sunday Brunch. The sudden rainstorm trapped us in the parking garage. We called Webster House to let them know we would be late. To our delight, manager, Darin came to our rescue with an umbrella.
Great service and great food
The staff is absolutely wonderful. There was a particularly obnoxious group that came by and not only did they do everything they could to make up for it. The food was GREAT and our waitres, Danielle, and waiter, Cam, were fantastic and deserve all of the shout outs. Would 100% recommend!
Love the food and the atmosphere
Beautiful venue, excellent service & fabulous food. What more could you ask for...
Delicious and great atmosphere
I was pretty excited for the dinner date I had set up here. Unfortunately I didn't have as good a time as I thought I would. We were seated at a table in the middle of the room on a table slightly too big for 2 people. We had to raise our voices to talk to each other because of the noise level, so we decided to ask someone to switch us over to another table. Just then we realized, it had been a little over 10 minutes or so since we were seated and nobody had come to attend to us. When someone came over to offer us water, we switched to another smaller table. The service was average, the food was good, big portions. The menu in the email (sent by Open Table) said there was a vegetarian entree but it wasn't listed on the menu they handed out there. They decided to make one for me anyway. Before I was done with my salad, the server came over with our entrees twice, so I felt a little pressured to finish up my food faster. I just accepted the entree the third time and left my salad half eaten. To add to it, I found a hair in my entree (I swear it wasn't mine because I had to pull it out from underneath the food). My server casually said everyone in the kitchen were men but the manager had the courtesy to come over, apologize and offer me another entree. I had lost my appetite by then so I just waited for my date to finish his entree and we had the dessert which was good. The ambience was nice and had I been able to enjoy my food in peace, I might have left in a better mood. They were nice enough to not charge me for my entree which I had barely eaten. My date really liked his food and the ambience so maybe it's just because I had an okay-ish experience I probably wouldn't be returning here.
Atmosphere wonderful food good.
Great food, atmosphere & service.
Absolutely incredible all around. Definitely a place to dine while in KC.
A fabulous place always, but especially during the holidays. I always appreciate the history and the food of Webster House.
Dining room setup could be more accommodative for groups of 4.
Delicious gormet food and wines. Great place to go before a show at the Kaufman center

Fun but pricey. Nice shopping. Food is just OK.
I make it a goal to visit this restaurant everytime I travel to Kansas City. I love the atmosphere, the professionalism of the staff, and most importantly the food.
Another favorite restaurant. Happy hour in the bar is a great way to sample the menu. Or reserve seats at the chefs counter and watch your dishes prepared.
I've only been for Sunday's brunch so I can only attest it's perfection but if any other time is as good as brunch, you're on for a treat. As for Sundays brunch, note it's only on Sunday, but it has all the fixtures of brunch, like bottomless mimosas and excellent eggs Benedict. Prices are reasonable and much cheaper than the atmosphere would have you think. It gets busy so call beforehand and make a reservation!
KC Restaurant Week lunch visit. Food and service were great. Reservation made 2 days in advance, email confirmation received stating 11:15 am requested time. Phone call from restaurant the night before confirming the 11:15 reservation for 2. Arrived a few minutes early. They could not find my reservation! Searched by name and found it set for 12:45 pm! They easily accommodated us with no delay.
Amazing food, staff and atmosphere. The place has so much history! The shopping is excellent too!!
Very nice. We only had tea as we were there for the Christmas Symphony, performed at the Kauffman Center. But we really enjoyed it. We will be back for dinner in the near future.
Wonderful dining experience...Gary was amazing...perfect bday dinner...new cocktail menu was great...
Eating in has always been my choice for restaurants, it we needed to pick up an order this time. I was impressed that they would not prepare the onion rings until I arrived so they would be just as hot and fresh as if we are there! The food is delicious and the restaurant is usually packed. Arrive early or order to go! The cheesy corn bake is a must try!
A great experience for downtown dinning.
Went here for an elegant lunch in the upstairs restaurant in this fabulous old home. We'll prepared food served with one of the best bloody marys ever. After lunch strolled through the various rooms browsing antiques. A downtown KC gem
Always a wonderful experience! Food is always amazing and service is outstanding. Made our anniversary lovely and made sure we made it to the ballet on time...I don't know what we ever would go any where else.
This unique build is a gem of a find. The shop downstairs has a wonderful staff that are ready to help you at a moment's notice, and the restaurant upstairs is all the more impressive. The food is exquisitely prepared with the upmost attention to detail. The wait staff is friendly and ready to help with whatever you may need. If you are looking for a special date night place or a night out with friends to brunch this is the place to go.
I took my mom there for her birthday and her husband for Veteran's Day a few weeks ago. The food was AMAZING! My mom had the turkey sandwich - and it was not an ordinary sandwich. Her hubbie had the combo 1/2 sandwich (turkey again LOL), salad and butternut squash soup. He let me try a sip of the soup and it was absolutely delicious, and different than any I'd had - it was flavored subtly with curry - very interesting and honestly I'd wished I'd had my own bowl. For me, however, the star of the show was MY lunch, which was the short rib sandwich. It was fantastic! It practically melted in my mouth and was topped with some delicious caramelized onions. I can't wait to go back! The prices were not horrible, either. Sadly, we did not have room for dessert. The surprise, however, was they comped my step-daddy's meal in honor of Veteran's Day. What a kind gesture, and it really pleased him - it's not always about money, but recognition is always welcome. Everything was wonderful!
Beautiful building, great service, food was excellent, spectacular veiws of the city.
Food was great. Building is super cool.
What a wonderful place can't wait to go bk
Had a brunch date here with hubby, enjoyed it very much. The food was good (and filling), drinks were great (and priced about the same as anywhere else in the downtown/Crossroads area--not cheap, not ridiculous). Our server was very nice and attentive. The fun in this place, though, is just in the atmosphere. It's a beautiful building, and has a nice little shop downstairs. Be sure to check out the palatial bathrooms!
Wonderful rehearsal dinner. Staff was amazing and the food was beyond delicious. Kathy was helpful and easy to work with.
Food and service were great.
Beautiful interiors and delicious meals
My wife chose Webster House for dinner for her birthday. She couldn't have made a better choice! Our dinner was fantastic. Every grain of rice in our risotto was perfectly al dente. Our salad was perfectly dressed. My salmon was cooked, to the discernability I have, a perfect medium. My wife's scallops were seared neatly and were deliciously buttery. The service was great as well. We felt accommodated without being harassed. The timing of our meal was nearly perfect. As one course was removed from the table the next appeared mere seconds to a minute later. We both had Ol' Fashioned drinks (from the menu) and they were balanced perfectly.
If you want to feel beautiful... This building is spectacular The atmosphere was lively in a casual way. The staff friendly and knowledgeable. The building was stately to say the least with rich wood everywhere and stained glass. Did brunch and drinks after yoga and it could not have been a better experience.
Strictly gormet dining.
Outstanding in every way
Nice building, nice arrangement, and staff. I ordered the fried chicken and it was delicious!! The others I was with ordered french toast, pasta, and the seared chicken and everyone was extremely satisfied! The bottomless mimosas are amazingly fresh as well as a great ratio of champagne and OJ! Cant wait to go back.
Great place to grab a sit down, fancy, meal and shop after finishing!
Very nice place they have a Boutique and restaurant
Nice place. Pricey stuff. Beautiful inside used to be a school in the 1800s
Nice ambience. Good food. Try it.
We always enjoy the the food here. The setting and beauty of the building make it a charming dining experience.
We went for the vagabond dinner for Korea and it was amazing. The service was splendid and the drinks were particularly good.
