We enjoy several Italian restaurants in our city and Trezo Mare is one of our favorites. If you enjoy dining outside, they have a wonderful terrace. Most often we choose the Smokey Tomato Chicken Fettuccine. It is so good! Difficult to get to right now because of roadwork but worth the effort!

We went here for the first time for my birthday. It was very nice but the service was mediocre. We got there at 7:45 got seated at 8 and didn't see our server until almost 8:30. We where their for almost three hours and I was only able to get 2 beers. Which I had to ask three times just to get the second one. When my food finally came out the steak that was in my salad was cold. For the amount of money It costs for a party of six. I expected more but sometimes things happen and people make mistakes. Hopefully next time when we go back it will be a much better experience.

This is my new favorite place for a nice night out. We had a group of 6 and all of us ordered different items. Everyone commented on how good the food was. The service was spectacular down to the small details. If you get up from the table they freshen your drink and fold your napkin. I had the KC Strip which was perfectly prepared and worth going back for. But the scalloped potatoes were like nothing I have ever eaten. Everyone at the table tried them and wanted more! If you like eating outside the patio has a great view and lots of shade in the late afternoon.

The service was great and the meal presentation was nice, but the food was flavorless. From the calamari, Trezo Burger, macaroni and cheese, to the fries, we had to add salt to it all. The only things on the Trezo Burger that had flavor were the roasted tomatoes. Even the bacon was bland.

This is a wonderful facility, with professional servers and very accommodating staff. The food is excellent, whether you are there for an intimate dinner or business lunch. Our last visit was for a birthday celebration. The finger food was tasty and plentiful. The patio is comfortable with great views of the city. This restaurant is a destination, yet always welcoming and warm.

I was really impressed with Trezo Mare. Was my first time here for restaurant week and it did not disappoint. Lots of choices on the restaurant week menu. Fantastic wine selection. Got the goat cheese fondue, short ribs, and chocolate bar dessert. Fantastic - all of it. I was thoroughly impressed with the goat cheese fondue. Not an overpowering flavor, and light & fluffy texture. Will be back. Cozy atmosphere.

Great atmosphere, excellent service, and delicious food. I've been here several times and the quality is always consistent. Lobster mac & cheese and the peanut butter cheesecake are to die for!! Our recent server (Mary) was very knowledgeable and friendly which only added to our excellent dinner experience. They also made keepsake menus for us, wishing us a happy 6th anniversary. I would recommend this place to anyone!

The food here was amazing! We had our company dinner with about 10 people in the group. The service was perfect. I had the Scallops, with lobster mashed potatoes and asparagus. The Calamari and chicken artichoke dip were the best, I couldn't stop eating it. The menu is a little pricey but well worth it I can't wait to return!!

I loved the food here at Trezo Mare! I went with family and we all enjoyed out 6 different meals, too! Wonderful from scratch made Itailian food! Loved my entree, but skipped appitizerscinfavor of my dessert. So many wonderful described desserts, but I selected the peanut butter cheesecake to share and it was deliciously peanutbuttery, too( Not overly sweet or syrupy like some places will serve(-yucky sugary w a hint of far away distant Peanut butter, too), But real peanut butter drliciousiness,too! II want to go back for the other desserts some day, too !Bravo! Awesomely great to the other desserts, too none day, too!

The service for this day is a bit unprofessional, placing the plates hard on the table and the hostess was distracted for the place not being very busy. Overall a good experience. The dishes are nicely priced for what the taste is.

Great environment and very friendly people. The food is great! Always ask about the special. I'm typically disappointed...because the special is so good, yet it is only around for a day or so. They also have a private meeting space for groups. They can do a custom menu (with your business logo) or whatever you need! Did I mention there was also a bar? Yup, this place rocks.

The entire restaurant was beautiful looking! The scenery was really nice and the atmosphere was relaxing. Also the food was good. The Late Night Food was very reasonably priced. However, the staff overall was friendly, but our waitress could've been more friendly. Also she took a little bit too long to wait on us. However we weren't in a rush so it was fine. Overall, we enjoyed our meal at Trezo Mare.

I can not speak highly enough of Trezo Mare! I was very fortunate and thankful to receive a gift certificate from the owner for my first visit and even though I already had higher than normal expectations, I was still blown away! Nick was my bartender and took great care of me, even helping me pick between all of the amazing selections. Not only was the calimari just as crispy as he said it would be, it was far and away, the best calimari I've tried in all of KC. The En Fuego had my eye from the first glance at the menu and it was so incredibly flavorful and filling. I've had ciopino and boulliabaise before, but those don't compare. The lobster saffron broth was rich and complex. The seafood was perfectly cooked and I could still taste each distinct flavor. And to top off a wonderful dining experience, my favorite local guitarist, Jason King, just happened to be playing in the bar area. HUGE plus! Overall, 10/10 for ambience, service, decor, and most importantly, the downright mouth watering food! I'll be back as often as my wallet will allow! Thank you, Trezo Mare!

Its hard to remember the last time my experience in a restaurant was so overwhelmingly pleasant. The service is extraordinary. The environment is modern, warm, and welcoming. And the food is simply unbelievable. Some advice for new customers is always ask about the special, it is often the best item in the place and is unfortunately only around for a few short days. This place exceeds all expectation for a fine restaurant.

Absolutely LOVE Trezo! The food is amazing, and the menu is constantly changing to add seasonal and delicious options to their already outstanding menu. The staff is super friendly and you truly can't beat the outdoor patio in the spring, summer and fall. Not to mention they are part of the KC Originals which is even better. I would highly recommend them. I eat there at least 3 times a month.

As someone who loves trying new places, I am absolutely torn by this one- I want to go no where else while visiting KC. The atmosphere is remarkable, especially if you are able to sit on the patio. The people are also notably above par, friendly and knowledgeable (though service at the bar was light). And the food stands on its own to make this place a solid five star stop.

We usually enjoy our trips to Trezo Mare, but we were unfortunately very disappointed in our last visit. Our crab cakes were cold, we were not offered any refills on our drinks despite how long we waited to be served a simple side salad and appetizer, and our server, Kelly was rude and very slow. We intended to order another drink and appetizer but our server did not return to our table until she came for the check.

Just to say we had a wonderful time this evening with our daughter and friend. No special occasion except Thursday! We had some wonderful appetizers plus drinks and real whiskey along with the most wonderful appetizer. Our salads were good but the main course meals were outstanding. Calamari, scallops, duck and steak were top shelf! And do you know what made it the best? Mark!!! Our waiter made the evening extra special since he knew we would be there a while. He was attentive but not pushy, completely ready to make our experience first class.

The food, as always, was delicious. I had the chicken picata and husband had bass and tomato bisque. Service on this visit was very slow. Waited 20 minutes after finishing our meal to get our check, for example. But this was not our usual experience at Trezo Mare.

We were in a corner booth that was a little dark. Would enjoy sitting outside or in a different area of the restaurant. The white sangria was AMAZING! An excellent place for a nice meal.

This was our first time but other guests had been there before. We had a variety of dishes at our table. A couple of us ordered the special, braised rib with puff pastry....unfortunately it had no flavor. The sauce helped tremendously but the meat itself was a very small portion and didn't have much flavor at all. Green beans and brussel sprouts were quite good. My husband had the lamb and he said it was so fatty without much flavor that he was quite disappointed. He is a lamb lover but this didn't do anything for him. Though the risotto served with it was good. A few had the chicken that said it was quite good. Another had the salmon and black rice...rice was very salty. Overall, most of us felt the meal was just okay...not the high caliber some were used to...only those who had the chicken felt there's was great. Perhaps another time?!

Staff was pleasant and attentive; no complaints there. Attractive restaurant and really nice large outdoor patio. Was a beautiful evening and a really enjoyable atmosphere. As for the food, I received a 7" hair in my Caesar salad at no additional charge, which by itself would not have prompted me to review - I have a strong stomach and finished the salad anyway (hygiene theory route to immunity). Salad was so-so. Lamb chops were my main course and midway through that was when I decided I'd throw out a review. Portion was pretty generous - 4 chops about 3/4" thick. They were supposed to be encrusted, but if they started out that way, it simply didn't make it to the plate. I asked for M-R cook and wound up with one chop raw, two overcooked, and one perfect. Again, I ate them all - I don't waste food. Butternut squash risotto and mushroom ragu were enjoyable; red wine demi-glace was pedestrian. I didn't say anything because I'm only in town on business and not likely to be back. I didn't want a free dinner, and felt that if I said anything that was a potential outcome. I came hungry and left full; services rendered...that was the point. I'll assume management would have made an appropriate gesture, as it was apparent they care about their business and customers, but I didn't need/want one. Might not have reviewed if I came here and saw three stars, as I'm not one to heap on. When I saw 4.5+ stars I thought I'd let everyone know that they're human. Swing and a miss on this visit. 2.5 stars as an overall experience if I could have rated as such - demerits all food-based.

They have always been so kind and welcoming to my husband and me. They even allowed us to have our wedding reception there in the private room where all my friends and family raved about the food, especially the spinach and artichoke dip and chips. We go back here on our anniversary every year and they give us a free dessert to help us celebrate. I have always enjoyed their food, the atmosphere, the service, and their beautiful patio. Their free bread and olive oil is so tasty that I usually stuff myself on this before my dinner even arrives. My favorite dish is their pizzas!

An amazing evening to celebrate our son’s wedding! The food was incredible and the staff went out of their way to make everything perfect. The personalized menus were a special touch. Atmosphere and service were fabulous. The bruschetta was sparsely topped. None of the people at the table liked their entrees. My entree had very little flavor and almost half a tomato ended up on the end of my fork; it looked like someone attempted and failed to dice it. One person complained that the desert was still partially frozen. Hopeful the kitchen was just having a rough night.

Went for our last date night in Kansas City, our first time here and definitely will not be our last. Our app came out wrong and three different people came to our table to personally apologize for the simple mistake. Our waitress was awesome, the customer service was top-notch, and those CRAB CAKES..if you're looking for an intimate dinner at a great price I would absolutely recommend Trezo Mare KC, great experience. Also, have a glass of the 15 year Macallan.

Atmosphere is fantastic! Like, fantastic. Music choice leaves a little to be desired but ambience other than that is on point! Food is decent, service is excellent! We sat on the patio and shared tiramisu and an aviation and our waitress (the patio closer that night, Sunday) was lovely! I work in the industry and I know late walk ins for desert aren't a servers favorite, but she was delightful! Very pleasant and caring. Will be back for sure.

This place is super nice and we were greeted warmly upon entering. Unfortunately, our waiter seemed a little distracted or maybe just new. He didn’t remember dish details and had to read some from his notepad. Our artichoke dip was cleared from the table before we were done which was really disappointing. The dishes were between good and very good, but nothing exceptional. The stuffed salmon was very good. The tomato basil soup was very good. Portion sizes were large. Been here several times now and brunch today was awful... waitress hannah was short lacked communication skills and was rude after having to ask several times for my drinks... dined at 1200 PM and there wasn't any French toast in house by then... restaurant wasn't busy and it took forever on our food... eggs were suppose to be over easy came out hard and crunchy.. potatoes were over cooked and marinated peppers tasted sour... won't be returning anytime soon...

Decided to try this place out after hearing that it was an awesome experience from a couple of friends who eat there regularly. I expected a high menu price but I figured that would also include Stellar service which I did not receive during our visit. It took them about 20 minutes before they even came to take the drink order and I think I saw our waitress a total of one other time even after we received our food. The food was really good but the portions were extremely small. Spent over $100 here which I expected but I was sadly disappointed with the poor service. I might give them another chance as maybe it was just a fluke, but it will be some time before I return

Another rather swanky sweet place. I had the 14 oz steak prepared rare as legally possible. It came with good dipping sauce around it. No need for steak sauce. I ate in the back with a large group of people by a fire place. I cannot comment on the pricing of this place as I didnt have to pay. The appetizer bread was ok. Some people in my party couldnt get enough of the bread and took some home with them. Our waitress was great. I drank a lot of water and she stayed on top of it.. poor lady. The au gratin potatoes were the best I have ever had. We pressed the waitress how they were prepared and they first bake the potatoes then slice them very thin then coat with cheese and bake again or something. The night before I had some left over Au-gratin potatoes from one of the BBQ places in KC and those were amazing but these took the prize. I was in a party of about 20 and they handled and accommodated us very well. We had a large wife shelf as a back drop behind glass so we got watch the staff use the ladders to go find the drinks people wanted. Good place I recommend if you have some coin to spend.

My wife and I ate here once something like 5 years ago, and honestly we didn't have anything special. I remember having a seafood sous-vide bento box dinner that was popular back then, but realized that sous-vide food doesn't have much flavor. So why go back? Gluten free lobster mac and cheese. My wife heard about this from her fellow gluten sensitive friends and wanted to give it a try. We are very impressed with their gluten free menu options. One bite into the mac and cheese and my wife declared that we have a new favorite restaurant. We started with the chicken and artichoke dip which was quite enjoyable. I had the En Fuego, which was a little like jambalaya. I enjoyed this seafood medley, but a personal preference would be to have the seafood/sausage chunks be a little bigger. I'm glad we went back and gave this restaurant another try. All thanks to gluten-free lobster mac and cheese. So why not 5 stars? Honestly I'm not sure they have earned it yet with only two visits to judge by. We do plan on going back, so this could easily change. Their brunch looks great, but I don't believe it starts until 11. Normally, if I can remember what I had for dinner like five years ago, it is usually a really good thing or a really bad thing. In this case, it was my first and last time for sous-vide fish in a bento box. This was popular back then, but not so much now.

We had them deliver salads and sandwiches to the Courtyard while the girls in the wedding party were getting their hair and makeup done in the suite. It worked perfect because we didn’t have time to go out to eat before heading to the venue. Sunday we had a family brunch in the wine room which was amazing and a great end to the wedding celebration.

Came here for staff lunch. Getting in was quick. The hostesses were very funny and friendly. After getting settled it didn't take long for everyone to figure out what to order. The wait for the food wasn’t long seeing as there was 8 in our party. Great tasting food and attentive waiting staff. I might say almost too attentive, to the point where one of the waitresses started clearing off the table, grabbing plates without even asking if you were done. She would even reach in front of you to fill your drink up without saying excuse me. Those would be my complaints. Some of use actually got a laugh out of it because of the look on the others’ faces as their plates began to rise and float away. Overall the experience was good.

The Summer Soirée, A Tasting Event 2019, At Trezo Mare Restaurant And Lounge On a beautiful summer afternoon there was gathering of beautiful people on the patio of Trezo Mare. It was a perfect day, not to hot with a gentle breeze moving across the patio. The sun was high in the sky, but it had already started its journey to the horizon. The whole patio was alive with people eating, drinking, and having a good time. They set our group up at the south end, close to the rail, in an open area, where a single tree provided us with some shade. As people started to arrive and mingle, a photographer was taking pictures of the beautiful table set up. Magically, drinks started to appear in people's hands and the conversation started to flow. As old man sun continued his path to the horizon, people started to group together and find seats. I was lucky enough to be with Angel, Carlton, and Danielle, fellow members of the KC Eats forum. Soon, the staff was coming around taking orders. The First Course was an appetizer sampler that consisted of three of their most popular appetizers. Traditional Bruschetta daily made focaccia bread, basil pesto, oven-roasted tomatoes, and house made mozzarella. Delicious, the pesto and tomatoes added a freshness and a bit of acidity to the creamy mozzarella. Crab Cake, cilantro curry, marinated peppers, preserved lemon. A crispy and slightly crunchy exterior gave way to a melt in your mouth interior and the curry brought it all together. Charcuterie, Scimeca's Italian sausage, prosciutto di Parma, salami, marinated olives and peppers, parmesan, grilled pineapple compote, Dijon Mustard, house made flatbread crackers. What I remember and liked most about this dish was the salami, paper thin, it melted in your mouth! The Second Course was the selection of your choice from their dinner menu. I chose Organic Salmon. Sitting on top of a bed of citrus risotto, that was surrounded by romance sauce and a basil pesto, along with a green onion emulsion, and topped with wood-fired asparagus. This was a beautiful and flavorful piece of fish. The Third Course was a dessert plate. Every plate was different and there was a lot of trading going on between the diners. And all the time we were there we were entertained by Kris Angelis and her guitar. A beautiful day, beautiful people, beautiful food and drink, and a great staff! Well Done Trezo Mare! Well Done Indeed!

Really quite a good location. Some of the staff are a little rude, but other members are exceptionally polite, so it balances out in favor. Food was unique and yummy. The wines appear to be a central attraction, and from what I can tell they are decent for the region and priced well. Will probably return.

Slow service , very slow, 230 PM restaurant was not busy at all..but we waited and waited between each course and had to ask for the desert after our meal was boxed..you would think they would know we were finished. The food was just ok. The desert was good. Wouldn't recommend it..it didn't feel like a celebration for us. 1st place during restaurant week that we wouldn't go back too. If it was busy I would hate to see how long the wait would be.
