Food was good. Was first time being here and my wife and I came in with our wedding party for dinner after rehearsal. We had to wait to snag up enough tables for ourselves..since this place is self service. I would prefer to be served at any place I sit down to eat. Upscale fast (sort of) food I would consider calling this. Was fun none the less, probably wouldn't return though.

I really like going here, despite my social anxiety... I only mention that because every time I have been here it’s packed. I take that as a good sign, everyone seems satisfied. Just don’t expect to walk in with a large group and get seating together. Lol! The burgers are great. Several different options for fries.... I love the duck fat fries !!! Last time I tried an alcoholic shake. Fun times.

I love the atmosphere of this downtown restaurant. The marshmallow dipping sauce is unique and great on the sweet potato fries This time I was a bit concerned that their beer process are getting too high. Some specials were $11 due to their high alc content I suppose. Try it out!

Oh man, this place was great! I happened by on "Chicken Tuesday" when you can take any burger style and have it made as a fried chicken breast instead at a $4 price reduction! You can also have any salad made with any style burger on top, so I combined both and got a Cobb salad with a Fire-style Chicken breast on top and then promptly destroyed it. Pair that with a side of fantastic sweet potato fries and load up on tons of homemade sauces & ketchups and you really can't go wrong here. Everybody else at my table went the burger route and were raving nonstop. Also: full bar + loads of beers on tap, what's not to love? If I find myself in Lawrence again, the Burger Stand will definitely be a revisit. You guys rock!

Best burgers, fries, corndogs, and shakes in town. This is one of the best in Lawrence. It’s a super cool place to hangout because it’s right on mass street and had three levels so you can usually always find somewhere to sit. There is also a really nice bar and lots of alcohol choices, including alcoholic shakes. Check it out!

If you're new to Lawrence or visiting, this is definitely one of the places that is worth checking out. If burgers are your thing, you're sure to find one you absolutely love among the large selection of extremely well-made burgers(including vegan and vegetarian options!!). Even if burgers aren't your thing, they make many, many other dishes that I've found either perfectly complement a burger or are worth trying on their own, such as the Hot Chicken Mac & Cheese. Overall, I know I plan to come here again and again.

Great Cob salad, tasty burgers, generous portions. Love the onion rings, too! We explained that it was our first night in Lawrence and she took the time to explain their unique method of ordering. Read the menu while in line, place your order, grab a seat and wait for your name to be called. Typical bar atmosphere, lots of beer choices, noisy bar chatter. Lot's of energy.Glad we stopped in. There was a great street musician wailin' on the sax right out the front door as we were leaving, good times indeed.

Love the Casbah!!! I drive for 30 mins each way from out of town waaayyy too often. The mushroom burger is great, the black and blue is delicious, the truffle fries are off the chain, and don't even get me started on the marshmallow dipping sauce. All in all everyone I have ever fed there goes on there own as often as I do now.

The B.S. Does it stand for burger stand or something else? Burnt frozen fries, twice in one night and again two days later overseen by the GM. I crumbled the burnt remains in my fingers before his eyes. Precooked meat held at room temperature sitting on a table for an hour and being served after a quick final cook. Cooking to par is a dangerous practice if not completely monitored and guidelines followed to execute a safe product. They don’t know how to do it safely and don’t care. I was banned as a patron for caring.

The Burger Stand is an awesome burger joint on Mass street. While the menu overall is pretty expensive (Burger, fries, and a drink are around $18 total), you definitely get what you pay for. Service was pretty quick, and all of the food was hot and fresh. I personally got the Kobe Burger and a side order of Truffle Fries, both were delicious. There are also a variety of French fry options, so everyone can order their preferred fry variant. There are milkshakes here as well, but I will have to try one next time!

Finally, an awesome place to find variety of veggie burgers. We tried the spicy burger with cauliflower patty and the garbanzo(chick pea) patty burgers and both were delicious. Their cajun fries are awesome. This is a must try for everyone.

I'd rather travel here for one of their "the classic" burgers than go to 5 Guys or Fuddruckers (although both of these places serve great burgers). The only drawback being no hamburger dill chip pickles (I bring in my own). I've sampled the veggie side of the menu and recommend the Impossibly Classic and the Spicy Shitake. A great selection of different fries and sides - I'm partial to the duck fat fries -, and shakes.

The employees taking orders ignore the customers who have been waiting in an extremely long line so they can talk about their weekends. I don't care what guy you made out with, just take my order already! Is this why the lines are so slow?? Because the kids you hire waste everyone's time socializing? Talk on your break or outside of work, you have a job to do! I stood there for a good 3min staring directly into the young lady's face and she just kept talking and laughing with the co worker. Finally I had to say something, "Are you going to take my order?" She didn't even seem bothered at all by my question, and made sure to finish her conversation first before helping me. There was a line to the door. Really? Rude. We've been here several times and there's extremely immature, unprofessional employees each time. Until you hire adults I won't be back.

Delicious burgers. I love the Black and Blue Burger... Their apple chutney spread is amazing pared with the blue cheese! I love how fresh the beef tastes, too, as well as the buns! Their duck fries are nothing short of delicious, and make sure to try their dipping sauces! Come on a weeknight for the quickest service. It gets busy on the weekends! Although pricey ($18 for burger and basket of fries), very good and worth it at least once.
