Holy Smokes! Couldn't believe the size of the Combo plate I ordered. About the same price as the competitions 3 meat combo. But 3 times the portion. I thought the platter was all of the tables orders. There was 3 of us. But nope it was all my order... No way I could eat all of it. And I'm a big guy! Next time it'll be a half combo! Smoked Creations is one of the most consistently great restaurants in a small town I've ever come across. They seem to do a good job attracting and retaining (or training) great staff - some of the best in the business. Food is awesome and quite consistent with good variety (as long as you like BBQ!). For me, a lot of good BBQ is about the sauce and SC has good variety there too which covers all my meat-sweat moods just fine (I love the hot BBQ sauce). Try the deep-fried pickles, you need them in your life even if you don't know it. Not a pickle fan? Then try the deep-fried cauliflower - amazing appetizer! We go here often and will continue to do so. Also, great for calling in an order and picking up if you live close.

The 3 meat, 2 side plate for $17.99 is a screaming deal! Brisket was a tad dry but good, sausage & chicken were great!. Had beans, sweet potatoes fries, red beans & rice were all great! Loaded potatoe chips appetizer was amazing too. Will be back for sure. Woulda been 5 stars if brisket was a bit better. Emma was our server & did a perfect job!

Several years ago, we stumbled on this place while making the journey between Kansas City and Wichita. Usually we order the beef brisket sandwich and fries. In an area of the United States that knows good barbecue, this is one of the best. Last Sunday, my wife and I were coming through Ottawa on our way back to Wichita. Unfortunately, I left my cell phone on the table. I did not realize my mistake until we reached home in Wichita some two hours later. I called Smoked Creations and they said that they recovered it and would mail it to me. Much to my relief, it showed up this morning via USPS. Thanks. Not only does Smoked Creations have some of the best BBQ in Kansas, the owner and the staff who work there go beyond what might be expected. It is great to see a local business that has both great food and service. Get off the freeway and stop by-you won't be disappointed.

This is the third time I’ve been to Smoked Creations in the past six months. The food is superb and very reasonably priced. It’s a gem just off of I-35. This is a good looking restaurant, super clean and the servers work tirelessly to make you happy. I have four teenagers who can be picky eaters. They all enjoy coming here. There’s a great selection on the menu and everyone’s enjoyed their entrees. Today our table demolished the fried pickle spear and onion ring apps. I had an amazing half slab of ribs. My wife enjoyed the brisket street tacos which she said was terrific. In short, this is one of the most reliable and tasty eateries on our dining shortlist.

These are the best ribs anywhere!!! Yes, I've eaten in just about every BBQ joint in KC. There are no better ribs anywhere. The sauce is just sweet and spicy to work perfect with the ribs. I've had most of the appatizers, and they are great too!! I tried the doughnuts today... Warm, sugary, fantastic!!! Always great friendly service!!! Can't pass it up when I go to Ottawa!!!

Great Kansas BBQ! I had the 3 meat, 2 side meal and it was fantastic. The brisket shaved thin, pulled pork great flavor and last but not least the jalapeno smoked sausage (my fav, and why I travel to eat here). The fam had ribs, wings and a burger. A must visit when looking for great Q. Also, Danielle great server, took care of all 8 of us.

Oh my gosh, literally the best barbecue I've had outside of Texas. I went twice and didn't regret it at all. It's one of those places you can order anything on the menu and it'll be amazing. Their sauces are great too, be sure to ask for the spicy one since they don't put it on their table by default. If you're in Ottawa and you love barbecue you have to try this place, enough said.

I went here for a business lunch and overall it was enjoyable with a few exceptions. I ordered the Cuban sandwich, it was good, but the pulled pork was very dry. The fries were good. My friend had the pulled pork with fries and fried corn. After one bite of the corn she put it down a said "It's sticky" She took it back to the office and received similar comments, no one ate it. Hopefully this is not the norm. The service was great, our waitress was friendly and our meals arrived quickly. Will I return on my next to to Ottawa ? Maybe, but I will give another item a try.

Brisket was kind of dry. The beans honestly tasted like something I could get at Walmart. Fries were very good. Multiple slices of my turkey and brisket were cold, not all of the slice but some of them. I wish there were more bbq sauce options the non mustard sauce tasted alright. Service was quick and our waitress was very nice. Our food came out really fast! Being from Kansas City I have tried tons of BBQ this place was slightly below average. Overall ehhhhh

Smoked Creations was the perfect example of Midwestern barbeque. The sweet potato tots are to die for, the proportions are more than enough, and the staff was very friendly. The only negative I could point out is that there aren't very clear directions to the restrooms, but that's a problem that can be easily resolved with a question to the server.

I went to smoked creations to meet Medicare representative and we had lunch!! The restaurant was pretty busy but our meal for brought out promptly and as per ordered. My ice tea glass was always refilled before was all drank up and the prices we're absolutely fantastic!! After finishing my meal and got my insurance purchased, I got up and walked out but before I got halfway to my car my waitress came running after me with my hat in hand and said you might want to take this with you!! That on top of everything else made it a very enjoyable visit

My husband always orders the ribs and has never been disappointed. He says they are the best he has ever had. I have tried several items from the menu and have found them each to be quite good. I especially like the Wise Guy sandwich which is spicy. I always choose homemade chips as my side dish selection but they have many options. The wait staff is inconsistent, generally not attentive, as we must usually wait for additional beverages. The building is interesting with patio seating and ample parking.

This spot was recommended by a worker at the Walmart distribution center and it did not disappoint. For $20 I got 10 delicious chicken wings, sweet potato tots, and jalapeno poppers. Service was friendly and quick, and the rest room was clean. Will return if I find myself in Ottawa, KS ever again.

Very good, had the spare ribs, falling off the bone, red beans and rice, just the right amount of spice. Wife had a combo, the jalapeno sausage was excellent, and the cajun fries were really good. And the donut dessert is incredible. The waitress was very attentive, kept my water filled, all of our orders were correct, all around a very good barbecue experience. Be sure to try the spicy barbecue sauce, it's very flavorful and not overly hot.

Smoked creations is great. The prices are fair , the food is incredible, they've got a good beer selection and great people on staff. I love going there and eating on the deck in the spring , out there you can see most of the taller buildings down town from there and there's a great view of the levee and the river.

Sat. Evening visit. Some what apprehensive because it was full, but we were seated in five minutes. Wife had a pulled pork slider, the size of a regular burger bun for $3. I ordered a slab of ribs for $19. If you are lucky, Emerald may be your server! At a loss for enough good things to say about this place with a rather strange name for a bbq joint. Have eaten ribs from Hutchinson (Roy's, Great!) to Rendevous in Memphis( Terrible) and these rank 1a , at least equal to Roy's. Service was FAST in spite of the crowd! Will go back.
