The burgers are top rate with fresh ingredients and toppings. Good fries but I'll still give the edge in that department to Five Guys. However dipping sauces goes to Smitty's Garage. They also take the variety department seeing as they also have salads, tacos and chicken sandwiches and meatless options too. I will say it's a tie for burger supremacy between Smitty's Garage and Five Guys. Having said that the better restaurant is Smitty's Garage no contest because they offer way more. I'll be back way to many times.

Side salads come with tortilla chip strips on them. The bacon is salty. The chili is really salty. At least my rum and diet soda had legs. I liked the outdoor patio. Our server was nice. They don't have Blue cheese dressing. Husband had the eggonator burger which he liked. There is live music on Fridays in the summer on the lawn at Ward Parkway.

Fun, casual atmosphere. Order at counter and they bring out food . Also a full service bar . Pick a burger . Turkey, beef. Quinoa patty . Etc then choose what toppings you want. Several options . Fries are great and love the Cole slaw. Cheap eats . Good food . Quick and easy

I have visited the restaurant a couple times. A cross between a sports bar and a casual burger place with yummy drinks and good food. Service is good most of the time, and food comes out quickly. The sweet potato fries are delicious. Their queso is okay, but not great. They also have good deals during happy hour.

Ordered 2 burgers and specialty fries via postmates. Flavor was good but food arrived cold and soggy-- and 10 minutes late. I know this is probably due to the delivery driver, but if you are going to allow external drivers to deliver your food, you should have better quality control. May try again in person, will definitely never order via postmates again.

Food was good, place was pretty dirty. A lot of dirty tables with staff standing around. They had a hard time getting orders right and out in a timely manner. It took 35 min to get our food. I wont be back after this visit.

Great place to eat. I live the atmosphere and the fact that they gave servers attending to your table. I usually get a burger or the grilled chicken sandwich and always with sweet potato fries. Delicious! I'm very happy Smitty's garage came to Kansas city!

Good burger! If you want alcoholic drinks from the bar, I suggest sitting within eyesight of the bartender. We sat over on the other side where a wall divided the area and the staff didnt come by as often. Still good service for the style of the restaurant and the food was really good!

This place is rad, burgers were fantastically big and delicious. There's a little for everyone here. Decent vegan options, and a friendly and efficient staff. Radically yummy.

This place is cool! The atmosphere is very fun and friendly. They have good food. Lots of options including several protein options for their burgers. They also have sandwiches, salads, fish and chips, etc. They host a brunch every weekend and have bingo on Friday nights. Your order your food when you walk in and before you seat yourself. Then your food is brought out to you. There aren't really specific wait staff. There are food runners and then there's bar staff and it was tricky to know who to order a drink from. But the staff was friendly and always checked on us. The nice thing about how they do it is that when you're done eating you can get up and leave. You don't have to wait for a check. Overall a great place to go.

I have always want to try this place so bad. I didn’t really go in a busy time mostly cause it was in a middle of a huge snowstorm and lunch. The atmosphere seems to give hints of it being really fun at night with them always refilling your drink. Not having to go to the bar the bar goes to you. Then you talk about the food nice juicy burger and crispy fries. A perfect place just to get a burger or sit down and have a couple of beers.

I want to hate chain restaurants, but this one is surprisingly good. Made-to-order burgers with your choice of protein provides for a lot of options and everything I've had to date has been great – even the tacos. I appreciate that their tap selection is fairly robust and rotates occasionally. Pro tip: If you're planning on getting a drink anyway, consider skipping the counter and going straight to the bar; the bartender can take your food order and you'll get even better service.

If you want a burger and a great atmosphere to eat it, this is your place. This is what a burger should taste like. Not the fast food junk. The fries are hand cut and delicious. I have not had anything bad there. Service has been outstanding.

Burgers and tacos; Vegan and gluten free options available. I had tacos which were outstanding! However, the entire time we were waiting for our food, we kept seeing the most had-dropping, mouth-watering burgers coming out of the kitchen. Inasmuch, the staff was just as great as the food! Smitty’s is the best! Not only are the prices reasonable, but the menu is great— they have the standard greasy burgers but there are also healthier options (including ovegan, gluten free and vegetarians items). While the food and drinks are great, I keep coming back because of the amazing customer service. A co-worker and I are frequent customers and see David over the lunch rush. He is so kind, personable and professional!

I love this place their burgers are cheaper than fast food and taste 1000% better. Not a bad beer selection either. A must try for a different taste than other places in the area.

Casual place. Be a great place to go have beers, apps, which btw, are quite quite good, and meet up with friends. Have dinner or lunch here you will be very happy you did.

What a wonderful place for amazing burgers and a fun atmosphere. I went on a Friday with a friend and it was very busy but everything was smooth and quick!!! Customer service was top-notch and as soon as someone got up to leave the table was cleared. Employees were coming by often to bus our table and to check up on us. The burgers are MASSIVE and absolutely delicious!!! The ingredients are fresh and high end. I will be coming back often!!! Fun place and incredible food!!!

Our server, Alexandria, was very nice. The food was good, but took much longer than normal. Although the wait was disappointing, we we thrilled when it finally arrived. Not sure why we had to ask 3 times for them to switch one of thany TV's to Sunday night football. We thought that would be a "given" at a sports bar on a Sunday night!

If you are looking for the a college bar experience this may be the burger joint for you. When you enter the establishment there is a plethora of old school items that a majority auto service garage based. The menu is the typical burger and fries type deal. The burgers are under seasoned and the fries are well seasoned. Nevertheless, they offer and array of alcoholic beverages. It has a very college bar feel and most patrons are teens to mid 20s.

We love Smitty's and have visited for lunch on weekends at least 5 times. The burgers and fries are always delicious. The avocado chicken salad is amazing - get the chipotle ranch and hide it under the table so your husband doesn't use it all as a fry sauce. The managers always check with you after the food comes out. I think we've had one mistake and it was quickly remedied.

Tasty burgers! Great service! It's def a place for family with children or just a group of friends hanging out. The Friday night bingo is a great surprise as well! Also very pocket friendly menu. Burgers were juicy and flavorful, toppings were fresh and you could see and taste the quality of all the ingredients. Great place! Service was also exceptional. We did a double date night and it was perfect for us all. We will definitely be returning.

I had the Bacon Avocado Ranch Burger w/fries & the flavor of all were top notch! It was my first time eating @ Smitty's & I took 3 of my daughter's & we met my parents. We did have an issue with some of the burgers & fries not being warm but we let them know. It was a matter of the items sitting a little to long before reaching our table. However, the staff reacted appropriately, they took the cold items & delivered hot ones. How a company handles problems that occur is more important than trying to act like they never occur. That's impossible! Great flavor, great customer service & they gave us money off the next visit! Thanks Smitty's, we'll be back soon!

Had a Fabulous Classic Burger, today, at Smitty's Garage and Sports Bar, KC, MO on State Line. You build your own burger, of Turkey, Beef, Vegan among others, and add ingredients. WHAT MAKES IT SUPERB "IS" THE QUALITY IF THE BURGER ITSELF. I had beef, sauteed onion and mushroom, bacon and avocado with lettuce; I wanted to taste the ingredients, so I didn't spoil it with any condiments. Sweet Potatoe Fries were Delicious !

Great food and decent prices. A Big G Burger and three sides was more than enough for two of us. Do not expect tableside service but fairly quick and awesome wait staff. Only downside is can not put food and drinks on same bill. Other than that great casual place to grab a great bite.

I was pleasantly surprised! The decor is...questionable (so many TVs). The menu boards (also TVs) are garish and the ordering process wonky. But man, the food is tasty. I had the Hatch Green Chile burger and onion rings and they were delicious. My son got a hot dog and fries (also delicious). The floor staff guy came by about ten minutes into the meal asking if he could bring the popsicle included with the kid's meal by the table in a few minutes. "I just wanted to make sure he ate enough of his meal," he asked. I was extremely impressed! And yes, my son loved the popsicle.

Great little burger joint, you have the option of a regular hamburger, bison and one other. There are also quite a few options if you aren't a burger person: salad, street tacos, etc. Portions are pretty large for the price as well. The ordering set up is a little weird though. My boyfriend and I came in and there was an entrance for the bar and an entrance for the bar, but if you want food you have to order first and then go to the bar.

Man... where do I begin!! This place is amazing! Huge menu with plenty of variety! Try the loaded queso app.... flavorful and meaty with a bit of spice from the jalapenos. The onion rings are perfectly battered, the fries are hand cut and the burgers.... the BURGERS are juicy (squeeze it after that first bite if you don't believe me) NOT greasy with plenty of toppings and configurations. Coke products including grape soda and a tasty adult beverage menu (try the drink they serve in a plastic pineapple). It's a seat yourself joint and seating can be challenging when they are busy. Nice decor and friendly staff! BONUS... they are next door to Hurts Donuts!
