The register worker did a fantastic job. He checked on us to see if we needed anything. I wish I knew his name because we go there often and by far best employee. It was the night the coke machines were down and he said he was bummed to because he wanted a Dr. Pepper. Hopefully you can figure it out and give him kudos.

Sadly this is the first time I've tried Slim Chicken as they have been open for a while now. Surprisingly its really good, its the best chicken in Starkville. I ordered online, the drive through window was on the ball, my order was prepared to order and ready right on time without any wait.

I live in Omaha but hear Slim Chickens advertised quite a bit on my favorite radio station KZKX 96.9 so when I was in Lincoln today with my two little boys I made it a point to drive 7 miles out of my way to stop by Slim Chickens and give it a shot. I figured since it was home-made southern style chicken strips it had to be good. Pros: -Generous portions. Tons of fries. -Loved the design of building, the ambiance, the seats and chairs -Service was good, even though I only saw two employees -Good variety of dipping sauces. I recommend the Cayenne Ranch Cons: -Chicken was bland -Breading is bland, seems to have no seasoning at all -Chicken was very chewy and very nearly undercooked. It was fully cooked but just barely. Seems they are cutting very close to serving under-cooked chicken in an apparent effort to ensure the strips come out juicy -Chicken itself was juicy, but again, chewy and nearly undercooked -Fries had some seasoning but the seasoning was not very strong in flavor and very little seasoning was present -Parking area and stalls are oddly small. If you drive a pickup, park further away and walk up. I wanted to like this place, but frankly, Raising Cane's is significantly better. I literally make better homemade chicken strips than Slim Chickens at home in my spare time.

This place is great. They have a wide variety of sauces that you can add to the chicken or get on the side. There are delicious sides and conveniences like online ordering so you just have to walk in and grab it. (Online it says to park in the pickup location but this branch doesnt offer that apparently). Still I like having my order ready to go without having to wait in line. If the prices were just slightly less it would be a five star for sure. Perks like 50 cents for a real cup to take home and glass jars for dessert are amazing perks of this place.

wings are some of the best in town! i am not a huge tender fan and theirs are fine, but i prefer wings. the other day, they messed up my order (forgot some tenders on one of the plates). i did not notice until i got home. i called and they said they would replace the meal. i was not coming back to town for several hours and they took care of me when i got there. great customer service!

The service of this establishment is utterly deplorable due to one employee - MONIQUE (1038)! She is an absolute disgrace to the name of this restaurant/franchise! I am completely astounded by the discourteous tone that she used with me and my friend in the drive-thru during my first visit (and I have heard so much about this restaurant)! I never thought that asking if their lemonade was “sweetened” or “unsweetened” would merit such unprofessionalism! Monique literally replied, “I mean what do you think? It’s sweet... it’s lemonade.” I just moved here three days ago from New York City and while living there, I was never ever disrespected by people who work in customer service. I would expect that in New York; not in Wichita! I will never return to this establishment because of her. The food was good, too so they just lost a potentially frequently customer who’s a new employee of the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office! #NeverAgain

Great experience. Went through the drive-thru and ordered 3 large orders. They didn't make me pull forward or anything. In fact, the guy said "you just sit back, relax, and enjoy this beautiful weather. We'll have it out as soon as it's done." I wish this happened more often at other places.

Good quality chicken just like other small local chains - Abner's and Raising Cane (my favorite). Cooked once ordered and served piping hot. A confusing number of dipping sauce options is available. I recommend the original - Slim sauce. Not listed on the menu board - chicken is also available grilled. And while the menu only shows meals, you can get everything a la carte.

I was there 4/17/19 about 1:45 the gentleman that took the order and that was at the window was professional and made sure my meal was hot and cooked as asked. It's been a few weeks since I last came here but the management at this restaurant is the worst I have ever seen. Chris? I believe is the name in big tacky letters on the door when you walk in. The service here was slow, probably due to the fact I watched one young lady stop to socialize with her friends while on the clock. I dinned in months ago and there was a leak in the ceiling. I dinned in again two weeks ago and the same leak was STILL there. So that being said, I guess the solution has been to keep a bucket in the middle of the floor everyday for months. My family has been in the restaurant business for years. When problems aren't taken care of in a timely manor and the staff is unprofessional, it's obvious to me that the general manager lets whatever fly. Needless to say.. I will not be coming back.

I would not reccomend using the online ordering. I arrived at the recommended time. My meal was not ready at that time. So I Waited for a total of 20 minutes until another customer noticed that my order was waiting for pickup. after returning to my car I noticed that the dessert that I had ordered was not in the bag. Upon returning to the ordering counter, I was told that they had left it out intentionally because they didn't have any left. I was told that because I orders online I could not get a refund for the item and had to choose another option. The food was not warm when I got it. would not recommend pre-ordering under any circumstance.

I'd maybe go back and give it another try, try something else. My buffalo chicken wrap was very disappointing, flavorless and very little buffalo sauce. Fries were disgustingly old, cold and chewy. I came when Slim first opened & had an amazing experience. Weeks went by and now I can't get any hot fries to save my life, something is always cold. I asked for fresh fries and all the worker did was REDROP them back into the grease, instead of just dropping some fresh fries even after I said I would wait. The service is just horrible here. What good is the food if the workers don't care?

Tonight was my first time eating Slim's. I must say, I was very impressed. Their food is hot and fresh. I ordered a 4 piece chicken tender with mac and cheese and a piece of Texas toast. I think next time I'll try their chicken and waffles. One thing I really want to praise Slims on. Emergency personal receive a hefty discount. Tonight, my partner and I recieved our meals free of charge. Hat tip to you Slims.

I always love the food at Slim Chickens and the manager Tony went above and beyond to make sure we had a great dining experience at this particular location! We got our food quickly without any problems as expected but my daughter has a newborn and she sat his carseat on a chair; Tony brought her a highchair and showed her how to secure his seat so she didn't have to worry about the baby falling. He treated us and the rest of the diners like friends! This kind of friendly service coupled with the delicious food will keep us coming back to this Slim Chickens!

This place has been open a few weeks now, and I've been through the drive-thru twice. Each time, my very simple "Slim's" chicken tender plate was missing some of the chicken strips and sauces. It's partly my fault for not checking the order the second time, after they screwed up the first time. I won't be coming back to throw my money away a third time.

First time visiting. Ordered the simplest thing on the menu. My order went missing and was asked multiple times what I ordered. After I finally asked for my money back the lady taking my order proceeds to continue to talk with another employee about my order. I ask again for my money back and to speak with the manger. Sitting here now waiting on 20+ minutes for our ‘fast food’. The drive thru seems to be moving along fine but inside is slow as molasses. The servers are running around not able to connect orders to the numbers on tables and are shouting out orders. They came around 10 minutes and gave each table 1 voucher for a free meal as they apologized. 1 free meal voucher regardless of how big the table is. Kind of ridiculous when you wanted faster foods; haven’t experienced this with any of Slim I’ve been to.

Since the opening in Starkville, we have been eating here a lot! It is the FASTEST food I have ever eaten, most times the food is at the table before I am. Hit or miss a little too much. The food is great, the service lacks at times. Avoid the drive-thru, they tend to make the majority of mistakes in the drive-thru and will often fail to give you a receipt. I wish the service matched the food, I would bump the score and order more often.

One of the good places to eat chicken fries and wings. The interior looks nice and perfect for hanging out. The wings ( mango havanero) were good. The sauce is more on the sweeter side, and less spicy compared to the mango- havanero in other places. The dipping sauce ( garlic Parmesan ) was not that good, however the fries are good. Anyways, I would recommend the place for a quick bite.

I saw the name and I had to go in this place was very clean the restroom clean the service was great the chicken and waffles was amazing the chicken is lightly padded and they caught us Southern but truly Southern Chicken is heavily battered there were plenty of places to sit and many options on the menu they do have dessert they have a drive-thru they make the waffles fresh as you order them and I think they cook the chicken fresh as well this was the only one that I saw in Nebraska well Lincoln actually so I don't know if there was another I guess you can do a Google search they have or had 599 waffle Wednesdays when I went which means you got three chicken tenders and Waffle for that price I do recommend this for cheap family gathering or friends night out or great quick lunch

Had a double charge on our receipt on our first visit to this location. Taking it up the register had the double charge removed without a problem AND the person who had accidentally double charged us came to the table and personally apologized for the mistake! I went to this location right after it opened and had a great experience and food. Boy has it gone downhill. My chicken wings were overcooked and tough. I ordered a 6-piece and got 5 middle wing sections and only one shoulder piece. The kettle chips were under cooked and more chewy than crunchy. Drive through is open daily until 11 pm. Service is consistently prompt, and staff are friendly and helpful. The food is always prepared fresh, so the wait is typically longer than most other drive-throughs. It is worth the extra 3-5 minutes it takes to get your food though. Tenders and wings are always hot, and Slim Chickens's fries are among the best in town (easily the best available after 10:00 pm).

Usually just do the drive thru but ate inside today and really enjoyed it. They have the best Peach Tea! Hubby and I got three chicken strips and fried pickles. The chicken was very good, light on the breading which is perfect for me along with a nice sweet but not too hot Mango Habanero dipping sauce. I enjoyed the pickles but they are too salty for me. We shared a Strawberry Cheesecake dessert jar and ate it before our food came out, it was great! We normally get the chocolate fried pies but we were glad we tried something different.

The thing that upset me the most was the sweet tea I ordered. I expected your typical black tea you find everywhere but this was not that. When I took a swig, I was greeted with a weird after taste. After trying a few times, it started to remind me of a vegetable. Then it dawned on me, I am drinking sweet green bean tea. THE TEA TASTED LIKE GREEN BEANS! Super slow getting my food to me. But the fried pickles, okra, and chicken is amazing. Also the outdoor seating was clean, good thing too because the inside has limited spacing. Recommend going before lunch rush, especially if your lunch break is only an hour.

The food is good, but oh my goodness are they slow on Sundays. We had carryout multiple times and even calling 15 min ahead doesn't seem to help; we're still waiting an additional 10-15 min for our order when we arrive; but the food is good if you're willing to wait during peak lunch times.

Went and tried this place for the first time yesterday the sauces and the fries were good for sure, however the chicken strips were cold. No body else was there so i am assuming the chicken was made earlier in the day and just left out. Most likely will not be going back.

Haven't been thrilled with the service lately. Last couple of times we have bought food the orders have been wring everytime, but I am however willing to give it four stars because they are quick to fix it. I just feel like half the time they have a teenager behind the register that isnt paying attention or isnt probably knowledge on their P.O.S system.

Just finished my first meal after waiting ten minutes for them to make it. The food is Not Great. Smashed soggy bread on the flavorless chicken sandwich. Cold mushy fries. The sandwich was supposedly "just made." Uh huh, okay, right. Asked for buffalo sauce for one meal and bbq for the other. Didn't get either. Maybe they were just having a bad night, but I probably won't eat there again for a while.

Went to the opening and Man was it good. I believe that it is going to give the other chicken places in Starkville a run for their money. The sauce are great and several to choose from. honey mustard and Korean sauces are awesome. Their fried pickles and okra were GREAT! The chicken was so juicy, moist and tasted great. The staff was friendly and always making sure you had anything and everything you need. All and all it was an awesome place to eat.

Great Cayenne Ranch with the fried onions. I even add a little Koren BBQ to mix up the flavors on my sandwich. Mac & Chz is my favorite. My family loves tenders & wings with fries. We have eaten there several times, and want to like it...but the chicken has no flavor!! Everything else is good! And on Sundays kids eat free with an adult meal. But what's up with the flavorless chicken? Despite that it is breaded and appears to have spices added? Less than impressed with the chicken at a restaurant that specializes in chicken...and has the word chicken in their name.

I so wish they had this chain in Canada. Prices are way below expected. Some of the best (other than homemade) chicken I have ever had. Great portion sizes, good variety of menus items. Staff are friendly. They need some sound baffles installed, it can get very loud in there especially since it is a large cavern of a space.

This place is SO OVERPRICED. Got the 5 and 5 (five wings and five tenders). The wings had hardly any meat, sauces were mediocre. You can literally get better wings at the gas station next door. The chicken tenders were bland and SO SMALL. they looked like popcorn chicken. I even put my house's key next to one to measure them (regular size key), and you guessed it, my key was larger. On top of all of that, fries were unseasoned and cold. So if you want to pay $13 for the most pathetic chicken platter in Edmond, dont miss out on this place.

Thanks for the food poisoning!!! Last night food tasted odd. By one a.m. I was on a bathroom floor in bad shape. I have no doubt it was from your food. Won’t be back and neither will my family. The time just before this my son and I ate in and we waited 35 minutes for our food. There was like ten people in the place. That order was brought out wrong, cold, and late. The joke is that I lost 8 lbs of water weight from a place called Slim Chickens.

Slim Chicken's was very generous and kind to my family. We went on Sunday and we were planning on grabbing 2 kids meals with our adult meals for free in the drive thru. However, when I was about to pay I saw the cost and was about to be out an extra $10. The cashier explained the free kid's meal with adult purchase is for dine-in only. He said he would waive the fee this time. #MadeACustomerForLife We'll plan to dine-in next time we go on a Sunday.
