The food was amazing and for such a little place it packs a knockout punch on the taste scale. The hospitality is the best in town the owner comes out and makes it a priority to explain what goes into the dish as you eat. Its AMAZING! No photo of the outside because it doesnt do this place justice. Its an average building and the"Wow" factor happens when you get inside. You have to visit and take anyone you know. Its healthy, delicious, and has free sides and a small dessert. Im all in and its my first time. No other place like it in Salina its worth every penny. And did i mention im not one for eating out.

My wife and I decided to eat here on Saturday and were pleasantly surprised to find it is buffet only on Saturday around lunch. We could see the staff preparing fresh batches in the kitchen. The restaurant was very clean and well decorated. We arrived just before noon and seemed to beat the lunch rush which I would highly advise if you don't want to stand in line for your food. They were even patient with us when our lunch meeting ran near their closing time (2pm after lunch). We definitely plan to visit Seoul again soon!

I lived in Salina while going to college and discovered this absolute gem. It is my favorite restaurant in Salina. I’ve since moved away but every time I’m in town for an alumni event or visiting friends, I try to stop by and grab a bite to eat. Joomi and her family are so friendly and accommodating, the food is delicious, and the restaurant is so clean! I’ve not been able to find a similar Korean restaurant, even in bigger towns. If you’re a local, make this a regular stop, if you’re driving through, make sure to stop in! You won’t regret it!

We are from out of town and were looking to try something local and new. We tried this place because of the great reviews it’s received. We ended up waiting for over 30 minutes for our food. After 20 minutes I asked if our food was going to be finished soon and she told me they had a lot of orders ahead of us. Looking around I was confused since they seemed pretty slow, but assumed it was carry out orders. Although they should have told us it was going to be a long wait. We were both pretty hungry when we arrived, and would have just gone somewhere else. Food was just okay, and not worth the wait.

Stopped here on our way to California. The menu is somewhat limited (there is no jiggae of any type), however the dishes they do have tastes very authentic. We had the dolseut (hot stone plate) bibimbop and japchae which were delicious! While the kimchi is not on the menu, you can ask for it. The owner and staff are delightful.

First time eating here so of course I had to try everything I could so I got the sampler it smelled amazing on the ride home and it was delicious it's pretty awesome that the sides are put out like a salad bar so you can have as little or as much as you would like based on your appetite I would definitely go back

We stopped here just passing through on a road trip, and we were pleasantly surprised. Who knew a gem like this was in Salina, Kansas! The owner is warm and hospitable, she takes care to explain about the food and how it is made. I had the chicken ramen, and it is by far the best Asian food I have ever had. It was unlike anything I have tasted even at other Korean restaurants. The owner takes a lot of pride in the food and environment of the restaurant. Anyone passing through should not pass this up!

I was driving through Salina, Kansas on my road trip to Oregon and decided to stop here because I saw they had beef bulgolgi on the menu. I was not disappointed! The prices were great and the cut of beef was amazing. It was made of ribeye with the fat trimmed so it was also a very healthy meal! Everyone I spoke to at the restaurant was very polite and hardworking. If I ever drive through Kansas again I will definitely be stopping here.

I got the sweet potato noodles vegetable dinner, Delicious but very few veg's, only some mushroom and carrot. Served on a bed of rice. I think it a bit odd to serve noodles over rice but maybe I just need more info abt. Korean food. This was my first time. More Q's on my part would have led to a better experience. Fortunately I always travel with nuts and raisins so I added them at the motel and made the meal more balanced.

If you live in Salina, or are just passing through, go get some amazing fresh food at Seoul USA Korean restaurant. The prices are reasonable, there are plenty of meat eater/vegetarian/vegan options, and the staff is wonderful. Perfect lunch spot driving through Kansas that is way better than any fast food. This place is a gem! Thanks for the wonderful eats.

Enjoyed lunch, they have not a giant selection but it is very good. I have not seen glass noodles on a buffet before. When I was there not many other people where there but was at the tail end of lunch. They kept the meat in smaller batches to keep fresh. Staff was friendly and the RR and dining room were clean.

Very nice people working there. They are very anttentive to they customers. If you ask the will explain every dish and drink in the menu. For vegan people this place have good options a they are very careful about that if you talk with they. A lot of options with tofu, veggies and rice. The relation between price and food is good. The serving size is decent and the taste is good.

I have never had Korean food, so I cannot speak for the authenticity, but the food was delicious, and the staff were extremely polite. Most of the menu items were available in a tofu version, so they had many vegetarian and vegan options and are very familiar with what vegan means. It was a great dining experience, and I would definitely visit again!

Literally my favorite food in town. Ive had a lot of korean food in my day, Joomi hits it just right and even those who dont know korean culture and food can easily understand the menu. Ive been coming here since the original storefront on 9th st. And its only improved since. The soup is great for cold rainy days, and the kimbab is fanstantic for those summer days you want to go on a picnic with. They provide excellent service, Joomi and Tim are always there to explain the culture and make new friends! They care about there customers and go the extra mile to show they care. They have international nights, where they invite new people to share their heritage with customers and its been a huge success! Salina has so many great people, and its wonderful to see what food is unique to them. Just writing this review is making me crave the curry. I highly recomnend you not only go once, but as many times as it takes to find that mean that warms your heart, I garuntee you'll find it here.

First time eating here. Staff was helpful. Eating area was clean and comfortable despite being in an old Wendy's restaurant. Screens and comfortable seating helped to create a nice ambience. You order at the front and seat yourself and they call you to come pick up your order but we did have a waitress bring out our hot bowl for us. Cups were Styrofoam but it was very nice to eat with actual silverware and on plates that were not disposable. Food was delicious. We had the Seoul Sampler and a hot bowl. They offered a small chilled bar of salad vegetables and a help-yourself soda machine/fountain. There also was a small table with a tiramisu type dessert that was also a "help-yourself. Entrees ranged from $6 to $9. I had their house tea which was a cold brew of a cinnamon and ginger black tea for $1.75 . Soda drinks were priced the same. They also offer aloe Vera juice for a bit more. I will be back! Great inexpensive and quick meal!

What an awesome surprise!! Was driving from Kansas City to Denver when I got hungry around Salina. Not wanting McDonald's, Taco Bell, or the usual assortment of exit ramp fast food, I googled local eateries and decided to be adventurous. The food was amazing, it had a very fair price for the amount of food given, and the staff was VERY friendly. Absolutely no complaints. Would recommend to anyone passing through.

Decor is simple, but food is excellent. I had the japchae rolls and a beef bibimbap clay pot, and it was lots of food for one guy. Bibimbap was nicely presented, and you could hear the rice sizzling. Without sauce, it’s a little bland, but if you add some generous squirts of the provided “gochujang” sauce, it’s really excellent! Similarly, the japchae rolls are quite good (maybe a little oily?) and the provided sauce really makes them great. Everyone working here was extremely friendly, and I commend them on their kitchen cleanliness (you can see the entire open kitchen) and care. I’ll definitely be back to try some more dishes the next time I’m in Salina.

The friendly and helpful staff at the counter broke down the most popular dishes and helped us pick something to try on our first visit. I had the dumpling ramen and my husband had the beef hot pot bibimbap. We also got an appetizer of the fried dumplings to share, and we enjoyed their in-house iced tea which was very cinnamon forward but paired with the spice in the food nicely (kind of like a non-creamy chai tea). All of our food was delicious! Broth from the ramen was so good I was drinking it straight from the bowl when I was done so none of it went to waste. I'm kinda sensitive to spice, so I went with the mild, and I'm glad I did - definitely had some kick to it. Decent number of people there for a Wednesday night, clearly a winner. We will be back!!

I am a local girl and love to eat. We’ve been eating at this place for years and I cannot say enough good things about it. The food is always delicious and fresh. The owner goes out of her way to help you and explain anything she can. A few years ago my son was home sick and only wanted Joomi’s ramen. They were really busy that day, but she personally made them special just for him. To this day he still calls them “sick noodles”. It’s little things like this that make a business special.

Just finished lunch with my little girl. The curry rice here is ASTOUNDING! I've had Indian Curry and, while good, it burned my mouth off. This curry was a yellow curry and had an almost sweet after taste. I also purchased a sampler platter and while good, the curry outshined it with the probable exception of their sweet potato noodles. I didn't get to eat a lot of this food because my daughter practically horded them. They were clearly her favorite. When I first ordered I was concerned at the price, about nine dollars a dish, but the value was much more than I anticipated. The staff was friendly and helpful, the service was simply exceptional, and the establishment was clean and inviting. The Seoul USA Korean Restaurant has earned my repeat business.
