First off the food was fabulous with great flavor! The service awesome! The waiter had us waters ready before we even sat down because it was hot outside and then he took our drink order. The restaurant was cute and clean but kind of small and a little cramped. Although I would definitely recommend Sabor for a nice light lunch!

Once a year my job brings me to the Wichita area and this is a "must go to" restaurant for me. The drinks are delicious, the staff are always incredibly nice and helpful and the food is absolutely delightful. I've tried a lot of dishes from the coconut shrimp, to muscles, to tenderloin and more. Never have I walked out of there unsatisfied. Another yummy side dish to get is the green chili mac. Try it at least once...it will not disappoint.

Don't often travel to Wichita, but I seek this place out every time. Wonderful modern take on Mexican and other Latin dishes. Have sat at the bar each time and the bartender was excellent. Very reasonable prices for what you get. You can tell they have a chef and/or kitchen staff that have a passion for quality food.

Hands down, my favorite restaurant. I’m in love with the ceviche. So... good, with the perfect touch of tomato sauce/juice and shrimp. I often order a side of avocado cream dip for the plantains, though the ceviche is the perfect dip for the plantains as well.

Whenever I get to Wichita, Sabor is a MUST! Eclectic menu from churrasco steak to salmon salad. Great combinations of spices and flavors. Nice assortment of libations to compliment any entree choice. Portion sizes are excellent. Prices are reasonable and parking is adjacent or in nearby garage. We miss this small town great restaurant! We always enjoy stopping here for a good meal with our close friends. So far they haven’t disappointed us.

We were just wandering around this afternoon and came into Sabor. Luckily it was also happy hour!! Wahoo! We snagged a couple of margaritas and their super yummy queso and continued on our quest of other great drinks and bites down in old town. Service was great! And greeted as soon as we walked in. Stop by for appetizer had ceviche was delicous and tried a mango cheesecake one of the best cheesecake I have ever tried. 4 out 5 stars because I had not tried a main entree but with flavor and service I recieved just be a matter time when I'll come back to try it all out!

I tried the quinoa rellenos, quinotto and queso dip. The quinotto was my favorite - the asparagus was an excellent component. The dishes I tried were a just bit too salty for me and a couple bucks beyond what seems reasonable, but it seems to be a trendy area so I think you're paying for that too. Overall interesting and pretty good (from the perspective of a non-local raised on Mexican food)!

Went here for a birthday party. Twenty people were in attendance and each person commented that the food was delicious. The portions are generous. The menu includes beef, chicken, fish, and vegetarian entrees. I liked our server; he was very personable. However, he struggled to keep up with our tables. He probably needed to ask for help.

We went to Sabor on a Saturday evening. Got a seat immediately when we walked in, server was courteous. It was almost 6pm and the crowd was light. I should have taken that as a sign. We ordered a couple appetizers and drinks. The fried plantains were delicious, but the pieces were too big to easily eat. The hummus was good. I ordered the skirt steak tacos with soft corn tortillas and a house salad. I was served my tacos, but had to ask for the salad. Once it was delivered, it was good. I started to eat my tacos, and the shell immediately split. They didn't use a double corn tortillas on the tacos. I mentioned the problem to my server and he said they would fix it. Once it was brought back it was in flour tortillas. I pointed that out, and they said they would remake it correctly. I stated that everyone at my table was done with their meal, and to just forget it. Later the front room manager came by and apologized about the error, and said that we would not have to pay for my meal. I found that funny, since I didn't actually get a meal, so mentioning I wouldn't have to pay for a meal I wasn't able to eat only really sounded generous without actually being generous. Lesson learned.

Wee had a family dinner here last night 2/23/19. My husband was very ify about this place. But once we got their the margaritas were Awesome. The food was AMAZING. Went there last night for dinner and it was wonderful. We sat outside on a beautiful Saturday night and enjoyed our dinner at Sabor. I had the churasco steak and it was very flavorful with the green beans that were very good. My wife had the fish tacos and they were good as well.

Went out for a nice night on the town and we always try something new if we can. Sabor did not disappoint one bit. Service and food were on point and the server was able to suggest foods for our vegetarian family as well as us carnivores! So much flavor in the foods and the portions were very nice as well. Large variety of drinks with a very diverse selection. I would recommend this place to anyone who loves bold flavor and unique foods. We will visit again!!!

Enjoy every meal I have here due to their flavorful seasonings and attractive presentation. And know if you're gluten-free, as I am, just talked to the server and many of the foods not listed as gluten-free can be made that way as well. This used to be one of my favorite places, but I'm done. After several orders for take out that have been totally wrong, they finally got it right. Correct order but found a dead honey bee in my cesar salad. Pretty easy to spot if you are doing quality control. They clearly do not do any quality control. It's not worth it anymore. I gave it 2 stars because when you actually get it right, the food is good. Just never know when that will be. The prices are too high for that kind of service.

So I have a big family and it's not easy to get reservations at a restaurant where we don't feel crowded into a back room. But this place exceeded expectations and provided quality food at an affordable price. We had plenty of space while still feeling like we were together and the lighting and ambiance were perfect. I loved the different flavors of the signature sauces and enjoyed every cut of meat we tried. Dessert was delectable, the Malbec rose fantastic and I left feeling satisfied. Wish I lived closer so I could come more often!

Stumbled upon this place after a river walk ,mid afternoon so wasn’t that busy but this got us a better service ,the bar manager couldn’t do enough for my family. We orderd the mussels as a starter which were excellent, for mains we ordered the steak,roast chicken and piella all of which we’re absolutely beautiful and perfect. We ordered a few cocktails again all of which were perfect . So yess we would definitely recommend this restaurant and will definitely be returning very soon..

Sabor has changed a little over the years, however one thing that hasn't changed is that you can have a GREAT time! As with any restaurant cuisine will be a little different from visit to visit, but this is truly one of our favorite local places! I have been to Sabor many times, and one of my favorite dishes is the quinoa salad, with chicken. So good! Their appetizers are also delicious, especially the queso and the plantain chips. Sangria, by the pitcher, leads to a great night with friends! Highly recommend.

Excellent food and great service! I went to eat here for my anniversary dinner for the first time and I was stunned with the service that I received as soon as I walked in the door. The server for our table was very helpful and gave the impression that he cared for my experience and was very knowledgeable about the menu. I was unsure of what to order because of the many outstanding choices the menu had to offer, but I was pleasantly surprised with the dinner I decided to order. I would recommend this to everyone who wants a great dinner in an amazing environment.

This is the third time I've eaten here and I find it to be a real Wichita delight. The food always has excellent presentation, delicious flavor combinations and an extensive menu.I particularly like that it's simple for me to see which foods are gluten free since I'm limited to those combinations and have to avoid chicken and white potatoes as well. There's is one of the better menus for people like myself.

My wife and I have been to Sabor several times since we live so close and the food has always been exceptional. last night was another step up in their service . We recently adopted a new dog and she is a little nervous with all the activity downtown. My wife called the restaurant and ask if we could bring her to the patio and very graciously accepted our request. When we arrived the owner was at the front door . i walked in and let them know we would be on the patio. He ask if we would like some water for our dog and sat us down at and as usual great service and amazing food.

We ate here on 4/30/18. Service was excellent...attentive, friendly, but not over-bearing. Food was fabulous, intriguingly flavored, memorable. I ordered my steak rare, and actually got it rare. My daughter had two tequila somethingorothers, we had steak dinners, shared a dessert and coffee, and the total came to $60 with tax. So...prices are great, food is great, next time I'm in Wichita, I'm definitely going back.

They do have a vegetarian section on their menu. The plantain chips are quite good. It can be very crowded on weekends, with slow service. Prices a bit steep, but that's to be expected considering the neighborhood.

We ordered from the grill; pork, chicken and churrasco. As side dishes were had the tostones, cheesy arepas and yellow rice. The only slightly disappointing dish was the yellow rice, it needs a little bit of work. Otherwise, the staff was friendly the food was good and served timely for a Saturday just after noon.

I’ve been to Sabor a few times and it consistently kicks apples every time! We mussel-ed our way onto the patio for ½ price sangrias recently and the best waitress in Wichita, Leah (BW²), waited on us like we were the only humans on the planet...She even listened to a few of my SOBF’s Haiku poems & laughed at my lame joke about a sale on paddles being a big oar deal. I’m definitely plantain-ing to go back again... P.S. SOBF stands for Significant Other Boyfriend not son of a bleep.

High class atmosphere with a middle class price. Don't let the fancy name and styling fool you, this is an everyday restaurant that's great for anyone in street clothes to visit. The food is great (I tried the fried grouper tacos) and the rice and beans were fantastic. Our waitress was very attentive, and the food was only delayed by a large party that was seated before us. Five stars from me, very happy with this visit.

Had very high expectations going based on the reviews. Ordered the Parilla plate for two. The steak was very slimy the pork was very dry. Chicken was good a bit dry and the sausage had the best flavor. The green chilie Mac and cheese had a great flavor but was very dry in spots. The Tostones were very good and had a lot of flavor. The signature sauces were pretty bland overall. The Sangria was decent but had a very strong wine alcohol taste and not much juice or flavor. Our server was very nice and knowledgeable about foods and drinks and was extremely helpful and had great service. Overall was a bit disappointing I had expected more flavor for Latin food but it seemed a bit Americanized.

This is the 3d time my girlfriend and I have ate at Sabor and we absolutely love it. Ryan, our server was so nice and helpful when we asked what his recommendation were for food on the menu and what shots to take. We both went for the steak medallions. Our food was cooked just like we asked, ( not too rare) and so tasty I can't even explain it! We also had the agave tequila shots that were so good we didn't even need a lime and salt. I would 100% recommend eating here if you have the chance.

We had a really great experience! We had the ceviche appetizer with the plantain chips and it was delicious. My bf had the churrasco (skirt steak) tacos which were so absolutely amazing. They came with a little side of hot sauce which I loved. I ordered the grouper tacos which were also very good and came with a mango salsa. Our servers name was Isaac and he was very accommodating and friendly. Awesome job Isaac. The only thing that I wish would have been better would be to double up on the corn tortillas bc they do fall apart. Unlike the other review we know how to use a fork to finish our yummy food with out complaint. But would definitely suggest to ask for the them to be doubled when you order. Thanks Sabor for the great experience.

The manager sat us in a specific spot so my husband and I could sit next to each other (as opposed to across). We chatted and laughed with him a bit. Josh was our server. Ask for him, he's wonderful. Great food, elegant modern atmosphere. Can get very busy/full during peak hours. Parking can be scarce when Old Town is busy, but park in the parking garage near the middle staircase, take it down, and Sabor is just two doors south of where that staircase lets you out at ground level.

I don't think there's anything that could possibly be said badly about sabor. Everything about this place is amazing. The food is delicious the decor is beautiful, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. My partner and I always choose sabor when we want a special date night. We sat at the bar last time and we had so much fun. The bartender, an older gentleman (his name is lost to me), was very funny and we had a great conversation with him and some of our fellow patrons. It's always a great time at sabor.

The food here is absolutely fantastic!! The service is always friendly and knowledgeable. It's worth what you pay however, I would recommend a reservation otherwise you might have to wait a little while. Only downside is I wish the restaurant and tables were a little bigger because it gets pretty crowded and everyone seems a little cramped together. Over all great place to eat and a must try!!
