We have been here a zillion times and I am never disappointed. Do try the fried green tomatoes- they were totally awesome! Well... have anything with tomatoes this time of year...you won’t be disappointed! also - the blueberry pie with honeycomb ice cream was simply divine!! They are great with parties of all shapes and sizes and we routinely bring the kids here. Enjoy!

Lise Strobel

Went to Rye last night for a celebration. The trout was perfectly prepared and their house salad was delicious. My husband loved the burger & their drink selection. We always love the atmosphere at Rye and our waitress made it an extra special evening - definitely ask for Angelina for your server!

Craig Walker

F#$%ing awesome! Never been there before. Met a friend had a great brunch. Nice place to eat.

Jessica K

One of my favorite brunch places. The service is top notch as well. There donuts are made to order and simply amazing (especially their apple Carmel)

Richard Bishop

Outstanding lunch, great service.

peter winter

Food was beautiful and delicious, and it arrived amazingly fast! one of the things that I was most impressed about is that they had a baby changing station in the men's bathroom! Thanks guys! I got the ranchero huevos and she got The ride breakfast and the cinnamon roll. That thing is ginormous, fluffy, buttery and not too sweet

Kyle Tingley

Top notch service and the food was great!

Robert Riviere

Great food. Great atmosphere. Loved their take on an Old Fashioned.

Allison

It’s so nice to have a pickup option for such a great restaurant. The goat cheese appetizer is amazing! I found the chicken and dumplings quite bland and nothing spectacular to say about the burger, either. Overall the food was decent and I would go again for the apps alone.

Kim DeCann

Consistent food and service. Now serving breakfast for lunch too. Always a good idea to save room for dessert, their pies are always awesome! Suppot local KC!

Robert Butler

Had a business dinner here. First time visiting. Menu has lots of selections from typical American fare to steak house quality selections. I'll be going back with my wife.

Mike Hibit

$$$$, but it was a great dining experience. S/O to our server, Aubrey S, for doing an awesome job! I'm new-ish to whiskeys, so I found the drink menu a bit intimidating. If you feel the same way, just pick a cocktail or ask your server for a recommendation. They also serve wines and beers, but come here for the whiskey selection. Entrees come with a soup/salad and a side. We ordered the filet mignon (her) and the ribeye (me) with Caesar salads. We chose mashed (whipped) potatoes, mac & cheese with bacon crumbles (!), and added a side of asparagus. It was a delicious meal, and we were filled, but we ordered a dessert anyway: a slice of Strawberry Rhubarb Pie. Yum! The strawberry's sweetness offsets the rhubarb's tart. I don't make enough $ to eat here in the regular

Rod Cameron

Excellent menu. Great service. Cool place to eat and visit.

Amber Zilla

Very good. What can I say... bottomless mimosas are a win.

Jennifer

I want to like Rye, but I never do. The servers always feel like they are judging you. The food is bland at best. Their cappuccino I believe is what battery acid might taste like. I will give them a thumbs up on the Chocolate Guinness Ice cream cake. That is lovely.

Zeke Burlbaw

My favorite restaurant in KC. Every cocktail is great and I've never had something to eat there that isn't amazing! It's the best! I recommend everyone go there. I go Everytime I come home and have probably been here a hundred times. It's the best!

Jeff Buford

Great service and really enjoyed the food, overall felt like large portion sizes, particularly the chicken sandwich!! But very good, definitely recommend.

Miguel Romero

Everything tasted great and service was top notch!

Alex Marban

Excellent food. The only complain if any is that is always busy.

Theresa Hubbard

Food and service were both great!

G L

Awesome food and drinks and service..... consistently!!!!!

Kurinji Sathasivam

There are no vegetarian dishes on the menu, but they made some very good veggie pasta and mac n' cheese.

Tony Trinh

Food was fantastic. Loved the chicken and mushroom linguine!

Daniale Sage

My fiance and I love this place. Everything from the cocktails, fried chicken, and banana cream pie. I love going when we can sit on the patio.

Alan Powell

I have had the pleasure of, on several occasions, of having dinner and lunch at this exceptional restaurant. The restaurant is divided into three areas: indoor dining, bar area and patio dining. All areas are attractively decorated and table conversation is easily accomplished with a minimum of surrounding noise. The menu has a wide variety of selections with the fried chicken being their most favorite dish. Service is outstanding! The food is well prepared and presented. An outstanding experience.

Les Davis

This place was different than I thought, but in the best way. I was intrigued by the shrimp and grits. That is most definitely American, but typically southern fare. I was not disappointed! Although I don't think my stomach could have handled it, I would have loved to keep chowing down on that. I also sampled the vegetarian platter and the veggies were fire! I think that was a special order, but they were absolutely accommodating. The meals of everyone in the group looked equally appetizing. The decor and ambiance were really nice. It was somewhere in the nexus between chic and casual and hipster. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive. Overall it was a great experience. For me, this is not an everyday restaurant, but I would totally recommend it for a nice evening with friends.

C Abernathy

Delicious meal. The smoked pulled pork sandwich was so full I had to eat some with a fork. Carey our waiter knew all the answers to our questions and checked on us frequently. My friend had the small beet salad that was still very large. Can't wait to go back again!

Sam Hazel

Great service and food

Peter Piscitello

Great food! Solid bourbon selection but significantly overpriced. Can get the same pours elsewhere for quite a bit less.

Bill Durant

Excellent in all ways

Michael Pursell

Good restaurant overall - great patio, good wine selection, appetizers are solid, main courses offer a nice variety of flavors and textures. Fried Chicken fell flat.

Rupal Gupta

We have been here a zillion times and I am never disappointed. Do try the fried green tomatoes- they were totally awesome! Well... have anything with tomatoes this time of year...you won’t be disappointed! also - the blueberry pie with honeycomb ice cream was simply divine!! brittany hicks

Recommended by my aunt. I've tried their fried chicken and it was fantastic! They have so many options for the dessert and I really like their lemon meringue pie.

Scott McDonald

The food was just above decent. The 'service' was terrible. The waitress had to be convinced to take our table, I overheard two people arguing about who was going to come talk to us. She only stopped by our table twice; she took our order, …

Craig Walker

F#$%ing awesome! Never been there before. Met a friend had a great brunch. Nice place to eat.

Jason Bigler

Excellent steak night menu on Monday. Check it out!

Jarrod Shelton

Food was amazing. Unique cocktails and the service is outstanding. Highly recommend.

spiritedredhead

We had out of town guests in and were looking for someplace to take them. We decided to give Rye a try—we had never been before. It was outstanding! Service was amazing. Cocktails were delicious! Best fried chicken in town. The prime rib was out of this world. Oh! And we had the goat cheese, fried green tomatoes, and seafood hush puppies for appetizers. The food was incredible. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

Lee Orrison

My favorite time to go to Rye is for lunch. The food quality is great. And yes, everyone talks about the pies. It's a must have. Rye takes the time to make sure they are providing a quality meal. The menu changes based on the season. There are some meals that are always on there, but there are always new selections. Did I mention the pie? The environment is nice, and the staff is helpful if you can't make a decision about your meal, or the pie. Reservations might be necessary on busy days. Doesn't hurt to call ahead.

Amanda Hamilton

Delicious food! The chicken and dumplings, shrimp and grits, and seared steak are scrumptious!!

Briana Purkapile

Great service, FANTASTIC drinks, Goat Cheese appetizer was incredible. Sunday special chicken was great as well. They have the best Loaded Mac N Cheese!!

H M

Skyler at Rye is the BEST! Fried chicken is the BEST! Couldn't ask for a better celebration dinner spot!!! Thanks!

cliff sharp

Food is fanrastic, drinks are amazing, and the bartenders are great!!

Matisse E Ventura Bruer

Amazingggg service. We were a huge corporate party and our server made us each feel like we were his only guests. He suggested drinks we may like based on our tastes and was extremely attentive. The drinks were absolutely amazing and everything was of the highest quality.

Cheryl Pratt

First time..and it was amazing. Can't wait to go back

Kacy Burt

You have to try the shrimp and grits. It is the best I've had. Just the right amount of spicy. Also get the donuts as an appetizer. They have a pastry chef that makes Fresh donuts and pastries everyday. Even the water is better than average. No kidding. It is all great farm fresh food. Give them a try.

Dave Kitchens

I enjoy Rye every time I visit, but this brunch was particularly exceptional. We started with the cinnamon roll (first come first served) which was basically dessert, but so worth it. Make sure you plan ahead so you can have one if you have a sweet tooth I had the Biscuits and Gravy and subbed the Hashbrown for the egg. The hashbrown was crispy and went great with the gravy. The biscuits were fluffy, but still dense, but in a good way. My friend had the french toast, which looked great and she thoroughly enjoyed. Service was excellent as always.

Nick Wingerter

Sides were adequate nothing special and needed salt. Desserts was good. Service was good. One star for each. Overpriced and grossly under seasoned. The fried chicken was over hyped the gravy was one of the worst things I've ever tried. Overall the place had a good vibe. For being a James Beard semi finalist I felt like it would be worth the money after our meal I didn't feel that it was worth it.

Bruce Reid

Fantastic for lunch or dinner. Great patio if the EOI (Eat Outside Index) is good. The food, desserts, and drinks are wonderful. It can be a little dark inside for dinner but that's okay. Servers have always been very good and very informative. It's been on my rotation for years.

Kyle Starr

Omg, the absolute best chicken I've ever had. Pork ribs that fall off the bone, and bacon mac and cheese better than anywhere in my opinion. Very pleased.

scar zaq

There for "steak night". Excellent food, serving sizes very generous. Have been to this restaurant several times and have never been disappointed.

James Peckham

I feel like whiskey was involved but I don't remember.

Tudor Home and Garden

The mimosas are real, food is real, very good

Christine John

Very Good Food, Cozy Atmosphere, Good Service!

Rachel Gonzales

Our server, Samantha, was super knowledgeable and friendly! Fun drinks and great food. We had an excellent time!

Joel Whitaker

Great comfort food, with lots of added flavor.

The Sons of Thunder

Awesome drink and food menu! Great service and atmosphere!

Tonika White

I love this place. The waiter was super nice and fast. The food is phenomenal and I will be going back so soon. I had the grits and shrimp. My friend had a chicken sandwich. And my other friend had the burnt ins sandwich. We were all extremely satisfied. Visit during lunch. The prices are slightly lower then dinner and there weren’t busy.

David Deckert

A nice out of the way great place for lunch. I had the chance to celebrate a birthday with lunch for my brother-in-law this afternoon. It was busy but not too crowded and not too noisy. The service was very good and we enjoyed the salmon and chicken salad. If you are looking for an upscale lunch this is a great place to try.

Edwin Reece

Make sure you have reservations for this place. In the past we tried to go and were told they had no tables without reservations. This time friends suggested that we go. The waiter informed us who are the chefs and the awards that they had won. But I was not impressed with the food. The menu was expensive. The cheapest item were three pieces of fried chicken. I could name you multiple places in KC that have much better Fried Chicken. the mac and cheese with bacon side was amazing. The Caesar salad was diced leaf lettuce and the Caesar dressing was not great. My wife had the salad wedge and it looks good, but I'm not sure how you can mess that up. Most of the dishes were around $30 a piece. I felt like I was in a restaurant with people who had a lot of disposable income.

VERONIQUE HODGES

Great service and great food. Had the trout

Barry Masculine

The service was good and the restaurant had a nice atmosphere, but the food was just fine. For the price being paid, my wife and I have had better brunches at a few other places. I would say that the best part of our meal was the cinnamon roll, so if you do find yourself in the area, make sure to try one of those! They're huge and actually fairly good. Overall however, the main course is the most important part of the experience for us and I don't think that we'll be back

Tracy K Searles

Food and service excellent!

Veronica L. Cassaday

Love the atmosphere, the staff and good food.

Rebecca Tarr

The drinks are really good, the food is delish.

Neils Sorensen

great bartenders. great selection of beer and liquor.

Andy Shick

Great food and atmosphere.

Gina King

Great atmosphere and service on a lovely patio over looking a nice pond with a blue heron having his fish lunch

Ryan Dinvaut

They're in my Top 5 restaurants. Great food, ambiance and cocktails. I definitely recommend.

Dawna Daigneault

The pie is excellent. Ask about their honeycomb ice cream too.

Robert Couture

Food was very good. A bit loud in volume. $$$ It was very enjoyable.

Nicole Sanders

Best drinks and amazing brunch menu!! Love the staff, always a great time!

Robert Kochen

This is a very nice restaurant in what appears to be an upscale residential area. The service and food was excellent.

Shawn Sourk

Always a scrumptious meal and excellent service.

Ryan Asbury

Been here 5 times and never been disappointed. Fried chicken is amazing and desserts every more so.

Donnie Spears

The shrimp and grits were better than what I had in New Orleans.

Michelle Crews

I can't get enough if this place! I enjoy their brunch menu, their farm to table freshness.

LE H

Worst food I have ever eaten (and I eat everywhere). I live here [MF] so it’s kind of disappointing that we can check this off our places not to get take out from. Our server was gone the whole time, 15 min intervals for my husband to get someone’s attention for a drink. All of the food was so bad [burnt or extremely bland] I can’t even list all the things that were wrong as well as never getting the things we had asked for (had to ask a different server for it). Worst dining experience ever. The manager had even apologized and said the staff was “off” tonight. Will not eat here again and from the food I can’t believe anyone else does.

Mary Verhulst

Ordered a chicken dinner for 6 (takeout). Chicken was over-cooked, dry and tough. I have ordered this meal before and never had this experience. I hope whoever is working their fryer gets the message as that was a lot of money and ruined my mom’s 92nd birthday dinner. Mashed potatoes and lemon pie was good.

Niklas Johnsson

We had brunch here and loved it. It is a very unique experience compared to most chain brunch restaurants. The portion sizes are huge and the service was top notch.

Forrest

The food is pretty good, they have a good variety on the menu. Staff is friendly & service is good. Only complaint is that the acoustics in this place are terrible. At dinner time when the restaurant is full it is extremely noisy. Our table of 4 dinner conversation consisted of us shouting to each other in order to be heard. It was almost bar-like.

Ava Yerkes

LOVE this place!! Went for my moms birthday and couldn’t of had better food. Plus... no matter how full you are, you HAVE to get their pie. It’s the best pie we have ever had (we got the blueberry with honeycomb ice cream!)

Ashley Davis

Literally my favorite restaurant in KC. You can’t beat the cozy atmosphere here. This was my favorite place during my whole pregnancy and that hasn’t changed. I was able to fit my big baby bump in the booth and still be so comfortable, and we come in with our now one year old and I have plenty of space and feel zero judgement to nurse him while I enjoy my meal. The chicken and dumplings is my ultra fave, number one comfort food in the entire world. I love trying new menu items, which are updated often for the season. Monday night steak special is the best! Coffee and Cigarettes cocktail is what dreams are made of. The house salad makes me do the happy dance. Whipped goat cheese is bomb. Get their cookbook. I also love that they incorporate so many local ingredients!

Paul B

Best pie I've ever had

Sadie Noyes

Just remember they don’t service breakfast on the weekdays!!

James O'Neil

Great food, great atmosphere.

Nate Davis

Incredible food at very decent prices.

Judy Zhang

Love the food here, totally worth the price!

Chaitanya Chavan

Quite famous for steak night! Pretty good ambiance! Overall a great experience!

Bobbie Martin

One of the few patios with a bit of a view of the water. That's what I go for. Food is good and a bit pricey. Drinks the same. Service always friendly and professional

Jawad Akhtar

This is the first time I had been to Rye and it was an excellent experience. Tucked in the back of Mission Farms, they had a good collection of sandwiches and options if you are looking for low carb alternatives. It is now on my list of places to visit for lunch. I can't wait to try some additional menu items.

Chris Maldeney

Rye is one of my favorite restaurants in KC. They have an amazing drink selection, and the service is always great. Will be back!

Sri charan

Fried chicken and pulled pork sandwich are the best . must try

Ava Yerkes

LOVE this place!! Went for my moms birthday and couldn’t of had better food. Plus... no matter how full you are, you HAVE to get their pie. It’s the best pie we have ever had (we got the blueberry with honeycomb ice cream!)

Barbi Wood

Our table ordered a wedge salad and pulled pork sandwich, Carolina style. I can't speak to the wedge but the sandwich was decent. Strangely my favorite part was the bun. That thing was delicious just by itself! Liked the bbq sauce. It's similar to KC Masterpiece all though not as sweet. I mixed some of their hot sauce in it and that was pretty good. Will probably try the shrimp and grits if I return.

Rob Young

Dinner was ok but not great @ $185 for 3-meals + 2-apps. Many other options in the area with much better value.

Wade Wasinger

Our favorite spot in Kansas City for brunch! Excellent fried chicken, plus tasty variety of breakfast dishes, steaks and sandwiches for lunch and dinner. The pies and cinnamon rolls are phenomenal as well

Zachary Richardson

First time eating here. The service and the Food AMAZING! I would recommend the place to friends and family!

NANCY TRACY

Excellent food. Really enjoyed sitting at the bar watching the chef's cook. The food was delicious. Hanger Steak dish cannot go wrong with that. The pan seared brussel sprouts (not a fan of brussel sprouts) tried and loved it. Definitely a new way for me to eat & enjoy brussel sprouts. Top it off with lemon meringue pie, very savory. Crust was lite and buttery not overly sweet. Cannot wait to have my next meal at Rye's again.

Lyle Semchyshyn

Food was unbelievable and the waitress was very attentive. I had a great evening with the group I was with.

John Rau

Went to a private party for the owners parents 50th wedding anniversary. Wonderful venue. Top rate food!

Ian Arnold

Great! A little pricey, but they back it up with tons of value!

B Lorenzo

Food was really good.

Kelly S

Always awesome.

Shelby Lawhorn

Wish I could give 4.5 stars because the food is amazing, the service is amazing, it’s all amazing. It’s just a little too dark inside the restaurant and I’d love the opportunity to really see all the wonderful food in its full glory! Seasonal specials and dessert are a MUST.

Alexis

Love the atmosphere and excellent service. Food was great except the spicy chicken sandwich is NOT spicy, it's more on the sweet side. Will be back to try more entree's.

Ron Goodwin

Always great food and Amazing Service

Chris Collier

Food is amazing. Got to get there early though because some of the daily made stuff can run out fast.

Adam Cox

Everything is quality, especially the coconut cream pie

Lucy Ladley

Everyone in my family had an incredible lunch! The service was great!

Mary Walker

This was our first time dining at Rye. It's was excellent and we will differently go back!

Ben Jackson

Rye is all round fantastic. It’s an excellent place for craft mixed drinks, esp bourbon based ones, and has excellent food. The waitress provided some of the best service I’ve had for awhile - again, the experience was all around fantastic. It is a little pricier but if you’re looking for a nicer dinner, look no further.

Taylor M.

Perfect place for a date night! I have also been here with my friends. Great food for the price. Love the atmosphere and their dinner menu. Always so delicious!

Ryan Couture

The food is good but not good enough to justify the prices. Waited 45 minutes for food after ordering. Service was good.

Arya Edalati

The food is good and unlike Room 39 there is almost no discernible difference between locations, so there is no need to make two reviews; however, service at both locations is great which in my opinion elevates what should be a 4-star review to a 5-star review.

B Rich

Was enjoyed had brussel sprouts deviled eggs with a side of whiskey and cornbread.

Chrystal Tatum

Great fried chicken and that wedge salad. Yummmmmm.

Rebecca Kline

Great food selection for Restaurant Week. Excellent service.

Alejandro Taylor

Today I had the worse dining experience ever. Reservation made a week ago and got the worse table in the place by the kitchen, the wait staff was rude, waited 45 minutes for the food and arrived cold and not a single apology from anyone at the restaurant. Hard when you pay 200 dollars for a meal for 3

Gary Webster

I tingle with excitement!

Diana Weber

Stopped in for dessert because we'd heard they had great pies. We heard right - they were amazing! Great service, nice atmosphere, and delicious pies - what more could you ask for?

Heather Powell

Atmosphere, service, variety, and GREAT food this restaurant is top tier! Privately owned with a very personal, clean, comfortable, organic vibe. My husband had the hanger steak with real reduction sauce and I had chicken and dumplings- both phenomenal dishes. Our server, Clark, was punctual, kind, knowledgeable and friendly. Wonderful experience. Will definitely be back!

Jonno Hand

Just excellent. I describe it as gourmet comfort food, which I may have stolen from somewhere... Highly suggest the burnt end appetizer AND goat cheese appetizer. Excellent service.

Andrew McCarl

I will definitely return to Rye! We went mi-day, so the menu was a little limited, but the experience was great. Service was outstanding, the appetizer, salad, and meal were all terrific, and the pie... oh, heavens. I saw a review saying Rye had the best lemon meringue in the city. I don't know, but it was the best I've had ever. Looking forward to a return trip.

Jeanette Burlbaw

Wonderful cinnamon rolls, lovely menu, comfortable pretty environment, great staff

cmateski

Love the menu and food. Can get pricy but well worth it. Did I mention they have a pastry chef.

Julie Weible

Great food and even better customer service. Autumn Webb - you found us the perfect table after being seated in a not so desireable area and you saved our date night! You were so accommodating, funny and sweet and topping our night with pie was the best! We will be back!

Jes Caylor

I had the best chicken sandwich of my life. I had it with the platonic ideal of french fries and they have Phantasmagoria on tap. The patio is plush and perfect, and it's friendly to well behaved dogs.

Diana Weber

Stopped in for dessert because we'd heard they had great pies. We heard right - they were amazing! Great service, nice atmosphere, and delicious pies - what more could you ask for?

Becky Mitchell

Outstanding deliciousness! Best dining experience we've had in KC! Great gazpacho, superb kale salad, fab desserts!

Nick Reddell

I would suggest not having any sort of private event here. Was told my event would be handled one way and wasn’t . After the fact, what I was told in person at the event was incorrect. I sent an email to the vent coordinator Amy as a follow up that went unanswered... she then accused me of badgering her when I went in person to try to talk to the manager. I had sent a total of 2 email and never was negative to her in either one. The night of our event was a total disaster. The staff that was working that night did do their best to help out that night as a positive.

Todd Wyss

I wanted to like it, but my spicy chicken sandwich was not spicy or a sandwich. There was no heat, asked for extra sauce, never received it. The breading fell off and the chicken slid off the bun. Had to cut it into pieces with a fork and knife. My friend had a cheeseburger, and another friend said it was one of the best shrimp and grits he has had. Server recommend this sandwich so maybe I just had a bad one.

Tal Eretz-Kdocha

Both food and drinks were great. Service was outstanding. Definitely recommended!

Michael Simione

Amazing food. Great Manhattan.

John Girgis

Our waiter was arrogant and distant. Burger was overcooked and under seasoned. Definitely not worth it.

Stacey H

Great food & great service. 1st time there and won't be my last.

Matthew Kincaid

Excellent restaurant in Mission Farms. Impressive menu. Fun location with scenic patio area best used in the spring and fall. Lots of healthy options. Private rooms in back that can be used for events. Had nothing but great experiences here, consistently. Loyal, happy customer here.

Andrei Akentjew

We sat outside which was the best decision. The view and the environment makes it a must if the day is good enough. I had the chicken hamburger, extremely big, and the spiciness was perfect. Very good service also!

Aron Zeller

I am so disappointed with our visit to Rye Leawood. I really expected better based on my friends recommendations. I think we experienced an off night at this restaurant. However, I think the owners and management would agree with me; off nights should not happen, even on Mondays. My chief complaints: 1. Chicken was dry/over cooked. 2. Our server was uninterested, inattentive, and distant. I don’t think these pictures do justice to how dry this bird was, the dark meat was awful as well, but moderately better, we ate the dark meat there, only had the white meat left to take pics at home. Our toast with goat cheese was also burnt to a crisp (to be fair 90% of the bread was toasted perfectly, however half of one whole piece was completely charred).

Michael Coddington

Stellar as always. Destination KC dining at it's finest. Fried bird is amazing, hangar steak is incredible, salmon and wild rice is spot on. And pie!!! And bourbon!!!!

Darrell Randolph

It's in a very rich looking area. Clear view into the front line and expo working hard. The feel is great, if you like that sort of thing. I ordered shrimp and grits. Which is a southern classic. It came swimming in a sauce(I was prepared for it. As it was stated on the description) the dish was good. The pulled pork was very dry. Not sure if it was on purpose but overall solid dish. The flank steak was amazing. Did not need a sauce for it. Chicken dumplings was okay but our server was great. Very on top of her section and I enjoyed my time. 4 Stars if I had good pulled pork. 3 Stars will have to do. Amazing service though!

Josh Johnson

Great food and experience. Our server was very knowledgeable and had great recommendations. The fried chicken was outstanding. The shrimp and grits had awesome flavors but be warned it is a rougher cut grit so its larger pieces which personally I am not a fan of. Like I said the flavor was unreal. The pie was...well just look at the pic it was the best banana cream pie I have ever ate, sorry Granny. I would recommend Rye to all. We will definitely be back to try some of the other menu items that stood out.

Jack Bailey

AMAZING FOOD, go for lunch to avoid the evening crowds. Everything we have eaten there is excellent, be sure you save room for their excellent home made pies!

Dominique Renee

Terrible and super disappointed Great location but we went there for what was on their website— lamb and prime rib They had neither thy they still offered on their menu So we got pork chops and burgers Burgers were unseasoned and dry, buns were dry and lettuce was wilted— they also offered no tomatoes when asked. Said they didn’t have them?? Lol Pork was over cooked Kids ribs tasted like they used fake smoke flavor and didn’t actually “smoke” them Server was nonchalant to any issues This place is off our cuisine list for good.

Laura Hale

Delicious food, wonderful atmosphere, great times.

Alex VerHeul

Delicious food and the service is typically good as well.

Art Kesterson

Water down drinks food sucked bad service

Saskia Marijke Niehorster-Cook

We were told that Rye was part of the 4:35 group which on Tuesdays offers a menu of under five dollars for lunch. However our waiter knew nothing about it. The pictures on their website show eggs Benedict but when we inquired about them we were told only in the weekend. All the things on the menu seemed unappealing and expensive for what they were. We almost left but in the end we decided to order desserts. My chocolate pecan pie was tasty. I enjoyed it quite well, although the smeared ganache on the side was not so attractive. My friend ordered lemon meringue pie. The lemon custard was good but the smell of the beaten eggs for the meringue was strong and off-putting. Perhaps we came on the wrong day but I don't feel the need to give it a second try.

Jolisa Doakes

Came in for Restaurant week. I couldn't order the lunch special togo so I just ordered the 2 piece fried chicken with mashed potatoes, gravy and greens. Side note: they forgot my greens in my order and I didn't notice until I got back to work which was a little disappointing. The chicken was fried and seasoned PERFECTLY, but the actual meat of the chicken did not have much flavor. Potatoes and gravy tasted good. I will be back to try and review and some other things on their menu that sounded good. Edit: I came back and tried the Hangar steak with chimichurri, and it was delicious! I ordered it Medium and it was slightly over but the tenderness and perfect seasoning did more than make up for that. I will definitely be back for that. Salad was over dressed but good taste. Service was quick and nice.

Christina Brewer

Rye has my favorite brunch in KC

Toby Hendrix

Great food, and an even better selection at the bar. The bartenders are all great. Highly recommend their brunch on the weekend as well.

Paul Rosenboom

Great space, locally owned, wonderful food, awesome beer & liquor selection. Recommended. Will go again.

Kristine Dodd

Visiting from out of town and met local friends there. Great variety of beverages. Delicious food. Great atmosphere. Will definitely be back someday!

Caleb Sommerville

I am constantly impressed by the sheer quality of Rye (both locations). Not only is it a homey and cozy place to chill and eat (albeit a bit noisy), Rye also features fantastic service, absolutely delicious drinks (get the Old Old Fashioned), and most of all: the food. Oh man, the elevated comfort food. First of all, get the whipped goat cheese. Just...get it. Then, choose from a wide selection of anything from seafood (fresh!) to steaks (unique, pricy, and delicious!) to burgers, to pasta to duck (which I had during my last visit). Everything on our table was fresh, tasty, unique (I didn't expect duck to pair so well with gnocchi), and just lovely. After you've devoured your amazing meal, do not leave without getting pie. We had the lemon meringue, but something tells me it's all good.

Absolutely fantastic food and ambiance. Seated very quickly and the service offered was great. A wide selection across the board and some really delicious comfort style food. The Sunday smoked chicken was amazing and the asparagus was some of the best I’ve ever had. Would definitely go again.

I really enjoy the steak and eggs for brunch.

Took my mom there for drinks and desert. She loved it! Therefore I loved it!

The height of suburban mediocrity. The people were pleasant but the food was average tasting and came out room temperature. Too bad, the Plaza location lunch we had once before was better.

It was my first time at Rye. I went for the Sunday brunch, the food was excellent. The service was top notch. I ordered the eggs with the meat, very fresh and delicious. Next time I will go for a cocktail great vibrant atmosphere.

This place makes the best chicken and dumplings that I have ever had. I think they are known for other things, but I don't think I could ever order anything else! The chicken and dumplings are just too good.

Great food, service, and atmosphere. It is a little expensive, but not overpriced.

Jonno Hand

Just excellent. I describe it as gourmet comfort food, which I may have stolen from somewhere... Highly suggest the burnt end appetizer AND goat cheese appetizer. Excellent service.

Awesome experience and food. Good comfort food, American style that doesn't try to outsmart some traditional dishes. Had the fried chicken which included some of the best gravy I've ever had in my entire life. Sides were excellent and …
