Staff is friendly. Chips are amazing. Caso is really good!! The steak is amazing. Tortilla is good. The decorations are really nice. My lemonade kind of tastes like water though.. It’s a bit of a wait but not to much.

Friendly service, .....unfortunately terrible food. My dish was served on a broken cast iron plate. Juices from my food were soaking through it and undoubtedly transfering bacteria into my meal from the un clean wooden board the plate was sitting on. My sons beef quesadilla had some kind of chicken or salmon mixed in with it so he didn't need it thinking that it was raw meat when we pointed this out to the wait staff, they said oh that's just some chicken in there wasn't offer replacement item I didn't order it chicken and steak quesadilla, I ordered him a beef quesadilla. Either its something in the water or all the reviews for this restaurant are all generated by staff of this company there's no way they are true, this was undoubtedly absolutely the worst food ever we thought let's give this other little small place to try since we live close I don't know how their doors are still open. Aprons on the wait staff look like they hadn't been cleaned in years I could go on and on it's just sad. You shouldn't have to spend $50 to find out their food is un edible, then they do not prepare the order correct and do not offer to remove their mistake from your ticket or replace the item with the correctly made item. I posted a picture of what you get when you order fajitas. The most iconic Mexican meal, looked like it was covered in Alfredo sauce, I asked what it was and was told that the chicken will dry out before the end of the day if we don't cover it with a garlic butter sauce. Absolutely no seasoning with my order just a bunch of prepackaged chicken strips sitting on top of raw onions covered in what I can figure to be a buttery Alfredo sauce.

Amazing authentic Mexican food. The queso spinach dip with home made chips was out of this world. I could have just eaten that as my dinner . The service was great. I had the chicken enchiladas. It had real chicken breasts with chunks of chicken, not the shredded kind. Definitely will be back.

You don't need reservations but you might have a short wait . I've never had bad service, bad food or bad margaritas. Everyone does their best to make your visit enjoyable. Their food is consistently yummy as are their margaritas.

Stopped in from a weekend get away. I had the carnita plate, very good and filling. We also had the Chile Rellenos and beef taco, pleasantly surprised that the taco was on a fresh tortilla and the Rellenos was super cheesy and had a great flavor. Definitely will go back.

A Mexican restaurant That's A Cut Above the Rest. Located in an out-of-the-way location in Basehor Kansas on the backside of a strip mall it is worth the hunt. They have a nicely and widely detailed menu with dishes that are delicately prepared and a little bit out of the ordinary. They're also just a couple of blocks away from the hollyfield winery.

I moved to Basehor from Overland Park and was worried I wouldn't find a good Mexican restaurant, but luckily I found a great one in Rodeo. Margs were great and at a great price. Meal was delicious, super flavorful, and big enough for leftovers. 10/10 will go back.

Serving size is large. I like large servings. Fills me up. Taste is good but not amazing but definitely fills me up. The cost doesn't require a full wallet which is good since the amount of food does fill you up. Overall, it is quite filling.

Went here for Father’s Day. It was a little busy but nothing crazy. The food was really good after waiting an hour to get it. My main complaint is the service. After ordering our drinks the waitress came back with them to the table and she spilled my two year old daughters drink right in front of her on the table. The lid popped off because the cup was a paper cup that literally looked like someone had chewed on it. As my daughter immediately started playing in the water she left the mess and continued to pass out the remaining 7 drinks. There were no napkins at the table so after a few minutes she came back to the table with a new water for my daughter and napkins. She handed me the napkins and walked away. I am not above cleaning up my own mess anywhere but I have never in my life had a waitress spill a drink and then make me clean it up. She came back about 20 minutes later to take our order but we had no menus so then she had to go get those and we had our order taken about 5 minutes later. We had to ask for more salsa and never received it. So we had to ask again and then another girl brought some. We all had to ask for refills on our drinks a few times. The waitress kept disappearing so we would have to ask other people for things because she was just no where to be seen for the majority of our hour and forty five minute visit. All of our food came out at different times as well. We remained very patient and very nice our entire visit and reflected our dissatisfaction on our tip giving her around 10%. As great as the food was I will not be returning.

The food portions were big for the money. It's clean. The staff was very friendly & attentive. I had the Pollo Rodeo, it was delicious. The down side - my rice was oily. My daughter ordered the Kids Plate - crunchy taco w/double rice (subbed for beans), she loved her rice (not oily). Hubby got the chicken brouhcette he liked it, no complaints.

A Mexican gem in Basehor Ks! Wow what a find! Deep fried tacos, bacon wrapped chicken Brochette most excellent. The home made tortillas almost stole the show. Let's talk service. 4 different servers stopped by to fill out drinks, even the bus boy was coming by to talk with us. Must come back to try more dishes

Rodeo is one of our go-to places for lunch with friends or birthday dinners! The food is delicious, and we haven't been disappointed with anything we've tried yet! Some of our favorites are the stuffed avocados and fajitas. The portions are quite large, and we often have enough for leftovers. The salsa and guacamole dip served when you are seated is delicious and a nice touch. Rodeo has friendly staff, great food, and a fun atmosphere with hometown feel.

This place is great. The food was awesome, the only problem was what to order, it all looked great. I ordered a combination platter and it was amazing way more food than I could eat, and at less than 15 dollars with a drink the price was right also.

We go to Rodeo quite often. We have always had great service and the food is always delicious. They have a creamy avocado salsa that is the best thing around, and their homemade tortillas are like dessert. Seriously. My favorite is the fajitas romero. I have heard from others that the food is very authentic. As I am not Mexican, I do not know that for sure. Whatever it is, it is delicious!

It's a small restaurant that must be saving money by keeping the room hot and turning lights off on the customers while they are in the bathroom. Plus to of my friends had to wait an incredibly long time to receive their food. Plus side our waiter was nice but not all the staff were concerned with the customers needs.

We went here after a recommendation from a friend, the first couple times we went the food was excellent. We were happy we finally found a good Mexican restaurant. About the last 2-3 times we tried it, the food was extremely greasy, I mean the burritos and enchiladas were sitting in a pool of grease. After sending the food back a couple times and even trying a different item from the menu we were not impressed at all. The fajitas had almost no peppers or onions and the meat wasn't very good at all. The staff is great but the quality has gone done a lot from the first few times which is disappointing. Will not be back unless they step it up and make decent food again.
