Had dinner on a Sunday night. The place was deserted but the food was very good.

Very nice restaurant featuring "American" standards.

Came here for happy hour on a weekday. They have a sit down section and a bar section, apparently happy hour is only served in the bar section. The happy hour menu has a decent variety of staple items. We got the onion rings, fries, burger, pork belly, and salmon rilette. Each item was pretty tasty. The portions are decent for the happy hour prices. GOOD * Pork belly - The skin has been baked so that it's quite crunchy, but the inside is still juicy, and it's covered with a sweet sauce that accents the pork well. MEH * Fried Chicken - Ordered their fried chicken. It's a decently sized, has a nice crunchy breading, and juicy succulent meat, but it has no flavor besides the inherent chicken flavor.

Staff was excellent, and the food was very good. Only had lunch so can't vouch for the dinner but based on lunch I'm sure it's equally as good.

I didn't care for the pork chop

Surprisingly good meal for a hotel restaurant. The Chef's signature Fried Chicken was slightly over cooked, but the ambiance is exceptional. Perfect for place for a romantic date or night out!

I think my experience tonight deserves 3.5 stars, and I'm throwing in the extra halfie after watching my date desperately scoop every last morsel of the dreamy chocolate soufflé out of the ramekin. And this boy does not chase food. Providence New American Kitchen

Great food, but they were not aware that there were 3 conventions in town and they only had 1 server for the entire restaurant (who was fantastic). They are 2 blocks from the convention center. Not sure where the break in communication happened. Beautiful restaurant.

The valet was standing in the cold instead of sitting inside and he returned my car very quickly. The parking is free, however, if you in up in a lot which charges you went too far. The building is a very well preserved 1920's Hilton hotel. The restaurant is old school elegance with incredible detail. This was the quietist place I have ever been which made it easy to talk. The distinguished waiter was always there when we needed him. He had a great personality which made my wife and I laugh. The Ribeye steak literally fell off the bone and melted in my mouth. It was the best steak I have ever enjoyed. My wife had the Salmon which she has all the time; she stated that it was incredible. My son had the fish and chips which were golden brown crust with no left over old oil on it, the white fish was unbelievable, I ate some and I will come back and order it. I recommend this restaurant to anybody that wants to enjoy the greatest food they ever will eat.

We had a group of 12 eat lunch here and were the only ones there, which ended up being surprising: the food was good, reasonably priced, and presented well. Our waiter was friendly and attentive.

Michael Pfister

My wife and I didn't care too much for this place. We felt the service was a little slow and not very friendly. The prices were high and the food was mediocre.

Richard Dugan-Starr

Had a delicious meal with friends during restaurant week. We collectively had wine, martinis, flank steak, salmon, chocolate cake, and pavlova. We loved all of our food and had a great time.

Excellent service, good food. Had a great evening due to the waiter.

While the service was excellent, the food not so. The charcuterie platter had 2 small pieces of cheese, the duck ravioli tasted as if it had been cooked, frozen, and reheated. The pasta wasn't even Al dente. I had the wedge salad which met normal salad standards.

We went to Providence before heading to watch Hamilton in KC, MO. The portions were small and the price was high. The service was slow and there were only 6 tables of guests. We ordered Happy Hour drink specials after looking at a drinks menu they gave us when we sat down. However, when the bill came, they told us that Happy Hour specials were only for the bar area. Have no clue why we were not informed before or why they gave us the menu in the first place? We will not be returning. I feel the only reason this restaurant is still in business at the Power & Light district is because it is attached to a hotel. For the price and type of food, go to Yard House instead.

Keesha Blamble

Every thing we had was amazing! Our waiter was attentive and personable (really funny) and I was never without tea (that's an important thing in my world). I'd recommend it any day!

My family and I visited before a concert because it was one of the only places in the area accepting reservations. I was unimpressed with the atmosphere - bright lights, seemingly drab decor, and a lot of tan colors. It felt like we were in a knockoff Longhorn Steakhouse. When we arrived, there were very few people in the restaurant, and our service was still slow. The food was good, but definitely overpriced for the portions. I would probably not return, but it would do in a pinch.

Heather Hoffmeister

Less than impressed. Poor ambience, place was lit up like an interrogation room, uneducated server with poor service, although she was endearing you could tell she had close to zero training and menu knowledge. Food was average, I had the trout which was actually delicious but my poor husband ordered a ribeye that was actually a strip steak (which they don't have on the menu). But the cherry on top was being charged $100 more than our actual bill.

The service was great but the entrees could have been better. The pork belly appetizer was really tasty. For the price of dinner I expected a better meal. I had the meatloaf which was recommended by the waitress. It was a little dry and only had mild flavor.

James Binion

The shrimp and grits were very disappointing. It had too much liquid in it. The catfish was not corn meal coated as described on the menu. The service was good. The server was friendly and attentive. The host was very friendly too.

Atmosphere is super cute! Drinks are not bad. Service is terrible, very slow. Food, well if you like your food bland, you just might like it. Very disappointed in the food.

Angela Dugan-Starr

Food and service were excellent. Had a reservation for restaurant week, however no one was there when arrived to check us in. Also happy hour specials are not included as part of the restaurant-they are only for the drum room. But the food was AMAZING!

GREAT!!! In Kc for a few days and had dinner last night at the resturant. First of all if you want a first class steak and out of this world glazed pork belly(YES I SAID PORK BELLY) then stop in. Our server Tony was awesome and knew everything about the menu and as well as bit of history on the hotel itself. BOTTOM LINE head in, grab a table, get Tony as your server and sit back and relax.

Michelle Ma

Kind of a fancy joint, the kind of place where you can get duck confit ravioli (which is what I got). The portion sizes can vary from ridiculous (my friend's fried catfish possibly came with the entire catfish) to still have room for dessert (I got a nice handful of ravioli), so maybe you wanna ask about that before you order.

Won't be back. Service was lacking. Food was mediocre. It was a typical hotel restaurant in the middle of a city with hundreds of better options.

A-Reading Lady

Friendly service and great food on a Saturday night with a decent crowd.

Tara Green

We had high hopes for Christmas Dinner, this being in the historic Hotel President. When we arrived, the decor was oddly a farm-style and not fitting of the hotel whatsoever. We ordered the 3-course Christmas dinner special of ribeye roast. The food was unremarkably bland and unexciting. Very little flavor with the exception of dessert. The waitress had zero personality, made the entire visit extremely awkward, and although the place was practically empty, insisted on rushing us through the meal, interrupting our meal to take the dessert order half-way through dinner. We expected so much more from the hotel and honestly, it DESERVES better than this restaurant. There are so many much better options nearby. This one won't last like this.
