The very very strong smell of incense made me unable to enjoy this place. I wonder if they are trying to cover up some bad odor. Server was good. Hair smelled like incense when we left. You should smell good food not whatever that awful scent was.

My brother was bragging about this place for quite a while so I went to this place with my family for lunch. We tried their regular menu. (Restaurant is divided in to two, regular menu at the front side and dim sum at the backside) the hostess was nice and seated us. I assume it was the owner who took our drinks. All was going well until we got our egg rolls for appetizer. I asked the owner to take it back because it had an unpleasant smell and it wasnt crispy. The outer part was warm and cold in the inside so i knew they just heated it up using chef mike (microwave). Anyway, she told me that it was a different kind of egg rolls because it has a thicker wrapper and shouldnt be crispy. I told her that i cook egg rolls myself ( I AM FILIPINO) all the time and i know what egg rolls should look like. She told me that if i come back to their restaurant that i should not order eggrolls again. The rest of our order came and wasnt able to enjoy because of the previous incident. Food was so-so. Nothing special. The dimsum may be a better choice because it was full pack when we came there. But i wont be back to this place again.

Actually a fairly large place. Service, wait time, and food were all good / par for the course. I can't say this place really stands out a ton but I certainly wouldn't say no to going. (Note: they were burning incense when I was there. I can't say how often they do it, but apparently it's on the table - if that's something you like or dislike)

We have been dining here for many years and we consider this our favorite Chinese restaurant . This is a family owned and operated place and you can tell they put their whole heart into the business. Absolutely amazing food. Weekends they offer dim sum and they are always busy when this is on the menu.

Not a great many selections but the food was awesome, light and tasty. The cart servers were courteous and speedy. The waiting staff was friendly. Sadly, the space is not movement friendly, making it super crowded and claustrophobic. Our group of 6 was squeezed into a narrow booth, and our eating experience felt like being in a can of sardines. We may not go back unless they find a smarter, more customer friendly hostess...

When the table behind you says "tastes like home" you know you won't be disappointed. This is what you think of when someone says Chinese cuisine. You will be presented with their 4 page menu - which is Americanized - along with a separate Traditional menu. Take time to consider ordering from the Traditional menu before you just order the marvelous General Tso's Chicken or Triple Delight. This was my grandpa's favorite place for a reason and he's been gone for almost 20 years.

Food and service were both excellent. We had large group and server took very good care of us. Drink refills came before glasses were empty. Empty plates were picked up promptly. I had the Pork Double Sauteed, and it was very good. Vegetables were fresh and sauce was delicious. Highly recommend.

I ate here not too long ago and had a nice lunch. I left my server a 20 percent tip as I would normally do. Now looking back on my finances I realized I was charged almost 40 dollars for a single meal. I called the store and they say all tickets get deleted at the end of the night. (This could be true, but I find it hard to believe that a restaurant with a square based point of sales couldn't confirm past orders in 2019. Sales are used to tabulate orders, inventory, food cost etc. So I don't buy it) This leads me to believe that a server decided to alter her tip so I wouldn't realize until later that the numbers don't add up. I could be wrong, but the worker on the phone even confirmed that the meal I had should have been $18.50 + $4 for tip (taxes included) I understand the server life, but stealing is wrong and not worth it.

Delicious and affordable lunch specials, and you can order the dim sum separately even when it is not on offer (we recommend the egg custard buns and the bbq pork buns). Helpful staff and really excellent food was had by all in our party. We will come back next time we are in town!

We had table for 16. Seated right away. Dim sum cart service started at 11 AM. So many delicious options. Chicken feet, shumai, har gow, and more. Loved the steamed buns with Chinese sausage. Decent salted pepper squid and pork chop. Not so great garlic eggplant. It may take awhile for them to push the carts around when the place is packed. Decently price dim sum dishes. Highly recommend in the KC area.

Very nice Chinese restaurant. I think it mainly serves Cantonese style dishes. They also have dim sum on the weekends before 3pm. We tried 3 dishes, eggplant, a stew and an app. All are well cooked and the service is fast. Good portion too so we left we a full stomach. Would recommend.

This is a solid spot if you are wanting some very tasty Pad Thai! My wife and I get it pretty regularly and we are never disappointed. They do charge quite a bit extra if you want extra veggies or meat added to the meal, but you will still get a big portion regardless.

The food came out quickly and the servers were attentive, quick, and kind, but the food itself tasted just ok and within 15 minutes after eating I was having stomach issues. We went with a larger group, three children and five adults. the service was a little on the disappointing side as this rating is a low 4 star rating. The food was fantastic, ordered 5 dishes plus two appetizers and three bowls of soup. All were above expectation especially the spicy curry dish! The duck dish was enormous and absolutely savoring. As well as the chicken lo mein for the kiddos. Would definitely recommend this restaurant for the food, but beware of the service.

I don’t know why there’s so many good reviews, this is by far the worst dim sum place I have ever been to. The food is not fresh, egg tart smells sticky, egg crust bun is not fresh either, some other dim sum is cold, all the servers seems like don’t want to work at this place and can’t wait to got off. The bathroom is old and dirty. Food is over pricey, 3 people eat dim sum and we are not even feel full at all cost $120, I’m just so confused why this place still exist, the dim sum place in St.Louis is 100 times better and cheaper. We will never come back again, so disappointed

SO disappointed Years ago this place was SO much better. Now their “off” days are WAY too frequent... 1) Added cost to get hot/sour soup made my lunch $11! They are simply out-pricing themselves. I can go to many other lunchplaces for $7-8 or under. No longer a good value here. 2) The egg roll had like an odd farmy taste. It was awful and I used to love them here. What on earth did you do to the flavor? 3) Chewy/rubbery, fatty chicken. This was another shocker—-paying higher prices for poorer quality. Did management change?- because the quality sure has. SO DISAPPOINTED. We will go elsewhere.

Loved it! Large portions for the money, especially on the dinner menu. Very delicious. However, one of the reasons we choose the Pine and Bamboo Garden was for the advertised Hawaiian entrees. Since my wife is Native Hawaiian. We were disappointed to find only a few Hawaiian selections and not some more popular ones. But overall, a wonderful dining experience.

My entire family has been frequenting this fine establishment with friends and neighbors in tow, since I was in diapers in the early 80s. It's been both an honor and privilege to continue in this long loved tradition with my own family. Pat and Anton are most definitely just as treasured as their impeccable crab rangoon. Plus the homemade hot mustard can't be beat. I adore the plum sauce and pancakes with my mushu chicken. I remember Mark showing me how to roll them as a kid in the original location on the bar side. That's also where I adore meeting Garly Leazak and Wendy for the first time ever. Heartfelt honors and traditions never die.

I wanted two things, delivery and orange chicken for the kids. When I called because orange chicken is not on the menu the host told me to order online as that was the only way they can link with their delivery service, and to order general tso chicken and put in the notes for it to be done orange chicken style. Then he asked for my name so he could keep an eye out for it. Needless to say my kids got 2 orders of non spicy orange chicken and my order was perfect as well. Excellent customer service!! Wish I would have asked for the hosts name

This is the best Chinese I've had in Kansas City. I've been here several times and loved everything. Everything was perfectly done, staff is attentive, and the chefs are amazing. Traditional Chinese flavors are the highlight of these meals. They even have hot pots!

I've been here when they've been serving their regular menu and their dim sum menu and the food is always well prepared and delicious. I've always found the staff to be friendly.
