This is my favorite Chinese resteraunt. I dont like egg rolls but I love theirs. The portions are huge! One plate of generals chicken can feed my fiance and I. He's kind of a picky eater and this place is also his favorite. My favorite meal is the twice cooked pork. It has a good amount of spice with tons of vegetables.

Our favorite Chinese place in the city. Really fast, tasty food with good proportions. The workers are quick and really nice as well. Their general tsos is delicious and can be made of varying levels of spiciness. I also like their egg rolls which are deep fried. Their crab rangoon is excellent as well.

I ordered Peking Chicken, chicken was very dry and hard. The coating on it was mushy and should've been crispy. They gave me lots of meat but most pieces looked really scary, shaped very strangely. The sweet and sour sauce & the hot mustard sauce sits on the table continuously and who knows what other customers may have put in them and everyone uses the same spoon all day/night to dish these toppings out on the food. Rice was not fresh either, it had been sitting too long. Not fresh. They do give a lot on their portions is the only positive comment I have.

I'm not a huge fan of 'Americanized' Chinese food....This place had huge portions and fast & friendly service. It was a bit pricey for some things - some main dishes are under $10 which is great - but appetizers and tea can really add to the overall bill. Not spicy or varied enough for my taste, but the average person who enjoys standard Chinese food will have a good experience.

It was fair at best. Tried the cashew chicken and the house beef. Both were heavy on the sauce and low on flavor. This was a to go lunch special that came with crab Rangoon and an egg roll. Both were packed in the same container as the entree, so they were soft by the time I got to work to eat them, 5 minutes later.

It seems like this place has gotten much more expensive without receiving any additional food. For such Americanized food, with very little meat in any given dish...the expense far outweighs the quantity and quality of anything i've ordered there.

I placed an order to go... I got the chicken with broccoli and the teriyaki chicken which came with white rice... I also ordered the crab Rangoon... And chicken fried rice... The food was delivered fast...didn't wait long... Talk about a lot of food... I couldn't believe it.. But looking at the bill I believed it.. The food was very good... Ate on it for 4 days... So darn good...

I ordered take out recently and found the food unremarkable. The chicken lo mein was a meager sized portion of mostly noodles and a few onion slices. The wonton soup lacked flavor and the wontons themselves barely had any filling. Their prices are on the higher end for local Chinese restaurants but isnt reflected in the quality of their food. Hope they figure things out.

The man who runs this is so, incredibly nice. I have been coming here for 4 years now and he never waivers. The whole staff works hard, and I am never disappointed. I go back and forth between Beef and Broccoli (I'm the guy that always "adds ginger) or Chicken with Bamboo shoots and of course, extra Ginger. It is never crowded, however even at a busy lunch they are timely and never change their happy demeanor. I get the best fortunes too, so I'm due for a visit.

My very favorite Chinese eatery. They know our likes and where we want to sit. They provide food we love, even when it's not on the menu -- which is so big and varies that sometimes it's hard to choose. Their lunch menu's and fantastic. Their take-aways are so good. Their sizzling rice or wonton soup hit the spot when you aren't feeling well. The appetizers are delicious. Can't say enough about this great place!

Amazing food! Not being from the area and just exploring a new area of town, my family and I went in not knowing what to expect and found friendly staff and delicious food. Restaurant is not the newest but the food overpowers any updates that could be used. All 3 of my picky little eaters loved their meal and my husband and I enjoyed the Terriaki Chicken and General Tso Chicken. Egg drop soup was different from any where else we had tried it and really liked the added ingredients, not your average egg drop soup and so much better! Will make another trip there for sure!

This is an American Chinese restaurant in KC. We tried 4 ‘authentic’ Chinese dishes and they were OK. Most of the people here ended up ordering Crab Rangoon, fried rice, orange chicken, etc., which none of these are authentic Chinese food...

For the past 20 years, this was my families favorite place to eat, But the food just was not up to par, sauces had too much starch, which made it clumpy, and our waiter failed to mention it, looked like Jello, didn't pay for that meal, I will have to think twice before visiting again.

I had a great time yesterday in KC untill I came to this place. The woman was rude and they took a mandatory tip without letting us know.This is ridiculous. Will come to KC again,but no longer come to this place. Not recommend this place if you are tourist.

Have ordered takeout from here a few times, and always wonder why we don't do so more often. The food is always ready when they say it will be and is hot and fresh. The portion sizes are ridiculous (at least 2 meals' worth), with tons of meat and fresh veggies. The staff re-affirm my order via phone and before leaving to ensure I'm heading home with the right food. Have never dealt with a staff member who wasn't kind and accommodating. A quality place for a solid meal- you'll get your money's worth.

Good sit-down non buffet Chinese in Westport. If you like spicy definitely order the spicy version but beware it still probably won't be spicy enough. The service was good but not anything above average. I would return if i was looking for Chinese and near Westport, though I don't think I'd go out of my way to eat here again. That said I did leave full and it was reasonably priced.

The beef noodles and dumplings were by far my favorite!! The dumplings are huge here! The only dish that didn't live up to my expectation was the eggplant and fish hotpot, there were few fish pieces and the meal was incredibly salty for my palette. I probably wouldn't get that dish again, but I'll definitely be back to visit this place!

My main issues are: 1. They told me it would be $32, but when I got there it was $42. They did give me 15% off, but only because I had a discount. That still only brought the total down to $35. Still not what I was told over the phone. 2. My friend who orders from there somewhat regularly ordered their go to dish chicken lo mein, but with orange chicken instead of the regular chicken. I ordered the same thing but asked for general. I know. It’s probably kind of a pain. Not one but two special orders. The guy on the phone says “oh we ring this up as the chicken entree with lo mein noodles and it’s a $3 upcharge.” Well that’s fine. When we get home and look at what we got. My friend described it as “soy spaghetti...” I just don’t know. I have never experienced ordering lo mein without any veggies in it at all. When I asked my friend if that was normal they said “no, this isn’t what they have ever given me before.” We both agree that the food servings are huge!! However neither of us thought this was what we were ordering. I understand that our orders were difficult, but just tell us no.

The small old lady in charge was too busy to greet my party and seat us with menus so we did it ourselves . Building smells like mold . After 5 minutes of just sitting there lost , she comes out and doesn't say hi or introduce herself , instead she slams her writing pad down , rudely asks is for our order , rushing us (our first time in). She then brings up the bill and says $24 , can you afford this . Long story short Westport has a lot of homeless blacks and after 30 years of business , she's ran into a lot of issues but NEVER in all my life have I been treated so shittily as a customer . She didn't receive a tip and I will never return . She was racist and judge mental and all I wanted was food . Food was good though , but it's not worth being over priced and embarrassed the way the OWNER treated me .

I go out of my way to have lunch or pick up dinner from New Peking. I drive past a lot of Chinese restaurants to patronize Tony and his staff--they're all terrific, and I've never had a bad meal there. It does get a little hectic around meal times and especially on holidays, so be prepared to wait a little bit. You'll be glad you did!

I would go here 2-3 times a week if it didn't have any effect on my waste line haha. From Crab rangoon to sesame chicken to bong bong chicken, it is all so delicious. I wish I could give this zero stars. I went online to order from this restaurant, and the link at the bottom of the home page directed me to a menu and site to place my order and enter my card information. I ordered, and an hour late, nothing. So I called the restaurant. The man who answered the phone informed me they did not deliver, nor did they accept online orders. When I informed him that his website links to a place to order online and enter my card info in, he told me I was wrong and was very combative with me. The link does exist on the website (see photo), and should be taken down to avoid other such issues. Because of this, I had to cancel my credit card. This is beyond ridiculous. It doesn't matter if their food is good or not, I will never go here, and I will be sure to tell my friends and coworkers about this ordeal, as well.

This place used to be the go to place for authentic Chinese food and scallion cake was one of their signature item. They offered great selections of dishes, from stir fry to hot pots and seafood as well. We went back today for lunch and hate to say it, this place has gone downhill dramatically. Scallion cake barely has any scallion in it and it was burnt. Tofu dish has a thin layer that’s just enough to cover the plate. Ordered 2 hot pot and sadly, bok choy was the main ingredient for both pot. For the price and quality, ABC cafe, Hong Kong Star and even Jen Jen would beat them in a heart beat. Don’t get me wrong, they have great tasting food but, they haven’t changed a bit since 20 years ago and now, others have caught up and taking the lead.

I'm always searching for authentic Chinese food in KC. I was told this place is a go-to for Chinese expats, and a great place to find traditional Chinese. However, I was pretty disappointed. When I arrived, I told them that I was looking for a traditional menu and my quest to find great, authentic food that I haven't been able to find since coming back from China. The first waiter said, "Oh, I don't really know much about the traditional menu, but the orange chicken is great." Pass. I asked if they had someone who could talk about the traditional menu, and another waitress came over to help. I asked, "What traditional Chinese dishes are your best? What are you known for?" She replied, "I'm a vegetarian." Cool; not what I asked, though. I repeated the question "what are you known for?" and she responded that their most popular dishes are usually orange chicken, General Tso's, etc etc. Again: cool, but not what I asked. I picked a Sichuan dish I'm familiar with, and rolled the dice. Nothing was fresh and everything came out to about $15. The dish was okay. Definitely wasn't worth it for the mediocre experience.

This restaurant was once my daughter and my go to spot for exceptional Asian cuisine. I hadn't been in approximately 17 months. Upon my recent dine in visit, I realized the food was not as delectable. I had Kung Pao Beef. The beef was extremely mushy and had an off taste. Thevricecwas perfectly cooked. Unfortunately the service was not an good as when I had last visited. The restaurant was basically empty but the server seemed to busy to attend to my needs adequately.
