If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I ate here for the first time and it was pretty cheap. The food tasted like it had been left out for a while. I made a huge mistake and still ate it. ALL OF IT! Let me just say that I am 24 years old and I have not puked since I was 12. After two hours of eating the food I started to feel really sick. Then two hours later I was puking up rice and lo mein. Worst experience ever. I will never go back! BEWARE!

Ordered for delivery on Christmas Eve, with very little expectations, they were the only place still opened and delivering. Food arrived warm, driver was nice, food was great and affordable. Great portion sizes. I ordered chicken wings for my children since they aren't big on chinese and even the wings were good! Haven't experienced the buffet, put I certainly appreciated them getting out on the holiday!

My granddaughters love this place but I do think has gone down hill over the past couple of years. Some of the serving trays are not kept as fresh as they should be and selections have diminished. Business has slowed down and I stay away from the sushi unless it's really busy.

This is by far the best Chinese buffet that I have been to in KC. While the don't have as wide of selection as larger buffets, they still have a good selection and even things you won't find at the larger places. Their quality is excellent and you can tell from the taste the chefs take pride in their work. Everything is fresh without being baked under the heat lamps for hours. This is my first visit and I can gladly say I will be returning here again.

This isn't the best Chinese place I've been to the food was still really good served hot and kept what's in the proper temperatures. Also the selections of different kinds of food were diverse and I pleasing. Although this would not be one of the few Chinese places I would drive out to long distance.

This place is fine if you go there during the lunch or dinner rush, but it is horrible if you go at a non standard time. They simply run it as cheaply as humanly possible and replenish the food as little as possible. If you get there when the food is fresh, it is a fine, but slightly mediocre buffet with fewer than average choices. At one time their sushi was good, if you got there at 11 am or 4 pm, but they are cheaping out on it as well. All in all if there was a decent Chinese buffet within 3 miles of this place, it would force them to break their bad habits. As it is now they have no competition, as there are no other Chinese buffets even close to this one. This is a symptom of the Waldo area, having to pay higher prices or deal with lower quality due to lack of competition. Hey, anyone who has had a thought of opening a Chinese buffet, South Waldo is your place, as this very mediocre place would be your only competition!

This is a good Chinese buffet with quality food. The price is $9.65 a person for the buffet which is well stocked with a selection of the most common Chinese choices plus sushi rolls and a few American choices for the kids. They also have a great selection of dessert for your sweet tooth including soft serve ice cream cakes, pudding and the like. As with any buffet it is best to go when it is busy so the food is changing out often. This is the best Chinese buffet in Kansas City and the service is quick and polite. If you want made to order Chinese I would recommend Bo Lings.

Wouldn't want to eat any meat here again. Pastries and fried items are cooked well but they don't use quality ingredients here and it shows. A quarter of the buffet selection is just Jello and another quarter is lackluster salad stuff. Why is there a soft serve machine in here? This seems like a place where folks who work nearby come to on lunch if they don't want fast fast food.

Good food, it's a bit what you'd expect from a Chinese buffet but I enjoy most of what they have to offer. The sushi is pretty good and the soups are always hot and delicious. I like the amount of seafood offerings that they have including their cold shrimp on the salad bar, crawfish, salmon and several other dishes that include crab and/or shrimp.

Service is a 1 worst possible managers. They refuse to restock the sushi bar so make sure you pile sushi on your plate. I arrived in between lunch and dinner wasn't able to get any sushi. They also will not accept customers 10 minutes before closing. I had to leave and drive to independence for ChinesE, I'll drive to lucky dragon in independence next time They deserve a -1 went back 2 hrs before closing. Would not bring out any fresh food out. Limited sushi to mushroom rolls and generic rolls. They had some fried flounder two pieces were good, another piece tasted rotten. I wont be back. Dont waste your time or money.

A mundane dining experience, the place was full of people, yet the food lacked in quality, their fried rice was caked in soy sauce. The lo mien spaghetti noodles. Had little selection to choose from. Not 5 star food here for sure.

I've been eating lunch here for over 10 years; regardless of several job changes. The food is decent and they are always busy. Their jalapeno chicken is the best version I've had and the butter shrimp are unlike anything else I've had at a Chinese restaurant; be sure to get it right when it comes out of the kitchen.

Rude people who do not make up for theor mistakes. I ordered 3 combo meals after work one night. I also love 30 mins away from work... By the time I got home to serve it to my kids it was ALL wrong and missing one whole combo. I ordered: sweet and sour chicken with lol mein Orange chicken with fried rice General tsao with white rice.. What I got was.. Orange chicken with white rice and general tsao with lol mein By the time I got home they we're already closed. I then called the next day and told her what had happened and she yelled rudely saying that's what I ordered And there was nothing she 9ould do about it. I also wasn't given a receipt. Wonder how many others get screwed.

This is really bad. The food looks like it was cooked 2 days ago and tastes like it too. The sushi isn't fresh, but the orange chicken was good though. Drive a little further and find something better. I've been to many China buffets in KC and this one is the worst. I'm not a picky eater I love anything and everything but this made me lose my appetite. I finished 2 plates because I wanted to get my money's worth. Don't come here for the sake of your taste buds.

We ordered some delivery and usually the food is great. However, the Crab Rangoon we got tonight was terrible. It's like they grabbed them right off the buffet and put them in our bag. That has never happened before. Our other food was spectacular as always but the Crab Rangoon was very disappointing. Not sure if we will just do carry out or choose another place.

I've given this place several chances yet every single time not only am I dissapointed but I also get sick. The selection of food is horribly small and the sushi is absolutely terrible. They attempted to fry something on the sushi bar and it was just a big sloppy mess that tasted like wet dog food. The soup is extremely greasy which I don't even understand how that's possible and the salad bar is the closest you're going to get to fresh and even that's a long shot. The restaurant and decor itself is out dated and looks like it used to be a strip club with its tacky blinds and horrible carpet. Skip it and head to Joy Wok in Overland Park. Much better and the same price.

The food was fair to middllen... It was late lunch and had few patrons so the offerings weren't changed or checked. The sushi was disappointing. The restaurant was clean and roomy. The restroom was clean. Prices were $8 pluse drink for lunch. Everything tasted OK and I got full.

I used to go here some years ago when I worked on State line and their food was always pretty good. So now that I moved back into the area I thought I would give them a try, boy was I wrong. The food is almost always overcooked and dry, the chicken on the stick is so overcooked it borders on inedible. Almost all the other dishes are prepared in such small quantities that by the time one or two people visit their small buffet almost all the dishes are picked clean. They do offer sushi, but really the quality and flavor from the Price Chopper next store is better, all in all I would not return again.

One of the better Chinese restaurants in the area. Good delivery service, very prompt and cheerful. Orange beef is best I have ever had in KC. Chicken fried rice is loaded with chicken and very good seasonings. Not wild about the buffet but delivery is great.

I wish I could give less than one star. My co workers and I ordered for delivery at our company. They showed up after AN HOUR, when telling us it would be 30 minutes. Did not wait for us to walk down one flight of stairs to get it, and left. When I called to ask about our order, they said it was sitting in boxes waiting, and they would return in 30 minutes. On top of that, the driver got on the phone and yelled at me "YOU PICKING THIS UP OR NOT" and when I told him I wanted a refund for the terrible service, they hung up. When we called back to get a refund, my coworker was called stupid and hung up on again. I had to call three more times to get confirmation that they were even going to refund us. The service was terrible and the staff can catch these hands.

I ordered shrimp fried rice, spicy with fried chicken. Usually when I order it I get asked how spicy I wanted it.. was never asked, as a matter of fact the lady which is the store owner, seemed like she had so much going on.. that she rushed me off the phone. when I got my food it was overly spicy, that when I tried to eat it I immediatly through it up. I asked for my money back. The owners daughter said she couldn't refund my money but she would give me a store credit . Now I eat at this place atleast 3 times of week... When I called an asked about the store credit, the owner told me I didn't have one. An that it's my fault because I ordered spicy.. This is how thry treat a customer of 5 years . I wouldn't ever spend my money with this company again.. an I suggest you don't either.

Old food in buffet, dried-up and nasty. Egg rolls tasted like hot garbage cooked in a dumpster in the sun. Definitely one to avoid, unless you want to be sick and spend your evening on the toilet.

I've been here several times as I work in the area. Short of Legends of Asia in Blue Springs this is one of the best Chinese Buffets I've been to. The staff is nice, sometimes it's struggle to get a refill after they bring you your check. The food is very tasty (my personal favorite is the Jalapeno Chicken). They do have sushi however I have not had much of it just because it's the only thing in there that looks iffy. The seating setup is nice since their expansion. I think that they could redo the buffet area to have it a little bit more flow friendly and spacious. The food has always been fresh. The crab rangoon is very tasty. In all my times going there I've only ever had dry white rice once. (turns out the steamer was broke) All in all this is a great place for a quick bite.

Fresh food, good people, and good price. Was there for the lunch buffet and it was amazing good. Excellent variety, fresh ingredients, and tasty! If you are craving for a variety of Chinese food, this is the restaurant. Oh, wait! Try their Sushi bar; fantastic!!! If you are unable to consume pork products (like me,) the owner knows it and will gladly guide you to entrees that do not contain pork! Way to go Happy Dragon :)
