Good food. Priced very reasonable
Home food
Well cooked foods. Nice staffs. Great Place.
This place doesn't offer the option to cook your food at your table like some other fancier Korean restaurants but they do bring their food on hot plates. The sides are all great and when we were preparing our leftovers to go, the polite waiter offered to pack some extra sides to go. Very happy customer here - and plan to be back!

The sliced pork is amazing (everything else is good too)
Super nice and delicious! Best Korean food in the town.
My boyfriend and I came here for dinner and he got the Bulgogi and I got the bibibamp. Both dishes were amazing! Service was amazing as well! And they also provide tons of side dishes so you get full pretty fast! We definitely recommend coming here!
It is alright. Typical casual korean diner.
best homemade Korean food in NJ!!!
Our go to place for Korean comfort food! Always delicious with great service & warm staff, plus soju! Have great lunch specials & even lunch bento. The staff has always been so friendly & accommodating to our 2 year old daughter. We stop in for lunch or dinner whenever we are out doing the shopping at Oriental Market! Love the owners!
사장님 좋으시고 메뉴 다양하고 미국에서 한식이 그리울때 가면될듯
If you want Korean then look no further as it is delicious! Will update my review after I try some more of the menu!
Wonderful food. I especially liked the mackeral and seafood pancake!
둘이가서 매운갈비탕, 제육볶음을 먹었습니다, 서울에서와 같은맛, 김치맛도 괜찮은편이었습니다. 잘 먹었습니다.. 다음에도 그쪽에 가면 갈예정..
Authentic Korean food with a modern twist
Excellent attentive service with Authentic and delicious Korean food, I Will definitely be back.
Stopped in for the first time to give this place a try. Service was good and prompt. I had the dolsot bibimbap and it wasn't too bad. The ingredients tasted fresh but it was missing something seasoning wise. Overall, still a good dish. The accompanying sides were all flavorful and we'll seasoned. I tried a bite of the haemool pajun and it had good flavor and a nice assortment of seafood. The only downside is that it could have been a bit more crispy.
It is a Korean food restaurant that everyone can enjoy. It is a healthy food because there is little seasoning and it does not squeeze or squeeze.
It's good
Great tasting food! Great service! Great pricing! I enjoy eating Korean food and have been looking for a good Resturant for a couple of years now. I highly recommend Gangnam!
Solid choice when you're in the mood for Korean in the area. Food and service are good, though service suffers a bit when they're busy. Recommended.
Cozy, but too small restaurant. Food is better than average for me.
The food was amazing, the service was incredible and the prices are right on point. First time there with more to come!
Lots of variety, fairly quick. I’d recommend it.
Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Goooooooooooooood
Very friendly staff...The food was great!!! Pricing was good as well!
If you want to eat overpriced mediocre korean cuisine with terrible customer service, come here. Gangnam Korean Restaurant was a complete dissapointment (Considering the 4 star reviews). There are two key factors hindering the potential and monopoly on gookbapjibes in the Kansas City area. Food vs Price: For $13, you can buy one of the most blandest soondaegook I have ever had the misfortune to taste in my life. The style is served with a huge portion of crushed white beans and green onions. The meat in the soup is scarce, and the flavor was extremely dull. My wife ordered the galbitong combo, which tasted a bit more savory. Her side meat choice was the spicy pork belly, which was not bad but lacked extravagant flavor in its packaged deal of $26. Customer Service: With only one other group of customers already served and eating, we were seated fairly promptly. However, there was a lack of friendly service and I had to ask 3 times for an extra bowl of rice ($2) in a barren restaurant. She did not check on us at all during the meal and was more engaged with her conversation with her coworker. What a joke! I do not plan on coming back anytime soon. The food is overpriced and overated, the customer service sucked, and the kimchi didnt taste extremely fresh as well.
Their fried dumplings are a must. Loved the short ribs. Excellent service. Would recommend.
I'm 1/2 Korean and I love this place. I went for lunch one day and I was great with such hospitality. I was given some raw salmon to snack on and shared a nice beverage there. I have been to many of the Korean restaurants in the area but none of them was what I was looking for. If you don't know, Korean food has different styles much like different areas of places have different dialects of language. Many Americans like the Korean bbq...not I, I like a my moms home style Korean food....and Gang Nam have that to me. The food is great, the people are, great, the food comes out fast and hot....and you get a lot of food, especially with the dinner portions. Definitely try the place and get an imported beer while you're at it!
The food is fantastic.
Maybe we ordered the wrong things. It’s just not good and expensive. Mandu was over fried. Waiter said it’s suppose to be like that. Seafood buchimgae had very little seafood.
Good Korean restaurant in the neighborhood. I don't know how authentic it is as I haven't been to Korea yet, but judging on how many Koreans are dining here I would assume it's pretty good. I ordered 2 dishes, one is a spicy squid, and the other is bulgogi. Both are pretty well done and portion is ok. Would recommend to anyone wants some Korean food.
The food was delicious and the service was good, however, they were charging prices relative to a four star restaurant. The prices need to come down or the portion sizes need to increase and atmosphere needs to be improved for this place to be considered a good value.
Soup dishes are great. Steam squid is a must try. Rib meat is a bit tough, if your teeth isn't so good, I won't recommend this dish. Customer service is good, some during the week days. Don't come during the weekends, the server just don't have the time for you.
Chopstick skills required (not really) but good spicy Korean dish with attentive staff to give you the tutorials for what to eat and how to eat the dishes.
It was a great little hole-in-the-wall Korean place I loved it. they eat their family style. And the food there is just so good.
I didn't know how to mix my food and the waitress did it to flavor and to my satisfaction. Awesome food and great service.
Really tasty authentic Korean food! Loved the galbi here!
Traditional Korean foods. Authentic home cook style dishes.
Good place. I little expensive, but quality food
Excellent Korean food
Great food and friendly staff
Gangnam food was really delicious. It's really great place to eat.
Not bad at all!.
The people were friendly. The service was a tad slow, but the food came hot and fresh. The place is very clean and can seat many people.
Good food and good service, my first time eating here was a good experience.
Good Korean food
Always have good food and I get fast service when i come in.
(Translated by Google) I went to a friend's house in New Jersey and went to the restaurant because I wanted to eat it. It is really delicious. It is more delicious than my mother did. Whenever a friend wants to eat Korean food, it is a place to go. (Original) 뉴저지 친구집에 놀러갔다가 한식이 먹고싶어서 가봤는데 진짜 맛있어요 우리엄마가 한것보다 맛있음 친구가 한식 먹고싶을때마다 가는곳이래요 강추!
Food are so good
Tried two different dishes - spicy squid and spicy pork. They were both good; not spicy enough for those who love spicy food, but spicy enough for those who want to try something different.
First time there. Food and service were top notch. Will return soon.
THE FOOD IS.SPECTACULAR
Is good
The most authentic Korean restaurant in town. Owner is a very nice young Korea guy.
Good. If u like Korean food. There are better places, but I can't complain. Service was great! Food was good. 4 stars.
This place reminds me of Korea! They even serve water in the stainless steel cups like in Korea! Seems like their specialty is in their soups! They have very authentic and amazing soups!
Authentic Korean served quickly by friendly staff.
Great food and people!
nice place. nice food. nice people.
Decent food and good prices.
Authentic, delicious
Food was great! I loved the steamed squid!
We love it
Great Korean food and great service. 1st time here, but will be returning on my next business trip. Who knew Kansas had such tasty Korean food.
대박 만족스러운 식당~최고예요
Such incredible flavors! I had the spicy octopus lunch special and it was phenomenal. Can't wait to try a different dish next time!
Been here multiple times, every time is always delicious and I love to try something new! The people are always kind and friendly. Recommend this place to anyone!
Excellent Mackerel stew.
Good
Had the stone bibimbap bowl. It was really good and great flavor. Sides were excellent.
Great food quality . decent priced great experience
Best Korean foodsince actually being in Korea. Helpful staff and great service.
Yo. Not bad, not bad at all. At least for the spicy pork belly over rice.
Very good home made style Korean food. I recommend the mackerel stew. Friendly service.
I recently went here for the first time and I will definitely be back for more! The service was excellent, the food was delicious, and it was a very quiet and chill environment. I recommend the Gochujang Pork Bulgogi and the Vegetable Pancake. The portion sizes were also dceent for the prices in my opinion.
Good food and good service
If you are looking for a friendly atmosphere, good korean food, and friendly staff, Gangnam is the place for you! I frequent here very often! Never disappointed, always have good conversations with the staff and owner!
Very authentic, flavors were terrific!
Great authentic Korean food and quick service.
정말 강추합니다... 맛 서비스 모두 최고!!! 여행왔다가 너무 행복하게 먹고갑니다.
Best Galbitang in town
It was my first experience and i enjoyed it quite a bit
Very good
So good.

The food here is delicious, but it's a little bit expensive for the portion size and atmosphere compared to other Asian restaurants.
Ok I grew up eating Korean and my husband has lived there. We were disappointed. The Kalbi was slightly bland n for the price small portion. The kimchi was not spicy. My husband got a spicy stew which was bland n not spicy. He had to add salt. If u know authentic Korean do not eat here u won't be pleased.
I obviously don’t speak Korean, but wanted to know if they had eomuk guk, woman on phone got frustrated , gave attitude and hung up.
Got the bibimbap and LOVED It! If you need a taste of Korean food this is the place.
3번갔는데 다 무난하게 맛있다. 서빙하는 애가 일하기 엄청 싫어 보이더라.
한식점 미국중부 원탑입니다
Nice small Korean join, food was good and very tastey.
Amazing food!!! Best Korean I've had in Kansas City.
It's an ok Korean Tofu house with very friendly staffs. Very tasty side dishes. I like their Oyster Tofu & Dumpling tofu. Waitress doesn't understand English too well, so you need to double check what she wrote it down for you. There are many Korean Tofu house restaurants in this area and they are all similar to me, but this one has nice atmosphere located in downtown Tenafly. It has easy parking with town free 3 hours parking lot on the left.
A decent spot for Korean food
Good food
food decent. service terrible. portion not great.
New Setting with good Korean Food, almost like I am back in Korea!
Authentic Korean Food!!
Decent no frills Korean food at a reasonable price. There soups are pretty good.
Excellent food, prompt service. There are pictures of each dish on the wall and on the menu as well as a description of each dish. This helps because the names of the dish are in Korean. This restaurant has the best food and is the most authentic of all Korean restaurants in the Kansas City Area. It is very reasonabley priced as well even especially for dinner.
Great Place to get some authentic tasting Korean dishes.
Surprisingly authentic. Helpful staff.
Loved everything.
Food was excellent!
The survivors are very n8c your food is cooked fast and it is delicious.
Good food, good service
Food to price ratio wasn’t too good. Food tasted fine tho.
Okay, this is a LOVE/HATE review right here. First of all, i LOVE the food selections here. They're amazing! But man, the customer service here is mediocre. Especially this guy that runs it! Not sure if he's the Owner but Oh My God, he has some bad customer service skills! You thank him and he ignores you like you're dead to him. He doesn't even ask if everything's alright or how was the food, he just grab what's empty and go back to his counter. That's not really cool for an amazing place. The restaurant closes at 9:30 pm based on their sign but the last time we ate there, they put the "closed" sign at 8:30 pm. Man, that's an hour of lost opportunities right?! If this is the service that they provide to customers, it's really scary to think what they might do with your order at the back room while they prepare it. Overall, i just want an improvement on their interactions with the customers cause that's where you get them to come back.
It was my first korean restuarant experience although I have had Korean food many times I liked the food and the portions were good and the owner was very friendly and helpful
Good food, clean environment
If you want a something close to home cooked meal, this will hit the spot. Also 해물파전 (seafood pancake) is not on the menu but you can ask for it. It's big enough for 6 people to share and very tasty.
Unbelievable service my 10 year old was there for the 1st time was begging his Mom to get out of bed and come out for dinner... Have a video instruction on how to Make chopsticks easier for 10 year olds will be back soon
Nice soup with main dishes. Best Korean place to go at this time.
The food tasted weird. I can't put my finger on what was wrong, but it just wasn't great. It really wasn't even good. We ordered the dolsot bibimbap and were sorely disappointed. The sides were fishy tasting. The simple broth soup was the only thing we finished. We will try another Korean restaurant and probably won't return to Gangnam.
Delicious food, great service and always on point. Go here!
Gangnam, really great place unlike any other Korean food restaurants I have been to throughout the United States had a fine blu go gi dinner mixed with different kinds of Kim chi always try the Kim chi everything was cooked to a perfection leaving me wanting more on a stuffed belly, will try this place everytime we are in town.
Great little Korean spot with all our favorite soups. Wish it was closer to home!
Really yummy food! I got the beef bulgogi and enjoyed it immensely. Our server was friendly and prompt, the atmosphere was great, and the place is clean and well lit. We'll be back!
Super tasty! I like I can taste Korean flavors conveniently local.
Great place. One of the better Korean places in Kansas City. Very much similar to restaurants in Seoul
Great beef bulgogi!
Authentic home style Korean food in a very friendly setting. Food and service are both excellent. Great for take-out as well.
It is fair
(Translated by Google) It is expensive and inexpensive compared to food. I think you should improve the unfriendly part. I did not like the soup because it did not taste so good. (I had a taste of salt.) The stir-fry was good. I will not go again. A meal that was very disappointing ..
Very average and bland food. I'm Asian and know how authentic Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese and Korean food should taste like, and this place doesn't taste authentic. My family cooks authentic Asian food. I guess Gangnam makes good food for someone who doesn't know what "real" Korean food tastes like. The Bulgogi should really be grilled instead of pan-fried for the best flavor. This place pan-fried its Bulgogi which is OK if you never had the grilled version but there is a difference in taste. The kimchee was watered down and not authentic. I get it...this restaurant caters to mostly Americans. But my search for an authentic Korean restaurant in the KC metro area continues.
Gangnam is a lot better than the Korean restaurant that was there previously. Brighter and cleaner. The food is pretty good. I ordered the spicy pork bulgogi (Gochujang daeji bulgogi) and some fried dumplings. Be aware that some food items like the dumplings are not on the menus at the table. You'll find them on the menu board hanging on the wall. Most menu items seemed to be between 10 - 15 dollars. And as with most Korean restaurant your also served kimchi and all the pickled sides. I'll be back to try the Kalbi and Bi Bim Bap.
My first time having Korean food, everything was flavorful and perfectly cooked. Large portions, good service
Delicious food, excellent service. Great choice!
I wasn't even planning on eating that morning I went in, (September 1st), but a worker let me inside at 9am, although they didn't open until 11pm. A very nice lady came to give me a menu and tell me to eat something since I was hungry! Really, I didn't want to intrude, so all I ordered was a pancake. I sat down and my pancake came out, so I began to eat it, but then one of the cooks brought me a full pitcher of ice water, and a bowl of rice, and then a bowl of sauce, and then 5 more bowls of side dishes to go along with it! I had no idea that I was going to get served like royalty when I was just lost in the city and it wasn't even time for them to open the store. Everything tasted so wonderful and it was really good to try a slice of Korea for the first time. I recommend it 10/10.
I like this place because the food made by my mom. That i felt it
We arrived at this place for a meeting. my friend recommended this spot. Well, it was a winning. the staff members were so friendly and we had a great feeling. The meal was fresh and delicious. We enjoyed every moment and we shall absolutely come back again. Recommended.
they were out of pork knuckle so I switched it over to belly. 12 slices of thinly grilled pork on a bed of yellow onion placed on a skillet for $17.99. For $2 more, Applebees and Chilis are offering a better value with bigger portion. The quality, portion and price just don't add up. At least I'm not ready to pay the up charge for the skillet.

Good food. Its authentic korean style unlike many other korean places that are tailored for people who are used to american food/taste.
(Translated by Google) Soups taste great, no MSG (I guess)! Countries with deep flavor, the taste of condiment're Anna. You can refill side dishes. (Original) Soups taste great, no MSG (I guess)! 국이 맛이 깊고, 조미료 맛이 안나네요. 반찬은 리필 가능합니다.
Amazing
This was my first time visiting this restaurant and I am really excited to say that it was a good experience! All of the food was very delicious, the restrooms were clean and well kept and so was the establishment itself. The staff members were very friendly and courteous. I'm definitely looking forward to my next visit here!
Gasty
My parents and I ate here and the food was above average. We ate yukaejang and ddokbaeggi bulgogi and it tasted pretty authentic. However, the waiter working there was very rude and unaccommodating - he did not address us and was unresponsive. As we watched him interact with the other WHITE customers he treated them differently than us which was strange, since he was rude to us right from the get-go. What’s worse is that he was disrespectful to my dad who is over 60 years old. Food was not good enough for me to go again on account of that waiter.
Fantastic food. I had the spicy squid. It was delicious. Tons of variety. Great place to mix up your routine.
We walked into a pleasantly bright restaurant and were bombarded with wonderful smells and kind greetings in Korean and English. Everyone was super polite and very attentive. Sounds of the Korean language and laughter coming from the other tables gave the ambiance a pleasant nostalgia of enjoyment for the two years I lived in Seoul South Korea 20 years ago. Korean cuisine is one of my favorites and saying this place is authentically delicious is a gross understatement. It is definitely in the top two Korean food spots I have visited since leaving Korea 20 years ago (and we eat it regularly). Restaurant is clean and pleasantly scented. The only down side is that this restaurant is 46 mins from my house, but I am going to make the trip regularly without a second thought.
Got the hot bowl of bibambop. Tasted clean and fresh. Small restaurant though!
Great Experience!! Great Food!!
Food was great. But the price dont add up to the food. Paying to much for what's given.
Run of the mill Korean restaurant
Great food, friendly staff. I would highly recommend! Loved this place!
Delicious Korean Food! So happy Gangnam replaced Rainbow. The Korean seafood pancakes were crispy and had a lot of seafood. Lots tasty of side dishes too. ;) Great service!! We will be back.

Great food and fast, friendly service. I had the Hot Stone Bulgoki and it was amazing!
가정식 스타일. 정상스러움
Soup was too expensive with not enough meat. Cafe vie or blue koi wins 1000% for the money.
Best korean takeout place in the area. Love their food.
Food is so so, portion size is small for the price they charge. SERVICE is BAD though -- rude, not friendly and gave attitude when our party did not order as many plates as head count.
Clean. Decent food.
Fantastic service and really great food! I'm excited to go back and try different dishes.
Great food, quick and awesome service. Best Korean in the metro KC area.
Tried to call in a carry out order and the guy took down my name and number but when I showed up he looked clueless & ended up telling me that he forgot to place the order...
Average service, average tastes
Authentic Korean food, for some it may be a bit pricey but when the quality of the food is top notch in such a quaint little establishment there's no room to skimp.
Awesome authentic Korean food!
Average.
Great food. Plenty of options to choose from. Definitely fills you up. Fast service and friendly staff.
Taste like home food
Food was great but service was some what slow.
Very clean and quaint Korean restaurant. The food was great though a bit too pricey for the small portions. But overall good place to go if you are looking to try Korean food or are craving it :D
Home cook meal. Everything was really good. They also sell frozen dumplings. Must try
Very good authentic Korean food. The only thing that would make it better is if they had the table grills where you could cook your own meats like at some other Korean restaurants. Still, this is the best Korean food I have had to date in the Kansas City area.
The food here was great. The staff was nice and service was quick. Great home cooking Korean food. I will be returning in future.
Delishous
Favorite Korean restaurant in greater Kansas City area... (as an LA native.) Best soulungtang ever (white oxtail soup-- use salt provided and lots of green onions.) Also has the best kimchi pancake appetizer I've ever tasted with the crispiest edges. Anyone who loves authentic international cuisine will appreciate the tradional offerings at this restaurant.
Freaking delicious!
This place is okay, but just okay. The food tasted decent apart from some of the sides (the kimchi barely had any sauce and was pretty bland- tasted similar to the kimchi they sell at the nearby Walmart). The major issue with this place is the pricing. Pretty expensive meals for what you get. You can easily spend around $30 before tip and taxes for food that you wouldn't write home about. Service can be hit or miss depending on who you get. There are much better Asian restaurants in the area, including places that serve Korean food. They are also much cheaper. I will say the restaurant is quite clean and the atmosphere is nice. If it were cheaper- I'd consider coming back.
This place is amazing! If you have never had Korean food start with the bulgogi!
