They have fried tacos that are amazing. The server we had was very good. We didn't have to ask for refills or more salsa. She got it before we had the chance to ask. She came by to see if we needed anything .we will be making this one of our regular spots!

Since moving to Overland Park 12 years ago we've tried quite a few Mexican restaurants, but by far Fronteras is our favorite! Great food choices and our vegetarian daughter has quite a selection from which to choose. Great drink specials, too!

I had a good experience here. The food is tasty, and they have many options. They seem to have a liking for the use of Cream Cheese, although I do not object. The wait was not bad, the service was good, the food was tasty and cooked well. I did not try any Tacos, so I can't speak to that. The environment is lacking a bit. Pricing is fair. This is a good mix of Authentic, and Americanized Mexican food. I think most people will find this restaurant to be more than sufficient. I would recommend.

Go for the shredded beef tacos on Taco Tuesday, good tacos $1.50 each. 3 was plenty for one person. Dinners are very good, we usually get enchiladas a la carte. We also order take out from there a couple of times each month.

Great food. Good service. Be careful asking for salsa refill, if you say hot salsa accidentally, tread lightly, it will numb your tongue.

Very loud, full of squealing kids, celebrating Back to School week. Getting past that, (ok, what a lovely atmosphere), the menu and prices looked terrific. The chips and salsa were great! The special was shrimp guacamole enchilidas. AWFUL!!! I could barely identify the enchiladas because the plate was full of a thin liquid, up to the brim. The rice, beans, and pinch of lettuce were swimming and swishing in yellow water. My husband swore he bit a shrimp shell. The tortillas were so tough, they didn't tear with the side of my fork. We sent it back, but the servers said it was supposed to be like that....that was "sauce". We had also ordered the taco platter. Very hard shells that suprisingly fell apart because of the greasy, watery ground beef and lettuce. I can't imagine going back.....yuck!

I often come here and the service is unparalleled. I often come by myself and am treated so well. When I bring friends service is unparalleled. When you watch the employees you can tell they seem to genuinely care about their customers. I love coming here with friends or just to sit and read.

The food was great! Exactly what we wanted. The 20oz house margarita was tasty (& strong)! The staff was super kind. Side note: while we were there, there was a table of people trying to “prove” that the margaritas weren’t actually 20oz. They were pouring their drinks back and forth between glasses & being quite obnoxious. Clearly they didn’t understand the concept of ice in beverages... all to say: be kind to the staff! Don’t be like those people.

Do not use a card to pay here!!! Left a $10 cash tip on a $43 bill, wrote "cash" on the tip line but waitress decided to add another $7 on our card. Very poor ethics here. The same night we went there our card used for online shopping. I have sent them a message with no response from the owner. Just beware that the workers here may steal your information.

The food is always generously prepared and the service is unmatched. The owner comes to each diner's table to greet them and ask how their experience is without feeling pressured to give positive answers. You genuinely feel that if your meal is not exceeding your expectations he cares to know and have the chance to fix it.

My friends and I get together and make an event out of it. The food is fabulous and the music is festive. I order the queso dip with chips (warm light and crunchy) as an appetizer then the fried crunchy tacos with rice and charros beans and sopapillas for dessert, mmmmm. I haven't had bad service there but I'm a Spanish speaking African-American woman so I'm able to order just what I want and make myself understood. The staff speaks English too! You'll love it....I do! One of my FAVORITE places!!!!

The food was good but the service was sub par. She never even refilled our drinks, whereas the table right next to us had ordered and received their food and refills before we even got our drinks! Some of the food was also cold. Benefit of the doubt: they sang happy birthday like 7 times so maybe it was just a busy night.

We went to Fronteras to celebrate a birthday. We had 13 people, including several children, and they had no difficulty accommodating us at a long table. The food was delicious; however, the highlight was everybody in the restaurant singing to my three year old granddaughter on her birthday. The prices are reasonable and the selection is extensive. The servers were friendly, knowledgeable, and professional.

Service was prompt and courteous. The wife and I split the steak chicken and shrimp fajitas. All the meats were very well seasoned and flavorful. The black beans and rice had great flavor as well. The salsa was good as well but not exceptional. Would definitely go back again

Check your CC bill when you get home, the waiter added another $2 for his tip. I called today and they can't "locate" the CC slip. So they expect me to print out my bank statement and bring it to them for $2. He got a low tip for; 1. bringing me the wrong beans and ignoring that. 2. He gave me the wrong bill and charged me 30.00 more than my order, which was voided. After I finally flagged someone down 3. Bringing me the corrected bill with no pen and then disappearing so I had to wander around the bar looking for one. Going to report this to the city, if he's done it to me I'm sure there were others. Food was OK nothing to write home about, chips were good.

Not very good. Ordered a 20oz Strawberry Daiquiri and got a cup full of flavored crushed ice. In theory could've been good, but halfway thru it just became watered down and had no flavor. We weren't able to use a straw so we used forks to "drink" our drinks. A child ordered Mac N Cheese( yes I do understand this is a mexican restaurant but still) it smelled like vomit. I did not try it, but the other people at our table did and said it tasted sour. Other than that our server was great, and our food was good!

This is a really nice family ran establishment. They have a great selection and the prices are very fair. During the day on Monday thru Wednesday they offer 12 oz margaritas for $2.50. They are very good and fairly strong. No skimping here. Their chips are among the best in town. They are thin and warm. The only thing that was lacking is that their salsa is rather boring.
