Lovely little restaurant, I had the most delicious French toast and my husband got the breakfast tacos. They also have a happy hour and lots of brunch drinks!

Our first time here- we had an exceptional server named Patience. She was extremely friendly and great customer service. The food was fantastic as well as the endless cups of coffee. My husband asked how big the pancakes were- she said “The kind you dream about as a kid”. They were huge & delicious! (multigrain) I had the avocado toast- it was delicious. We will definitely be back when we visit again. Highly recommend!

Wait was about 20m on a Sunday noontime. Street parking was crowded. I parked in the big adjacent numbered lot and asked the host if it was okay. He said yes. Car was still there after. Food was great. Blood Mary tasty. Menu prices good too. However, would advise everyone to double check your bill. On the bill, I was upcharged lemon curd french toast a dollar from menu price because waitress entered it in as normal French toast plus a dollar for lemon curd. Could be their systems fault but gotta assume the workers know how to do their job. I didn't make a scene about it this time. Will see if it happens again. Sour ending to an otherwise pleasant brunch.

Crispy Hash Browns For the Win! Four long time friends reconnected to celebrate with brunch at this busy, bustling eatery. Most items sounded delicious, with great creativity in the combination of ingredients for the crépes and omelettes. The Salubrious omelette was my choice, personalized to exchange feta for the Swiss cheese. The red onion chutney was a delightful accent to the flavors. Cheerful and efficient, our waitress, Kim, willing substituted hash browns for toast. The fresh fruit was just that: fresh! I ended up ordering an extra serving. The country potatoes of my friends were perfectly sized and uniformly crunchy. When asked to ensure "extra crispy" hash browns, Kim was doubtful. "We're not really known for that." I suggested that could change today... And I believe it has! My hash browns were the perfect crispy brown on the outsiders and cooked but fluffy on the inside. Bravo to the cook! None of us left food behind and coffee refills were frequent and included caffeine or not as requested. We're all from out of town, and envy those diners who could make a habit out of eating here.

Do you like egg puns? Then you'll love this place! Honestly one of the best breakfast places in Kansas City. It's been around forever and is a classic breakfast spot. Definitely try the chorizo biscuits and gravy.

Good food. Long wait. Had the finish line omelet, it was good. Atmosphere is hustle and bustle and tables are very close together. Had an issue with the food not coming out together and one person in my party did not get his food till everyone was almost done. But the manager was very kind and took care of it, along with giving him a bottle of their ghost pepper hot sauce. I would return.

Oh my! This is an amazing little restaurant with spectacular service and coffee! Love the southwestern Benny! The gravy on it is a tad spicy (but I LOVE it)!! Clean and friendly place for sure! Been many times and never disappointed! The bathrooms are good and stocked and clean as well! And the mimosas are to die for!! Go good with any breakfast or lunch! Wonderful wonderful little gem in Kansas City! Great for breakfast! I highly recommend!

My friend and I met there around 8am on a Saturday. It was busy but she was able to grab a table for us while I parked. The food was good, but I would like to try more of their menu before making up my mind completely. The atmosphere is lovely, but definitely plan on waiting during busier times! By the time we left (around 9am), there were people waiting behind our table (that was a bit awkward). Plan accordingly! Also, we parked on the street, but there IS a parking lot. I thought it was reserved for apartment tenants or something but it seemed to be for customers of local businesses. Oops!

Love Eggtc. Just know that if you’re going with a large group, you’re going to wait. And if you’re going on Saturday or Sunday with just your hunny, you’re still going to wait. It’s always busy, all the time. But the menu is fantastic: vegetarian options, healthy choices, classic breakfast. It’s a KC classic. Just prepare to spend a little time and don’t be a dud if you have a little wait. That staff is working their butts off!

Won't be back. The food was sub-par and bland (I ordered avocado toast; the avocado spread was less than one would typically smear their toast with jelly), service was friendly but inadequate (our server spent the entire meal rolling silverware 4 feet from us instead of checking on us), and the seats were dirty. When I got home, I realized that I sat on a blueberry, of course I was wearing khakis, so those pants are ruined. $30 for 2, and ruined Ann Taylor khakis.... Not worth it. I'll stick with First Watch.

Large brunch portion sizes are a way to make me one happy camper, folks. A friend in the neighborhood brought me here for the first time. Love the brunch potatoes - actually everything. Coffee too! (I'm the one that needed all the coffee ☕) The morning we went it was absolutely packed/busy, but not in a chaotic or crazy way. Staff was in control and very pleasant. Next time we go we will have liquid breakfasts!

Absolutely horrible experience today. After speaking with the mgr Greg, I understand now why the service was horrible and sadly I will not be returning. Waited too long for the waiter, til I got up to order my own latte from the bar, all the food was not served at the same time, the hash browns were cold and burnt, steak was way over cooked, dry, and too hard to eat, eggs came without cheese and she did offer to take them back but at this point I was over it. I paid and left, to avoid a scene but called just to mention my dissatisfaction today. The mgr had little to no concern and made excuses. He actually said because I ordered my steak well done was the reason it was over cooked, dry, and too hard to eat, apologized others were served before us that arrived significantly later than us, but said it was because I ordered a steak. After my conversation with him, I will never return. I use to love this place and tried to give it a pass for the day, but after speaking with him. I will gladly take my money elsewhere.

Food was okay, service was weird. We ordered mimosas and she asked for ID’s. Okay. Then she tells us pull it out of the wallet. Cool. Then she tells us to smile, turn our heads, and show more proof that these ID’s belonged to us. We are grown, and it was very disappointing to have us interrogated. I am in postpartum, so for her to tell me that I don’t look the same as my photos is really devastating. I would not recommend this place.

Absolutely one of my new favorite restaurants! I enjoy breakfast dishes all day long but these were fabulous. I truly think our order also only took 5-7 minutes to get out to us, I was astonished at how quickly our food came. The place was slammed for Easter but our waitress was polite and still managed to get to us a few times. There was a steady dull roar of conversation from so many people. The food was out-of-sight delicious. Atmosphere was good, there were TVs in the sitting area we were in, which I am never a big fan of as they add visual clutter, but they didn’t have the volumes on so it wasn’t additional background noise. The restaurant is in a commercial strip, completely non-descript but a great find once inside.

I gave Eggtc a second try after not being very impressed several years ago. Let me tell you, I'm sure glad that I did. Everything on the menu was unique and looked so good. The food that I ordered did not disappoint. In fact, it was delicious. I also really liked this location. The atmosphere was much more vibrant than the Shawnee location that I had previously visited.

One of my favorite places for breakfast in all of Kansas City. Great food and great selection. The staff is always friendly and attentive. They also have some of the best coffee in town and make a wide variety of flavors. And I absolutely love the reverse happy hour. Nothing beats starting tour Saturday morning with a Rockies Benny and a Mimosa. They do get very busy quickly on the weekends, but you will not regret the wait!

A nice little breakfast cafe. Good choice of food on the menu. Pancakes were a little dry and heavy but the French toast was really good. The breakfast tacos were really good. I loved their own brand of green spicy sauce, so flavorful. The service was a little slow and the waitress was a little nonchalant but nothing to complain about. Good prices.

They encourage sustainability by asking that patrons bring their own to-go boxes and by using few to no straws in the restaurant. Our waitress was also really friendly and fun! Next time I'm in KC, I'll be sure to stop by! Come hungry, you won't be disappointed.

So, we were visiting Kansas City and came across Eggtc on Google. This is a small place and was busy. But, they were super efficient and the wait was worth it. We actually ate there all three mornings we were there. We tried something different every day, so it would take awhile to talk about it. Service was excellent! That helped since both of our orders had to be returned to the kitchen. The pork chop was sour (guessing it had to be from the marinade they use), the Italian sausage was a bit too spicy, and the medium poached eggs were over easy. Appreciated that our server stayed on top of what we needed and discounted our meal without us having to ask for a discount. Will give them another chance.

Excellent breakfast location on Main Street near downtown Kansas City. Very popular with the locals, and the reason is the food is awesome! Broad selection on the menu from sweet items like waffles and French toast to omelets. Service was great. Excellent coffee, and they have a full coffee bar menu. Except a wait if you are coming on a weekend or peak breakfast hours, but it is well worth it.

The service was great, but the food was pretty mediocre fare. The prices weren't bad, so it's as good a place as any I suppose. Nothing to write home about. Also the seating was a little dense for my tastes, but nothing that would ruin your meal. Ultimately, not the special brunch place you take your family to every Sunday - but not a bad place at all to grab a meal when you're in the area and hungry.

Best service for a breakfast place in town. The lines may look long on weekend mornings, but I've never had to wait longer than 15-20 min! Pro tip: if there's just 1 or 2 of you, check the breakfast bar for open seats or seats turning over. It's first come first served open seating!

Had an issue with a pickup order, I got someone else's food. Explained this to the male manager in person, RACIST as can be, said they would never give out free food. Obviously its not free if you paid the first time and got a wrong order dummy!! I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, especially someone of color the way they treated me was unbelievable.
