Our first Korean BBQ experience and we didn't really have any idea what we were in for. It was delicious and so much fun! So much fresh food - well presented - and a truly interactive meal where you cook the meat yourself right at the table. We got one of the combos for 2 and it was more than enough for two of us. The marinated meats were amazing when cooked and I was surprised the pork belly was my least favorite (but still good). We will be back soon and are bringing the kiddos next time!

This was my first time having Korean BBQ but everything was delicious. We got their combo for 4 people, added some mild chicken and a couple orders of wings. The wings had a nice sweetness to them and the beef was so tender!

This is a great place for an authentic feel Korean resturant. My daughter and I have made 2 trips to Korean and when we want to eat the good stuff this is where we go. We feel like we are back in Korea as the flavors and atmosphere are so close. Only thing we miss is the option to sit on the floor to eat. Lol! The meats here are fantastic. Side dishes change so it is nice to try different things. Thai tea is amazing.

Not really a fan. The idea was fun but it seemed really overpriced for the food we got. We were celebrating a granddaughters birthday and thought the idea of grilling at our table would be fun. We ordered a huge platter for our party of 5. There were several different meats and veggies but little more than enough for each person to just taste. They even scrimped on the rice. Won't go back and don't recommend it.

This place used to be a good korean restaurant. It's become a fast food joint. Food is all pre made and sloshed out to the tables. I have eaten here for years and tonight was told couldn't unless I spend more money on food as I'm alone. Nothing on the door or menu that states this. Will contact the BBB about it.

I have been waiting for a hour and the waiter keep telling us to stand by two empty table. He keeps ignoring us and cleaning another table. I asked several times and he became rude at my friends. He was so rude at our girls. How can a waiter like this working in this restaurant? People came few minutes before us are already seated for a long time. He does not want to have us seated waiting with a menu. He discriminated us as Chinese. If you don’t want us to come, please mark it on the door. He keeps twisting our words that we are so speechless. I know restaurant like this might be a family business. That does not give you the right to ruin our good day. We can not let this behavior happen to other people like us. I would never come back again even if the waiter apologize to us. Never! There is no chance for you to be rude at us ever again!

The quality of meat is great. Everything taste's great. The shrimp were my favorite because they were seasoned. I wish some of the meats would be seasoned. The price is pretty high but the trade off is that it is a nice place to eat and have a good time with friends. I had a great time here.

I just finished eating here for the first time and I couldn't be happier. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The restaurant itself is artistically laid out. The menu is comprehensive and authentic. It's obvious that these people love the food they serve and they want you to love it as well. The ingredients are all top-notch. This restaurant is especially good for larger groups and parties. Watching your meat grilling in front of you or thoughtfully picking out goodies from the shared stewpot is an entertaining and satisfying experience. This is a unique dining experience I have not encountered anywhere else in Kansas City.

Well loved restaurant by locals this is THE place to take clients or to gather the dimly to celebrate. Many options to choose from. Steaks, seafood, pasta ,etc. nice wine selection. The spring greens salad was fantastic. I had the salmon which came with wonderful mashed potatoes and fresh green beans.

Disappointing and horrible service. Very confusing menu. I asked for someone to explain the menu to me and all I got were dirty looks for our waitress. She walked away in the middle of saying I was confused by the menu and that it was my first time there. She made the experience so horrible my mother and I left the restaurant and will never return!

I have been having lunch here for years now. The atmosphere is nice, quiet, and a little dark, which I like. They usually have a K-Pop video station on low. One of my favorite items is the dolsot bibimbop. The fried egg, crispy rice, veggies, and your protein of your choice just makes this dish a solid choice! Don't forget to ask for a side of gochujang! It's a great spicy "Korean ketchup" or "spice bomb" to add. Speaking of sides, ask for the banchan if they dont bring it automatically. Kimchi, potatoes, celery, or whatever they have in the kitchen ready to go is a must. It's not super spicy for sure, so try it! This dish is also a great value. It could fill you up for the day! Lots of calories! The lunch "box" is another great choice and not quite as much food. It's more like a "bento box". Again, pick your protein, and they will add the salad, rice, wontons, banchan, and etc. Don't be afraid to try Korean if you haven't done so. Cheers!

Food was pretty good but the side dish portions were small and there wasn't much variety. The service was just ok and they were stingy with napkins and sides. They also charged an 18% service fee for a table of 2 kids and 2 adults. I talked to the weaselly server boy with the bowl cut about it and he blamed it on the owner and offered to take it off but I just don't understand why they would charge that when you basically cook your own meal.

Went there with family to eat BBQ. I was quite disappointed by their food quality. their side dishes( Banchan) was horrible; either too spicy or salty. the Kimchi tasted too old/ dry. their service was great, but food was not recommendable. I would not visit this restaurant again.

Korean BBQ, unlike most other BBQ in the US, is very much about the experience of the meal as well as the quality - Chosun nails both effortlessly. The atmosphere and experience we had was absolutely perfect and the food was incredibly authentic and delicious. If you're looking for great food or even just a unique experience, Chosun is the place to go. I've never had more tender bulgolgi and the tteokbokki was AMAZING. We'll definitely be back again soon.

I love Korean BBQ in general, but for the cost, the meats here were mediocre, and the sauce/doing options were pretty narrow. Also, our server kept talking about how he just wanted to get off work, and then rushed us to close out our tab so that he could leave, even though the restaurant was still open for several hours.

The customer service was so bad! I asked one of the guys to sit at a different table, they outright said: "No you can't sit there, it's not for you!" Another guy came and toss the menu onto the table with a rude attitude. We had to stand up and find someone for a check out. The food so good, i like the idea of grilling where you eat; but the entire service ruin our appetite.

The set up is simple yet described the place to be a Korean restaurant with authentic food. We never try their regular Korean a la carte food from the menu as we can find those foods easily but not the authentic bbq

I liked Overland Park before I came here. Their meat was litterally just fat, and everything else is extremely bland. Honestly the only good thing was the little appetizer salad they give you first. This place is INSANELY overpriced for their food and the service was the worst I've ever had, anywhere. Our waiter changed 4 times throughout our dinner and we had to ask for water and a refill even though there were only two other people there and about 9 people standing behind the counter whispering to eachother. I think this is one of those places white people go to just to say they've had korean bbq.

Really cool concept that I've never tried before - cooking your food on a small grill in your table. The food was great and so was the service, although it IS a little pricey if you're trying to stay under $20 a person. The only negative is that they charge you for extra LETTUCE (when already paying a decent amount of money for the meal you're cooking) and did not mention that fact when we asked for a few more leaves. However, would be willing to come back because of the experience.

This place was amazing! They do not take reservations. Was able to be seated with a 9 top across two tables for Korean BBQ. This is not my first Korean BBQ restaurant and I was not disappointed. The servers were incredible! So kind! At one point we weren't sure how to cook the seafood and the server cooked it for us! The banchan was delicious and bottomless. This entire meal is an experience that you will love! You owe it to yourself to give this place a try!

Good local korean restaurant with a variety of delicious dishes. The appetizers are good with crisp, juicy mandu and deliciously spicy ddukbokki. The vegetables they serve with the meals are fresh and tasty, if not as varied as some others. The lunch bowls are a decent value with meat, rice, salad, an appetizer and veggies. The meats are well cut, marinated beautifully, and served delicious, or served up for you to cook at the table so you can have it just how you like it. The kimchi soup is filling and spicy, great for warming up on a cold day. Overall, a great local spot to go for korean barbecue.

I have never been to a Korean BBQ restaurant before, so I have no idea what to do or expect. Meat & seafood was fine, fresh and ready to cook. No additional plates are brought to the table, so I was thinking about what do you put the cooked food on? We just asked additional plates. Its not a good idea to mix cooked meat and raw meat.. We told the server we'd never tried this before, but no assistance was offered. It really is self explanatory, put raw food on the grill and cook. I did not care for most of veggies put on the table, that was no fault of the restaurant tho. Just nothing I want to eat. I'm not picky, but if it doesn't look good. I don't want it. We tried everything, mostly pickeld sprouts, cabbage, 3 small pcs of zucchini squash. Kind of expensive, I had to ask for a drink refill. Approximately $25 per person w/o alcohol. While I (or the 2 others with me) won't be back, I assume this is standard food for this type of restaurant. The service is little lacking. Considering it was Tuesday evening around 7pm IMHO for us - Japanese steak house, someone cooks the food and a bit of a show usually. All for the same money.

If I can give a zero star rate, I will! Today was a very disappointed dinner, me and my friends called to make a reservation for 5 people (weekday), they wont take it. So one of our friends went there early to get a table for us. The whole service was terrible, we asked for another set of side dish, the server keep saying they can only do free refill but can’t give us another set. ( I don’t get it what’s the difference) Also, they charged us for the refill on the lettuce. I been there several times, never got charges for extra lettuce for doing the BBQ. Later we order another fish dish, the server completely forgot about it. And also the fish was terribly cooked. When we ask for the bill to check out, they gave us the original bill, but after we give them the card, they put a 18% group charge without telling us about it at all, and went ahead run the cards. So I went and checked their menu, it says they will put group charge on party over 6, but we are 5, (according to the state law, they can’t put group charge on party less than 6). Second, they should put the group charge on the original ticket when they gave us initially, not just charge us without any notice and run the card. I’m always a good tipper, this is definitely a insult, and cheating!!!! The over all service today was slow, rude, and horrible attitude!!!! I’ll never go back again, as well as my friends. I’m hoping whoever eat there ever pay close attention to your bill, don’t get tricked by them

We were allowed to grill our own meats at the table(no small feat with the draconian fire codes in these parts), but the server was very kind and helpful in showing us the best order to cook the meat. The meat itself was incredibly tasty and the sides and kimchis were good (if not a bit sparse). They have a good atmosphere and no shortage of bizarre K-pop music videos to revel in. It's a bit pricey, but well worth it if you're looking for a fun group experience.

Service was terrible and the meat was very fatty. Server couldn’t be bothered when asking for extra food sides and reminded us constantly of the extra charge for EVERYTHING. Extra lettuce, that’s an extra charge. Extra setup? “Sorry I’m only allowed to provide two to the table” even though we ordered for four. Extra rice? That’s an extra charge. And you had to ask for more drinks while the server was running away from the table. Will NOT be going back. This place used to be great. It’s gone WAY downhill.

The Asian lady who maybe owned the restaurant couldn't stop staring and it was sort of annoying but we chose to stay my friend really wanted Koren BBQ. The rude guy placed us and the waiter saved this restaurant for me. He was very friendly and attentive. Ended up tipping him well because he wasn't rude unlike the guy. I don't mind bad customer service because I never spend my money somewhere twice anyway if this happens. However if you choose to go I hope you have a better experience but if you don't look like what they are used to be ready to feel out of place. The food is descent the people are just trash. I'm from New York where it's diverse so I don't take Midwest ignorance personal.

Oh and our fountain drinks were horrible time to clean the lines and make sure the right amount of syrup versus carbonated water is mixing properly! Better yet just serve canned or bottled drinks!!!

It's decent but pricey though. You pick selection and you cook it but if you need help or first timer, it's fine coz they will help or assist you. It's good and it's up to you how you cook your food.

This place isn't just a restaurant, it's an experience. I've been wanting to try Korean BBQ for awhile now and I'm so glad I finally did! It is was so delicious. You can do the bbq by individual meat or by one of the combos they offer. Me and my husband shared the combo with brisket, ribeye, pork belly, and pork shoulder. My favorite was the pork belly! So yummy! All the sides they give are also delicious and not too spicy.

Their bbq is delicious, and I've been multiple times and always left stuffed. Korean bbq is always an experience because you get to cook your own meat! We tried the Korean style fried chicken which was delicious. Super crunchy with a lot of sweet sauce. I was disappointed when they couldn't accommodate my request for sauce on the side, which was very surprising. I wouldn't think it would be too difficult to put the sauce in a ramekin or separate bowl. Though the sauce was good, the chicken was too drenched for my taste. I hope they can change their policy and serve sauce on the side.

A bit more than I typically would spend on a meal, but it was a great splurge for an afternoon out with friends. It was my first time doing Korean BBQ and thankfully my friends knew what they were doing. My only criticism was our server was disinterested and hard to get a hold of when we needed something. Overall it was a great time with delicious food.

I just saved thousands of dollars on airfare or another one year tour in “the land of the morning calm”! (Chosun) I’ve had Korean dishes in Seoul, Busan, Osan, Uijeongbu, and Dongducheon... Unlike eating at an American chain restaurant in Korea, this does not disappoint!
