This Restaurant is classified in the category of Barbecue restaurant.
Our server was outstanding! We got a variety of items. Everyone liked their meat. Fries were fantastic. Full bar. Great vibe. Went around 830 on Saturday night and no problem getting a table.
This was our first time. It's our new favorite!!! The atmosphere is so awesome!!! The server got our name with our orders and she called us by our names or babe. We really dug that!!! Wish I got her name so I could give her a shout out!
The greatest burnts ends ever! My family of 9 enjoys everything about the place. Kids love the turkey.
A Hidden Gem in Kansas City excellent BBQ...
Food was cold, sauce tasted odd, and price was too high for what we got. Clerk at counter was talking with someone else when I came up and I had to wait until she was done. This wouldn't have been a problem, but it wasn't anything about an order or payment, it was small talk about Louisiana.
It was ok food...I did like the decor.
Came with a group of friends, maybe too many of us, but they sat our group of ten or so and were able to reasonably accommodate us. I got the Turkey sandwich thing and it was amazing. I think everyone needs a little BBQ joint in their life!
Great food and atmosphere. Clean and great service.
Love this place. Great prices and food. Generous portions. Cool hot rod aesthetic.
These are good people. Very accommodating and very helpful. Large portions enough for lunch and afternoon snack in one. Absolutely amazing bbq. I’m not much of a sausage or hot dog guy but I tried their “Harry S” (their hotdog sandwich) and I can not get over how good it was. Very cheap for the atmosphere, service and food. 23 bucks for 2 giant plates. I will be going back very soon!!! Personal recommendation: get the cheesy corn as a side!! Do it for America!!
This place rocks! The burnt ends are amazing. Trust me - just go.
I've been to this "BBQ Joint" approximately 15 times. Each time the food has been superb. They service incredible ribs and really many variations of dry meats that you get to apply your own bbq sauce to. They have unique appetizers that are to die for! They even have a seasonal outdoor area with live music. Or you can just dine inside. The service has always been great! To be candid, the exterior might make you think twice about patronizing the place. (I ignored it for a year!) But, I'm ever-so pleased I finally went and I would encourage those even from many miles away to give it a try. You'll be super glad you did! It's well-worth the drive! Thanks for bringing this wonderful establishment to our neighborhood!
Love their mac and cheese. Food was delicious .Will be back .
Always delicious You're good with a slab of ribs and the fries are amazing and your golden and you can walk out the door for under to $30
Very tasty, server was friendly and helpful. Prices were appropriate for the food. We shared the special, full slab of baby back ribs, with fries and two sides. Brought home leftovers.
All you get are pics of the outside. I took the first bite and never looked back. Next thing I know I was walking out the door. I ordered the burnt ends and they were excellent. I added 3 ribs and they where fall off the bone good. It took awhile to get seated but then again we had 10 people with us. It is not a large place. So we understood. We got seated at 7:50 but they closed at 8pm on Thursday. We never felt rushed. Everyone was nice and pleasant.
Great food but i wont be coming back bcuz of the HORRIBLE service i got from the waitress.
Very good BBQ. small town feeling in a big town. Love the old cars and what they did with them.
Fantastic BBQ. Just came over to visit the Truman library and decided to drop in. We will be making the trip back for the BBQ next time.
Went for the first time on a recommendation. Smoked turkey was really good. " sandwich " came with quite a bit of meat. Cole slaw is vinegar based, different but really good. They have a daily special, senior menu & kids menu. Note : it's on highway 24/Independence but the street name off of Nolan is called Independence. [ 7 - 11 is there ] * I went back for their smoked, bacon wrapped meatloaf wed special. Was good. BBQ beans were good as well but definitely on the sweet side.
The food, the decor, the food.. ... the food.. the food.. and some beer
Cool place. I will go back.
I didn't enjoy the food. The ribs were dry. Atmosphere is great though!
I went to this BBQ to pick up my order from their website. I had requested no pickles but wouldn’t you know it they put pickles in the package. I didn’t complain and just took it off. I like pickles but not on my food as for me they take over the taste. I ordered the cheesy corn and it was wonderful. The BBQ was okay with a great sauce. The beans were a little sweet but very good. I will go again when in the area.
I been around, had BBQ south all over, this place is not even close to being good, ribs where a little raw, brisket was dry, sausage was ok, wings were not bad pull pork had no taste, good thing I was just visiting and will never go back. The looks of the place is super nice I loved the outside with live music and the inside decorations.
Top Notch!!!! Amazing BBQ in every possible way. Great service. Food came super fast. Fleetwood was amazing. Chilli amazing!. Just Great. Keep up the GREAT WORK. Look at those Sandwiches!!!!
Ordered takeout from here last night. Our pulled pork and burnt ends tasted like leftovers from two days prior. Dry AF. We didn't even finish our food, let alone save what was left. Bummed out. I had dined in here once before - about 3 months ago - and the experience was positive enough that I came back. Reluctant to try again, given as many good BBQ joints as there are in this town.
Solid BBQ and good atmosphere. We visited on a Saturday evening with our small kids and had a great experience. The decor was fun and interesting (for the kids, too) and the atmosphere was laid back and friendly. The restaurant was clean (which is not something I've been able to say about every BBQ place we have eaten at.) Our waitress was attentive despite the restaurant being busy. My husband ordered the burnt ends with coleslaw, fries and added a few ribs. He said the ribs were really good (and I think he would pride himself on being a rib connoisseur!) He said the burnt ends were solid. I ordered the Saturday special, half a chicken with two sides. I had fries and coleslaw. I didn't care for the slaw, but its not that it didn't have a good taste, just wasn't my style. Their fries are really frickin' good! The chicken had a really good flavor but could have been cooked longer. It wasn't undercooked, I'm just used to BBQ chicken being cooked until it is more tender. Their sauce is pretty amazing! I've tried a lot of different BBQ sauces and the Mad Housewife (their medium sauce) was one of my favorites. Thanks for a great experience. We will be back the next time we're in Kansas City!
I have been several times and great food and service.
Love the Wong tongs, great owner an family. Very neat place i highly recommend this place
Outstanding customer service, portion sizes were good and a cool atmosphere. I ordered the brisket and didn't love the rub. There was some heat to it and I've always felt brisket rub should enhance the flavor of the beef, not cover it up. Also it was a bit dry, though the thick slices were a positive. My wife ordered the pulled pork and it, too, was a bit dry. The sides were all tasty.
Ribs were tough. Mac and cheese was like soup and tasteless. Burnt ends were delicious.
Good food and good service
Dig the atmosphere and the food is pretty good too. Very Independence vibes both in a trashy way and a classy way. If you ever eat here and from the area, you know what I'm talking about. On Fridays when the weather isn't cold, the have live bands play which is a cool little feature that I'm gonna go back and enjoy.
Really a nice little place to get BBQ. loved there burnt end, cheese corn and great mac and cheese. We also had BBQ bacon for an appetizer really outstanding.
To me it's the best bbq around love the food the sauce the atmosphere. And the employees are always nice so is the owner..
We have lived in the KC area for 3 years, and I'm sad I just now discovered this gem! We were craving BBQ after visiting the Truman museum and found this on maps. Great prices, a ton of food, fun atmosphere, wonderful service, and delicious food! We will definitely drive out of our way to eat here again!
This is KC BBQ. Food is great and will keep you coming back. The place wil have you bringing your friends. If you cannot tell by the name there is a car theme. Whether its the bar made from a car or the dioramas at the high tables, you will find neat details everywhere. On the weekends they have a small stage outback.
Really great brisket. Good prices for what they provide.
Mmmm... bacon chips.....brisket wontons....never disappointed
It definitely does it's own thing. Third visit and I would like to love this place but it is inconsistent with flavor and spice level. Just had the spicy sausage this trip as it was my favorite , but it was spicier than last time and over the heat all I could taste was file' seasoning. Don't they have a recipe for consistency or are they throwing whatever strikes them in the moment? Then there's the wait staff. "Wait" is the right word because if you are not a single Neanderthal man you are going to wait until there are no more of them needing taken care of before someone can get around to taking your order. Men who arrived after we had been seated had eaten and were leaving by the time our food was being delivered.
Very nice atmosphere, wonderful service. Meat is cut a little thick for my taste, but flavor was great. Especially the bark that was on my burnt ends, the rub they use is fantastic. Also the ghost chili bbq sauce was to die for.
Recently had them cater my wedding. Very competitive prices and excellent food. The food was delivered at exactly the time requested, and really helped things run smoothly for a big event. Really professional service and they handled it all perfectly. I can't recommend them highly enough. 5 stars all the way around!
My first time! Had burnt ends and Jameson. INCREDIBLE!! The staff is amazing and sweet as molasses! Come on down!
Great place, good bbq, service was a little lacking, our waitress forgot to order our appetizers before our meal, our meal its self took 30minutes to come out. But all in all a good place. The atmosphere is awesome, lots old cars and nick nacs, license plates and such.
Our first time eating here and we were pleasantly surprised. You get a lot of food for the price. Burnt ends and ribs are fantastic! We took the bacon chips home and put them in the refrigerator...they were so good eating cold the next day. Fast service and a cool environment. Wish we would have found this place sooner!
The place is good if you dont want travel to other places. Not to say the food quality is poor, but a but pricey for the local.
Very eclectic place with lots of memorabilia all around. Food was decent and service was good. I am not a big fan of BBQ, but others wanted to try it.
Excellent food!!!! and great atmosphere. I loved the old cars and memorabilia. Service was also excellent.
Very good food. We ordered the meatloaf sandwich and baby back ribs. Loved everuthing but the cole slaw which was a minor thing
Love the food....Especially the barbeque wonton wrap...they are AMAZING
It was a good place to eat, had fun here and the food was delicious.
Awesome BBQ an service very friendly. Enjoyed the whole dining experience.
Got pulled pork and burnt ends and a side of baked beans. All were delicious and very fairly priced. We'll be going back!
Dined at this restaurant with my family of 4, horrible service. It took the waitress a half hour to acknowledge we were there. It took 15 minutes to get our drinks. Never once saw a manager.
Food is always fantastic and GREAT service!! We were here during the Sunday afternoon open jam on the deck. The music was really awesome :)
My favorite BBQ place in all of Kansas City. The food and service are phenomenal. I love the atmosphere here.
Good atmosphere. Foods ok. No arther Bryant's lol. Fun place to hear live music
Damn! I thought A Little BBQ Joint, was delicious. Almost put me in a meat coma because the portions were very hearty. The sandwiches are a meal in itself the ribs and brisket on point. Mmmmmmm
Good food nice people
This is my favorite bbq in the city - it's not as vinegary as other places. We've gotten takeout for parties from here, catered at work from here, and done everything except eat in, but every time everything has been delicious and setting up orders has been a breeze - even at the last minute!
The food was great, the atmosphere even better, and the live music on the deck, the absolute best. A great time all around. I would highly recommend!
Their were too busy to greet me. Too busy to give me a menu. Too busy to take my order. I walked. I Can be ignored at any Mcdonalds in town. Just sorry I drove 15 min out of my way to go there.
Really good ribs. We will be back next time we are in Independence Missouri.
Best BBQ around. The staff is awesome, the bathrooms are always clean.
I really like the place, but last time I went our waitress had a bit of an attitude fair enough maybe just a bad day but the food seemed to have lost a little something from previous times I've eaten here. Will try again tho.
Good place to eat... Cheesy corn is the best
The food is outstanding, the staff is so nice and knowledgeable. The deco is really awesome. My fav bbq joint.
Very good food!! Great fast and friendly service!
Great experience! This place had a lot of unique style and personality. It's what you might call a dive but the food is good, atmosphere is cool, people are interesting. A little too dimly lit for my testes but otherwise awesome.
Nice place good music on Friday night
A really fun place! Love the unique old garage style [guess thats what it once was] The severs are really nice and interact as if they are glad to be there. Let me say up front, BBQ is not my thing but there are enough other choices to make everyone happy.
Great Ribs and brisket chili! I'd come back. Make it a stop before any zombie apocalypse!
Great food. Excellent service. Good prices
Our waitress was amazing. I love looking at everything, and there is a lot to look at while you're eating. I was disappointed in some of my burnt ends, as in, they were just pieces of fat, Yuck. But the sides and sauces were good.
Have eaten here many, many, many times in the last few years, always forget that online reviews are a thing... I don't know what to say to describe this place. The food is amazing, the staff is wonderful, the decor is just pure fun... in the booths you sit on old bench seats from cars, the bar is a late 60's Impala/Caprice/Biscayne, there are soap box racers hanging from the ceiling, model cars everywhere. It used to be an old Autoshop and they have thoroughly embraced the history, as well as added a lot of local flair. The bands during the summer on the patio are awesome... I can't say enough good things about the food, I'm picky about my BBQ (my wife will attest to it) and this has become one of my favorite local go to places. in case you have any doubts about trying this place, take these two words to heart - BACON CHIPS!
The food is excellent, every time. The ambiance is great, and it has a back patio to sit and enjoy music with your food, and really terrific servers. Hint: for a great appetizer, try the bacon chips. They are to die for!
There food is fire!! They have this awesome barbeque bacon pieces so good!! U must try them!! Awesome for bacon lovers!!
Gotta get the brisket melt. I would definitely recommend a little bbq joint to anyone wanting bbq.
Played as part of the evening entertainment, the late fees. Gotta say these guys really know what they're doing. I'm a huge brisket and burnt ends kind of BBQ fan and these guys do it so right. Some of the best I've had in a long time. Can't wait to check out the brisket chili next. Can't even imagine what kind of food paradise that'll be!
First time here, had some burnt ends that were awesome. Potato salad is delicious and pea salad was really good as well. Service was great. Will be back soon.
Great meats. Mac n cheese was decent.
I was brought this really small condiment cup with the sauce. I sort of chuckled that it was so small but I could see the peppers floating in the sauce and was thinking it would be very spicy (but it was not for me). I think my definition of spicy and their definition is a bit different. There was definitely some spicy flavor but no real bite I was looking for.
Great place! Senior pulled pork just the right size and tasty. Retro car seats very comfy. Great service. Moderate noise level for great conversion with friends, even with live blues on the patio.
Bacon chips are a must! Ribs were good, the fries are excellent, hot potato salad fantastic! The place is very cool as well great waitresses also. The people saying the food is bland or not seasoned are not people who appreciate good bbq they are used to over rubbed over seasoned food a little salt and pepper if needed and a tad bit of sauce puts it where ya want it. Again one of the better places I've been, I'm from St. Louis we have some great joints there. I just ate at 2 places (big names) this place is right there with them.
This place is amazing. Rocked my socks off. Coming from Idaho and Utah this was the best BBQ I have ever had. And the hot potato salad is amazing. The burnt ends and brisket. To die for!!!! 100/10 and the customer service is just as good as the food. Mechelle was our waitress and she took care of us! I mean really took care of us. The atmosphere here was nothing like what I was expecting. If I ever come back to the area. I will come eat here again.
Unique atmosphere and great food!
Perfect hole in the wall type of joint. Friendly, good portion sizes, good value for the price. And most importantly, get the bacon appetizer!
Delicious I will becoming back and the service was very nice and helpful I loved it!
I really like this place. I should have stopped in here a long time ago I passed it all the time but I never stopped. Well I was impressed the inside of the place. the decor is pretty cool and I love the fact that they give you like three or four different BBQ sauces on your table so you can just take what you want or you can try all of them I like that. the people that work there were really cool, very nice and I will definitely be back.
I love the laid back atmosphere and super friendly service. The barbecue is smoky and delicious. I love the choices of three different barbecue sauces. It’s just an all around great place to eat!
Bacon chips and bacon dessert! I love pork! Cozy. Friendly, fast, clean. Nostalgic. Family place. Location x 3! I'm impressed
They always have amazing and quick service when I go. I've tried several different menu items and I'm never disappointed. I always recommend this place to people I know. Truly my favorite bbq place in the area. Thank you!
Great food and music lousy service
Ordered 2 one-half pounds burnt ends, 2 sides(fries, coleslaw) and 6 rib appetizer same as 40.00. Smelled great on way home, Got home, smell better than tasted.Burnt ends not smoky tasted like roast beef, drowned them in sauce which is the best thing about the meal! Coleslaw had no dressing at all disgusting! I suppose LBJ would do again if it's the only choice, no honestly don't think so!
Great place. Drove by it and never had time to stop. That was my mistake. Excellent atsmosphere and staff friendly. Was upset my 1/2 pound of burnt ends was 1/4 at best. Until i tasted it. Wow. Im like Jack Spratt could eatno fat, even the fat was delicious on burnt ends. All in all i have to go back for the live music and outdoor deck. Would put them in my top bbq places in KC.
We went there today. Mar 29 2019. The food was amazing. Spent half of what we spent at Q39 not to mention it was 10x better than Q39. I recommend going here if u want a family oriented atmosphere and not pay an arm and a leg.
Amazing food. Amazing people. Had a great date there. Some of the best bbq I’ve ever had and we only paid about 30 dollars for 2 fantastic and filling meals. Highly recommended!!
Good BBQ. I had burnt ends.
Good food, decent service and band, we had a great time for date night
Good bbq, and a nice restuarant
The best BBQ place you haven't heard of. Everyone knows all the famous K.C. BBQ joints, and they are great. But this place is just better if you ask me. It's just different, with a small neighborhood feel to it. The portion sizes are big, and you won't leave hungry. And in the summer time, they have a big patio/deck area that has live music if you are into that too.
Food was just ok, has been much better in the past!
Loved it. That chili was Awesome.
We have found the BEST BBQ in Kansas City! We stopped by here during a house hunting trip for lunch and fell in love. The fries were the best I've had. I usually won't eat them, but I cleaned my plate. We had the Tuesday lunch special, pulled pork sandwiches and walked away stuffed without spending much. The Sweet Sister sauce is a perfect compliment to the smokey flavor of the meat. Delectable all around. The atmosphere and wait staff were all big pluses. There is no better place for BBQ around, and we will be regulars.
Great food. Great service. Really cool place. Loved it!
42 BBQs down, 31 to go!
Huge portions and the best cheesy corn!
I order from this place every couple of months and my food is always good. Except for 1 time when I ordered the chicken and it was dry and rubbery like it had been sitting and microwaved. I know even the best places can have an off day so I would still recommend this restaurant. The beans are delicious. You get large portions that will fill you up and for a good price.
Everything made from scratch, wouldn't be surprised if they grew the cattle too(just kidding)! Place was packed, but for good reason, can't wait to come back for more!
First time there, I stopped in to carry out dinner. Staff was very friendly, food was ready quickly. Burnt ends were tender and delicious. Was worried that sauce was thin, but it was the right mix of sweet smokey and vinegary. Will definitely be back.
Loved deck. Staff and food great. We will be back.
Perhaps "spicy" means something else to me, but when I hear that word I'm expecting something that will burn my mouth...at least a little bit. It doesn't have to permanently scar my taste buds or make my head sweat, but I do expect to know I'm eating something that has some spice in it. If you're like me this will not scratch that itch. "Spicy" it is not (even a bit) , even if the description says otherwise. But the burnt ends were good (albeit a bit dry) which is what I came for. I just wanted to dip my fries in a little bit of liquid hell. Just make sure you ask for Paege - she has great service with a smile down pat. Without her this is only a 3 star review.
Went on a Thursday night, service was great, slaw is an interesting mix of veggies which I liked, the beans were awesome, but... the burnt ends were inedible. Oversalted and completely burned to little chunks of rock hard meat. I was a bit mortified because I had taken company from California there after bragging about our city’s burnt ends. The next day I took my company to a different bbq place and we were served the some of the most glorious burnt ends this city has to offer. I redeemed myself but I won’t be going back to this place for the good service and beans because burnt ends are always what I order.
Well prepared and unique bbq selection.
Loved the brisket. Not a fan of the burnt ends. Interesting place. Would like to sit on patio with live music. Haven't had the opportunity.
Food was great, server was friendly. Burnt ends were extra salty, but everything else was great. I didn't care for the sauces, but good meat doesn't need sauce. Will be back.
Just not impressed. I live and work in this area. And yes I love the atmosphere of A Little BBQ Joint. But the last few times I have eaten there it has left something to be desired. We ordered carryout for lunch today and only (2) out of the (8) orders that were received were correct. For our manager, that was trying to treat his crew out of his own pocket, this was extremely disappointing. I have to say after a few bad experiences I will deter people that are visiting our company from eating there.
The atmosphere was cool, the booths were truck bench seats, with car decor/memorabilia everywhere. The food was delivered to our table quickly, and was delicious. Some of the best brisket I've had, and the sides were also quite tasty. Would go back for sure.
Great food cool place
Good barbecue, fun decor, good live music, good service.
Good little bbq spot, they have daily specials but I love that meatloaf sandwich, definitely recommend this place
Burnt ends platter was a little underwhelming. Some of the ends were melt in your mouth while others were chewy. The rub was very punchy, which is great in general, but sometimes just an unwelcome salt bomb (depending on whether you get more meat or or rub in an end). That being said, I thought the sauces and sides were solid. The baked beans were excellent. This place is near my parent's home, so I think I'll stop by again next time I'm in town and try out the ribs, which seem to be what everyone else is recommending here.
Very good food, and good portion sizes
Really good bbq. Very relaxing environment. Just sit back and enjoy the food with your friends and family. Price is even with most BBQ joints beer is cold and 3 types of house sauce. The burnt ends were so good. I forgot to save my wife some. So good.
I had the burnt end platter and the meat was tender and had a good flavor. The hot potato salad was the standout side for me. I did get to taste an onion ring and it was great too
Great bbq ! The burnt ends were amazing and the portion size was huge !
Great chicken and sauces. Enjoyed talking with pit master.
I looooved the bbq here! So much flavor and great service. Definitely recommend this place.
Father's Day dinner with our twin granddaughters, age 8. One twin loves the fries! I love the burnt ends. Papa loves ribs.
Great food at a great price friendly and fast service!
My husband and I, went there for the first time tonight. We were greeted when we walked in. Our waitress was wonderful, very nice and polite! Very comfortable, laid back atmosphere. I had ribs, cheesy corn, and Cole slaw. My husband had the brisket, Turkey, and fried. The food was excellent! The ribs were awesome, and the cheesy corn is to die for (it was so good)! My husband loved his meal! The portions are well worth the money. Our favorite sauce there was called the mean mother-in-law. We will definitely be back.
“Da Bomb” is the best bbq sandwich I’ve ever had. This place is amazing!
The whole aura of this place is great. So is the food!
Ribs are delicious. Brisket was good.
Wonderful food and fun atmosphere.
Great food and wonderful, courteous staff. The pea salad is absolutely delicious as is the meatloaf sandwich. The fries and potato salad were also delicious and we loved the ambience and decore. I definitely recommend this wonderful restaurant. We are definitely returning for more of their yummy food.
Freakin delicious!! Great ribs and BBQ sauce! Burnt ends we're so tender!
My husband and I both had the smoked meatloaf and it was FANTASTIC we are from TN and stopped here for the night and wanted to try some real kc bbq and this was it!!! I definitely recommend the bacon chips for an app and u HAVE to save room for the fried pie!!! We will be stopping here again
Fantastic food! Cheesy Corn the bomb. Fun atmosphere!!!
Way to much cigarette smoke! Food was good, but not great. Will try to eat inside if we go again!
Great food with big portions, reasonable prices, and fun vibe!
Just ate here for the first time, I look over ratings and reviews before eating anywhere and this place looked very well. Overall the staff was awesome, place was extremely busy, we had our drinks within 5 minutes and after ordering had our food within 10. That’s a A+ but in my opinion the meat could of had more flavor. I ordered a dinner plate (chicken, 3 ribs, two sides and bread I got baked beans, and cheesy corn.) the chicken was very good but the ribs not so much, fairly tender but no flavor without adding sauce. Baked beans were great but the cheesy corn was not. Now for a $15.99 meal I would expect to get a whole piece of bread not just half a slice. My friend ordered a pulled pork sandwich and said it was very plain no seasoning and was displeased with it. Staff was great and the owner even came around thinking every single person for eating there. That’s hard customer service to find. If they step up the flavor in the meat I’d easily give 5 stars! Not the best but not to bad either but it is pricey.
Very good food! Delicious BBQ sauces! Fun environment and decor
The waitresses are so sweet and attentive! The food was PHENOMENAL. Absolutely love this place!
Nice little hole in the wall place. Try the spicy sauce called "Angry mother in law". Clean place, won't need a tetanus shot.
Love this place! It is fantastic! The food is so delicious! So much better than other big chains around!
Love the food and the waitress are always happy and friendly. The owner takes time to check on his customers to make sure their happy. Great place
Awesome vibe in the his place but I found the brisket to be just so-so with zero smoke on it. Tasted like it was parboiled. Pulled pork was better. .. sides were meh. All vinegar based sauces ..There are way better places to get your BBQ than this
Fun little bbq joint. Unassuming but great food!
I love the atmosphere and the attitudes of all the employees! The food is always great and fresh! I highly recommend this joint..best bbq
For Independence, it's the best BBQ place in town. Best prices for the food--quality AND quantity (I can't usually finish a whole meal in one sitting). Most other BBQ places in IndepMO are too expensive for what you get or just don't have the quality of meat. This place has some great quality ribs and their hot potato salad is fantastic.Burnt ends are hit and miss--some are tough and some are super soft, even in the same batch. They have three unique BBQ sauces, which for me is a really important part of the BBQ Joint experience. Overall, if you're planning to stay in Independence for BBQ, this is your best bet.
Great food, great service, great atmosphere!
Just so-so. I've definitely had better BBQ. We ordered the 1/4 chicken and the Wednesday special "ka-boom," which is a kabob. Meat had a decent smoky flavor, but was dry.
I love this place friendly people and good service and food
Always a laid back place. Relatively quick on meal prep. Affordable.
We got the special for today which was the rack of ribs. We ordered a appetizer but she forgot it. Food was good. I would skip the cheesy corn though.
