Good food....great atmosphere! Til ya pay the bill....I was charged for drinks I didn't buy and management did nothing about it. I guess when they have concerts that draw big crowds they need to be better staffed and pay attention to to the customers and who's bill they are adding other people's drinks to. Won't go back

I have eaten here on multiple occasions and the food has always been fantastic. Large portions and friendly staff. It's definitely a place I recommend to everyone traveling through the area. Wont find better BBQ anywhere else. Ron Swanson would approve!

Came for the Jimmy Herring show, excellent!! "Ticket booth" was a little confusing. Decent smaller venue, limited sightlines. I don't know how long this place has been open but could use a little TLC. (most chairs were pretty torn up, broken stuff in restroom, etc.) Tried the pulled pork sandwich with mac & cheese. Overloaded sandwich, not much smoke flavor. Carolina sauce was tasty!

Price on the poster on the door for the band was $5 per person, when you actually went in to pay, it was suddenly $10 per person. Band was great, but only played less than two hours with multiple breaks. One of the bartenders upstairs appear intoxicated, and was tripping over things. There were kids running around outside and back by the kitchen for a 21 and up show which we were told by an employee were another employee's kids. Maybe it was a bad night, but it definitely left a bad first impression. Food was ok though.

Pulled pork is awesome. They ran out of tenderloins and would not prepare one, though we were literally one of three tables there and willing to wait. Added gratuity to bill of 5 adult and one small child, though menu says it would be added to groups of 8 or more. Waitress was curt.

I went several times to the old wildwood it was amazing..... the new owners suck. Mix drink $6.50 beer bottles $4.00 had to wait 10 minutes to get a drink at the bar that nobody was at because the bar tender was too busy trying to get laid. Piss poor service Prices too high. Doubt we will be back.

Cool building. Chandelier looked odd in there but cool. Best service! Brought my two young kids in for dinner last night. No entertainment for kids like a draw on kids menu. But my server Samantha was great! She even ran! To help my daughter push the bathroom door open, and waited on the outside to open the heavy door for her again. She also stopped to joke with us several times keeping my kids entertained and waiting for her to walk past to tell her another story. Very helpful with picking their dinner and mine. Wildwood dinner for the win, try everything I wanted to! Great bbq, pork burnt ends definitely my favorite! Highly recommended for good bbq and a kid friendly staff!

The food was ok, a bit expensive but not terrible. The service is what killed it for me. Samantha K was rude and a great reason for us not to return. She made a big deal about me using the happy hour a couple minutes before it expired, only came by the table once, and brought us the check without us asking for it and before we were even close to to bring done eating. We were going to stay for a few drinks but she made us feel really unwelcome. Didn't say thank you or any of the polite things waiters/waitresses say. If I come back, I'll make sure to stay out of her section just to see what a good time there actually feels like.

Me and my brother were walking the highway in 94 degree weather, we found this place and went in dripping sweat with only $8 to our name. The waitress was sweet as can be and the cook offered us a couple meals. I will definitely be coming back once I'm on my feet and I highly recommend it, the food is delicious and the service is amazing!

I ordered food to be delivered, using the “Chomp” app on my phone. It got a two meat meal with some extra sides. The smoked chicken was delicious. They served a generous pile of white meat that was moist. When I tasted the beef brisket, I had to sit back in my chair, close my eyes and savor! The little bit of fat just melts! The baked beans don’t know where store bought comes from. They have the flavor of the grill with bits of the meat stirred in. Excellent! The hearty potato salad stand right next to the baked beans, sayin’, store bought? What’s that? I’ve never had a creamed corn bite before today. These little bites were creamy, sweet and just a little addictive. And the corn bread muffin was the perfect desert for me. Every bite sweet and moist, I still want more! Thanks for a meal I’ll be thinkin‘ about for a while. I’ll be back soon to try the ribs, get more of the sides and finish again with the best cornbread muffin I can imagine.

I went here one year ago after moving from Texas. Disappointed would have been a two star rating. What i remember, the brisket was awful. The waitress told us that it was an off night and she and the manager stood behind their food. Tonight was disgusting. What they did to the meats made me send it back. Again, they stand behind their food. Corn bread was okay, but no honey. No refund, no apology, and a 30 minute wait to pay our bill. After

Poor planning leads to poor service. We attended their swing night (unknowingly) but paid the $10 cover. Went upstairs and got our drinks and ordered dinner. After abour 30 minutes, I asked the waitress if our meals were close, she shrugged and said she hadn't been downstairs yet. I walked down and saw my sandwich and one of our party's salad waiting at the window. I went upstairs and saw the waitress go down. She returned empty-handed. After waiting another 10 or 15 minutes, I walked downstairs and saw that our food had made it to a serving tray. And was still waiting. Bottom line: our food was cold. I sent mine back as did our friend with the buffalo chicke n salad. Very disappointed.

Have eaten here several times since they have reopened. Bbq is always on point. Today however I stopped in on a new quest. As I am in search of the perfect tenderloin. I heard the one at Wildwood was delicious. Knowing how good the bbq is. It was very hard for me to order something different. Ordered Tenderloin and tots after lots of debating inside my head. The instant it arrived to the table I had a smile on my face. Looked amazing. Tots were perfectly seasoned and the Tenderloin itself was thicker than your average tenderloin. This in it of itself is something that just speaks of the quality of the food. Its actually made there, and not at a factory. Then dipped into the fryer. Walked out the doors with a smile still on my face. Oh and a Wildwood platter to go. Lol. Like I said the bbq is on point.

The environment was fun, the food was ok. Our table had terrible service. It was not busy while we were there. We had a table of 9, and it took almost 45 min before the waitress even came to take our orders. My husband and I had asked her 3 different times for our drinks and they were never brought to us. And to top it off each one of us was charged with an 18% gratuity. We were aware it states that a party of 6 or more would be charged this. But was not aware that each individual would get hit with this. We felt for the crappy service that that was a slap in the face . Doubtful any of us will be back!

I was with a group of 40 for a business dinner. We had reserved a large section of the top floor. The restaurant was understaffed. Our server/bartender was working the entire floor, our group plus eight or so 4-top tables, by herself. No one else was there to assist. It was only her 6th day on the job. When people began to complain, the management tried to blame her for the poor service. Our server was exceptional, but the management failed. My food was great. Others did not receive theirs. I slipped our server an extra tip in addition to the automatic 18%. Hopefully, she was able to keep it for herself and did not have to share with the people who were not helping her. I imagine that in a small group the service would be much better, but I doubt I'll take the chance.

By far the best barbeque I have had since moving to the area. So glad to have found this place. Great sides; the Mac and cheese was sooo good, I can't wait to go back. 2 people in my group had the brisket which they said was good, 1 had the tenderloin which was huge! My son got the ribs that were the meatiest ribs I have seen in a restaurant. Will definitely be returning!

Great ribs!! Got there about noon and ordered. It's quiet that time of day, so there was no waiting. The Rib dinner seemed a bit expensive at $18.00, but they brought me enough to last three meals! The Ribs were excellent and the potato salad and coleslaw were both just as good. Next time I'm hungry for ribs, I'm heading back there!

A must step-in for those who want to have great drink, great fun, great food. Ask for the red-haired bar tender (Mondays happy hour, or whenever she's there) to make you a chilled Pincho Martinis. It tastes like you just bite into a fresh-white- fleshed peach on a summer day kinda thing - only that you're sipping it ;)Staff are super awesome too. I'll be back for more, that's for sure.

Dancing, bbq and some live musical performances too. They have a bar and wait services at the tables. Booths are not real comfortable (no cushions). The food I had here was good. If you or your friends are into dancing than it can be a lot of fun. Also is a good place just for food too if you want bbq on the east side of Iowa City
