Stopped for breakfast. Took a while for order to come out (breakfast), but was worth the wait. Would not order sausage again (fatty). I generally don't order eggs because they never come out as I like them. Perfect! In DESPERATE need of remodel. Bathroom smelly probably due to moldy vanity. Would have given 5 stars if not for need of remodel.

Quaint little place :) If you're tired of big city places with no character, go here. The inside of this place was old fashioned, typical mom and pop type of restaurant. The food was great, my husband and ordered burgers, soup and fries. All delicious :) the pricing was wonderful, a few dollars less than other big name burger joints. Wonderful place, wonderful food.

Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I ordered a blt with tots. The bacon was so crispy it could have broke my tooth. The tots were burnt. The service was not friendly and just an overall bad experience.

Don't be fooled. This place looks nothing like its website. The hard boiled egg on my salad was so old it was grey. My advice, keep driving and seek a restaurant down the road.

One of the worst restaurants tried to eat. I ordered a 2 pcs. grilled chicken breast dinner and got fried chicken. The waitress was extremely unfriendly. I did't eat the dinner and she still charged me full price without any apologies. Wow, I can't even find any words. The one star is even way too much for this restaurant.

Nice little joint with ok food. They have a great lunchbox collection that took me back! Had the fried walleye. It was ok. Prolly better broiled since the batter was kinda salty. Hubby had the beef sandwich which was covered in gravy. Was ok but the gravy was salty too.

This place was unexpectedly good and a value. I had the fried walleye special which included potato, soup, and salad bar for only $8.99. It is a good choice if you're looking for a departure from the typical chain restaurant experience near a truck stop.

We liked it. Food is tasty and simple American fare. Service isn't always super awesome, but the servers are nice. Prices are fair. Decor is outdated and kitschy, but who cares? If you're in western Iowa and need a good meal, I recommend The Embers Restaurant.

Awesome collection of tractors and memorabilia. I was able to thoroughly photograph a model that I am restoring. Able to walk all around to see from all directions. The staff and owner are very knowledgable about all of the models and very friendly.

Good food. Great prices. Friendly staff. But our waitress was very old and took way too many trips to get our order and then bring the complete order. We had to ask for the bill and missing items. But I think it's just related to the one waitress being so old. I suspect she is the owner. The low rating is for having to get up so many times.
