At present the business receives a score of 4.3 out of 5 and the rating has been calculated on 70 reviews.

You may have noticed that its rating is positive, and it is based on a very large number of feddbacks, so we can conclude that the rating is quite credible. If there are many people who bothered to give their feddback when they've done well, is that it works.

You know that we don't usually stop to set reviews when these are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...

We stopped for breakfast after landing at Eastern Iowa Airport. We picked it for location and the student element intrigued us. Our omelettes were great.

Yolanda K Parker

We enjoyed the setting, sharing different beautifully presented dishes, and the service was excellent.

Chris Denman

Very nice atmosphere, doesn't feel like a school at all. Menu was a bit sofisticated for me. I prefer more of the "traditional" meat and potato dishes. Have not returned only because I didn't find anything really appealing on the menu, any of the times I visited

Katie Casarez

The food was amazing! The service was great! We really enjoyed our dinner here. It's a little pricey, but worth it. Very beautiful facility also.

Nicole King

Went for dinner with friends. The food was what you would expect....and the service was slow. They did not seem very busy and the lights were too low.

Jennifer Coleman

“Totally Amazing” Stopped here for brunch. Looking for something different. We were BLOWN AWAY at how delicious EVERYTHING was! We started with a half order of beingettes. They came out hot & fresh...so yummy!

With their tailored selection, the chefs have been able to fine tune each dish making them beyond delectable. That and the elegant and professional atmosphere have made my fiancé and me go four times in the last month.

I am staying at the hotel for a week on business. I was initially very impressed by the facility and service. After being taken out to dinner by coworkers last night, I was looking forward to checking out The Class Act restaurant for dinner. I arrived back at the hotel at 6:30 p.m. and walked straight into the restaurant where a very nice gentleman expained to me that they had no seating for one person at the rurestaurant all evening because it was their special World culinary Tour event night. However, he stated that singles could be served the full menu at the bar and the three tables located directly outside of the bar. Two people were sitting at the bar and the three tables were empty. I sat down at one of the tables and proceeded to wait... and wait ... and wait ... I never saw anyone behind the bar, and after over 30 minutes I walked back to the restaurant and asked if anyone was serving in that area. The gentleman went and checked and came back and said "he's behind the bar." When I asked if I needed to order at the bar, he said "no, I'll send him out." It was a big mistake to stay, but I was very hungry after a long day working. The "service" was indifferent/aloof throughout. I started with the house salad, which was very good. However my knife was taken away before the short ribs were served and by the time the bartender returned to the bar (he never came back to the table) and I got a knife, they were cold and tough. To his credit, which resulted in a one star rating being increased to two, when the bartender returned with my check he finally asked how everything was (apparently not noticing that I only took one bite). I said "not good" to which he replied "I'll take care of that." He returned with the desert menu and offered me a complimentary dessert. I looked at the menu, and since they had my favorite, creme brulee, I ordered that. It was fine, but I really wish I had a car (there is NOTHING nearby) and had left and had an actual dinner.

Randy Reynolds

Excellent, not the usual, food and service.

It's fine dinning chefs in training and they are making some awesome food. They are working with good ingredients and coming up with tasty dishes. My first time, the components tasted and execution of the meals were A+. Second time, the execution wasn't all there but still tasty, A-. Prices are good and the atmosphere was great. If l lived near by, I would visit frequently to try everything and see what else they have come up with. I had no idea I would find this kind of culinary delight on the outskirts of Cedar Rapids, IA

We dined here for Mother's Day. We had a large party (16) Understand the difficulty of serving such a large party, however, if it is beyond the realm of good service, feel they should have advised us of the difficulty. Our server (yup singular) worked his butt off but clearly was over whelmed. It took a full 90 minutes till we got our food. Food quality was C- at best! Eggs overdone, others French fries were dead cold. Up charged $1.00 for (spicy) Bloody Mary. If this is truly a culinary arts program needs, a lot of work. Then the bill! 5 star prices 2 Star food!

Awesome Show! Between TJ and me we have seen so many weddings and our first choice was Class Act. In fact we had been at dozens of events they have done so it was a not brainer for us who to have on our special day. We had them drive all the way up to our event three hours away but it was worth it. The planning was easy and fun in fact we had dinner while doing the planning with Class Act. They really know how to treat you right. We talked to the party planner and planned the whole ceremony and reception in one meeting. It was so nice to know that there would be continuity at the event. The person that planned the event was actually at the event coordinating the activities. So we planned the ceremony, dinner and dance. Class Act provided the Wedding Officiant with DJ and PA system for our outdoor wedding and a larger system was set up inside for the dinner and dance. Class Act kept the guests engaged and we all laughed a lot during dinner it was so much fun. The two guys from Class Act were amazing. They kept the party going all night. There were always people on the dance floor. They were great to work with and had an idea for everything. They aren't your typical DJ Company, they don't work off of a computer and just stand behind the booth the whole time, the MC goes around the room talking to everyone and the DJ will come out lead dances at times. They are high energy and we had a good time. We are so incredibly happy with how everything turned out. Thank You!!! Anna and TJ

Birthday dinner at Biaggi's we both had the lasagna dinner and the soup of the day was chicken and vegetables potato and all was excellent and the lasagna is like cake! The Lemon cheesecake is phenomenal. Service very good.

Terrible experience for $100!! We were celebrating our 15th Anniversary and thought we'd try The Class Act and boy was that a mistake!! Food was weird only 5 choices and our waiter only offered us one drink. He also made rude comments that he thought we ate too much too fast!! The dinner I had was gross!! Lobster goat cheese ravioli is yuck!! Don't waste your time and money going there!!

Paul DuBois

Always a great experience. Dinner and lunch are phenomenal, and the menu is regularly updated. You MUST try Saturday and Sunday brunch! The staff and servers are always kind, accommodating, and attentive!

Joel Powell

Was starving while I had long wait until my flight. Entered the restaurant and was impressed by how nice it was. However, the porkloin sandwich was flat as could be and very overcooked. The soup was cold. Normally would have told them forget it, but the new, young server was so nice, I couldn't bear to do so...

Lauren Rogers

Great atmosphere, fresh and beautiful sandwiches and desserts, and our waiter, Stephen, was awesome. I've never been offered a to-go pop before, very cool!

Great accidental find! My favorite thing, pina colada tart! The chicken sandwich I had was good- the blackened grill marks on the chicken breast left a slight charred taste which took away from the sandwich but everything else was exquisite. The hotel it's in is beyond beautiful.

Monique Wood

Everything was prepared with love. Creative plating. I stayed at the hotel and had breakfast and dinner through the eresturant. Everything was delicious and a very reasonable price. Had dinner on a weekend night. Not crowded. A little off the neaten path. Attentive staff work very hard because this is a teaching facility. We opted for hamburgers. Huge if you add the bacon and toppings. Very tasty. They care about the ingredients.

Inzer CG

This place never disappoints. They use quality ingredients and the menu is always changing featuring delicious entrees and creative lunch items. The atmosphere is pleasing and the staff is always attentive. A must try and enjoy yourself.

The food was excellent! Someone made a mistake and forgot to take our order, but the manager went above and beyond to make everything right, and in the end we had a great time.

Brett K

A thoroughly enjoyable dining experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely outstanding. I highly recommend the Duck on Risotto. The staff were attentive, pleasant and knowledgable about the menu. This is fine dining in an upscale, but unpretentious atmosphere. It's a bit on the pricey side but all things taken as a whole, it was well worth it.

Darius Koenig

I can't say enough good things about my dining experience at The Class Act. Don't be put off that this is a student-run operation; from the moment we were greeted by the receptionist to when we left service was impeccable, with everyone exhibiting professionalism and genuine enthusiasm. It didn't stop with the service. The menu had the right balance between approachable food offerings for most palates with enough interesting twists for a culinary snob. Every single plate coming to the table was executed really well, and the Cote du Rhone wine special was wonderful and at a very reasonable price point. Overall, a truly enjoyable evening at all levels. A five-star experience all the way.

Connie Rollins

The place was good.I liked the ambiance. The food is amazing.

Linh Nguyen

Ordered the filet mignon and it was burnt on one side but overall the place is nice and good. Had to wait a half hour to be served as well tho. Dont know if it was worth the price

Just finished eating here for my husband's birthday. The food and service where excellant. I had the lobster ravioli and it was amazing. Highly recommend giving this place a try.

Run by Kirkwood Community College Culinary Arts students. Menu changes constantly as students are creating new dishes. Amazing for date nights.

angela johnson

Travelling and saw the reviews, so decided to check it out. The atmosphere seemed nice, but I was just grabbing food for take-out. To start, bacon wrapped dates wit balsamic reduction was smokey, savory, sweet, crisp & soft and just a great blend of flavors and textures.

Reinhand Josaiah Braceros

Hands down the best dinner I’ve had in Cedar Rapids. I highly recommend this gem of an establishment. My family came here for my brother’s post-graduation dinner and the restaurant was the perfect place for a celebratory meal—GREAT ambience and excellent service! Giving this two thumbs all the way up.

Don Hall

I was quite disappointed in my meal at The Class Act. To sum it up? Way too much salt!! I had to give up eating my potatoes. Even the cauliflower was too salty. Other members of our party also found their food overly salty. Very poor introduction on our first visit there.

Decade Dames

We stop at this place every time to Twin Cities. A hidden gem that is amazing!

Matt Simon

We had a group of about 18 people, the appetizers were probably the worst thing I have ever had, no one in the group would eat them after the first bite, it's like they focused more on making them look good than actually tasting good. The menu had very limited selection and from there the food wasn't great either, $38 for a steak you would think they could get that at least right. I would have to say the only good thing about this experience was the waiter knew what he was doing, too bad the food didn't match his service.

Eric McVey

Very nice restaurant. Student staff is very helpful and attentive. Be prepared for the food. It's very good but different than average

Nobe Crocker

My literal only complaint is it was so fancy I wasn't quite sure how to eat my food! So who knows if I did it right?! Right or wrong it was scrumptious! The wait staff was very helpful. If you decide to go with any of the seasonal dishes their served almost as tapas, it's suggested to order 2-3 a person or roughly 6 per 2 people. I ordered 3, I got the EGGPLANT POT DE CREME with charred berbere carrots/yogurt (his one was the hardest to eat, I am a clean eater and I made a total mess with this one... oops! It's a little on the peppery side but yummy none the less),

Andre Mueninghoff

The king trumpet mushroom skewers were amazingly delicious... The pairing with the grilled peaches was perfect, made certain a little of each was on each forkful, and with the puree... See photo revealing the peaches hiding beneath... Began cutting everything into smaller and smaller pieces to extend the experience... Topped off with an excellent cashew torte. A gem of a restaurant. Hats off to the students.

In my opinion this is the best fine dining restaurant in Cedar Rapids. I was surprised at some of the low star ratings. If there is EVER a problem with a dish just send it back! They will happily correct the problem. We have been enjoying the Passport dinners for several years and enjoying celebrating birthdays and other special events there. Always a pleasant experience.

This morning we came in for breakfast. We ordered at 9:15 and are food wasn't ready until 10:20. Very slow service, restaurant was only half full. Waitress did not apologize or acknowledge the delay and took very long to return our check.

Charles Andresen-Reed

I love Class Act; I worried a bit since I know the hotel and restaurant are a bit of a training environment for students, but in all honesty that's part of why its great- everyone is pretty on the ball, and the food is generally excellent. Occasionally some things are a bit fancy for my taste, but it definitely caters towards the business casual crowd so that's less a knock against it and more just something that is in line with the kind of restaurant it is.

Really great food and the staff is always fantastic.

Excellent food, wonderful atmosphere. A great place for a professionally prepared meal.

This is one of our favorite restaurants in town! We are picky because we love to travel and eat out at some pretty top notch places, but their lamb wellington is by far the best entrees you'll ever have. They also have some of the best cocktails in town. We love their smoky manhattan! The prices are high, but you get what you pay for. You wouldn't even know they're students. Everything from the food to the drinks to the service is amazing! It's sad, but impressive at the same time, that these students are blowing professionals out of the water!!! Now, if only they'd keep the lamb wellington on their menu permanently, we'd be 100% happy. Haha! ;)
