The food is always hot and fresh. It is southern cooking home style. The staff are fantastic and very friendly. The portions are generous. If you haven't eaten there you have done yourself a great injustice. You don't have to take my word for it , just ask around I think anyone who has been there will say the same.

When I say (as a serious foodie) "Words cannot describe the flavor, quality of food, menu options, and presentation of this amazingly deep soul food restaurant", I mean it in the absolute best of ways. I've been all over the county and this ranks among the top 5 absolute restaurants I've EVER had the pleasure to eat at. An absolute MUST try. Sunday brunch menu is to die for. Salmon Crouquets are I think my favorite dish on the menu but, I would strive, if I were you, to try it all. The staff is extremely helpful and the owner a complete perfectionist sweetheart.

SugaPeach is definitely a new favorite. The prices here can’t be beat and the chicken practically falls apart in your mouth. Their food is crazy flavorful and we had some of the best chicken and waffles and biscuits and gravy we’ve ever had. Everyone is super friendly and wants to make you feel at home. My favorite new place to go!!!!! If you like good home cooking.....if you've ever eaten flounder in North Carolina.....you will love this place!!!! The staff is so friendly, they welcome you with a smile and tell you to "Come Again" as you leave. My favorite is "The Teaser", 1 piece of flounder and 1 piece of chicken and 2 sides. My favorite sides....green beans and mac n'cheese! Yummy!!!! I've been twice now. The 1st time was on a Harley ride with 14 people and they took care of us. Today I took my Mom and Sister! I love it!!!!

The owner takes pride in her work. The food tastes great, the catfish is not muddy and the chicken is juicy. The best side we tried was the hush puppies. If she made brownies, which she only does on occasion, get those too they are crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle. Great place.

I hope the owner is open to constructive criticism as my experiences with Sugapeach gets less desirable with every trip there. The food itself is still delicious! My issue is with the declining customer service attentiveness, the availability of menu items, and the cost to portion ratio. Prices have increased which can be understandable -but some of the portions have decreased. I am getting half the portion of sweet potato fries I used to get. The single serve dishes are even smaller than they used to be. And they don't seem to be able to prep condiments and extras well. It's a 50/50 chance of getting ranch or their sweet dipping sauce on any given day. And they don't consistently have the dessert sides advertised. I understand if its made fresh daily.... but make them fresh daily. Have someone come in specifically for prepping and making these things daily prior to business rushes-desserts,dipping sauces, portioning sides for consistency if necessary. And I don't get the cornbread side included with the meal almost every time I go without reminding them. I would hate to see such a tasty and individual restaurant to the area flounder do to inconsistent service and menu items. I have high hopes that their service will improve to keep me coming back.

This place is great! The area was lacking this type of food, and fits perfect in North Lib. Not only is the food well priced and tastes great, but the service is incredible too. I was also impressed by how clean the resaurant is. This is an excellent environment for all people to come visit!

Holy fried fish! I am most definitely returning here again because their fish was absolutely magnificent. It was perfectly seasoned and fried just to the right degree. Literally the only regret I have is not ordering myself the larger menu option because it was so delicious the food disappeared right in front of my eyes. 10/10 will recommend to anyone looking for good fried fish.

Excellent food. Sugapeach takes pride in their cooking and well they should . I had catfish, mashed potatoes, coleslaw and Jonny Cake. Others had chicken, sweet potato fries, macaroni and cheese and enjoyed their selections. Everything was tasty and delicious. Enjoy Sugapeach's presentation of Soul Food ( greens, spaghetti were all there. You are treated as a guest. Enjoy.

The food was pretty food, but very light on the seasoning. Had to bring out salt, pepper, and hot sauce to get rid of the bland taste on mash potatoes. Also their sides are ridiculously small for the price! The greens were tasty and the peach cobbler was just cooked peach soup.

The only soul food place in North Liberty will not leave you disappointed. I always get the fried catfish, but I also recommend the green beans and mac and cheese. The decor is pleasing for a nice meal. The staff is friendly and accomodating. One of the newer spots in NL, definitely worth a visit.

Absolutely wonderful Southern food from a fellow Georgian. Carol, the owner, personifies hospitality and comfort food! She says that her menu varies with the seasons. I can't wait to return to Iowa City to visit our son near the holidays when fare includes cornbread dressing. Yum!

Being this is IOWA, i would have to say this is the best “soul food” restaurant I’ve had since moving from Georgia. I mean it’s better than Vivian’s in Cedar Rapids. Although they could be a little more generous with the sides, the Mac and cheese with collard greens were very well made. I wept for home savoring these sides. Will return again.

Not a franchise or chain, best fish east of the Rockies, portions more than expected, SUPER friendly staff, & was told, "1st visit you're guest's, next time you're FAMILY" 7pm last minute wanted to eat, asked google for nearby restaurants... the rest is history.

I’ve been here 3 times now. Each time I asked for chicken livers. Never have they had them. They tried to get me to like gizzards last time by giving me a sample, but that didn’t happen. I think the food is good and their service is too, but don’t put something on the menu and not have it. That is so disappointing. Also, this isn’t very kid friendly. On the TV it always has dancing with sexual displays that aren’t appropriate for my kids. I’m giving them a three since I’ve been 3 times and nothing has changed.

I've been there twice!! Wonderful service wonderful food wonderful ambiance, everyone that works in that restaurant treats you like you're the first customer and the only customer. The fish is moist tender and cooked to perfection the macaroni and cheese is better than I've ever eaten in my life!! The greens are unspeakably good. I have not tried the fried chicken because I'm not a big Fried Chicken fan. Highly recommended and I am a loyal customer for life.
