I've been to many buffets. This place wasn't as bad and tasted great. The food was nice and warm. The crisp of some of the food was the best I've had in a buffet. Sushi looked great and had a lot of varieties. Only thing I wasn't impressed was the chicken, kinda soggy and soft. Overall, pretty good

Came here once and my brother chewed on metal scrap from the soup he got. Owner gave us a $3 discount and we told her absolutely not we are not paying for his dinner. A little more than a year later I come in to try it again. We had a party of 4 for lunch, 1 was running behind. Owner comes up and tells us she will be charged for dinner. and I look at the time it was 3:30. and i asked what time does lunch end and she said it ends at 3:30. she literally was watching the clock to the exact second and came and embarrassed us. Miserable business.

Me and my fiance and daughter and granddaughter arrived to the restaurant@3:30 They first tried to charge us the dinner price when we arrived clearly at 330 and left @415 topical time to eat a dinner 45 min then when my fience had whent to serve him self his last plate of food they said he couldn't eat what was out because we came for end of lunch not dinner and clearly they where just being rude and to say they embedded him at the buffet line thank God he is ok with his size Being 6'4 And all because I would hate to see what a person with low self esteem would do when enberrased in front of all kinds of ppl at a buffet line I will not return and I will be calling better business bureau thank you have a blessed day all

All around great food. My girlfriend and I eat totally diff variety of Chinese and we were both very pleased with our meal. If I had to recommend something it would be the butter chicken. It's amazing. And my girl said the crab ragoon is her recommendation.

This place is ok if you're in one of those "I don't want to cook" moods. They have a VERY WIDE VARIETY of food types; from mozzarella sticks and (mediocre)pizza to general tsao chicken. The best thing that they had in my opinion was the individual cups of ice cream.

Great small buffet and grill. Grill has shrimp, beef and chicken. Limited selection of vegetables for grill. Such as button mushrooms, onions, celery carrots,green peppers. 2 types of noodles. Several searing sauces. Very satisfactory grill. Buffet has 4 tables. 4 soups including hot and sour, egg drop. Salad selection, fruit , and desserts. Enjoyed this place.

There is a lot of variety here, the fried catfish was surprisingly good. Price was cheap for a buffet, $8.99 for evening. Some items were not fresh when I arrived, but by the time I left nearly everything had been replaced. My suggestion would be to arrive no earlier than 6:00.

Very good. The vegetables were fresh and nicely prepared. The meat was good quality. Even the chicken was well seasoned and prepared. The sauces we're terrific. It's obvious that a lot of skill, time and attention went into the preparation of most dishes. The only drawback was the sweet/sour chicken that was dry from sitting out too long. My visit was at almost 2:00 pm mid-week so not too surprising. Overall great selection and a fine meal.

Big boiled peal and eat shrimp in the lunch buffet is a huge plus. Have eaten there probably six or more times and not disappointed. Like all Chinese buffets you have to eat when it's busy or the food suffers. Have been impressed with the waiting staff and the food quality. In my estimation it's not far behind the hibachi grill off 22nd, which is my favorite in the Des Moines metro.

The food was phenomenal. The service was really attentive and filled my drink before it was too low. Very friendly to me and my children. On the other hand the bathroom wasn't very clean, it smelled bad, and the faucet was pretty obnoxious. It sprayed my three year old in the face just by turning it on and got water up his nose. I just think they need to a little more attentive to the cleanliness of the bathrooms and the over building as in walls and floors. For me my three children that are 11, 3, and 2, and my husband to eat there was $43.47 with tip was a little over $50 so not the cheapest. And for it not being the cheapest I would expect a clean environment. But the quality of food was on point.

The New China Buffet is like most buffets: hit or miss. Most of the time the selection is good, but with a rotating selection, some days are better than others. Today's visit was good, the restaurant was very busy so the food was very fresh and hot. The chicken selections were great - as always - but the noodle choices were only two and both were lacking flavor. Overall, for the price (about $10 a person), the food was adequate, the experience pleasant, and, hey, you can eat until you can't fit in your car!

I like to stop by for a fast lunch with plentiful veggies. The buffet food is good. I enjoy the sushi with the cucumber, cheese, salmon, and sesame seeds. I always leave happy and have been there several times now. I don't eat out a lot but lately this is where I want to go. I see some people don't like the service. They seem friendly enough to me. Used plates disappear promptly. Actually had a nice brief chat with the lady up front last time I was in.

I think that, within the Chinese culture, owning a restaurant is a party of their life. I noticed someone make a comment about how they speak to their employees while in front of customers, and that got me thinking that the atmosphere would make sense with the mindset that brings the business and personal aspects of their lives together. Americans learn to separate the two. But, altogether, I think they cook their food the same way as everyone else and they have little concern for comfort. Not bad, though. Point being: don't expect Paris for Hong Kong prices.

This place has halfway fair food. The servers are very rude and discriminatory against federally protected service dogs. They repeatedly told my brother to leave his dog at our table when he went to get food. I'll never eat here again.

Absolutely terrible. The service is a joke and the food is disgusting. My table only got checked on once the whole time we were there AND THE PLACE WAS NOT BUSY. I have given this place multiple chances and I mean at least 20 chances throughout the past 3-4 years. It's the same story each time. I refuse to eat here. I'll stick with New Wok, or Hai Nam, or even ham sandwiches at home.

Been here once before but didn't remember the experience but was quick to remember why it was so long for my return. No hello or goodbye for anyone I've watched go through the door. We get our drinks and get our straws thrown at us, not going to base it off something little but the last time I was here, after the tip was dropped it was taken before we left or when the plates were cleared. It was fairly easy to see the motive of actually being attended too and that's sugar coating it. Food was good just zero hospitality in my own experience

The best Chinese buffet I've experienced anywhere ever. Not hyperbole. If you know of one better anywhere please let me know I'd like to try it. I have a friend who's a Chinese buffet connoisseur and he's only been to one that's better. It's in Vegas and costs $75. Sprawling options and reliably high (for a Chinese buffet) quality of food items offered. Staff is lovely. 5/5 as far as Chinese buffets go.

Sushi and stuffed mushrooms were good everything else was dried out. We paid for 3 adults and my son did not eat. Sour stomach. So on order to get a box they tried to charge us 13 additional dollars. I ended up paying for 2 drinks and 3 meals. Poor customer service.

We love the owner! She is awesome. The food on buffet is always hot. I feel bad speaking ill of the place but the truth is I hate going to their restroom. It is stinky and needs more air filtration. Watered down soap.
