Excellent! River view is superb. Our server was friendly and the food was great.

Olivia Hauptly

It was ok. Kind of expensive for what you got though.

Grumpy OleMann

A very good supper menu and a view of the damn.

Zachary Johannes

Service was on point, food to die for, I would come here again if I wanted a classy dinner date.

L Joe

Great brunch buffet. Marcy is delightful!

Kevin Simpson

Absolutely awsome brunch buffet.

Matthew Frazier

Huge, labyrinthine steakhouse with a unique view of a dam on the Iowa River. Steaks and sides were perfect. Waiter was thoughtful and attentive. Great bread!!

Nurse Grace

Beautiful scenery and fine dining at it's best!! Excellent service and the most delicious spread of prime rib, breakfast items, fresh fruits, salads, and unlimited mimosa's!! Enjoyed a lovely birthday brunch on the patio with scenic views of the dam and river front!! Our waiter even took a second round of photos for us to make sure we got "the perfect picture" to remember it by! All the wait staff here are stellar!! They've had the same staff for years which clearly speaks volumes for how much they enjoy working at the IRPR; it's expressed in their superb service and smiling faces. BEST BRUNCH in the area!!! YOU WILL LOVE this place!!!

Abby Luther

Enjoyed the most delicious Easter meal here. The buffet is top notch with something for everyone! Superb service and a great atmosphere! Thanks to Iowa River Power for making our holiday one to remember!

Lori Harrington

Amazing Sunday Brunch Buffet!! Prime rib, ham, all the breakfast, waffles, salads, fresh fruit to die for, and desserts. All so good!

Tedrick Hawkins

We went for Mothers day. The staff were friendly. The wait to get in was exhausting, aside from that though the food good and the mimosas where flowing. I lived the view of the river.

Michael Lindholm

Great service for my visit, delicious food, and a lovely view from the dining room of the Iowa River. Great ambiance, I need to return!

Mike Jones

I went as part of a group of five. The appetizers were excellent...crab puffs and onion rings. 4 of us had pretty good entrees, but one had a mediocre prime rib. The service was good but not special enough to earn 5 stars. It was still overall worth the 1 hour drive we had.

Penny Gill

We were expecting something amazing for brunch after reading all of these reviews. Wow, what a bummer. This buffet was like the quality of food you’d get at Golden Corral. It was like a bunch of very average hotel food at a buffet. The choices were lacking and weren’t high quality. If you want your meat to taste like plastic, come here. If you want dry sweets/cake, come here. If this is all you’ve ever had, then I get why you think this was good. If you’ve been to the top buffets in Vegas or even Salt Lake City, like the Grand America brunch buffet, you’ll think going here was a total waste of time.

Chuck D

Best brunch in town. Tons of great options

Steve Nachazel

Always enjoy the great food at IPR!

Mo Handooz

Salmon penne with pasta was great

Jesse Rage

Really good food. Amazing view of the Iowa River.

Ahren Gross

Great dinner, view of the river was really nice, nice presentation of our dessert for our anniversary

Thomas Balmer

Treat yourself to Sunday brunch at least once. The food is delicious, the staff are attentive/helpful, and the view is tough to beat. Pro tip - don't plan to eat for the rest of the day after brunch.

Shivang Patel

Great food, great view and very nice and helpful staff. Definitely recommend it specially when the weather is nice.

Gretchen Schwartz

Went Labor Day Sunday and for our anniversary for brunch and made my reservation on line the night before for 11am. Received an email the next morning stating that my reservation at 10am could not be completed as they were booked at that time and to call for seating. Funny, since I requested 11am. Called and ended up seated in the bar restaurant Flannigans, not the restaurant proper. While waiting to be seated, an elderly woman tripped on the rug and fell. 3 staff members at the hostess stand watched as her family helped her up. No staff member inquired if she was hurt and no manager in sight. The food was a touch above average. The service was exceptional due to such large crowds. Due to this experience, sadly, I probably will not return.

Viola Taylor

Great food ,great service ,great view .

Randy Hulseberg

Their variety of the menu. Nice view to the outside

Corely Welch

I had heard wonderful things about the brunch here, so I figured that would be a good first try. Sadly I am disappointed, the foods on the buffet line (mainly the breakfast type food, like eggs and sausage) were not at a good holding temperature. Hot foods were much cooler than they should have been in that section. As for the service, that is a completely different story. Our server was wonderfully attentive, and all staff we came in contact with were very nice. The views of the river from the dining room are beautiful, and we even got to see an Eagle flying around. Will I go back? Possibly, I like to give places more than one chance. In my opinion, for the price point, Sunday brunch at the Ox Yoke in Amana is better.

Kitty Wicher

Our waitress was totally unprofessional... we came to celebrate my birthday. A person that had joined our party had an issue with her bill (which I didn't know about). We enjoyed ourselves, loved the food and thought the service was good. Most of our party had already left (incl. the person that had an issue). When we left, the waitress that took care of us was standing between 2 tables that she was waiting on - yelling at us "well, I am sorry you didn't enjoy your experience!". I didn't know what she was talking about so I asked her what was going on. She yelled "well, that's what I was told by management". It was a total scene, all guests were looking at us.... A) Thanks for ruining my birthday B) Lady, I don't know what your problem was - but you should find another job where you don't have to interact with people.

Michael Melton

I have driven past this place every time I come to town for work but have never stopped until this time. The prime rib and twice baked potato was fantastic. We were seated right next to the water. It was a great experience and I will definitely be back in the future!

mh clark

Amazing food! You will not be disappointed! Great environment too!

Nathan Oliver

Nice views of the river w frequent Bald Eagle sightings, large open space inside.

Dave Hughes

Beautiful nice dinner looking over the river and enjoying the fall colors! Great waitress & service! First time and look forward to returning.

Darlene Subialka

Amazing sunday brunch with a view of bald eagles soaring over the river

Felicia Nocentelli-Franklin

The food was okay, it could have been tastier. The crab puffs were misleading. No crab taste at all, just the taste of cream cheese. For the prices, I expected better tasting food. And the "Jumbo' shrimp are medium at best.

Mike Vlahos

We had the buffet on Sunday morning. Food was great selection was amazing. We thought it was a good deal before we found out that mimosa's and Champaign we're included in the price. I would go back again.

Joyce Desotel

Old, dirty carpet maybe over 25 yes old. The food also a disappointment. Needs remodel inside and out. Lots of pasta, but only a few shrimp and maybe 1 chopped up asparagus spear. Very sparse ingredients in the salad also. 1 slice of boiled egg and One tiny grape tomato on lots of spinach. Value is low. Only God thing is the view.

Artemis Briasouli

Nothing much! Drinks are not well made. Food is okay! Amazing cakes though!

Alicia Keiller

Great place for brunch

Gregory Norfleet

Good food, good service

Emma Daniels

With absolutely stunning decor and a beautiful view of the river, this iconic restaurant will meet your every expectation! Although there is nothing listed on the menu as Vegan, our waitress kindly brought over the manager who not only made us feel right at home, but gave out extravagant options to choose from. She seemed excited at the challenge to deliver fine cuisine that met our dietary request. To top things off there was a wonderful craft beer and lovely wine menu with the option to request your own cocktail from the bar. All in all it was a wonderful experience!

Tim Fujinaka

Sunday brunch was graet!

felicia stahl

Extremely happily surprised to have a wonderful vegan meal here!

Hunter Hying

love this place!

Rob

We went for Sunday brunch. We sat on the Flanagans side. We had reservations and were seated quickly upon arrival. Service was questionable, no refills on coffee or waters. Food on the buffet was normal brunch items with the addition of salmon, ham, and roast beef. Eggs, sausage, bacon and home fries standard. Desserts look wonderful, however, it was obvious that all of the cakes had been frozen for several days. Cake was dry and overly dense.

Don Lewis

Beautiful location along the Iowa River with fantastic views of the river and numerous bald eagles flying and diving right outside the huge windows facing the river. The Sunday brunch was also outstanding with so much quality cooked on site food. You will go away stuffed, but a very memorable experience. This will be a have to stop anytime we are in the area from now on. Give it a try and you won't be disappointed.

Brian T. Beale

The Prime Rib is outstanding!

Lisa King

They specially made a vegan entree for someone in our table party. It was impressive! Great customer service. Yummy food!

Deb Kellison

It’s an annual tradition for our families to celebrate birthdays here for Sunday brunch. The best brunch around!

Gary Vandekamp

Great food, drinks & even better service. Very pleasant atmosphere and view of the power plant dam with its historical location.

Andrell Hubbard

Really nice view and spectacular service, but the food leaves a bit to be desired. I had the filet and stuffed shrimp. Compliments to the chef because my steak was cooked perfectly, but under seasoned. The shrimp and the sides were mediocre as they were also bland. I don't think I will ever return, but if I do, I know I would have great service.

S. Spence

Best prime rib I have ever had.

Gary Ibbotson

Wait staff was fantastic I had the prime rib and it was very good. Good place to go on special occasions.

Jeffrey Svarverud

The restaurant overall is nice. The carpet showes the wear and dirt very bad and is a big distraction to the rest of the restaurant which is in fair condition. After the carpet the entry way needs the most attention as the railing is rusted and does not set a good impression as you enter the restaurant. The windows need to be cleaned as they have a lot of spider webs with dead bugs in them another distraction to the restaurant The restaurant has some wonderful views of the river and dam. The decor in side is very nice with some of the items left over from when the building was the power house for the city. There is a good story here and it is nice to see the building getting a new life. The food was very good and we had excellent service. Shane's timing was excellent as we move from drinks to appetizer to salads, entrays with wine and dessert with coffee. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone in town. The prime ribe was excellent along with our entire meal. Parking is good and the history and food are wonderful. We will be back for another dinner soon.

Grant Poock

Riding on the popularity of the brunch, any other engagement for a meal shows that the place really needs some attention. It seems as though facilities have coasted by on people assuming it is a "mainstay" of the area. And while most of the food is great, the place needs some TLC. While certain dishes are very tasty, sometimes the sides are hit and miss. Yes, the scenery is cool, and the plethora of windows overlooking the river is nice. But looking around at the building itself reveals other things. I bring up the facilities because the price of the plates would make you assume that they wouldn't still have the original carpet from the 70's (as it looks). I also understand there's a certain charm for the "rustic" appearance, but that can be a razer thin line. Furthermore, looking up shows that wiring challenges have been solved with extension cords and other ad hoc solutions. I'd still recommend going there for a meal. But if the place itself is ignored for much longer, there's a chance folks won't be able to overlook some of these shortcomings.

Nichole Metzger

One of the best breakfast buffets we have EVER had!! Highly recommend!! You won't be disappointed!!

Theresa Wink

Great food, friendly hostess and Marcie the waitress was fantastic.

Jack Ulmer

The steaks were tough and had lot of sinew. We sent them back and will not order Ribeyes again

Liam James

Great place to go for mother's day!

Justin Butkhardt

Amazing food,service,and sights

Margo Glass

Our clinic celebrated our Xmas party there. Both the service and food were excellent.

limoguy1951

We love to go to this restaurant, and it's worth the 50 mile drive. Food and service are ALWAYS excellent. Once, at brunch, my wife went to get a piece of chocolate cake, and the chef said "please wait a moment". She returned and had a small container of warm caramel, and said "now, it's ready for you". We were very impressed.

Jared Davis

Best prime rib I've had in quite awhile. Was really tender, and pretty affordable as far as prime rib goes. The decor was fun too. It looked like it was converted from a power plant

Tim Johnson

Went for Sunday brunch and was told had to wait until 10:30 because one group had a reservation for 162 people. Wow! Sweet. Thanks for letting everyone know. Will never be going back there again. A lot of other choices in town for brunch. Dont waste your time here. Reply to Danise: Welcome to the 21st century where Facebook and business websites rule the internet. A posting on either one of these for your company with an updated brunch time would have been great! You booked one party for 162 people. You didn't know where they were going to sit or how many tables you had left? That's a pretty big group for not planning that. Communication to other paying customers in my opinion is pretty important when running a business. Seems to me that you know how to use the internet since you are replying on this review so.....not really sure how you couldn't figure out how to get a message to your customers. No worries, won't be back and plan on always going elsewhere. Just say you REQUIRE reservations and you wouldn't have these issues. Not that hard. Sounds like you should keep dipping strawberries and hire someone to manage.

Yvon Dubinsky

They have the absolute best Sunday brunch in Iowa City.

Shaun Spiegel

Iowa River & Power is suppose to be an iconic restaurant. What I experienced was far from the reputation given to this storied location. When we first walked in, you see a hostess station in disarray with plastic wrappers and trash laying on the ground. The hostess was welcoming but you could tell she was stressed. We didn’t have a reservation so we knew there would be a wait. The hostess told us ten then fifteen and finally maybe thirty minutes. Everywhere you looked there were open tables so I can only attribute the wait to a lack of staff to serve all tables. When we did get to our table the cleanliness did not improve. More trash and food on the floor, a painting above our table had cobwebs. This is not how you envision a fine dining restaurant to appear as atmosphere is everything. The waiter seemed rush as he did not ask for our drink order when he arrived for introductions. When he finally came back after about fifteen minutes he took our drink order and nearly ran off before I could order an Appetizer. The mushroom skillet was very nice a good hint of garlic and the mushrooms seemed fresh and plentiful. For me that was the only good part of the food. I ordered the prime rib Cajun style and it arrived luke warm, with little flavor even though it was covered in Cajun seasoning. Both the green beans and broccoli were undercooked and almost raw. The chocolate cake was tasty but just average. I would not really go back and that is sad. This restaurant is surviving on a borrowed glory from the past hopefully someday it will live up to that reputation but on this night it did not.

Justin Mann

Awesome views, great service, food is decent. Had prime rib and lobster. Neither had a flavor that tripped my taste buds, but for the price was worth it.

Bill Ferrel

Nice setting, the food was good, but not outstanding. Ordered steaks which were a bit tough a top sirloin and a rib eye. Spinach salad was sad. The dressing was way overdone and ok overwhelmed the rest. Started with a crab "puff" not sure why it was called that. It was a crab meat ragoon. Really wanted to rate IRP better, but not this time

Serina jo Stabenow

I'm in love with this place. I don't like buffets. This is the best food I've tasted

Cindy Oberman

They need a good cook.

Amanda Vogt

Love their brunch on Sunday! Worth every penny! Make sure you call for a reservation so you don't have a wait.

Susan Poole

Definitely for us a "special occasion" restaurant as it's on the pricier side, but the building and setting were interesting and the food delicious. We split the Monterey Shrimp, which was fabulous, and a beef fillet dinner -- for which they don't charge extra to share. The fillet was very tender, but not obviously seasoned or marinaded. It did come with a delicious mushroom sauce, but it was sparing. For the cost of the meal, it seemed portions weren't very generous, yet we left comfortably satisfied. Our friends had NY strip served with a beautiful herbed butter which we got to sample (the fillet was much more tender). Our asparagus was perfectly done. Service was good.

Hugh

Been coming to IRL&P Co. for decades. Excellent food and atmosphere! Great brunch!

Kristin Gacon

Great atmosphere and good steakhouse style food without the high prices of some other Iowa City restaurants. Pleasant staff always keeps us full of drinks and the delicious bread.

image capture

Lacked some flavour in the french onion soup, house salad was lovely as was the herbed bread and honey butter.

David Gray

Excellent food and service. Amazing views. Just what you want for brunch for a pair, a family, or a crowd. Perfect for an intimate dinner for two in the evenings as well. A favorite.

Robert Noble

Was very good food ..loved it

Gary Jones

Having frequented this establishment numerous times, usually with a group of family members, this past Sunday after our meal I was quite taken back when our waiter presented our bill with his hand written tip suggestion added to the total .Tip calculations are clearly printed on the check. I don't understand why a server would try to suggest an 18% tip when he had no idea of my perception of his service. When he came to get the bill he asked if the tip amount was ok. I replied that I would prefer to calculate the tip myself. Our group were satisfied with our meal and our service up until being presented the check. I don't know if this is standard procedure now, but it doesn't work for me .I did however, tip 20% anyway as is my own usual way to say good job. My point is that why would a server do that unless they felt that the guests weren't going to leave a good tip. Perhaps he has been stiffed by multi-generational groups in the past. Just didn't appreciate the approach.

Charles Walton

Fantastic food. Great Sunday brunch. Excellent staff. Nice view of the river. I was very impressed.

Mia Grefe-Lewis

Didn't go in. Just like the view when having a long day it makes for a nice break. Love walking across the bridge and listening to the water.

gina westercamp

First time coming here. Bread hard. Not good waitress. Tried taking my husbands food plate off table when he still was eating. Very rude! Never refilled our water glasses once. Won't be returning.

Casey Potts

4.5 maybe more. We meet some old friends there for dinner. We had reservations and great seats by the water. Our waiter, Zachary, was very patient as it took several trips before we quit talking and foucused on the menu. We had a round of appetizers that were all good. My salad was fresh and crisp. I ordered the standard prime rib, rare, which came out rare and plenty big! It was an excellent meal and excellent setting. After dinner we enjoyed a stroll over the bridge.

Jordan S

Perfect bar food, couldn't have asked for a better burger.

Daniel DeBeer

The Iowa River Power Restaurant is worth visiting for the atmosphere. Tradition surrounds you as soon as you enter. The primerib is excellent, service friendly and efficient. And the birthday treat unique! Prices are reasonable, the selection available is great, the view on the Iowa River ... well, go and see! Remember a reservation.

Jerri R

Our meals were delicious and the service was excellent.

Ronnie Nicolaus

Staff was FANTASTIC GREAT food in a comfortable setting

Elizabeth de Wys

Great food and staff. The Sunday brunch is a great experience with a beautiful view.

Jad El Masri

Great value for a brunch buffet with a view. Highly recommended on the weekends.

Dirk Fabrig

Excellent restaurant on the river in an unusual location which was a powerplant

Sean Anthony

My girlfriend and I ate there recently for the first time and were very impressed. The staff were very friendly and the service was excellent. The food was excellent and well prepared and we had a great view of the dam from our table.

Joe B

Great food excellent views of the Iowa river!

Nicole Ludwick

Great food, view, atmosphere, and service. We will be back.

Kirk Kraklio

Best brunch in the corridor. Great variety and value. Get reservations, very busy!

Dakoda D Sellers

Glad we went, decent food. Its higher price but the setting and view are worth it

Jason Semans

The restaurant was very busy due to graduation weekend at University of Iowa. In the midst of the busyness and crowds the staff was quick to help and very professional. They only offered the buffett, no menu that night. The fod was fantastic and a great variety was available. The dessert table was fantastic as well. The atmosphere was busy but not rushed and conversation was easy even at our table of 8. I will go back and look forward to checking out the menu.

Bee Rok

Wow. Just WOW! This is my favorite brunch of any I've ever tried. The prime rib, smoked salmon, and Brandy bacon bourbon dressing were beyond all expectations! Great variety of desserts, but chocolate covered strawberries we're my fave! Mimosas are included and the bartender was very friendly and attentive. I will be coming back with friends and family in the near future!

Squadron 480

What can I say, took my date to Sunday brunch, service and the food easily five star. Can't wait till Sunday.

Bill Garst

Grwat view. Wonderful food.

Michael Ryan

Fantastic food outstanding service

cindy wigley

Great food great service, nice view if you're on the river side.

Lori Johnson

Atmosphere was great and service was great!! My food wasn't fully cooked like I asked. And When you ask for a to-go box and they bring out a styrofoam container um hello we just dropped $120 including tip not again!!!!

Kianoush Maleki

Fantastic view and astounding building. Delicious food

Jennifer Maurer

We stopped for the night and decided to try this place. We had the prime rib and it was delicious. Baked potato was cooked perfectly. Waitress was great and my grandson loved the view of the water. We will be back maybe to try the buffet next time.

MaximumRyu Ryu

Great food. Great service. Awesome location and greatview

Mason Clarke

Oh my good lord. Hard to beat the quality of food ya get at this place. Mmm mmm mmm.

sean murphy

The bartender was busier washing dishes than paying attention to anyone. I watched him for 20 minutes and not once did he smile or engage genuinely with a client. horrible first impression. When I asked for my tab he placed it in front of me with no comment of any kind and when I signed out and tipped him, again no comment of any kind, ridiculous! I've worked in hospitality and a smile and a comment such as 'Thanks for joining us' or 'Enjoy your dinner' makes all the difference. Someone needs to coach these bartenders. My waiter was excellent and very kind. Food was average at best. I would never go back

PHILLIP KILCREASE

Great Place to Take Out Of Town Visitors

Paulette Pardun

The food was delicious. My porkchop was a bit under cooked, but very tender & tastey with the Apple juice. We enjoyed our evening.

Valeria L Hunter

Unbelievable view!!! The food was fantastic too.

Cheryl W

We went on Thanksgiving. We had made arrangements in advance to have a vegan meal prepared for a party of 6. I have to say.... The meal was unbelievable. The service was perfect. The views picturesque. Treat yourself one day.

David Sweet

Awesome, all I can say!

Brock Corman

Amazing upscale restaurant perfect for any special occasion. The Prime Rib is sublime while it is available, and comes in a cajun style (personal favorite). They decorate desserts to say special messages on request, and always have fast and friendly service. The decor is also worth mentioning, the building itself has an interesting history, and the view of the river is incredible any time of year. Highly recommend.

Sarah Santiago

I would give it a 4-5 star for view and service, however, I would give them a 3 on food. I would not recommend the French onion soup and my husband's rib eye steak was the right temp but very tough. Prime rib was just okay, it could have used a flavor besides meat. My new potatoes were way over cooked and super bland.

Charles Chukwujindu Okoye

Good place to eat.

thesmileybone60

Delicious food and great prices! Awesome for date night or families. Fantastic service:)

Caiti Rowe

Excellent brunch buffet. The prime rib was perfect and the cakes tasted amazing and looked beautiful. I love doing brunch here!

Jonathan Williams

Excellent view great good and excellent service!

Robin Shearer

Best brunch in town, by far. Very reasonably priced as well.

Dave Ricklefs

Good food real good server. Had a good time for 50 yrs

Linda Banwarth

We were going there for brunch. The hot food was hat and everything tasted wonderful. The variety was almost overwhelming. Meats, veggies, pasta, salad, breakfast foods, breads, and the list goes on. I have a granddaughter who loves fruit and veggies (I know)... and another who likes sweets. Both were happy gals. The staff was friendly and efficient. Can't say enough good things to say about IRP.

Tara Lussow

The sunday brunch has amazing food!! However the waitress that took care of us was awful. The few times she actually stopped at the table we had to ask for drink refills and she acted like ti was inconvenienced by it everytime. When we had finished we waited at least 15 minutes before we saw anyone to ask for our bill... which was not our waitress and another 10 plus to actually get it. It was a very disappointing experience.

David Koeller

Great food and service

Layla Teel

Great hallmark establishment. Defo a stop while in Coralville.

3SV Vlogs

Arwin Shrestha

Very nice atmosphere, food was great, and the mimosas were refilled promptly! Would visit again soon.

raul priede

When I go I will tell you Google. But I wasn't there

Brinda Caldwell

The menu is very diverse, with lots of options. Members of our party were pleased with their entrees. I ordered mahi mahi, which was very good. Service was excellent.

scott campbell

Brunch was excellent. The spread was expansive and all of the food was delicious. Bottomless mimosas included with the brunch seals the deal.

Augusta del Bosque

Great view, food was ok.

Jeni Boettcher

Friendly people not the greatest food. Huge wine list. Atmosphere was nice.

Trent Tappan

Food is meh. It's overpriced and there are a lot of people who go here. I went for a birthday party brunch and was not impressed. I wouldn't go back if I had to pay.

Megan Petkewec

Delicious and reliable! P.S. if you enjoy chocolate covered strawberries - this is the place for you as they are the center piece of the dessert table!

Jason Swenson

Delicious food with a great view of the river. Food may have been a little overpriced.

Tim Zaiser

Food was below par. I ordered the New York strip and it was not cooked to my liking and very tough cut of meat. I mentioned this to the wait staff and they told me this is the way it is cooked here. We ordered drinks and they came out half full. I complained to the manager and he threw it back at me saying she is our best waitress she has been here 10 years making me feel like their sub standard food and service is somehow my fault. They refused to do anything for me and continued to make me feel terrible. I will never return to this place and it was my favorite restaurant.

Melinda McCullough

Great food and Views! The Cajun prime rib was so spot on!

Shannon Locke

Beautiful and tastes good

Mark Schwake

The food here is very good. Best Valentine's meal my GF and I have had togther

hawki5120

Went in for Sunday brunch. Beautiful views of the river out of the windows. Not the cheapest place in town but the food is excellent. They have glazed ham and prime rib which are both great plus a dessert bar.

Jennifer Zahorik

Nice outdoor patio dining. Celebrated my birthday here with family

Kevin Metz

excellent food. small selection of draft beer and a bit pricey. like the atmosphere

Matt Santiago

Great atmosphere. Great view. Amazing service.

Michele Sweeney

Nice view and excellent food!

Hawkeye Woodward

Still a great place after all these years! :)

Rick Wagenknecht

Food is always the drive. Service is top notch. If you can't get your fill. Something is wrong. Worth the price

Ann Kessler

Excellent brunch this morning. Great choices. Great service. Make a reservation for quick seating

John Kerr

Saturday night and they run out of prime rib at 7?? Terrible experience. The waiter never informed us they were out until we placed the order. I guess you have to have dinner here at 5 to get the prime rib which is what they are known for. Never coming back!

Sheila Callahan

Great evening with friends. Good food. Ate outside, beautiful evening on the river. Terrific service

Bhaskar Das

Very nice view of the dam. Food is awesome.

Vicki Swore

The food, the service & the atmosphere made for a wonderful family experience. Highly recommend!

Matt Glass

Amazing spread of options, very picturesque, and the food is delicious. My bloody Mary was good too. For the price and all that's included, it's hard to beat.

Dr. David Eghigian

Very average. If there was a 2 1/2 Star rating, that's what they would have received. Not really bad, but not really good. It wasn't cheap, so you would expect more. Very average. I always ask myself when I go to a new restaurant, "would I come back", and the answer is no.

Mary Klemzak

Very expensive, expect to spend over $20. Its nice for occasional outings, like an anniversary. Great staff, food, atmosphere. The dam and the occupants are mesmerizing. I had the duck, rice pilaf. I wasn't a fan of beans. We had two loaves if bread(small, about the size of a large grapefruit?) With sweet honey butter. Yummy!

Michael Nuss

Great food. Great service. Great atmosphere. Wonderful view of the Iowa River spilling over the dam. There is outdoor seating which would be fun to do but it was too hot the day my wife and I were there.

Francesca Passeri

Very unique atmosphere. Good food and excellent service!!

Susan Jensen

My husband and I had dinner here to celebrate selling our home. It was a wonderful evening starting with our table over looking the river. We had the crab puff appetizer, Ahi tuna steak and stuffed shrimp. Everything was delicious! Only one small complaint, the fresh green beans could have been cooked a little longer. Wonderful restaurant, we will return. Also our server Chris was great!

Jeff Phillips

Good food great service my steak was awesome

Megan Shook

Easily the best brunch in Iowa city. They make it difficult not to overeat! Certainly more on the pricey side, but any Iowa city resident should visit at least once for their Sunday brunch.

Isabelle Ku

Went for the Sunday buffet. Very popular, recommend making reservations ahead of time. The service was decent but friendly. The building was very interesting and still had old cranes and other stuff. The food was very good, especially the desserts. The view of the river smelled nice, but the river smelled kinda funky.

Meik1a4

Amazing food. Wonderful service. Beautiful view of the Iowa River.Best Prime Rib I've ever had. The Sunday Buffet... words can't describe the amount of choices or how good it is. And most importantly, great service every time I have dined there.
