This place is a gem. Yes it's a sports bar but very family friendly and crazy good food. Try the funnel cake fries drizzled in raspberry sauce, cream cheese sauce and powdered sugar before you leave. The BBQ pork nachos are also strangely amazing. Prices are reasonable and service is on point. Don't see what you want on one of the 50? Tvs? They will change the channel for you. I particularly like the sign that says "If you can't be nice, leave."

Very friendly place. I eat here often alone and with friends and family. Incredible menu and a full bar. Lots of TV for watching games but not loud and obnoxious like large chain restraunts. I suggest the Coordinator, named after the owner's son. I eat it without the jalapenos. Say hi to Mike the owner.

Super food, super nice service, casual sports bar atmosphere that surprisingly attracts a lot of bachelorette parties or at least ladies parties. Children welcome most anytime ( I'm sure there's a cut off point at night ). Menu items reasonably priced and very tasty. Worth the time to visit Boonie's on the Avenue.

It was the worst place ever ate at we were in town for a bowling event 9 in the party we ordered several appetizers asked us 3 times if we got them never did order 3 steaks all were cold had a better steak out of a microwave my daughter couldn't even eat it 1 burger cold also all the waitress did was kept saying I'm sorry this never happens would not recommend

My soccer team and I came in to Boonie’s for a late lunch after our game around 2. The restaurant was pretty empty and we were given one server for our whole group of around 25. It took a long time to get our drinks and we were never offered refills. A few of our girls didn’t get their food until almost everyone was already done eating. Once they get their food there were multiple mistakes made with the order. One girl asked for no chicken and she received chicken. She is vegan. She noticed but it was already too late. She had already puked multiple times because of the chicken in her wrap. Another order was given the wrong dressing so she was forced to eat her salad DRY. That’s just plain gross. It also should be noted that there were many flies hanging around and landing on our food. It should be pointed out that these flies had most likely previously landed on fresh dog poop. The odds of our food containing dog poop now were more than likely. The water also has a distinct chlorine smell. Most likely sourced from the pool from the hotel across the street. PS. Tator tots were nice

There is always room for improvement so rarely will I rate anything a five. I wish I could have given Boonie's at least four stars. However, even for someone my age, 36, one of the thirty something TVs must've been too loud because people would yell over the TV, then they'd yell over each other, then they'd yell for their server...

I had the Dimestore Burger. It was very tasty and filling. My wife had the Taco Salad which was good but maybe a few too many onions depending on how you like yours. Fun sports bar. A little noisy when we were there. Nice menu variety. We'll be back.

Always wonderful to go there. Clean, friendly and good food. Miss some old menu items but impressed how frequently they change things up. Prime rib looked excellent and burgers and salads are amazing. BLT was ... eh. My choice to go simple, but bacon was tough and harder than I'm used to. (Because I usually get cheap bacon and burn it. Probably dont know how to appreciate good food. ) highly recommend Boonies!

I just recently moved to Muscatine with my girlfriend, and we have to say that Boonies blew our expectations away! We've been several times now when it was fairly busy but still our food didn't take too long to come out. We frequently order the cheese curds and/or tater tots because they have this powdery topping that really adds to it. I would definitely recommend for going if you have a sports game you want to watch. Very family friendly.

Easy on the butter cooks! I had a steak that was excellent but the mashed potatoes and especially the veggies were literally soaked in butter.. it was very disappointing receiving so much butter with otherwise would have been a 5 star meal. Minus 1 star for every stick of butter used in my meal. Great beer selection!

Their specialty burgers and dogs meet and exceeded expectations. Decent beer selection, friendly wait staff & bartender, even the owner sat and talked to me for a good 15 minutes. very friendly atmosphere while watching sports. In a week's span ate here at least 5 times trying something new. Delighted with my pick and waitresses recommendations. Would easily go back.

The group of locals I was with and I had a fun time watching the game. Lots of TVs. Really good and active service - we never had to wait for anything even though the bar was busy. The pub food was pretty good - about what I expect from a sports bar.

We had not been here in ages (we rarely go out to eat), and it was SO good! We went on Tuesday and they had a taco or enchilada special, but we opted for burgers. The place was busy, but the wait staff was so friendly and helpful, we ordered the "Macho Nachos" with pulled pork for an appetizer (hint: unless you are just going for drinks and sharing an appetizer, you can probably opt for the 1/2 order--this was massive!), I had the "Sticky Burger" (topped with peanut butter, mayo and bacon)....I can't remember having a better burger than this! They have a huge selection of beers on tap, lots of TV's, not overly loud and just very friendly and inviting!

The salads are HUGE. This was the largest salad that I've ever had at a restaurant. It's enough to feed a small family. I had the Mediterranean salad with chicken, which was delicious. The price was very reasonable. The restaurant was very busy but service was great. My server always had a smile on her face. Sports bar/restaurant atmosphere. I highly recommend it

A local sports bar that is the "go to" spot for you to watch the game(s). With walls and walls (and walls!) of TVs, you are sure to be able to find the game you want on, and if it isn't ask the staff and they will try and get it on for you! The food is American, great burgers, awesome appetizers, and cold beer on tap. The staff is always helpful and very friendly as well.

Super disappointed in our visit to Boonie's this afternoon and will never return. When we come to town for sporting events. I always encourage our team to gather there for lunch or dinner in between games. We always call ahead to make sure they can accommodate us and were told "no problem" today. Sadly, we received some of the poorest service ever....watched tables being turned over twice before we received our food....AND then to top it off, after nearly 3 hours (yes, no lie...3 hours) after placing our order, 2 meals were completely forgotten, which was fine given they belonged to adults and not any of the kids. Shockingly, when we received our bill, there wasn't even an apology or any financial restitution. When questioned, the manager gave us a whole $5 off after our group spent over $500. Quite offensive actually.

Great atmosphere, lots of tv's and young people,but..The hamburger meat is terrible, It tastes like the frozen patties you would find at a ballpark , rubbery, not good.The menu said it was Angus beef,Far..Far...Far from that. Looks like it's preformed and then frozen in packs of fifty. I gave the restaurant three stars due to the staff and speed in getting the food to us. I went there a second time and tried different food..No hamburgers, much better. Get better hamburger and I would give you five stars.

This place was nearly full when our table of 8 arrived. We were sat right a way and had excellent service. Even though they were full the service was great and the food even better. This is not you typical sports bar food. The salads are enormous; the wings, on point; appetizers galore. Huge on tap beer selection. Simply a great place all around!

We are from out of town and had asked for recommendations for where to eat in Muscatine and multiple people said Boonie's. Wasn't sure what to expect especially since we had 10 of us, but it was amazing. Every person loved the food they got and the service was fantastic. Highly recommend.

UPDATE: THE OWNER HAS SINCE REACHED OUT TO US TO MAKE THINGS RIGHT. We will be giving Boonies a second try next time we're in town. Out of a party of 6, we waited 15 mins to get seated. Waited OVER an hour for our food. The salads came with the food instead before. 5 of us got ribeyes, 3 of them were under cooked, one was over cooked. Medium was medium rare, 2 medium rares were RARE, and one med rare was medium. The onion rings were over cooked. The seasoned tater tots were not season. Only gave 2 stars because service was decent.

Okay stop. Service was slow and not very attentive. The atmosphere is cool and the seating on the outside is cool. I had a crispy chicken bacon sandwich. The sandwich was hot and tasted very good. I had to ask my server for the bill and the food took a while to arrive. I will stop again when I am in the area to get a better review on this place.

Have been there many times and always enjoyed it but the last 3 or 4 visits have shown a major decrease in service and food. During my last visit I ordered a burger that was brought to me cold. Not just luke warm but as if it had been sitting for 20 min plus. I politely asked my waitress if I could have it remade fresh and she complied. I was brought back the same burger that had been disassembled and "reheated".. yuck. Definitely will not be back until summoned by someone else's request.
