Came to Indiana for the first time and my friend brought me to Yolk for the first time and loved it. I special ordered a white meat omelette and they made it for me (awesome) along with a side of pancakes of the month OMG, everything was so freaking delicious, I will definitely go back, hopefully soon and don’t forget to try the strawberry OJ(just wish it was in a bigger glass)

A perfect dining experience. Our waitress, Stefani was fantastic. She listed specials, suggestions and got our order in record time. She was also running food, helping expedite, checking stock (made sure my wife got her grapefruit juice) checked on other guests, stopped confused guests from wandering away, provided all the sauces we wanted and anticipated our want for a coffee to go. The food was phenomenal. Fresh veggies and salmon. Prepared in a very appetizing arrangement. Take Stefani's advice and get the strawberry orange juice and the breakfast burrito with chorizo.

Yolks has wonderful and creative food! Start off with fresh strawberry-orange juice, Fluffy awesome fresh blueberry full pancakes are my fave. Cinnamon bun french toast is delicious! Banana and Nutella pancakes are out of this world! Lunch choices are also delicious. Chicken and waffles, west coast crepes, pot roast sandwich are really great! They have a huge menu and it's really hard to.choose just one thing. They give you lots of food. Service and staff are great too!

Very hipster vibe. The French toast was amazing. The hot chocolate hit the spot. My husband had eggs Benedict and he said it was the best he ever had. Our waiter, Seth, was Johnny on the spot. It was a great atmosphere, great food and fast. We will dine there again the next time we are in Indianapolis. Highly recommended by us.

The staff is great. With the decor and name, you're expecting amazing, unique food but it was pretty bland. Things like bacon and sausage were good but for example, their potatoes have almost no flavor. It's still a nice place but the food was disappointing.

Love everything about Yolk! Went on a Thursday about 1pm. We were the last customers of the day but were treated graciously. Great meter parking right in front of restaurant across from YMCA. Drip coffee is incredible... Brewed deliciously thick and strong. No need for espresso here! Water served in glass bottle and jar cups. Menu is incredible, hard to make a choice but we did the Santa Fe frittata and Banana Bread French Toast (with side of peanut butter) . Both were exceptional and filling and perfectly hot. Love the signature habanero hot sauce! Best brunch we have had in Indy!

Stopped for a quick breakfast while traveling to Indy for an event. SOLID place!! Food was lightning fast and the staff was very friendly. TONS of great options for all kinds of breakfast lovers - classics, new takes on old faves, wild combos and everytning in between. Not cheap - which is OK for me - , but if you want good food it's your place. Highly recommend.

This was so good. I loved it all! I got the all star combo- so good! I got plain crepes as my option, thinking they would be stuffed but they weren't- still happy! So delicious and flavorful without being too much. Great service. Super busy but worth the wait... we waited 30 min but it was the day of a Sunday Colts game, so probably usually a little less wait.

Lovely good old American breakfast. Eggs, toast, French toast, pancakes, and bottomless coffee just the way I like it. Friendly staff, quick service, freshly cooked meals. A breakfast that will set you up for the rest of your day!

This spot is pretty over-priced for some average, corporate-styled food. The place was pretty empty and we had still had to ask for most basic service items like water, napkins, and for our table to be bussed. The price point is already high for breakfast and you’ll be charged for most substitutions you’d want to make for a healthier meal. The toast was lightly pressed onto the griddle on one side while the other side was un-toasted. My group walked away from this meal pretty bummed out.

A nice atmosphere of breakfast/brunch dining at a reasonable price. The server gave for a nice show as she spent 10 minute arguing with another server at the bar with the manager refing the fight. But it was cool cause no dramatic scene was caused and she didn’t miss a beat with her guests!

Had a bafflingly terrible experience at this particular Yolk location. Ordered a Benedict (EDIT for clarity: Caprese Benedict, the vegetarian one that comes with mozzarella) and BF Burrito. Benedict arrived without cheese with egg not fully poached. Burrito had hot eggs but beans were cool bordering on cold, almost no cheese, and room temp plain burrito (obviously not heated at all just wrapped and served).Potatoes were just a mess: soggy and slightly rubbery with zero crisp or crunch and very little seasoning. When we decided to go, a guy who did not ID himself or tell us his name asked if he could get us anything else, were we sure, etc, but didn’t seem to really engage with any of the issues we had or say how he planned to fix it (assuming he was actually a manager?). They comped her uneaten meal but we got charged full boat for my half-eaten burrito and mostly-untouched potatoes and her 4-5 sips of iced coffee. It was surreal, if I hadn’t eaten half a dozen times with great results at other Yolk locations I’d never visit again. Was this a fluke? What the heck happened, and has this been anyone else’s singular experience at this Yolk location? This I can say: the food arrived LIGHTNING FAST, like too fast for it to fully cook, apparently. Maybe a desire to push it out is impeding quality? I don’t know!

Been here a couple times, always a long wait for the food which is a bit pricey for what you get. First visit food was pretty decent but today not so much. If you're a breakfast place cooking eggs properly shouldn't be an issue (the white part shouldn't be runny). Waiter didn't even ask how anything was and took my plate with the eggs which I didn't even touch. Coffee was bitter as well.

A wide variety of menu items that are always delicious. Think comfort food. Great, friendly staff, who hustle. Only one complaint, too many hard surfaces bounce the sound around and make it loud. So, great for kids and other people who have trouble modulating their volume, no one will notice them

If you are wanting a fast food joint, this is not the place to come. Be prepared to enjoy a great time/conversation with family and friends over mimosas or simply plain freshly squeezed orange juice while you wait for the most amazing brunch. Our family are eggs Benedict critics to the extreme. We’re from California where they have some of the best to offer; this is absolutely the place to go for any egg Benedict lover in the city. They give many great options and add interesting twists to the traditional egg Benedict, such as offering smoked salmon as an substitute option or even trying it with a waffle. Another favorite here is the Avocado Toast! Kids meals are very well proportioned. The service is excellent, everybody greets you with a smile, is very polite and provides you with the quickest service as possible available. Again, please do not get offended if you have to wait for a refill on drink or anything that YOU forgot to order. My best suggestion is to be prepared and organized with your ordering make sure to order everything you need from the beginning and maybe even what you will need ahead of time/next 30 mins or so, so everything flows smoothly. Have a plan. If you’re not ready at all and it’s your first time, kindly tell your server to their time so you can look over the menu (so many great options) and make sure to read what every meal comes with so in that way you don’t have to take up time deciding what options to choose from. Just a friendly reminder to make service quicker and more efficient. Good service comes from good customers who have great restaurant etiquette. And, always tip your server at least 20%, especially here. They really do go far and beyond to provide the best service. If you cannot afford tipping you cannot afford the luxury of eating at a “dinning” restaurant. So back to my first point, you want fast food and you cannot afford tipping, don’t go to Yolk, otherwise you will enjoy every minute of it.

Holy cow — that cinnamon roll French toast! All the sweet breakfast options I’ve tried here are truly amazing. From the nutty monkey cakes to the red velvet French toast, they’re all rich, decadent and delicious. There’s even a featured sweet cake that changes regularly. I also appreciate that you can have real maple syrup (for a charge) which is pretty rare. Sweet breakfasts are clearly their main thing. Yet there’s still plenty of options to enjoy a healthier breakfast here. Any of the scrambles or the HUGE omelets can be made with egg whites. And there’s a great variety of veggies to add in to their dishes. Again, they have lots of delicious fresh juices, though they’re a bit pricey. Their regular brewed coffee is not great, though it gets the job done. We typically sit at the bar where we like interacting with the staff. Even when the place is very busy, they’re always friendly.

Googled "best brunch in Indy" and Yolk was in the list. Went in on a whim. Service was awesome, prices were way beyond reasonable for the product you were getting. Coffee was excellent, as was the fresh squeezed strawberry orange juice. Menu is full of interesting items. Most of it is eggy goodness, but there's some options like chicken and waffles for those who don't like eggs. Lots of vegetarian options. Fully recommended! Unique restaurant located in the base of the Alexander Hotel. They offer unique spins on classic breakfast/brunch items. Excellent soup choices especially when they incorporate seasonal selections. I had the grilled cheese which incorporated goat cheese. Wonderful. Relaxing cool vibe as well. Definitely will be. New spot to visit regularly even though its 30+ mins from my home.

Best breakfast in town! Originally from Chicago, Yolk has some of the city's best (big) breakfasts. My favorite are their 5 egg omelettes and my husband loves their skillets and crepes. Plus, you can't go wrong with their burger if you want lunch or the patty melt (so says my mother-in-law). Highly recommend Yolk.

Visited here when I was in Indianapolis for a wedding. Terrific joint. We tried three or four of their different egg dishes amongst us and they were all delicious. Went home with a bottle of their hot sauce. Recommend that you do too.

We went on a Saturday morning and were seated immediately. The waitress was very nice and helpful. She gave us recommendations on what to order based on her preferences. The food was just ok. Our friends breakfast potatoes weren't cooked...they were still hard on the inside. Our other friend didn't eat any of her food on the all-star platter because it was very bland, nothing had flavor. I had the chicken and waffles and the sausage gravy flavor overpowered everything else. The bacon waffles weren't anything spectacular. Overall the food was ok but we won't be rushing to return.

Great atmosphere, great service, great food. The chilaquiles is on point! I live in Texas and was a little nervous about Indiana chilaquiles, but it did not disappoint. We also enjoyed the cinnamon roll french toast and the sugar induced nap that followed. The restaurant was casual and clean. The waitress was great with her suggestions and patient with my 2 kids under 5. Overall, a great experience.

They always give you a lot of food and it's good. Not a coffee drinker myself, but my family says that it's top tier. The grits were my one sore spot, but they've changed the recipe recently so, with some salt and pepper, they're pretty alright. Definitely a place I'll bring more out-of-town visitors!

THANK YOU YOLK! I've been in Indy for the past 4 days on a business trip. I had just about lost hope in finding a good meal at a good price with good service. I'm not even that picky! I just want food that isn't raw or cold in the middle served by a wait staff who doesn't abandon me halfway through service. The staff at YOLK took such great care of me! Incredibly tasty food served promptly. My coffee cup never went empty. Friendly staff. Great all around! I wish my hotel wasn't out by the airport, or else I'd be walking here to eat every day!

I loved dining at Yolk! Stephanie greeted me and showed great hospitality in finding me a seat where I could charge my phone. Seth, my waiter, was extremely helpful in recommending guest favorites and his personal favorites on the menu. I’m no coffee drinker, and I know that’s a big thing here, but I loved the chai latte!! I settled on a combo style meal with red velvet French toast (it was heavenly) eggs, sausage and bacon. Helen was very kind and swapped out my generic syrup for some real maple syrup- it comes in a little glass bottle that you can take home! Overall, it was a fantastic experience. The food was delicious and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. I’ll definitely be back!

One if my worst experiences at a breakfast lunch spot in Indy, very unprofessional, waited for quite some time to get service, while standing directly next to 3 associates, couldn't make what I order because it just came on the menu that day...... Wasn't compensated for the trouble, nothing. Order turkey burger, fries, simple... Right? Wrong, old lettuce, stale bread, not fully cooked meat, fries were limps, not fully cooked. 3 ketchups in bag, nothing else. No napkins, additional sauces if needed, nothing...3 ketchups?! Sad, never again. Especially downtown by the Fieldhouse.

Our first time eating at Yolk, and we weren't disappointed. There were 9 people ahead of us and we were seated fairly quickly considering how busy they were. Our food was absolutely delicious. Service was fast and friendly. The restaurant was also very clean. Can't wait for this chain to make it's way to TN.

The food was awesome! Had soooo many choices it was hard to decide on one thing. Highly recommend if you are looking for something other than the standard bacon and eggs. Their fresh baked scones are amazing! These guys even make their own hot sauce!

Bad service--brought wrong items. Gave feedback to manager and didn't really do anything about it. I will never go back. $40 for two ok meals you can get anywhere and bad service.

Went to Yolk this Thursday and loved it. Coffee was delicious which is the backbone to any good breakfast IMO. My waitress Miss Allie was delightful and gave me great service the whole time through. She recommended me the banana French toast which I got and it was also wonderful. Had enough to take home. Will be back!

Yolk is a great place to get high quality food that's made properly and always tastes fresh. They offer lighter options for the health conscious. Service is always prompt and the wait times aren't usually too bad. Portion sizes are reasonable and not oversized.

We went here for breakfast today and it was disappointing :\. The coffee was like octane and not drinkable. The crepes I ordered were thick with a pita appearance and taste- I ate two bites and left the rest. It was overpriced for the quality. I would gladly pay for quality but that is not what we ended up with.. :\. Leaving hungry is a fail.

Yolk (any location I have ever been to) is the absolute best breakfast there is. Their sausage is borderline life changing and I'm not sure what they do to their eggs, but they are different and more delicious that anywhere else I've ever ordered eggs. I like to keep my order pretty simple with 2 eggs scrambled, sausage links, english muffin and a side of fruit but everything I've ever tried is incredible. Their breakfast mac and cheese is ridiculous and their pancakes of the month are always absolutely delicious...basically dessert for breakfast.
