REVIEWS OF Vida IN Indiana

We went for a group dinner of old friends and could not have been more pleased. Great service, outstanding and very interesting food, and wonderful atmosphere.

Jason Semmler

We went to on 12/5/2017. The service was amazing. The food was amazing. The evening overall was amazing. Easily the best meal I've ever had in Indianapolis. Two glasses of wine, two four course meals, and valet parking was $235 total ($175 food/drink, $40 tip, and $20 valet w/ tip).... worth every penny.

Cristal Garrison

Excellent menu! The salmon & duck were perfection. You must try the donuts for dessert, they were a wonderful finish with a cuppa!

Thomas Messersmith

Great drinks, food and atmosphere

Nicholas John

We spent a decent chunk of money here. That said, it was a great meal with friends. Great food. We did the tasting menu with wine pairing. I tried items I would not have ordinarily ordered and was not disappointed. Brian was our server and delivered top notch service. Also the bar is an experience as well and worth a visit on it's own.

Andrew Poticha

Fantastic meal. Great service, great selection of wines by the bottle. Menu is outstanding, and if they have a chefs tasting menu, just do it.

Allison Russell

The staff is knowledgeable and the food was AMAZING! Cunningham Restaurant Group really knows what they are doing and is (in my opinion) the best places throughout the city of Indianapolis. My husband has formerly worked at Mesh and we continue to patron many of the CRG properties. Vida is one we enjoyed and will go to again.

Brandon Klingensmith

Excellent meal, but most importantly, the friendliest staff! Thank you.

Belinda Rice

Last Friday frequented this establishment for first time. Had read all the reviews, was excited to go. Experience exceeded expectations. While expensive, worth it for special occasions, which is every day we breathe in air! Wine list is extensive, once again like so many other fine restaurants, overpriced, with little quality offered below $100 for those who know their red wines. Will go again--soon.

One of my best meal.experoences in my life - to date! ....and I'm a lady who good or bad!? ...in my house often "the best thing for dinner is reservations". Ha I recommend going for it and ordering the chefs menu +wine pairings (as it's ever changing) but truly an incredible ride of flavors and the genius behind putting things together covering every bit of every bite of each plate* from textures, balance of sweet, savory, and how it's presented is also quite a treat in itself. Amazing!!! Quality food. Oh!!! Don't want to forget to give a huge compliment to their bartenders and their flexibility and the fun of them not being afraid or resistant in any way to try a new concoction for a customer (myself included) based solely on sharing a flavor that is craved or a certain base liquor preference but their creative freedom and the result was one of my now favorite cocktails I've ever had and a fun surprise. They take great pride in every detail of every part of your experience and the meal and drink throughout!!! A great date night spot, but also a very comfortable bar area layout for individual dining. A real Indy treat of a restaurant!

Charles Allen

As part of a large group, I ate here. First, I had a couple of drinks at the bar. It took a few minutes but the service after that time was very friendly. For our dinner, we had several courses .The steak was incredible. It was like cutting butter. So good. For dessert I had chosen this chocolate dish. Again, this meal was incredible. Lastly, the service, lead by Amber, was super. Just a great night.

Favorite restaurant in Indy! Always great food and service. You can tell the people here really care about food and the new flavors that we get to try are amazing. Bravo!

Andrea Sheafer

We had a wonderful time here! Food was delicious and our server Shane was wonderful and very informative. Highly recommended!

Beverly Marshall Patterson

Vida is an amazing experience. The waitstaff was extremely attentive. I wanted to hug the chef, but they wouldn’t let me. The food is that good. It’s a fabulous experience!

jacob smith

No is what this is but it sounds good.

Nicole Nierste

Went to vida for an anniversary on a weeknight. It did not dissapoint, right from the beginning with a chamangne toast. We chose the 4 course dinner and had a wine selection as well. Wait staff was very attentive and made us feel like first class customers. The food was delicious and the decor is modern and comfortable. The donuts were the best part- you must try them!

Shayla Smith

I feel like I should give this place 1 star because it has ruined every other meal I’ll ever eat in my life. Everything was incredible. Portions are perfect. Service was amazing. Atmosphere is great. Every bite I took was delicious. The ricotta doughnuts are out of this world. This is by far my favorite meal in Indianapolis.

Steve Moore

Another one of Mike Cunningham's high end restaurants. Outstanding service, HUGE wine selection... Comparatively small portions with "Expense Account" pricing. Since this was a former Italian restaurant, we were anticipating a Cunningham Italian experience. We were disappointed from that perspective, but food was excellent!

sandra flaishmakher

We celebrated our engagement at Vida with the Chef's tasting menu. The food was phenomenal and the service was great. We had a wonderful meal and appreciated the service. Chef's creations were fantastic!

Cindy Vogel

Great food, good service knowledgeable server, seated in bar area was louder than expected. Creative cocktails and wine. Recommend requesting wine pairings for menu items you won't be sorry.

A colleague and I are in town for a conference and had the pleasure on 9/4/2019 of eating dinner at Vida. If you’re looking for the one sentence review, I’ll simply say it is the best restaurant dining experience I’ve ever had in my life, with a special shout out to our server Mike D. For those of you who want to know more, follow along. There is more than one reason that I give this restaurant such a high classification. One, the menu selection is only complete with options that do not fall over each other. What I mean is they’re not bringing in chicken for the purpose of making 13 different chicken dishes to make the selection seem larger than it is. No, you have what has to be a carefully selected (curated even, like an art museum) menu with purpose specific ingredients that create an amazing food (I don’t say culinary, I’m not that fancy) experience. So, what did I eat? Well, my partner and I started with the charcuterie plate. It’s balance was towards meat, but the pimento cheese was out of this world! Then started my first portion of the four-course tasting menu I chose. First, I had the beef tartare. It was my first time having such a dish, so I have nothing to compare it to. It was in short, excellent. Second, I had the foie gras. Again, my first time having such a dish. It was an incredibly delicate setting of what had a consistency and luxuriousness not far from bone marrow. I have no idea why strawberry jam goes with duck liver but man, it does. Next, I had the scallops. Three good size scallops were on my plate accompanied by pork belly, soy beans, corn, chanterelle mushrooms, and a delicious sauce. This preparation was different than what’s on the online menu, but I was incredibly impressed by the execution and flavor. Again, truly luxurious. Finally, I ended with the ricotta donuts. Maple cream is spread across the plate and topped with crumbled candied bacon, delicious ice cream, and maple glazed donuts. We gave an actual standing ovation to the kitchen team as we left. Again, I place this overall dining experience as the best I’ve ever experienced at a restaurant. Not enough reasons? Ok cool. Ask for Mike D. Tell him the dude with a mustache from Wisconsin sent you. Mike took the time to go over the menu with my colleague and I and answer all of our questions as well as make recommendations based on what we thought we’d like. All of his recommendations were spot on, however the execution of the food we received leads me to believe I’d have been happy with anything I ordered. Back to Mike. I work for a multi year Stevie Award-winning company. Look it up. The service I received from Mike D. was not on any other level than what I would expect out of any of my coworkers. He is a great ambassador not only to Vida, but also for Indianapolis. A world class experience from a world class individual. Thank you Vida, for making some Midwestern dude on a business trip incredibly happy with his time here. I will do whatever it takes to come back again!

Sam Hirbod

Haven't had food this well made in a long time!

Lee Coulter

OUTSTANDING food. Simply great. That is in comparison to Chicago's foodie scene that I was active in. Great service. We will be back.

Jason N

the menu was a very pricey pre-fix. Said I would get a duck breast... Gave me two small pieces of duck.... I asked what happened to the rest of the breast. If you are going to charge $65 for dinner I should leave full. Had to stop off at a nasty taco bell finish off. Sat at a table of 8 and it took us 3 hours to get out of there.

Stephen Kosch

Food was delicious. Service was incredible

Catherine Lemley

Insane. Never been anywhere like this place. Highly recommend the 4 course tasting menu. Get the donuts!

Wayne Burrell

Perfectly tucked away in downtown Indianapolis, Vida is by far and away one of the best restaurants Indy has to offer. You literally haven't dined in Indy unless you've dined at Vida. The curb appeal is amazing. The entry, the aesthetics inside, did I mention the "wall greens"? The only thing I didn't appreciate was how helpful they were in offering to remove our plates. Almost felt as if they were rushing us. I would have liked for them to check to see if we were done with our course before coming out with the next one. Again, made me feel rushed. The food was absolutely amazing! The wait staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Definite recommend you give it a try. Book your reservation on the OpenTable app a couple weeks in advance to ensure you get a prime time spot. Otherwise you'll be lucky to get a seat at the bar.

Lewes Morgans

My family surprised me with a dinner at Vida for my 58th bday. The entire dinner was absolutely fantastic, as was the service. We have only the highest praise for the entire evening! We have visited Vida about 5 times now and every visit is wonderful. When friends ask for a great place for a special evening we immediately recommend Vida. We never have to ask how the evening went because they always rush to share special moments and thank us for the great suggestion. The restaurant is part of the Cunningham Group and recommend becoming a member. Thank you Vida!

Alexander Koczur

Simply delightful in every regard.

patrick burton

Always great food and a great wine list. Nice place for a date.

Josh R. Falcon

This gem is what you expect of fine dining. The service, hospitality, and the charisma that shines throughout Vida is unmatched by any restaurant I have visited in downtown Indy. The food is creative and delicious. Gourmet all the way. A must visit.

張植康

Fantastic! They have the seasonal menu and all the dishes are amazing! The waiter is very friendly and introduce the dishes nicely. The atmosphere is cozy and the decoration is stylish. Will definitely be the must restaurant if you are in the area

Blake Schwieters

Great service, knowledgeable staff, engaging experience!

Josh Shartzer

Vida is amazing! The food was beautiful and woke up taste buds I never knew I had. Me and my wonderful wife had a great time, the drinks were made with care! I can not wait to visit again to try another adventure within the amazing menu also to dive into the wonderful looking wine menu as well. Thank you Vida staff, Chef, we had a great time enjoying the place!

Roy Druin

Very good! Stopped in for a birthday dinner! Each meal was well prepared. Definitely a do over.

Without a doubt, the greatest food in Indianapolis and probably the entire state of Indiana. The food was impeccable, the wine incredible, and the ambiance was delightful. Probably the best meal I have ever had in my life. 5/5

April Currier

It checks every box. The food is excellent , the service is superb, and the ambiance is just right. I would highly recommend Daniel as a server!

Gloria Arra

Whoa!! Great food, great atmosphere. Top notch chef. Wow!!!! The lamb, just perfect. Service is spectacular. Oh, and those donuts.......no words.

Sylvia Gordon

I would give six stars if I could. By far the best restaurant in the state. Pricey but worth it. The six course is almost too much for me. I prefer the four course meal. Every thing, every time is excellent. Eat here. Bring those you love! My favorite item is the creative salads and desserts. They put black pepper on ice cream and it was wonderful! I have to drive an hour to get to Vida and it’s totally worth it.

The Cyrus Place

very fancy restaurant

Diego Espinosa

The best most accommodating upscale restaurant. Not only is the food some of the best, if not the best, in Indianapolis but they were very flexible in seating my party. We originally had a small group that quickly turned into a large group. They were very kind and understanding. Highly recommended.

Shreeja mothi rupchandar

Fancy food and ambiance. Good date place.

Jan Collins

Always a great restaurant. The menu is diverse and they do have a great tasting menu as well. The food is excellent as is the service. Good wine list. The venison main course was superb and the dessert donuts are a must.

Addam Vanover

Large prices, small portions, and high quality. Overall good experience other than the hole in my billfold.

aaron barlow

Excellent service. Love the donuts

Andrew Flittner

What a wonderful place to enjoy a holiday dinner! A festive atmosphere without going over the top. The food (of course) was phenomenal. The wine pairings we're perfectly selected. Our server did an excellent job of making recommendations. I recommend the root of all evil. This beat infused drink is great in winter but I look forward to enjoying it on a hot day. I've attached pictures of all the courses that we ate. Not to be missed and make sure you get a reservation.

Mike Nunmaker

Very nice meal from start to finish. The attention to detail for every ingredient in each dish was special. Very impressive

Aj Koczur

Fantastic meal as always. Everyone should eat here at least once. The portions look small, but you always come away being comfortably full for the rest of the night.

Thomas Baker

Vida is AMAZING! By far the best meal that I've had in a long time. The Staff was ultra engaging Starting with the Hostesses. We arrived 15 minutes early and had a drink at the bar. Alex, the manager was there to take us to our table right on time. Nic, our server was outstanding and very knowledgeable about the menu. We started with the roasted mushrooms with crispy kale and I had the halibut. My date had the scallops. Everything was outstanding from the decor, to the food, to the amazing staff who made sure that we had a memorable experience! I can't wait to go back!!!

Jody Cook

Fine dining at its best!

Maciej Kedziora

This is one of our favorite restaurants in Indy. Food, drinks and service are excellent. Portions are right size. Some may say small but for me just right. Drinks are very generous. Desserts suprising. Interior is modern. The only problem is finding parking around but Vida has valet service to take care of it.

Kelly Leddy

Not my thing

Daniel Morrison

This is the best fine dining spot in Indy. The four-course is an amazing value at $65 per person when you consider the artistry involved in every dish. The wine list is very good, but not so extensive that it takes an hour to pick out a wine. Valet parking is reasonable at $10. We've been to Vida 10 times and have never been disappointed.

patsy DELBERT

The food was amazing and the service was excellent! The staff really pours their passion into the food by respecting the ingredients. The fresh herbs wall in the kitchen is not only a unique sight to see but it also makes the restaurant stand out from any other restaurant in the area.

Jason Gettum

Outstanding. Great food and service.

Bill Scroggins

Good place! Full of atmosphere and good smells as you enter, they took care of us in a few minutes upon arrival. Service was great, food was better than that. The filet is out of this world fabulous.

Sheree Koester

We had an amazing experience. The food and service are first rate. Love everything about this place!

Greg Lorenz

Premium drinks for a premium price. (I've only ever been to the bar) Staff is always very friendly and welcoming if sometimes a little slow. Cannot recommend the cocktail selection enough; the head bartender is a genius.

Lauren Martinez

Vida is one of those places that is actually perfectly priced, arguably it is an absolute steal. With a 4-course create your own meal option at $65, and the current 6-course meal option at $85..., it's very hard to go wrong. With beverages options to include preselected wine pairings, reserve wine pairings, or deliciously crafted unique cocktails that vary from unique one of a kind to centuries old classics.... you're sure to find what you need

Heather Rotz

This place will never disappoint you. Will serve such good and tasty food. Great atmosphere and very friendly staff.

Joshua Black

Great place to try lots of small portions of different, amazing foods.

Michael Hart

Each course was unique and delicious. The staff was knowledgeable, courteous and didn’t miss a step!

Chris Fulwyler

Amazing food. The chef's tasting menu is incredible and waitstaff friendly. This is a fine dining experience so dont expect in and out in an hour.

Rob Regan

Every morsel of food was fantastic. Staff was friendly. Great meal!

Pam Gesellchen

I’m really conflicted about this place. The reviews are generally amazing about this place so we went in with some lofty expectations! Unfortunately, we left quite disappointed. Our waitress was average - she explained the menu well enough I suppose for a couple that had never been there before, but didn’t seem very personable and always rushing away. No big deal - it was Saturday night and they seemed quite busy. A nice man brought over an amuse bouche which was raw and I proceeded to tell him that I can’t have raw food so he politely took it back; no issues. I ordered the salmon which in no way indicated on the menu that it was partly raw (can’t eat raw at this time), but it came out looking a little undercooked in the middle. I asked someone if it was safe for me to eat and she said “it’s definitely fine... but let me check with the chef.” She then comes back to say that the chef would like to cook it a little more. Ok no problem. Unfortunately, my husband finished his entire steak before they brought back out my salmon. He even stalled a bit so we could attempt to eat together, but it was getting a bit ridiculous (his steak was fantastic so that’s a plus). They finally bring out my salmon and it was pretty good, just unfortunate I was eating solo. A manager (?) came over and asked if we were celebrating anything special so we told him our happy news and he said congrats and moved on. We honestly were expecting something to get comped or even a sincere apology, but nothing. Our waitress came back (finally - because not once did she check and see if my husbands steak was cooked properly) and proceeded to almost lecture me saying I should be more clear with the fact that I can’t have raw food. Maybe I’m naive but most nice restaurants I’ve been to ask up front if there are any dietary restrictions they should know about. I just know I can’t have raw, so I don’t order raw... easy enough. We ordered dessert and it was pretty good then our bill came. Again, no apology. No “congrats on your news - we took care of your dessert.” No “sorry about the salmon, here is a gift card for future dining.” Nothing. Not looking for a handout, just looking for stellar service from a restaurant that had such good reviews. Must have caught the staff on an off night I suppose.

Derek Ringer

Service was good. We did the $65 4 course and the tuna in course 1 was bland. Honestly, it's trying too hard to be very upscale with its tiny petite dishes. Each dish should blow my hair back. It didn't. Twice as much food and better at Livery.

Pranav Gokhale

Outstanding taste for all courses and exceptional service! They made our anniversary dinner truly memorable.

Randall Smith

Passing through Indianapolis and have some time to enjoy a high quality dining experience? Go here. Start with a craft cocktail in the bar, then head to the dining room and have the chef's tasting menu with the wine pairing. It will be worth it.

Margie Ray

I would love to visit this place again and try the other things in their menu as well. Only go there to grab a quick snack. I have had the chicken wings which are pretty good. Be mindful of the crowd and your surroundings. I have been here with my family, food is very good.

Claudia Omara

Amazing, worth every dollar! ¡Fantástico, vale cada dólar!

donkarlander .

Our experience was amazing. We have eaten here once before, and everything was great. It was even better tonight. Or server, Angie, was great. She took our food allergies into consideration for every course, even the amouse bouche. They made a special preparation for an allergy. Angie was attentive, as was the whole staff. The manager, Whitney was great. She died by our table and made sure that our experience was great. She was genuinely interested in our experience. Alex, the sommelier, made a great recommendation on a bottle of wine that we'd never heard of, and it went great with the food. He also made a pairing for our individual desserts, and they made them a perfect finish for the evening. You would be doing yourself a favor letting Vida make your evening meal a pleasure. Thank you to everyone there for an excellent evening!

We dined here during Devour Indianapolis. Our meal was fantastic! More of an experience than just a meal. And we had a wonderful waiter too. Haven't had a fine dining experience like this since I left Charleston South Carolina. Don't think I could afford to dine here with regular pricing though. Hopefully they'll participate in the next Devour event!

Cody Mile

Best. Meal. I. Have. Ever. Had. It really was. It most certainly high end dinning and you can spend 200$+ in one night BUT it was worth it.

Brittany Todd

This place was EXCELLENT! My husband and I enjoyed a great date night here. I had never been here, and my husband had only been for drinks. But we loved that it was a set price per person with a 4 course meal! The food was incredible. We loved that it wasn't your typical restaurant dishes, but nothing too crazy that we weren't sure what to get. The mini doughnuts for dessert are a MUST!

Michael Boyd

Amazing food! The ricotta doughnuts are incredible!

Emily Rhoades

Excellent menu and the service was phenomenal. Our server was very helpful and genuinely knowledgeable about the menu. I would definitely recommend for a classy date night.

Jason Wells

Another amazing meal over race weekend.. gets better every year

Steven West

Great food

Beverly Shaw

Had a lovely dinner and experience. The striploin was perfectly prepared and the wall of greens salad was delightful! Extensive menu from sweetbreads to octopus. The ricotta donuts really are not to be missed. Really.

IUHOOSIERIU

Excellent dining experience, will return again friendly staff

Melissa Davies

The Universe is a better place because the chef at Vida cooks in it. Best meal I have ever enjoyed.

Aaron Chavez

The food was great. Delightful taste and great menu, even when it was a small menu. The service was top notch and the ambience was great. We totally recommend this restaurant for a date night and or special celebration!

Dino Di

Perfect. No reason to mourn the loss of Recess after all. Vida is more beautiful, more comfortable, just as creative with impeccable service and incredible food. Plus they've got HATTIE!!! Her breads and deserts alone are a reason to worship at the Vida throne.

Thomas Arnold

Service and food, both tremendous!!

Alex Spicer

Excellent dining experience. The team members there are amazing. Nice work all around with food, service, and drink.

Josiah McCruiston

Summary: One of the best Cunningham restaurants with a pricetag from New York This hidden gem sits in the middle of a beautiful downtown community and has a great face. When you walk in the aesthetic looks playful and slightly pretentious but you are greeted by a smell that must be heaven and a kitchen that came out of a movie. The bar was slow, however it was the last day of devour and I didn't want to rush anyone. The staff had a respectful attitude and look as if they were pulled from the cool kids table. House manager looks like a stiff but was a great guy. Food from the devour menu was great. I'm going back next paycheck.

Omar Samra

Vida is fantastic. A very simple menu that still manages to offer plenty of options for everyone. Every bite is delicious and creative, but you will like some things better than others of course. Drinks were top notch too! Service was attentive without being intrusive or hovering, very well done to the staff. Don’t come here if you get all bent out of shape about prices, it’s not cheap. But compared to other places of similar price range I’d say that Vida is at or tied for the top. Would highly recommend and will be coming back. Oh - and the “great room” or whatever that room is with the fireplace is amazing. It’s got a rustic industrial style that is unique and adds to the great ambience.

Vidya Paliwal

Good food, excellent service. Although a bit on expensive side, every byte is worth its taste. As we were first timers, and with preference of vegetarian, Tim helped us to select the best of the possible combinations for all courses. The whole experience was an excellent memorable evening. Making reservations for a table is recommended.

Dana QueenofEgypt

Top of the line cuisine served in courses or chef's table. Best of Indianapolis

Casey Adams

I would think that few restaurants in Indy could compete with Vida. From the moment I walked in, I knew the dinner would be special. To the welcoming host and hostess, to the bartenders who couldn't stop talking about their favorite menu items, service is at the tip of this dining spear. The outstanding was usurped only by the delicious food. Try the veal sweetbread and yellowfin tuna to awaken the taste buds. The foie gras is some of the best I've had anywhere. You may roll your eyes when I suggest the chicken (Trust me, I did the same thing) as many do, but the bartender was so insistent I try it, I thought sure....Typical chicken, it is not. Finally, the ricotta donuts....If they only sold the ricotta donuts, they would still be one of the best restaurants in Indy. One of the best desserts I've ever had. They're that good.

Georgian Kutianski

Food and service were excellent. Staff very helpful in pairing wines. Rather pricey but worth it.

Teo S

Delicious food, nice presentation, great customer service, nice atmosphere. The tables for 2 were a bit too close to each other for my taste. I could hear “our neighbours” conversations. One recommendation about the food: foie gras tastes disgusting when is warm/hot (in my opinion). I had it before and still didn’t like it! You should specify in your menu that foie gras comes warm! If I knew, I would have picked something else. Everything else was good.

Michael Tracey

Since relocating from the UK two years ago we have found Vida to be our favourite restaurant. Fantastic service with quality food. We never feel rushed and always find it such a relaxing experience. Many thanks to all staff at Vida.

Gozen Hartman

We were lucky enough to get a last minute table here when we were in to run the half marathon. What a way to celebrate a successful race. Impeccable service, a beautiful space and delicious food. We’ll be back!

Justin Goodin

Amazing food and service. Will definitely be back.

Andrew Everhart

Delicious multi-course meal with wine pairing. Very nice place for a special night out or entertaining an out of town client. Can’t wait to return!

My favorite restaurant! A limited menu but still something for everyone. Beautifully prepared food and great service. Pricey, but you pay for this kind of quality. Well worth it.

I found this place while looking for a nice dinner with my wife before a show and Lucas Oil Stadium. We enjoyed the Chef tasting menu which was creative and delisted. The staff was very accommodating to our time frame and my wife’s food restrictions while pregnant. Food and drinks were excellent. Staff was super friendly and professional. Decor was minimalist modern with nice patio and pass through fireplace. Recommended if you are looking for a nice dinner and great alternative to the heavier steakhouses and breweries downtown.

Katherine Forman

My husband and I took our parents here for our annual Christmas dinner this year. It was amazing from start to finish. Daisy was our server, and she was phenomenal. She was so sweet and friendly and always present but never intrusive. The entire staff worked well together to provide a flawless experience. We even had the pleasure of being served by their sommelier, Roddy. Everyone seemed to enjoy working there, which always makes for a great atmosphere. Oh and the food - absolutely incredible! Every detail was thought out well and executed to perfection. Everyone in the kitchen should be proud of what they are doing. If you haven't been here yet, you're missing out.

Excellent food and great service. Expect to pay as much as the steakhouse chains, but well worth it. Kudos to the chef!

wonderful date night location

I went to Vida with 3 others yesterday. We each ordered differently and each of us was impressed with the food and service. Vida has two fixed priced menu options one for $65 and one for $85 which can be had with a wine pairing for as n additional fee. All the green vegetables where grown on a wall in the restaurant. We chose the $65 option. The $65 menu has 4 courses and each course has 4 options. The portions aren't large but having 4 courses completely makes up for that. The food had a beautiful presentation and was delicious and flavorful.

Brandon Taylor

Great great establishment, one of the best dining experiances in indy. After the meal, i was fortunate enough to get a tour from our server. We went towards the end of the night and were among the last diners on a Saturday night. They showed us there meat drying/curing room, explained the architecture, and showed off the hydroponic living wall which is literally a vertical garden. The kitchen and service staff were happy to be there and it showed at every moment.

Katy Allen

Absolutely one of the best restaurants in Indianapolis! The service was STELLAR! The food was incredible. There was so much thought and creativity put into each and every dish. You can pick from a 4 or 6 course menu and they have a chefs tasting menu as well. Great wines, ambience, just overall did not disappoint at all. Attire is business casual, valet parking out front. The tasting menu and service at Vida never disappoint. This is my go-to special occasion restaurant. Stay woke Indianapolis.

Excited to celebrate Father's Day and try the Tasting Menu I was anticipating for my first visit to Vida. Dining with my wife and sister who were ordering a la carte I was told I could NOT have the tasting menu because it was only offered for the entire table and the waitress told me there were no exceptions. Disappointed, I made do with the other choices. I understand they have reasons for their policy for but this customer see no reason to return.

It's on the pricier range of the spectrum, with limited choices, but has consistently been my best dining experience in Indy.

Always a great restaurant. The menu is diverse and they do have a great tasting menu as well. The food is excellent as is the service. Good wine list. The venison main course was superb and the dessert donuts are a must.

Just fun!

We started with an Amuse Bouche of trout belly, goat cheese, and caper, which was a perfect start for what was to come. First course was the Scallop Tiradito. The sauce was surprisingly (in a very good way) spicy. Scallop was perfectly cooked (that goes for everything else here). The Reisling complimented it very well. The second course was the Stonefruit which again had very surprising

Kate Neary

I loved Vida. I think the portions are small, but seems to be tasting menu style. The flavor choices are amazing. And it's in an old building that really tastefully decorated in a midcentury style. The music is audible, but low. Perfect. Service was stellar. Food, delicious. Went as part of devour.

Patrick Hall

Exceptional service, fantastic food, overall one of the best dining experiences I have ever had in Indianapolis. If you haven't been, add Vida to the top of your must try list.

Chris Trowbridge

My 1 experience here was fantastic! Interesting and well made cocktails. Dinner was among the very few fantastic meals I've had in Indy.

Tim Taylor

Delicious courses, tasty drinks, laid back atmosphere, knowledgeable staff. Thoroughly enjoyable meal...

Pete Burton

We ate dinner at Vida last night to celebrate a few birthdays coming this week. It might have been the best meal I've ever eaten at a restaurant! The service was on point, no waiting for anything, drop a fork, a new fork appears! A little water spilled on your napkin, a new napkin appears! Need a drink, server on top of it! But the food was the fantastic! Everything was cooked to perfection. The flavors were put together with thought and precision. 5 people ordered mostly different items, we were all sharing bite off of each others plates all night. The pace of dinner was thoughtful as well. Enough time to sit, share, and enjoy the company of friends and the great food. It was great way to celebrate the birthdays, but a better way to celebrate Indys food game! Thanks Vida!

Chris Capehart

Whitney took such great care of us!!!

Excellent food& atmosphere

Chris Simmerman

The best local restaurateur Cunningham Group has to offer. Impeccable wine list and the bacon and maple glazed ricotta donuts are to die for!

Matthew Holland

It's a very nice restaurant. The menu changes often and everything is made fresh. However the portions are small for the price. It's definitely a "date night" restaurant, not a regular dining location. Be prepared to spend over $100 for a dinner for 2.

Nathan Pendleton

Wonderful experience. Great place for people who believe dinner should be an event!

Marcia Powell

We would have to say Vida is our favorite restaurant in Indianapolis!! The service was awesome, thanks so much Nick for taking such great care of us, we had the best time!! The food is absolutely delicious, we tried different dishes and loved them all. The desert is so very yummy especially the donuts and ice cream. Try this great restaurant it will keep you coming back for more.

Zachary Taylor

Went here for dinner, place very relaxed. The food I would recommend, but make sure you plan ahead and have a table. The price is high, but it's nothing that I didn't expect.

Alastair Wade

Vida would hold its own in any US major big city. Excellent food, excellent service, fabulous ambience. Almost certainly my favorite Indy fine dining restaurant. Don't hesitate, just go!

Stephanie Shaner

Holy cow! Seriously great food with great service served at the perfect place!

Ken Jones

Outstanding. Just days ago we'd had dinner at a Michelin-starred restaurant in San Francisco, and we found Vida far superior. Each dish was delicious, with an interesting combination of flavors. The wine pairings were spot on, and the cocktails delightfully inventive. Service was professional and cordial. Definitely worth a visit.

Lennart Yseboodt

Great food and nice atmosphere. AC too cold.

Daniel Duzenbury

Underwhelming for the price point, but creative. The service was fine and the good tasted nice. It was a bit slow but that's to be expected with the type of presentation offered. Still, at the price the flavors should be more complimentary of one another and the textures should be much better done. A fun date, but more of a one-off experience.

Detelin Nedkov

A little pricey but the food is fantastic

Arch and Brow Studio

Vida is wonderful. The food is absolutely delicious! I have been there 3 times and have not had one thing I did not like. It is a tad expensive but overall a great experience to go for a splurge dinner.

Michael Thibideau

One of the best places to eat in Indy. Presentation, service, and cuisine were on par with 1 Star Michelin restaurants in Chicago. If they have it, get the smoked cherry salad. I never thought a salad could haunt my dreams.

Brittney Shaner

We have been here multiple times and it never disappoints! The cocktails and food are excellent!! I love that the cocktail syrups are homemade, food is local, and they even grow their own greens on the wall via a hydroponic system!

Robin Long

Always a great restaurant. The menu is diverse and they do have a great tasting menu as well. The food is excellent as is the service. Good wine list. The venison main course was superb and the dessert donuts are a must.

Maik B

Excellent! Tasting Food around the World and this was one of my favourites. Great Food and Service and perfect decoration.

Lady Sapphire

Very delicious but expect it to accompany a pricey price. Loved the espresso & dessert. Serving sizes are small.

Adam Burke

The atmosphere is very relaxed. The drinks took a while to come out but we're very good. The food was absolutely perfect and paired week with the drinks. We were surprised by the shear volume of the bourbon selection. The bar was dimmed down and provided the perfect atmosphere to relax after a long day at work. We took the opportunity to kick back and unwind. If the drinks had come out faster I would have rates this a five. The price point is a little high but not ridiculous. It is on par with other higher end restaurants in down town, but I would place them in the bottom third of the nicer restaurants. The atmosphere is very relaxed. Part of me wanted to give this place 4 stars. But this place is fantastic and deserves 5. Why did I think about four stars it is EXPENSIVE And you do not get much food. You are allowed to order ala carte but never do that. The plates here are small and ordered individually are 100% not worth it. What you get would be outstanding but for $40 getting something the size of a small appetizer not worth it. They do offer a tasting menu and that really is what this restaurant is designed for. They have a 4 course I think it's $68. With the 4 course you can pick whatever appetizer entree dessert you want off the menu. They also have a 6 course Chefs menu , that is set. It was $84? When I went. The service here was some of the best high-end service I've ever had. It's formal but not stuffy. All of the dishes I've had here were very subtle in taste but complex in flavor. The desserts were very strong in flavor while still being extremely complex. Both dishes and desserts were fantastic. The Cunningham Restaurant Group always seems to do places that are very nice and exactly what I'm looking for in whatever type of restaurant they do. This one is no exception to that rule. I will never be back here often I just can't spend that kind of money eating out. But for a special occasion I will likely be back.

Went last night. As with all Cunningham restaurants, this place really missed the mark. Maybe it’s a Midwestern thing. Certain food was horribly over-salted, my shrimp course was raw (no indication of it whatsoever on the menu), and dessert was too sweet. I’ve had better food on a cruise ship. The chefs show creativity, but miss hard on technique. Cook the damned shrimp, it tastes better. It *tastes*. Your biscuits are salty disks. The tuna lacks quality and distinction. Your poached pear has a fishy after-taste (bad when pear tastes more like fish than the shrimp course.) Overpriced for the quality. We are effectively done with Cunningham. Nothing to see here, or anywhere else.

Koji Ok

We have been to Vida for 3-4 times in the past 2 years and we think it got better. We think the service got better too. Vida does a good job not overpowering with spices to bring out the taste of the ingredients. Vida also does very well on presenting and decorating food with colors on the plates. Will go back again. One of the top restaurants in Indy for sure in our mind.

ALLISON CROUCH

The food was amazing and the service was excellent! The staff really pours their passion into the food by respecting the ingredients. The fresh herbs wall in the kitchen is not only a unique sight to see but it also makes the restaurant stand out from any other restaurant in the area.

Khalil Breidi

Good but overpriced

Christopher Ruiz

Still stunned at how incredible this experience was. Top notch service, unbelievable food. Will be dreaming of the ricotta donuts for weeks. Pastry chef is extremely talented. All the courses were unique/innovative and prepared perfectly. The wine pairings are top quality as well. Highest recommendations.

Lindsay Blackburn

My favorite resturant in Indy. I always do the four course option and with the menu always changing, each time I go I have a different but amazing experience

Owen Wald

This has been the best dining experience I have ever had. Instantly became my favorite place to eat - the food was actually flavorful and worth every penny. Yes they are more expensive than your "normal" restaurants around town but the food is far better than anything these other restaurants are offering. I am not sure what issue others were having with service but I enjoy going out and have a dinner experience of new foods and tastes and Vida did not disappoint. Our server was excellent and explained anything that went over our heads.

Linda Taylor

First time to eat there. Food was excellent. Hope to visit again

Joshua Mcnorgan

This is just 8 blocks from our present home. It is our restaurant of choice on special occasions. The adaptive reuse of a historic old building is handled creatively and you know that you are in a very special place. The menu is a unique blend of locally produced meats and produce. They have a large hydroponic salad garden. The menu is price fix or al a carte. I have never been disappointed. I absolutely love this place. Food items are thoughtfully presented on the menu and they have a tasting menu with wine pairings. Very few places have this in Indy and even less than that do it correctly.

Brianna Moss

Hands down the best place to celebrate a special occasion!! Wall Greens, Soft Shell Crab, Foie Gras and Ricotta Doughnuts are a must!! Service is top notch, you will not be disappointed!!

Dave Schwimmer

EAT HERE IMMEDIATELY!

Fiona Avery

Amazing place!!!! great food and quick service!!!!staff was very cooperative and friendly. 5 star for a delicious food. thanks guys.

Christine Carr

Everything was wonderful. The staff the food. Highly recommend

Thomas Besluau

It's on the pricier range of the spectrum, with limited choices, but has consistently been my best dining experience in Indy.

Nicholas Lester

Always a great restaurant. The menu is diverse and they do have a great tasting menu as well. The food is excellent as is the service. Good wine list. The venison main course was superb and the dessert donuts are a must.

Daniel Gardner

Just fun!

Emma Williamson

Bryn Foreman

I don’t quite know where to begin with this review. For our anniversary, my partner and I went to Vida and got the six course tasting menu. We both can say unequivocally that this was the best meal we’ve ever had. Every single bite was complex, flavorful, and bright. The ingredients were all noticeably fresh - the hydroponic herb wall helped with that - and the wine pairings were perfect. It was undoubtedly pricey, but the meal was worth its weight in gold. Our server, Nick, was very professional, and knowledgeable about the menu. The chef clearly knows what he’s doing, and Indianapolis is lucky to have such a wonderful spot.
