They accommodated us,we came as a group of 9 accidentally after the lunch buffet. They are such a sweet family owned restaurant. Excellent service can't wait to go back before 3:00 next time. They made that place look so good the building used to look very dark inside. It's very inviting and the food is delicious. The tandoori chicken was perfect!

We were were looking to try something new and came across Tandoori Flame. I had the shrimp curry my husband had the chicken masala. Great portions, we had leftovers. The food was amazing. Everything is very fresh including the spices. The naan with fresh cheese and spices was a perfect compliment to our meal. We came in near closing and were treated like it was the middle of the day. Very pleasant and knowledgeable staff. The makeover to this building is amazing. Very bright and clean. We will be back!

Went today for the lunch buffet. The food was absolutely incredible and there were several options available. Everything was hot and fresh and had the perfect amount of spice. I’ve been to all of the Indian buffets around here (the Clay Pot, India Garden, etc) and this was by far the best I’ve had. The staff was also extremely attentive and it was an overall wonderful experience. Do yourself a favor and check this place out as soon as you can.

Great food! My husband ordered the goat curry, and it was the most delicious food I've eaten in recent memory. So so flavorful and rich. Best garlic naan I've ever had too. Palak paneer was on point. Chicken Tikka was just okay. White meat instead of dark made it dry. Their masala tea was to die for, thick and sweet and spicy. This will be our new go to Indian restaurant.

There’s always lots of dishes to choose from and we’ve even had some things there that we’ve not seen at other Indian restaurants. Great flavor, great service and for just $24 for two people, now that’s a win! This is our go to spot!

The Food is Wonderful. I love going to the Buffet that they have at lunch. You can try so many different things. Chicken Tikki Marsala, Butter Chicken, Rice. Veggie dishes, and so many other dishes. Their Chai Tea is out of this world. The Owners and the People who run Tandoori Flame are very nice and the food is ABSOLUTELY wondermous. Have been at least a dozen times plus since they have been open. THEIR NAAN IS VERY GOOD TOO!

I have gone twice for the buffet. The service is pretty good, they are attentive and quick. The food is mostly delicious. A couple of the items have been old and sitting there for awhile but all of the fresh options make up for it. They have plenty of options, several chicken options and also lamb. They had some vegetation options too. I am not a fan of buffets but this place is great.

It’s one of the best & unique Indian buffets I’ve been to! They have a chaat station that they make with fresh spices, which are delicious. The staff were very friendly and would check up on us regularly. I definitely recommend this place to everyone because it’s a great restaurant that also includes some western food along with the delicious Indian food! The decor is also very nice and chic, which is great for pictures!

This was our first foray into Indian cuisine as a family. I can say that it was a total success and tremendously enjoyable! We were unfamiliar with most of the dishes so we took some chances and got adventuresome. I ordered a spicy lamb dish called lamb madrasi and my wife ordered a goat, (yes goat!), dish called goat madrasi. They were fantastic! Very flavorful and incredibly tender. BTW - if you're looking for spicy food, you will find heat to rival your most volcanic of Thai dishes here! As good as the madrasi dishes were, the standout for us was the shrimp Tikka Masala. The creamy vindaloo sauce set it head and shoulders above everything else we tried. The menu is VERY extensive so I can see us returning for quite awhile in order to experience all it has to offer. All of this was punctuated by a polite and attentive wait staff that was a perfect complement to our evening. Highly recommended!

The food is delicious and authentically Indian, even if the architecture and style may be more fitting for a German pub. The breads are all incredibly flavorful, and the options of both savory and sweet naan is such a treat. The menu also features a wide variety of entrees, with lots of protein choices. The namesake tandoori dishes have been wonderful. I had never had tandoori paneer before, now it’s one of my favorite meals! I only wish there were more veggies (it was primarily onion) in the tandoori dishes. The service was very polite and fast. Overall, we’ve had two great experiences here and we’ll definitely be back.

My husband and I went for the lunch buffet today. The food was awesome. All of the Indian buffet standards (including samosas, which are my favorites) were there, but they all had an extra kick of flavor, but not heat. They also had a few things I had never seen before. We will be eating there again.

Excellent Indian buffet on Friday night. They have amazing food and they even include Biryani options with the buffet and Chai. The atmosphere is great as well as the service. Make sure though to check your receipt, we didn't realize we were charged gratuity for 5 people so we tipped twice.

The lunch buffet is delicious. Great food for a great price! It had 8 to 10 hot dishes, rice, sauces and a couple of deserts. Every one I tried was cooked to perfection. The decor was surprisingly refreshed, clean, and inviting. A string of unsuccessful restaurants has been in and out of this building over the last decade but it seems like the current occupant takes great pride in not only the food but the whole experience.

There are not a lot of Indian food restaurants around but this one is worth the drive for me. Great authentic food! The spices are so flavorful. Lunch buffet is reasonably priced. This is near the interstate and movie theatre. I look forward to going here again soon.

Worst Biryani I ever have. That was not even a Biryani. It was like a chicken khichidi with big pieces of onions and a lot of capsicum. Earlier I had bad experience with goat karahi and I thought that was incident but again same disappointment. Don’t go to this place.

Spice levels are catered to the individual, as I had mild Chicken Shahi Korma and the wife had medium Chicken Curry. Helpful staff in a family business environment. Plenty of rice included and it filled me right up. Next time we are in the area, we will definitely be stopping by, maybe for the $11.99 weekend buffet.

Good food comparable to India palace but a bit better I think. Located in a defunct steak and ale. It's an absolute modge podge of decoration inside but the food it's what we came for right? Would be nice with more selections but maybe in time. I've heard the chicken majestic is the bomb but on my visit it was not on the buffet. Guess I'll have to make another visit here! :)

Very reasonably priced, and very high quality fresh ingredients! Best to be patient and allow the staff to show you options and not be afraid to try new dishes! They are all wonderful! We will be back soon! We had the coconut lamb curry, and chicken tandori, after appetizers of chick pea and cheese with mint sauce and other sauces! The garlic bread was fresh out of the oven! Delicious! We had a Strawberry drink that was so good! Very light - not heavy like a milkshake - extremely refreshing! The inside is bright and cheerful, along with the staff!

This is one of the most delicious Indian meals we have ever eaten. The menu is extensive and varied and caters for all tastes of Indian cuisine. Food was absolutely delicious. I wish I could rate them 10 out of 5 stars, that's how good they were! 1st time here, and I wasn't expecting anything special from an Indian lunch buffet, based on past buffet experiences. So glad we tried it! The buffet had a large variety of items, for both vegetarians and meat-eaters. The paneer tikka masala was actually my fave over the meat items, which is odd. Of course this is not saying the meat items weren't delicious as well. Many Indian restaurants I've went to, seem to have some type of chewy meat. This place's meat...was like butter...they melted in your mouth, so tender!! The service was good, the staff was nice, I can't recommend them enough! I only hope enough people try them so they stay in business!! Their location is in the old Steak and Ale/Polo Club building in Southern Plaza. Do yourself a favor...if you like Indian food, GO HERE. $10.99 per person for the lunch buffet.

Tandoori Flames is one of the finest Indian Cuisine Restaurant in Indianapolis. To start with the ambiance of the Restaurant is very appealing which i always complain about all other Indian restaraunt's around Indianapolis that most of them have pretty dark lighting or dull interior but this place is very well lit and lively. They have plenty of seating options and have a seperate bar area. When you sit of dining they serve complimentary Papad which is baked and little bigger and thinner version of chips. I ordered Reshmi kebab which was cooked very well and tasted amazing. I also ordered Rogan Josh mutton and malai Kofta ( vegetarian dish) and both tasted amazing. It's a over all amazing experience being here. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Over all 5 out of 5 for ambience 4.5 out of 5 for food quality and 4.5out of 5 on cleanliness. A must visit place if you are looking for authentic indian cusine.
