Our family dines here often. The family who owns and runs this restaurant are so nice! You can tell with the food and all the upgrades that they put their heart into their business. The food is great, especially the tacos and green taco sauce (the green taco sauce kept me coming back!). Nice environment and prices are very reasonable. There have been several restaurants in this location prior and I am happy this one has survived.

How have I lived so close to this place and never visited? From the outside, it looks like a hole in the wall at the end of a strip mall. Inside? It's clean, decorated nice without being over the top and the wooden floor is fantastic to look at. The menu is extensive. Take your time. While you're stuffing your face with house made chips, get the guacamole. It's made to order and it's made authentic. I ordered three (3) tacos. Corn shells. Keep it real. You want soft shells? There's a Taco Bell nearby, I imagine. Chicken steak and pork were all flavorful. The cilantro and onion didn't over power the tacos as they sometimes do at other places. Two other sauces complimented my dish well. Our server was attentive. And she was busy. She had several tables all to herself and she does her job quite well. The wife and I will most definately be making return visits.

Service was great but the food was disappointing. I was looking for a good taco joint with some authentic Mexican tacos but I didn't find that here. I ordered carne asada tacos. The meat was dry and there were so many pieces of fat. My sister ordered carne asada and barbacoa. She said the barbacoa had a weird taste and she couldn't even finish it. Atmosphere and service was great but they need new cooks.

Worst Mexican food experience my fiance and I have ever had. We just moved to Indianapolis from southern California. I was already a little skeptical since we come from the land of amazing Mexican food, but holy cow it was so bad. The salsa tasted like canned tomato sauce and liquid smoke. The sauces they brought out were equally unappetizing which is sad because I really enjoy condiments. The carne asada tacos were tasteless and bland, even after drowning them in lime juice. The chimichanga was burnt dark brown and covered in some kind of cheese sauce? Like pretty much Velveeta. My fiance ordered the oysters and they came room temperature and tasted... not fresh. They messed up on my son's bean and cheese burrito by putting grey looking ground beef in it. Even the draft Modelo tasted off. Idk how this place is so well rated. I'm hesitant to try anything else now because if this is 5 stars in Indianapolis I guess I'm just going to have to learn to make everything at home. The staff was nice, though, and the restaurant was clean and nice looking, which is why I gave it two starts instead of one.

Really great customer service. Reason for my two star review is al pastor tacos had more fat than meat in it. I don’t know if it’s supposed to be like that at this restaurant but I’ve never had that problem elsewhere. It was unedible for my gf and I, which sucked. We also ordered some dessert, 2 flans, and we got 2 cheesecakes instead.

Do not ignore this "Hole In The Wall" establishment. Hidden gem is best description. Several Mexican beers on tap with some great food!! Small, but very intimate. Servers on the floor tag teamed all tables to provide great service. My go to Mexican eatery on east side. Job well done Tacos A La Diabla!!

I have been a fan since they started out. I first tasted their delicious food straight out of the food truck they operated. I could always find them in the Liberty Bell parking lot. The food is superior and the quality of their service is wonderful. They are by far my favorite taco and chimichanga spot in Indy!! My son and husband are also fans. My husband loves that they always have cold beer available and that they are fast.

I'm over 50 years old I thought I've had some of the worst food in my life until I ate at this restaurant. The ground beef tastes like flavored cat food I sent back the tamale it's just dry cornmeal cakes around three pieces of nasty, nasty, nasty did I mention NASTY pork and then it was burnt the worst of all when they brought chips and salsa in the beginning the chips are not only stale, that they were rotten (like they kept ALL the unused chips in a barrel and dolled them out to unsuspecting cuatomers... I wonder what that burnt sour taste was in my mouth and if two three more chips it was the same. They smelled worse, I still have it lingering. I complained she brought me a new chips saying they're not going to make new ones until this evening it's the same as what I just had. I would have hopped in my car ran down to the grocery store and bought some chips and came right back but no they brought me the same exact horrible smelling and tasting chips. I'm about to call the board of food in safety to have them inspect this whole place. I even asked them if there's a different cook in the day or evening she said it's all the same OMG, if there was a plague it probably started here!!! I've had some bad food in my life seriously this tops it by 4 times at least she took the charge for the tamale off but I walked away from the quesadilla I bought after one bite and I barely ate into the burritos worst experience of my life okay third worst experience the first and second was thinking about coming here and actually coming here

The food and atmosphere is really good with two exceptions. While I was there children were there screaming and this place loves Chipotle peppers, it was in all the red sauses. I can take the kids but can't take the peppers and because of that I won't be back. Sorry, just personal preference.

Having lived in Illinois there are an abundance of great Mexican restaurants to go to.. This place is ok. The waitress was nice. Our food was served about 20 minutes after we ordered. Guacamole was brown on mine and my husband's plate. I ordered the El pastor Chimichangas and it was salty. In need of an actual bar/bartender. The rice was very good. The shrimp nacho appetizer was good, needed a little more queso though.. It looked clean when we walked in and the menus didn't have food or dirty fingerprints on them.

Man! I was looking for a good mexican place east indy. I read reviews about this place a couple times before i got the courage to try them. Let me tell you what!!! Tacos are A1. I haven't tried anything else but oh boy did I got back the very next day. Chicken and pastor yes yes YES!

If you want authentic cuisine, this is it. Many different dishes, with lots of options to try. Brain, tongue, and tripe available. The carnitas, pastor, and chirizo are all super flavorful and well prepared. Staff is helpful but not overly attentive - which is great in this setting. Bottled coke is available as well as several other south of the border favorite drinks. Tacos A La Diabla has come a long way from its food truck roots.

The jalapeno sauce is AMAZING!! We get this stuff to go regularly. I've tried making it at home but they won't share their secrets and it's just not worth the effort if it doesn't taste as good. Their tacos are authentic and their service is very friendly. This is in one of the top three best Mexican restaurants on the Far East Side!

Nice little restaurant on the east side of the city! The atmosphere was cool, they had a very limited selection of drinks though. I ordered 3 Diablo tacos (Pollo, carnitas and steak) and they were AMAZING! The red hot sauce was the best and even tho you have to play extra for the lettuce, cheese and pico... is not a proper taco without them! The reason for taking off 2 stars is because A.) The chips and salsa were subpar. The salsa was watery and chips not exactly crispy but like hard. B.) My wife is vegetarian and even tho Mexican food is easily converted for vegetarians, this waitress seemed super uninterested in accommodating. We asked for vegetarian options she recommends and she said NOTHING! The wife asked if she could get her tacos with roasted peppers and onions and the waitress simply stared at her, pointed to the menu and said this is what comes on it so you wanna order it...like WHAT?! It kind of made our experience a bit less enjoyable but nonetheless, it was good and maybe I'd only go in to pick up some tacos for a guys night or something.

Always 5 stars. If you want tacos, get three of their tacos on corn tortillas, everything on them (onions, cilantro) and then get their sauces that they make in house! Yum! I always get the shrimp and my husband always gets the fish!

We come here probably once a week. The tacos are inexpensive and authentic. Do yourself a favor, and try the red and green sauces that come with the tacos! Both are delicious and only have a tiny bit of heat.

I love the food here. The chips are fresh and the salsa is flavorful (includes cilantro). Today I got the chicken chimichanga. I would have liked a little more cheese sauce but it was still very good. I normally get their tacos. They are known for their spicy tacos (diablo). They are too spicy for me but my husband loves them. You can get different meats in the taco and I've tried the steak, carnita, pork, tongue, cheek, and brain. I like the steak and tongue the best. The tacos come in soft flour or soft corn shells with onions, cilantro, and lime wedges. They do have more American tacos as well. Reasonable prices as well as tasty, generous portions of food make a very enjoyable meal

Me and my husband love this place, Best tacos ever! Went tonight got same as we always do, for carry out.. like we always do.... was the worse ever tonight! ! Taco shells were old, and seemed store bought. The chips were stale also seemed store bought. And the cheese, I won't ever get from there again it was diffently store bought, wasn't even the normal color not impressed at all!
