Old time favorite! I used to come here in the late 70's... great food then too!

chad harvel

This restaurant has some of the best food around. The staff is very friendly and prompt with service. I love coming here to eat. The bbq is phenomenal when they have it.

Jan Maci

Quickly seated, food was good, inexpensive, and the place is about the same as it was ever since 1960. Most items made in house, many from their own recipes! You know it's good when you see tables of cops and powerline crewmen eating there!

Richara Coleman

Friendly staff, food comes out fast! Pretty good nachos.

Jill Mabry

Love the staff they treat us like family. Even hug us when we come in. Food is fantastic. But the love shown is even better❤

Buggys X

Food is tolerable not the best in town nothing special. This place is a 1950 called said they want their place back. They never seem to keep it clean and the staff is rude. The bathrooms are nasty poop all over the walls and smells like straight sewage. Flies were on my food. Never going here again.

Mrala Edoc

Surprisingly a pleasant experience! Quaint, old-time interior lent a rustic setting to extremely good food! Excellent service! & Clean amenities. Service staff was accommodating of special requests, pleasantly tolerant of individual needs & circumstances & appreciative of our compensations in return. A must return to place & experience.

Kevin Richeson

Been eating here for years and love it! Favorite restaurant in town. Cassie is a wonderful server too! And the food? Insane! Beef and noodles is amazing!

C Jared

Hands down, best tenderloin I've ever had!

Brett Odom

Love this place. Today I discovered that they have the best French Onion soup ever! Good food, great service.

Aaron King

I've been going in here since I moved into the neighborhood in '07. I love "chicken velvet" Tuesdays.. and the chicken philly is awesome. The staff are friendly and helpful. I would recommend any afternoon, but especially Tuesdays. ;)

Southern Patriot

My family at there for $65 which was 5 entrees. The chicken fried steak was very tender but peppery. The famous Hoosier sandwich was tasty. Everybody agreed the food was good. The server which had moved here from Colorado was VERY NICE. She was personable amd helful with suggestions.

Gerald Collins

Average food and below average service. I prefer to patronize locally owned businesses, but you have to meet me half way. They seem to have a regular clientele. I wish them well. I will not be back.

Andrew James

Beef and noodles were on point, soda was good, strawberry cake was good. The service was fast and friendly and they were on top of our needs. The negatives were: the sweet tea could have been sweeter, the corn didn’t have much flavor, and the restaurant is in need of a remodel (especially the restrooms).

Dawn Wiseman

Great food. Service a little slow.

Patrick Harless

Great lunch experience!!! The full parking lot should tell you something about that food and service!! Don't let that deter you from coming in, having a seat and getting a great meal at a great price! They do a marvelous job of handling a full house quickly, efficiently and with a smile on their faces!!

Megan Rittenhouse

Good food, cheap prices and great service.

Andrew Borton

Good food and generous portions. Reasonable price. Very nostalgic.

Debra Burrows

First time we had a sad meal at this restaurant. Was unhappy to see a fatty 1/4 inch thick "10 oz Ribeye" Very sad showing for my $20.00 plate.

Tom Hipple

French onion soup has too much sugar and not enough onions

Jesse May

Great food. Good price. Great staff. Small, needs updated and thorough cleaning.

Kurt Parker

I really have nothing bad to say.... Very cool place... The service is outstanding... My coffee never ran out... Its been here for a long time... Great food.. Superb price too

Trine Jackson

I had the fish with onion rings. Yummy. Best onion rings in Indianapolis!

Christopher Doran

As always, impeccable, friendly service and fabulous comfort food.

Dylan Hansen

I love the place, there tenderloins are amazing, it could use an expansion tho it's really crowded on the inside, I would give a 5 star but took almost an hour for my food, last time I went it was about 15mins.

Jason Richter

Highly recommend, great food and fast with friendly service

Chris Costa

Man. Probably my favorite restaurant in Indy. Always have it delivered via Uber Eats and its always excellent. Country fried chicken dinner with white gravy is my go to. Should of taken a pic bf I ate half of it;) Highly recommend!

Devin Staples

I thoroughly enjoyed this place, until not once but twice was my DELIVERY order messed up, two days in a row. When I call to mention it I receive such a horrible attitude. I order VERY frequently, literally everyday. But now I will take my business elsewhere.

Brennan Newlin

Amazing service and flavorful food!! Definitely worth a stop

For an old establishment created in the 60's, it isn't a bad place. Staff is friendly, nice "family" feeling and they're WI-FI equipped. Nice to see the "mom & pops" meeting with the needs of the future. A bit over priced but it would be a good "first date" location.

I’m from Texas, and Steer-Inn has the *best* chicken fried steak I’ve had outside of Texas. I don’t know if their chefs are from Texas, but their CFS is amazingly authentic. Steer-Inn’s stacked club sandwich is not to be missed. Saturday morning breakfast is *sumptuous*. Some of the best pancakes I’ve eaten, and surprisingly light. Deliciously filling breakfast at very reasonable prices. Steer-Inn is to Indianapolis what Kerbey Lane and Hyde Park Bar and Grille are to Austin — but Steer Inn is WAY more affordable, with MUCH less attitude. Hint: get the coconut cream pie. It’s to DIE for!

Thomas Mann

great diner. Nothing fancy but solid menu choices and good service. Everyone loves the beef and noodles. I don't understand the appeal but I'm told it's a native Indiana thing ...

Andre country

The service was great and the food very delicious....

Mattie Horne

I loved it the food was excellent.the staff was very polite i am looking forward to returning love it

Angel Harlow

Awesome guys in the back SO NICE AND HELPFUL

Wesley N Gilmore

Dude! This place is fun! Huge, delicious, food options. Fun waiters. Great experience.

Colleen Kenna

I got the fried chicken country dinner. Lots of food, tastes great! I'm picky about the quality of my chicken and this was perfect! The old fashioned cherry coke is a bonus as well. Service is always friendly and the atmosphere is cozy.

Kyle O'Malley

This place has it all. Most impressed with the Biscuits and Gravy, the burgers, and the pulled pork tacos. Prices are great, service is even better.

Donna Foster

Surprisingly a pleasant experience! I had the best steak of my life here!

Holly Giffin

Best fried mushrooms I have ever had. We had a big group great service.

Frank Patterson

Great staff and amazing food. Large portions without feeling overwhelmed. Will go again soon!

Steven Pierce

Good food at good proce.

Ron D

I went in for the first time ever today. Often told to me were horror tells of others past experiences. The worst from me is that the waiters or hard of hearing. Be prepared to repeat yourself.

David Luja-King

Place is old and worn around the edges, but you get old by being good. This place is very good, as was the service from Beca. The portions are huge and the prices were not. The bbq sauce is homemade, thick, sweet, smoky, and tastes like a back yard cookout. The Irish Nachos were not all that good, but everything else was fantastic!

Cash Bouvier

They do breakfast, lunch, and dinner. And they do it all well. Fairly local and an overall good diner.

Shalynn Thomas

Pie good? Food good? Service good? Everything is good! 10/10 would recommend

It's a Dinner. The breakfast was excellent and well worth the price. Everyone was well fed and it set us up for the rest of the day. The sersice was friendly and efficient.

Black S

Came in for lunch with colleagues from work for the first time. Everybody had a good time. It didn’t take a long time until our order was taken and accurately arrived on our table, even after with a couple sides changes made later on. I was surprised with the use of a mini iPad to take the order and pay our bills, something you wouldn’t expect to see in a historic and a classic establishment like this but yet there they are utilizing the technology increasing efficiency and accuracy. We had variety orders of American classic, from the Black and Blue burger to the Reuben sandwich, with tots or hand breaded onion rings for the sides, and it was the best onion rings I’ve ever had! The thick angus burgers were very juice and cooked to perfection. I had it medium rare. The bun was soft but crunchy. The size was well balanced, not to big that you have problem eating it but not too small that you feel “where is my burger”. The waitress was very attentive and friendly despite she had to serve so many tables almost simultaneously, and still managed to get the orders accurately - you don’t see that every day. In term of diversity of the customers that I observed, our a couple of our colleagues were the only ones but they were treated no differently than the rest of us, with courtesy and professionally. My verdict, so far this place is the best burger joint in Indianapolis and surrounding.

Skittles Darling

Driving through the city. Looked for local restaurant. Was not disappointed. You get a metric ton of food for your money and it's amazingly good. Onion rings are super good. Hamburger... Yum.

Clint Ettinger

Nice cozy little place. Went here for breakfast. Good variety of options for food for such a classic diner place. I like that they have a whiteboard of specials that changes daily. Staff was friendly and efficient (great idea to have the lil touch pads to put in orders and deal with the check) and food was good, not great. Good prices as well.

Will Fields

I love to swing by when I am in town. Plenty of options for anyone. I eat myself into a food coma everytimr.

Weston Bonczek

Delicious food with an excellent staff and a truly "American" "diner" feel....if you know what I mean? It's truly wonderful. Pure Americana

John Hancock

One of the best local dinners n the city. Old school look great home style food. Service was spot on and friendly. Definitely worth the trip back n time. Just wish they still offered car side service.

danny vasquez

Great service by Sofia great food come here every weekend!

Marissa McClure

This is the most authentic diner I have ever went to. The restraunt was packed for lunch but I still got prompt service. The prices could be a little less but the food was delicious.

Barbara Henley

The food was fabulous! Delicious spaghetti with meat ball and garlic bread!

Jesse Valdez

Decent food for a diner. A bit pricy for the quality. Some items are good and some could use improvements(potatoes and corn did not taste homemade, gravy was salty like a dry mix seasoning). Tenderloin pork sandwich was good. Again, the overall experience wasnt enough to come back to. Between my wife and I each having one entree and a water with the tip included came to $30 for what felt more like a $20 experience.

Candy Carr

Best burger I have ever eaten!

Helen Bowser

Well this was our 2nd time and our last time! I wanted the ribs but they said only have 4pm they should have told me the 1st time we came here when I asked about them. My husband found a piece of plastic in his salad ....they must have been from the tongs is what we were told ..wth! Then we got our food he had a grilled tenderloin nothing special very overpriced and I had the pulled pork very mushy and burnt fries I told the waitress she said sorry same thing she said about the plastic in the salad and proceeded to give us the bill I said well can we get a discount after all I only took about 2 bites...she went and asked and took half off my meal.....I would think the manager would have came and talked to us about the plastic and my food and half off was a joke I left there hungry and my husband with a sore tooth! won't ever know how bad the ribs are. . .

Katie Mcginley

Very good food better than most on the east side.

Tom Polston

Got Twin Steer platter cole slaw good, fries almost warm, hamburger patties very bland, not 100% beef for sure, service was very good. Wife liked her B&G. May go back but will def.try something different.

Aidan Lucas

Food was amazing both times, and the service was amazing our server Sonja in particular was great. She worked 15 different parties at once and still found time to get everyone that needed something. 10 stars

Dave Mansfield

Down to the need to know. Food is very enjoyable. It is like home cooked meals if my mother knew how to cook. The prices are agreeable, the staff is amazing. Shout out to Natasha. The parking lot isn't great but my car was right where I left it. 7/9 perfect score, would dive right into Steer In again.

Jenny Cozad

I've been wanting to come here for years and it lived up to the hype Guy created when I first saw it on DDD. Loved the nostalgic decor, while also having technology that was with the times. I enjoyed the chicken livers with Mac n cheese and slaw.

Ezekial Dragonlord

Always a good atmosphere. Food is filling and excellent tasting. Glad to know they are still popular.

Paul Throop

Great food at a good price.

Kristy Giles

Amazing homestyle food. Nice staff. Clean place. Awesome that it was on triple d! Would highly recommend this joint

Linda Girard

The perfect marriage of pork products and deep-fat frying. Great milkshakes, too. Prepare to overeat.

Lewis Cougill

It's the place you should have gone when you went elsewhere. Ol'skewl with the smartness of modern.

Michael Morrow

Veggie omelette was great and so was the service!

william etherton

Love this place for many reasons

Erica Eisenacher

Best Beef and Noodles!!! And the pie was just as delicious! Staff super friendly and down to earth. We make this a must stop when coming to Indy! This was our third time eating here over the years and still not disappointed!

Valerie Gerholdt

Yummy food. Friendly atmosphere, very casual. Busy place but food came out hot in a timely fashion.

Darlene Blair

had french toast was very good .he had biscuits and gravy very good.

Edward Honea

Great food, great service, vintage experience. Love everything about it. Only rate it four instead of five due to failure to live up the hype that had been built up due to it's featuring on a certain spikey hair hosted television show. Recommend to anyone.

Chopper S

Fantastic food! Our group had everything from burgers and steaks to the famous meatball sandwich and beef & noodles. Wish we would have had room for dessert as they looked amazing too. Our waitress was a very sweet hard working gal. This restaurant is very affordable too. If we're ever in Indy again we will definitely stop back!

grant williams

Great local eat, always good service and good food, half chicken fried chicken and choc. Milkshake is the best food and drink combo you can get, will absolutely be returning. Only gave 4 stars because it's not high-end.

Shalmon Radford

I've had 6 things there. All of them were excellent!! Try the beef noodles.

Erika Pitts-Coates

Hubby and I saw this on Triple D and wasn't disappointed. Great food and great service. I had the Reuben, hubby had the fish and chips.

Michael Wright

Historic restaurant! Home cooked meals, many favorite dishes there.

Bret High

First and foremost - get the carrot cake. You won't be disappointed. The food here is better than average, and my two favorite items are the breaded tenderloin (mayo, pickles, onions, mustard, and a dash of salt) and the carrot cake. While their tenderloin is "famous" the carrot cake was my favorite part of the meal. The price is fair, it was crowded (Friday night, it was to be expected...not sure what it's like during weekday lunch), the service was good, and I was pleased with the experience. Just don't use the bathrooms - they're far from stellar.

Bill Badoni

We found this place from famed “Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives” tv show. We happened to be in the area while attending a weekend convention. The food portions were delicious and generously portioned. Looking over at other tables, I could see the dishes all seemed rather delicious!!! Our server Kassie was very nice and accommodating, despite our messy table. I would definitely recommend this place!!!

Rex D

Nice little diner. The service was good, relatively quick, and friendly. Their pork tenderloin sandwich was all wrong (from an Indiana standpoint, the tenderloin needs to be hammered thinner) but still delicious, making it uniquely their own. They really embraced some diners and drive-ins visit they had, which was off putting, especially since I think with this food they could easily stand on their own.

Allyssa Waler

Absolutely one of the best home away from home family restaurants I have been to. During our stay in Indianapolis, we stopped at this “family diner” for dinner because it seemed to be budget friendly based on reviews. There are so many marvelous choices on the menu, it was truly hard to pick just one. As we sat at the table looking through the menu, so many different hot meals were coming at the kitchen that smelled and looked mouth-watering. Chicken Parm is a great choice, as well as the club (for something a little lighter) Fries and great especially deeped in there ranch. We enjoyed our first night we came back for breakfast! Every customer is happy and friendly, every employee is too!

Gary Foster

Good meal homey atmosphere fear.

Nora Mutlaq

I usually only go for breakfast, and everything I have tried is delicious! Great pie! Also, Sadie is the absolute best! She's so sweet every time we come in!

Mike Mendez

The food is awesome while also portraying the community feel and gathering place...Delivery is even available

z d

Hmmm, can't say much about this legacy diner. The BLT was as expected, which satisfied me.

Samantha Shannon

Great old home cook like food. Always busy. Amazing service. Good food.

Tyler Goodwin

Wonderful little restaurant. Been here for years and hopefully many more. A gem of the east side. Burgers are great. French toast was great. Good sweet tea. Amazing homemade corn beef hash.

Tina Cissell

Have yet to have a bad meal at Steer-In. Doubt that I ever will. Great food & the best staff. But take a sweater!

N Odell

Nostalgic atmosphere, good service, try Hog Heaven. Large servings.

A wonderful pizza place especially if you are gluten free. THE best gluten free pizza, and I’ve tried them all! Great salads and their staff is courteous and helpful.

Dean Irving

Great food and service, reasonable prices. I have eaten there several times, one of my favorite places to eat.

Phillip Somers

Came because I saw this place on Food Network. Went for breakfast. Restaurant is clearly old and that is part of the charm. The tables and chairs could use an update but then again that could be part of experience. I had the corned beef hash which is house made and I thought it was really good. The omlets had a lot and I mean a lot of cheese in them. Has a very everyone knows your name atmosphere. Overall worth it!

Kimberly Maggio

Food was home comfort food.

brandon kennedy

Definitely one of a kind. Very enjoyable.

Nancy Hiquet

Amazing homestyle food. Nice staff. Clean place. Awesome that it was on triple d! Would highly recommend this joint

Linda Girard

The perfect marriage of pork products and deep-fat frying. Great milkshakes, too. Prepare to overeat.

Michael Morrow

Veggie omelette was great and so was the service!

Erica Eisenacher

Best Beef and Noodles!!! And the pie was just as delicious! Staff super friendly and down to earth. We make this a must stop when coming to Indy! This was our third time eating here over the years and still not disappointed!

Allison Scarpitti

Down home cooking and great staff. Definitely recommend the Western burger!

Christine Schmidt

Great food and service.

Darlene Blair

had french toast was very good .he had biscuits and gravy very good.

Tom V

A hidden gem nustled in the inner city of Indy. Great food

Matt Morris

Decent food service was so so

Gary Foster

Good meal homey atmosphere fear.

Nora Mutlaq

I usually only go for breakfast, and everything I have tried is delicious! Great pie! Also, Sadie is the absolute best! She's so sweet every time we come in!

R

Stopped here for lunch on a road trip and enjoyed the meatball sandwich and beef with noodles. Our server was friendly and the atmosphere was casual. We would definitely dine here again when passing through this part of the country.

z d

Hmmm, can't say much about this legacy diner. The BLT was as expected, which satisfied me.

Samantha Shannon

Great old home cook like food. Always busy. Amazing service. Good food.

Tyler Goodwin

Wonderful little restaurant. Been here for years and hopefully many more. A gem of the east side. Burgers are great. French toast was great. Good sweet tea. Amazing homemade corn beef hash.

Tina Cissell

Have yet to have a bad meal at Steer-In. Doubt that I ever will. Great food & the best staff. But take a sweater!

N Odell

Nostalgic atmosphere, good service, try Hog Heaven. Large servings.

The vibes are real here! Older men sit at the counter chatting with each other. It's their hang out. Families and friends laughing and eating good food. Feels like what I imagine it would have 70 years ago. Small town feels in the middle of Indy The food is actually really good too! A lot of the menu is made in house from scratch

Jennifer K

We made a trip just to eat here and were not disappointed. The service was great. Our food came quite quick and it was so so delicious!!

Kristina Mahler

Best breakfast I've ever had. I like that tots were an option as opposed to hash browns. Our server was friendly, and fast. Great place to eat. Great portions, at decent prices.

Timothy Bicknell

Great food, and lots of it. Reasonably priced. Quick service. Friendly place.

Sue Timmons

Great food, friendly service, low prices.

Wade & Christy Oldham

The meatball Trio and the Meatball sandwich are AMAZING. The fried green tomatoes we're very delicious and juicy. The coconut cream pie......melt in your mouth delicious!!! Definitely be back!!!

Angela Eads

This place is a classic. Honestly, it's a good diner. And good dinners are rare in Indianapolis. The food is consistent and good. Not outright amazing but good. Prices are reasonable. They were busy but no wait and open tables and since it was peak dinner time, it should have been anticipated. We had a good, not great, experience.

Kathy Mcmanus

First time eating in the restaurant. I did do a pick up order once. I got the tenderloin both times. My friend also got the tenderloin. It was very good along with the fries. Service was very good. A++++ experience

Dale Laswell

They have great food and good service a good place to go

Nate Schultz

Wonderful service, homey atmosphere, and delicious food all at a great price

Harry Bell

Nice quiet spot . Food was flavorful tenderloin was delish

Cindy Crum

Went since we chase DDD spots. Meatballs were good, burgers and coleslaw yummy and the cheese sauce for fries was awesome!

TheJorgSacul .

Superior burgers! Their beef blows away the $15 burgers downtown. Explore the menu, it's always a good pick. One warning, their Memphis Hot Chicken is not for the faint of heart. Delicious, but really killer spicy.

Nicole Baldwin

Good service great food! Large portions!

Matt Lackner

Must go breakfast spot on the east side. Great little neighborhood joint. It's been on triple D! You KNOW Guy only goes to the best!

William Kwochka

Great food. Their pork tenderloin sandwich was awesome. Great vibe with a wonderful cross section of people. Very welcoming and helpful wait staff.

Maria Galle

Always enjoy their Beef and Noodles

Erin Hunsinger

One of the best coconut cream pies I have ever had. Dinner portions are huge. Either share or be prepared to have it for lunch the next day. Very happy I decided to stop and give it a try! The staff makes you feel like you have come home for a Sunday dinner, even on a Wednesday. They were on DDD but it doesnt appear to have changed the establishment at all. Loved it

chris farish

Delicious!! Great food awesome staff!! Country dinner was awesome!! Now for Cherry pie!!

Bastard Pineapples

This is the quintessential Eastside experience. Fantastic people serving top notched diner stye food (with options you would not commonly think of) to their local, loyal customers!! Get the Twin-Steer... you won't be sorry!

Mitch Lewandowski

Some of the best cooking in Indianapolis love their lasagna and their house salad is delicious Always leave full

Eloise Moore

The service was great considering the building was full. The food was great and the person who served us was very good and helpful. Hope to go back soon.

George Hemphill

A lot of Great Food for a Great price!

Robert Trout

Food is amazing... Waitress was just amazing friendly, good service, I be going back

Fisnik Krasniqi

Food was mediocer at best and the place is not clean......

Joe Faith

Clean and friendly neighborhood hangout where they know who you are. The food is excellent!

Eddie Blunt

OMG the food was amazing and I'm so full

Chad Harmon

Love this place. Breakfast is amazing. I keep coming back and getting something different. The menu is so diverse its like going to a different restaurant each time.

Alicia Stockburger

If you want a home cooked meal, this place fits the bill

Travis Heintzelman

Pretty darn good food and fantastic service I like the corned beef.

bill effinger

Great local restaurant, they make most things home made including the desserts

Darren Chittick

The food is good diner food. The breaded tenderloin is the best in the city. There is exactly one good server at this place, and if you don't get her, good luck. The servers and staff are way more interested in chatting with each other than waiting tables, unless the tables happen to be family or personal friends. Then they'll gladly sit down and talk while you wait to order.

Clarence Jones

I went here with a lady that I like a lot. She brought me there and I enjoyed it a whole lot. Next time I get a grill cheese I have to modify it.

Skud Missal

A local favorite. Very quaint and humble. The biggest flapjacks for the best price! You will have trouble finding seating during certain times of the day because it's so popular with the locals. They could maybe use a fresh paint job, but that's just my opinion. Still a great place to eat!

Gordon Adair

Great food old drive in feel has been there a long time

Abe Martinez

Stopped in at the Steer In to have dinner on a Saturday early evening, with my wife and daughter, sat at a small table. Our drink order was taken fairly quick, and our drinks were brought out fairly quick. After that, nothing, and I mean absolutely nothing. The waitress made her rounds, taking orders at tables that arrived after us and not even acknowledging us. After waiting about 20 minutes we got up and left... Still hungry. I had been to Steer In many times, but never again.

Valerie Wise

Great traditional food like tenderloins, meatloaf but also a variety of other stuff.

mike funk

Party of 7. Food was great. Timely and friendly. Best place on the Eastside. Thanks Sophia. Great Job!!!

Caitlin Mackie

I have been here a few times and have had mixed experiences. I believe a good restaurant should be study with their service and food and experiences. The recent experience I had was calling for carryout. I called and was put on hold for 5 minutes. Their website advertisers in big bold lettering that they have a drive-thru window so I went around to the back to try to order my food and no one helped me but there was a waitress standing out back smoking which is fine I'm a smoker myself. She rang the doorbell for me and no one came out for another 5 minutes. I then called the restaurant and told them what had happened the woman on the other line said that they do not use the window at the drive-thru and that I needed to call and I told her I did and I was put on hold for 5 minutes and that's why I drove through she said that she would be right there offered no apologies. Someone came to the window and asked if I had ordered food and I said that's what I had been trying to do now for 15 minutes. She asked if I still wanted to order and I said no I don't think so and she just said okay and slammed the window in my face. These are the kinds of businesses that unfortunately not going to be getting my business anymore

Richard Chiasson

The beef and noodles was a cold gelattonous mess. Served with a side of cold kernal corn. Unimpressed.

Marty Kincade

It your hungry and want great food and service then this is a place for you

David Hartzell

Very good dirty steak sandwich (available Fridays only).. That steak was tender and cooked to perfection and the cheese was very flavorful. The place was packed and service was still good. It's not cheap, but tastes great!

Funky Kong

FACT: This joint was shown on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. The food here was some of the best diner food ever. The waitresses very nice. It has a diner like flair.

TheLincolnfan .

Good food, good prices clean restaurant and friendly. Neighborhood style restaurant and large portions.

Joshua Mcnorgan

The Historic Steer In is indeed historic. Its predecessor, the Northway, was founded in the 1930s. Most of the customers are local folks who dine there frequently. Friendly staff, reasonably fast service. In recent years the menu has expanded greatly. But I prefer it's old standbys: breaded tenderloin, double-decker hamburger, and breakfast fare. While the visitor to Indy might not pass the Steer In, it might be worth a stop for a reasonably-priced Hoosier dinner.

Kelly O'Brien

Food was great although I thought the "steer in potatoes" would be potatoes mixed with pepper & onions & not just a little put on top, but that might have been my misinterpretation. Overall good Food!!

Janelle _

Fast and kind service. AMAZING beef and noodles. A nice hidden gem.

Brian B

Steer In is wonderful place to go and have fun excellent food great service clean restaurant daily lunch specials! Steer In has been open for several years and will be around for a long time to come food is always excellent love the pizza

Christina Sayre

One of the best BBQ Chicken Pizzas I have ever had!!! It could've had a bit more bbq sauce on it or maybe a side of bbq offered for those who like it a little more saucy but it was absolutely delicious and I could only eat half of one piece!!! My husband had a Frisco Burger and it was a big sandwich and he had it almost gone before I thought about pictures

Kristina Mahler

Best breakfast I've ever had. I like that tots were an option as opposed to hash browns. Our server was friendly, and fast. Great place to eat. Great portions, at decent prices.

The Steer-In is an East-side fixture and everything is amazing. I love this place. My dad can never decide between the Twin Steer or the beef and noodles so he gets the Twin Steer and the senior version of the beef and noodles so he can have both! That's how much he loves it.

Robert Trout
