REVIEWS OF Sharma's Kitchen IN Indiana

Grace Boone [Carleton]

Awesome buffet! So many different dishes to choose from. Lots of vegan options as well, clearly marked. :)

Yvonne Price

For some of the best authentic Indian food, Sharma's Kitchen is where you want to go. I highly recommend the buffet. It has so many delicious dishes that you'll want to try. Chicken served several different ways in wonderful cream sauces, goat curry and kabobs to name a few. Vegan dishes that are very good, perfectly smooth eggplant and breads. Save room for dessert and have a cup of coffee ready because they are sweet. The server was very attentive and helpful. They open at noon and offer the buffet for a very reasonable price.

It was worth a drive from Carmel to Lafayette just to taste the Indian food here. Definitely recommend this place for indo Chinese food.

Lee Shaw

Best Indian food in town. Big buffet with lots of variety. Expensive but worth it

Bob Richards

A high quality buffet style place that you can also order off the menu. The food choices are plentiful and fresh. A typical setup has around 10 appetizer/small plate items, a fresh salad section, 10-12 hot dishes, and a few desserts. The selections are evenly spiced and each has a card with a description of what the dish contains. Pleasantly surprised that on the Saturday afternoon we visited, there were 10 vegan items, including several main dishes on the buffet. For example, they have the American favorite chicken tikka masala, and a vegan option of tofu tikka masala. The meal comes with your choice of naan made fresh in the kitchen. The onion naan is a winner. Pleasant staff, who will work with you on most special requests.

Tanraj Singh

4 Stars for the food and the cooks in the back. And to the lady at the front desk do not ever and I mean ever accuse me of doing something again, watch your mouth and mind your own business. Food good though.

Karen Miller

Nice Buffett service friendly

Nishit Banka

Great buffet place with a good selection of food.

Rachel Keaton

A bit pricey, but the buffet is definitely worth the price. Very delicious food with some variation day-to-day. Friendly staff as well.

saju s

I would not have given 5star if not the service was excellent. Courteous staff and really helpful. The food is relatively a little expensive, but not overpriced. I would recommend this place for a good Indian cuisine. The dishes can be rated pretty close to being authentic Indian taste.

Muhammad Ramzan

Very nice place. delicious Pak-Indian foods are available here. Boffay system with 20+ dishes, vegetarian, non vegetarian are available here

Aneka Boerrigter

Great food and I live so near I always over eat

Durand Graves

Delicious as always

Deborah McArthur

I was disappointed that they only offered buffet. But there was a great variety and i got to try and enjoy many dishes.

Riley Gast

The only thing I need to say is this is the best food I have ever had in my life.

Ricardo Meyra

02/04/18: We arrived at the restaurant at 2:45 pm on a Sunday. The restaurant was supposed to be opened until 3 pm, but the attendant told us we could not stay because they were closing. That was ridiculous! The guy told us they were going to open the restaurant again at 5:30 pm. Come on, it is Sunday! Well, after that we drove to Sai Shaukin Indian in where we were very welcomed! 02/06/18: Smart guys! Today you have changed the working hours after my complaint, but my dissatisfaction about this place won’t change!

Good food, servers are generally fast and nice. but the lady at the front leaned over one time as I was paying and stared the whole time as I was tipping. Very strange.

Gerald Steinmetz

Great food!!

Manoj Agarwal

5 stars for the food, minus one star for telling us that 15% gratuity is the law, minus one star for threatening us to charge $5 extra for wasting food (this was utterly unbelievable, the waste they referred to was literally food scraps, sorry we don't lick the plates), minus one star for haggling us for these extra charges even though we paid full price for 3 kids who combined didn't eat as much as an adult would.

This review was long due. Few months after moving here from Chicago, I was craving for some good spicy Indian food. I found few on the Internet and we went to this place with big hopes as it had the best rating amongst all the other Indian restaurants in the area. Once we were seated, I realized something was missing; the warmth and the music. All I could hear was the sounds of people chatting and the clatter of silverware. It seemed as if I were in an office canteen. The buffet was not exceptional. Very few items were worth the value. Not to mention, the buffet was much more expensive than Indian restaurants elsewhere in the country. Facing me on the adjacent table, a person was choking on his food and he coughed it out. The ambience became from boring to disgusting in a second. The lack of music made every sound quite audible and hard to ignore. This was the only Indian restaurant in Lafayette and also the closest to our place. Rejecting it the first time itself didn't feel fair. So, we gave it a second chance. We took our friends who were visiting us during thanksgiving last year. They wanted to try something Indian after a weekend of having thanksgiving food and leftovers. We were a group of six adults and two little boys, aged 1 and 3. The lady on the front desk didn't even smile and it seemed like she was having a bad day. Her annoyance on seeing us was clearly reflected on her face. We wanted to order from the menu and she said rudely, "It's not allowed. We are only offering buffet tonight". We had no other choice but to go for the buffet. We saw the tandoori sizzlers that come along with the buffet, being taken to other tables. But we kept waiting for ours. On asking later what's in those sizzlers and why we didn't get it with our buffet, the staff replied, "It's nothing, it's already there in the buffet over there. I just heated it up for that table." We wondered why we don't deserve the food at the right temperature while the other tables do. Then the staff brought the rude lady to our table, and she asked in her annoyed tone, "What's the matter? They had ordered for extra. That's why we gave them. You already have it in the buffet." I couldn't help but remember the last time when I had visited the restaurant. We got the complimentary sizzlers without asking for an extra order. And so did every table that was choosing the buffet. Then, why were we being discriminated this time? The little kids ate whatever little they could but they had spilled some food on the ground while eating. We saw the rude lady pointing to our table repeatedly and talking to the staff with an angry face. We had to pay a huge gratuity in the end and we left the place feeling disappointed by not only the food but also by the behavior of the staff. We felt sorry for our friends and decided that we will never ever step into that restaurant again.

Spice level is medium to mild. Would have liked options for higher spice/hotness levels. Pretty good place. A bit pricey compared to other similar places though.

Rahman Dorsey

Sharma's Kitchen is the best Indian food I have ever had. Good selection, good food, friendly service. I wish I could give it a sixth star.

Zee Alam

Veggie options are great and chicken is great as well. The lamb is ok but can be better.

Jane Clift

My favorite! Excellent, large buffet with a wide selection. Food is really the best Indian food I have had. They have added some Chinese food to the traditional indian and have many vegetarian options that are kept apart from the meat.

Kyle Allen

It’s clear to me that the chef cares about the food he serves and takes pride in it. The staff is friendly and welcoming to my family and me. My family and I are not in a position to eat out often, but when we decide to do so, we come here.

Karen Reese

Excellent food, a wide variety on the buffet and everything is very fresh with attentive servers. Definitely a hidden gem!

Doug Clements

I decided I was in the mood for Indian food for lunch today. A friend and I stopped by Sharma's Kitchen in Eastway Plaza. From outside in the parking lot, I could already smell the delicious spices used inside. Lunch is served as a buffet, with many vegetarian and non-vegetarian options available. The naan is included and cooked at request. It was fantastic. All of the buffet food was fresh and hot, the biryani was excellent, and the desserts were great. Much of the food here reminded me of the food I experienced while in India -- perhaps minus some of the spicy heat. It was the perfect place for a genuine taste of Indian fare. I'll definitely return.

Andrew Barrett

Amazing food

Alan C

Love this place. Great food, service and price. I eat here once a week

ashutosh nayak

Good Indian buffet. Ala carte is also available but check before going for that. But food and number of options in general is good. Staff is little unfriendly

Lindsi Smith

Not bad but very salty food

Patrick Godfrey

Decent Indian food.

El Chilango

I've eaten here a couple times now, both times were excellent. Although I've had my food to go both times the service was very friendly and accommodating. First time I had curry chicken this time goat. Goat was excellent. If you had goat before you know there can be lots of Bones and not much meat. There were bones but plenty of meat. Tender and flavorful. Always eat here when I come to town.

David Shwarts

Best Indian restaurant around Purdue! Prices are a little expensive for college students but it’s SOOO worth it. The buffet meals are so homey and filling. Mango laser was made very well to, by far my go to place for Indian at Purdue

Maria Perez

Have been here many times and the food is good. It’s a buffet and everything is freshly prepared. They bring fresh chicken or paneer along with naan to your table. It’s in a strip mall but don’t let that stop you. The only negative is that the price is a little high and the prices change quite often. I’ve never experienced rude service from the chefs wife, the hostess as others have said. She’s always friendly. I even left my wallet once and everything was fine when I came back to get it. Good people.

Joe Bottum

Best restaurant in town.

Bruno Sanchez Ortiz

Pricey buffet but the food is definitely worth it. Best Indian food in Lafayette in my opinion.

Muhammad Bin Shorieri

Best Indian food in the area. They have buffet and a bit pricey but for a better food

Joshua Keene

Meh. All my friends recommended this place, but after finally going, the things we got were lacking in flavor and was just disappointing. Also your reply makes no sense to my situation.

Lakshya Goyal

By far the largest nunber of items i've seen in a buffet. I love paneer, but I found myself eating the other food more cause I've never been able to eat those while away from home!

Joseph Chen

The buffet is awesome. Very, very tasty food and LOTS of things to try. A little on the pricy side but not outrageously so.

Narayana Prasad Santhanam

Very extensive buffet for lunch, good service and definitely the best Indian restaurant in the Lafayette area.

Debbie HALL

Absolutely lovely dining experience. Multiple delicious items on the buffet! Great choices on the menu. It's definitely a must!!

Anubhav Rai

Good Indian food at times

Chad Wilson

Absolutely delicious! Huge variety and friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Andrew Daigle

Awesome food. Wish there was a little more room but the food is very good and the staff are awesome.

Gaurav Dadlani

Amazing Indian food. Feels like home for all Indian students at Purdue

Joel Monterrey

I love Indian food but my girlfriend has a food intolerance of coriander seeds often found in the food. The chef came out to inform us that he doesn't use them and that he knows about this problem! I couldn't believe it! My girlfriend ate cautiously, but heartily. After leaving, absolutely no stomach pains!! The chef was true to his word. The owners, and staff were very nice, warm, welcoming people. Good varied too! I've never seen the samosas on the buffet before at any other restaurant! They brought out a choice of grilled paneer or chicken! We both really enjoyed it.

Umit Karabiyik

I would have given 0 star if it was possible. The food was below average Indian restaurants. For this quality food, the pricr is too high. I haven't been to any restaurant asking $9.99 for 7 years kid. The owners ( I assume the cashier lady) are only welcoming to their known customers. I've asked a highchair for an 11 month old in a car seat, instead of providing me what asked, the cashier lady tried convincing me to use a regular chair. I had to insist for the highchair as carseat cannot stay stable on a chair. The one star would probably go to the wide selection of vegan and veggie options. I'm not including salad bar for buffet though. It was only lettuce cucumber and onion, that's all. I don't recommend this place unless it's your only option.

C R

Amazing vegetarian options! Great value for the amount of options available. I travel internationally quite a bit, and this is the best Indian restaurant anywhere (even compared to restaurants in the UK!). The only bad thing about this place is that every other Indian restaurant is a disappointment in comparison.

Nicole Morris

I absolutely love this place. To me, it's the only place to get good Indian food in Lafayette. Consistently delicious!

Ankit Sharma

Good Nice food

Joyce Kenworthy

It was very tasty and entertaining to watch them prepare your meal. Service was good.

Justin Klyczek

We've been going since my daughter was baking in her mama's oven. 7 years later and it's just as good. Great people too! Update 11/8: as if this place wasn't amazing enough, they added an Indo-Chinese section! Amazing!

Alex A

Indians-Please avoid Sharma's kitchen...You will. Its only matter of time :) I wish there was a negative rating option. After 2 years I visited Sharma's kitchen again and Mr.Sharmaji is still the same arrogant chef I have ever met. He knows how to talk to white customers. However his approach to Indians are horrible. Why I visited after 2 years?-Just to see if time has made any improvement to Mr.Sharmaji. He can be rated as a chef who will spoil your food(will make it non-edible) for which you paid.-Might be it touches sharmaji's ego,if we ask to customize spice level :) Get well sharmaji!!! Verdict: Not a place for foodies. No respect for Indian customers.

Patrick Roe

My wife and I have been coming here for years, and it is one of the best restaurants in town. We love to take family and friends here. The quality of the food is second to none, and the service, hosts, and overall experience will blow you away. I would recommend Sharma's Kitchen to anyone!

Mick La Lopa

We used to go for the buffet until the day Sharma's wife was rude to my wife on a question about how long the buffet would remain open, when Sharma appeared to find out what was going on she spoke to him in Hindi which was even more rude. We have not been back since and go to Khana now.

Chen Sun

A good place to try Indian food. My friend’s favorite.

Johnny Torino

First off, stop there for lunch and was pleasantly surprised to find a nice well-prepared and broad spectrum Buffet. Super cheap for what you get. This is far better than any generic Chinese buffet. Food here is actually healthy and you find things like lamb, and fresh chicken curry there. They bring out fresh naan and the whole experience is pretty great. Can't wait till I'm back in the area to savor this place again.

Susan Schechter

This is my family special meal restaurant. The atmosphere is warm and hospitable and children are welcome. The paper over the table cloths is a perfect canvas for the grand children. Oh and the food is so fine. The buffet is stocked with a wide variety of Indian dishes from appetizers to desserts.

Suranga Dharmarathne

The best place to eat Indian food in Lafayette. Family friendly and great service every time we visited there.

Niranjan Jagannath

The buffet is slightly on the expensive side, but was definitely worthy. They offer a wide range of dishes and offer nice ambience for meetups too. They do not offer take away boxes, but considering it being a buffet, it is a valid reason not to.

Rose Werner

This place is hands down my favorite restaurant in Lafayette! The food is amazing, service is quick and so friendly. I recommend it to all my friends and family who come to town. Also forgot my hat this time and thankfully one of the servers was nice enough to bring it out to me while we were walking to our car. Im so thankful! Can't wait till our next visit.

Helen Wheels

Go hungry - the buffet is killer, but a bit prices if you just take a small plate. They bring Naan and kebabs to your table too! Great family and quality foods.

Andrew Solowey

I'm 100% unfamiliar with Indian food, but I loved this place. Clean, good variety of hot food, and friendly staff.

Felicia Hall

Always amazing. Have been >10x.

Joe Davenport

Very friendly staff. Very clean. Food is very good. It is a little expensive.

Sankaran & Lakshmi subramaniam

Great food. Particularly for people with nut and peanut allergies. Friendly owner and staff

Abhishek Shankar

Awesome buffet! Probably the best spread in Lafayette

Sugato Chakravarty

Sharma is a very nice gentlemen. He is the true American success story. Hard work and grit. The whole nine yards. He restaurant caters to Americans as a quick into to North Indian cuisine. Prices are steep. Quite popular with the local residents. Thumbs up.

Sam Miller

Best food in Lafayette, Indian or otherwise. Intimate space, great service, and phenomenal Indian and Indochine cuisine.

sergey morozov

The food waa good, but i never got my naan bread. However, i was given a 10% discount because of it. I will be back to try them again.

Varun Sudarsanan

The food quality has really dropped since I last visited in 2016. The starters and deserts were good - the main course items in the buffet was really poor.

TJ

My wife and I enjoy this restaurant very much and we eat here at least once a week. Sharma and his wife are such friendly owners who take their time to talk with us and share laughs. The staff are very friendly and attentive. This is a predominantly buffet style restaurant that also provides you options of ordering a la carte off the menu. The food has always been consistently good with many options to choose from. I have nothing but good things to say about this restaurant.

Tuhin Dey

I have heard good things about Sharma's kitchen from many non-Indians ever since I moved to West Lafayette from Houston. Even though last year one of my Asian colleagues did tell me about SK's discriminatory behavior against her disabled female partner, yet I decided to try the food on Diwali Grand Buffet. It was about $26.5 per person (including tax, not sure if she added the tips already. I paid additional tips). Within 30 minutes of us getting the table, while we were still eating, the owner lady showed up at the table and asked us to pay and she complained how she is stressed because she has so many bookings (basically asking us to pay and leave)! Also, the taste was very average if not the worst. Too spicy and hot. The desserts were too sweet. However, they did have many items, if not 65 plus as advertised. Probably still good for non-Indians or white Americans. I won't go there again.

Michelle Schaefer [VEGGIE CHEL]

You'll stuff yourself silly! The chef made me vegan eggplant as an app, instead of chicken or paneer . There were also many vegan options at the buffet, and all were delicious. The atmosphere is relaxed elegant. $40 for two, with only water. . But once in a while, I just have to get some Sharma's!

Sean Flannery

Friendly staff, really good food (though I’m not expert on Indian), not bad for the price. While I was here recently both active wait staff members were extremely friendly to a family with kids, and helped comfort them when they were crying, even playing games and counting with them. Wonderful experience.

Ravi J

It is good food restaurant. There are not that good amount of options. If dosas and idlis are served with chutneys it would be good. The garlic naans were not good at all. Pullao was really nice. The potato curry dry was good option. The gravy curries were not that much tasteful. Samosa and manchurians are nice.

SHILPA TENTU

To go for pani puri...

Lillian Borges

The best Indian and Indo-Chinese around! The staff is so friendly, too!

Brock Zagel

The food here was outstanding. The service was excellent as well. I preferred the indochinese selections including the calamari which I posted a picture of. My wife preferred the Indian but she is gluten free and they did have quite a few more gluten-free options on the Indian variety.

Allison Higgins

Listen, I rarely give these reviews. However, this is the exception, due to this place deserving every one of those 5 stars. Being vegetarian, its hard to find options other than a salad.not only did they have a large variety of vegetarian options, they were "I-want-to-be-thanksgiving-levels-full-on-this-stuff" kind of good! On top of that its a beautiful restaurant, with service that really makes you feel welcome, even when you are far from home. And for you bread lovers, their garlic naan will make you empty the basket in no time at all. Do yourself a favor and come here!

SM Sabbir Alam

Not too good, but not too bad also. Cost is high.

B Patrick

On the pricier side for a buffet, but good food and variety

Jithin Prabha

Starters were okay, but did not like the main course items.

Piyu Preet

Good number of variety items on the buffet. Clean ambience and tasty food.

Saikat ghosh roy

Amazing food, poor attitudes. This restaurant has the best variety of Indian food in town. The food is superb, and we enjoyed the indo-chinese options. The high chairs do need updated, so if you are bringing a child this is something to think about. The straps were worn badly and our child could have jumped out if we were not watching her closely. We did feel that the lady who worked at the front register was quite rude. She was pushing us to leave and was asking questions about my wifes attire in a harsh way. (it was Durga puja, and my American wife was wearing ethnic wear for the first time.) If you're coming for great food, this is the place. Just dont expect friendly smiles.

Jeff Williams

Best Indian buffet in my experience. Excellent food, friendly people, lots of vegetarian options.

Mark Watson

My first time visiting this restaurant and I can honestly say, I will be back. It was delicious with lots of choices. Hands down delicious

jihye jihye

There food is awesome. It is really amazing. I come to this restaurant whenever I visit this area, and many times I should wait for long time because they don't open their open hours. And they don't apologize for that. I have no choice but to wait because the food is good.

Josh Mac

Delicious Indian cuisine and exceptionally friendly staff

mani talich

Absolute heaven for Indian food in a very quiet town. Superb buffet choice, very clean n family run n Sharma ji himself makes sure every guest is taken care of and on our second visit in 4 days surprised us with choley n kulchey on the house. Vegetarians have a very good spread on buffet n really cost effective. Must visit if in town n even local Western crowd enjoy it equally. Their naan, dal makhani, paneer makhanwala etc are superior in taste against best of names in India as well.

Heidi Exmeyer

Great food! Offer a really good Indian buffet.

Greg Eakins

Sharma's is the best Indian restaurant in the area. If you're new to Indian or nervous about trying something new, the buffet style is the way to go. You'll certainly find something you like. They have a huge selection of different things to try and everything is crazy flavorful and perfectly done. The owner and his wife are super nice folks and seem like they love what they do.

Preetham Kotagi

Tasty and good variety of dishes. Only thing is that the place is a little tight. Too many tables with less space in between.

amy mickschl

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Sharma-We love you guys! Thank you for all the beautiful Mutton that you have GIVEN us,my son and I have always thought you were the best Mutton Chef. You folks are the real deal. You and your wife are extremely special to our neighborhood, and we are glad you are here. I wish you two love, peace, joy and many years of success in Lafayette. If only more store owners had your work ethic.-Daniel Mickschl

Milo Mills

Great Indian food, friendly people, bring the whole family! My 4 teenage kids love it. Nice variety, everyone can always find something they love. Garlic Naan and Mango Lassi's complete the order.

Omar Haider

We tried weekend buffet. Being from NJ/NY area, been to a lot of Indian restaurants. I have to say the food was great and the chef/owner Mr. Sharma was very attentive and a pleasure to talk to. Of the 3 Indian restaurants I have tried in West Lafayette, definitely this is the best. You get regular Indian staples as well as the desi Chinese options. I was surprised to find the food to be pretty spicy though I saw mostly locals eating there. For the variety and quality of food the lunch buffet is a good deal

Eric Penington

Amazing Indian food. One of our fav. places in the area. I love how they try different buffet items but also have some of the same. Only criticism is that it is pricey at around $18 for dinner... but it's fair considering the number of food items.

Keith Patrick

Very tasty and unusual! Staff was friendly and helpful. Food was terrific. Buffet had tremendous selection of vegetable dishes, and meat choices of chicken, lamb, fish and goat were all very good. Appetizers and deserts were also excellent. A bit pricier than most places around town, but it was not the typical frozen and fried fare. We will definitely go back!

Matthew Danti

Best buffet in Lafayette.

S T

I had chosen not to write down on a public portal the unpleasant experience we had had the other evening at Sharma's Kitchen. Though being assured by the lady owner that we could have ala carte`, the man in the kitchen refused to serve even though we had been served water as a starting gesture. Anyway, we chose another good restaurant and rather have been there many times since then. But when my American friends had an utterly disappointing experience at Sharma's kitchen on 27 November, I am compelled to write this. They shared that the heat was not on, chairs and plates were icy cold. They had to have their dinner in their coats and jackets as it was freezing inside the dining area. Food was also very average. I wrote this as you start feeling bad when someone representing your country fails not only you but others. Shameful.

Vivek Sharma

Best Indian restaurant in west Lafayette

Rakshit Chandrahasa

Good place for Indian Buffets. Have a good collection of vegetarian dishes. Better than most places in Lafayette area for Authentic Indian food. The place is pretty clean and well organized, good ambiance. Best to visit with a bunch of friends or family.

Chelsi Laposi

Debby Peterson

Our favorite place to eat in Lafayette area. Wonderful selection of delicious Indian food.

Shelle Iles

Great Indian buffet, very enjoyable experience, I will return!

Khaleel Puthiyapurayil

Too costly based on quality. Though there's a variety of selections, quality of food isn't worth it.

Cody Blacklidge

Best Indian food in town, my office goes at least twice a week

Ian Fisher

Authentic Indian cuisine, with an indo/Chinese aspect to the buffet. Staff, very friendly and helpful

Karthik Sethuraman

Good food. Bad management and service. They add a 20percent tip for a party of two without consent.

Curtis Young

Fresh, tasty, and what you'd expect from a buffet...a good choice for Indian food in Lafayette...

Yusuf Abdulrazzaq

Fantastic! Hits the spot every time!

Taryn Schumacher

Delicious buffet and friendly staff!

Bryan L. Cook

This place has REALLY good, tasty Indiana food including various chicken dishes, spinach, garlic naan, rice pudding, etc. Go here now!

Keshav Raheja

Food is really good

Rebecca Goodman

Love love LOVE Sharma’s. Every Diwali, the owners go all out and share their holiday with the community. You have to make reservations in advance because the tables are full the entire day. The staff treats me and my family like we’re their family, which is a big deal to me. The food is delicious and not overly spicy like other places I’ve tried in town. The buffet is clean and interesting! I’ve tried so many new things. I read a review about the tablecloths...don’t worry, they are plenty white!

Zac Young

Good food, always leave having eaten way too much tasty food

Shikhar Misra

overpriced food

Blade Lee

Good Indian buffet. You should not miss the lamb and naan there.

Zachary Rich

Never been more stuffed in my life.

Kristy Miley Realtor

My favorite! I tell all of my relocation clients that they have to try this hidden gem. And locals too. :) Family owned, they always thank me for coming and we have nice chats, they really care about how your experience is. The food is always consistently great, with huge variety on the buffet, always hot and it's fun when they try new things but they always also have my long standing favorites available also. It's always very clean. Highly recommend!

Louella Likens

Disappointed in reaction to our one year old.

Abrar ul farhan Mohammed

Best Indian food joint in Lafayette and West Lafayette. Value for money. Desserts and kebabs are good. Lunch buffet costs around 13$. Lamb and goat weren't cooked properly.

Kristi Keorkunian-Rivers

The only necessary improvement to this place lies in the decor. The food is robust, unique, and prepared with care. The buffet (which we had) has six or seven vegetarian and an equal number of non-vegetarian options... even goat! Try the appetizer paneer rather than the chicken for a delicious starter. It would be a huge mistake to miss this place!

tony cron

Excellent selection. Clean and friendly. Great taste. Would recommend To anyone for great lndian food. Bring your comfortable pants you will not leave hungry.

Terri Ashchi

We were pleasantly surprised. We were just driving through on our way to Chicago when I googled Indian food and we went there for dinner. The buffet was huge and it has a separate vegetarian buffet also. I loved the fresh garlic naan bread they brought to the table. The food tasted like it was home cooked and not your typical buffet food. Quality was superb. The price was a little high. For 2 adults and a child age 10 (she was considered and adult) we paid $57.

Travis Little

I strongly feel this is the best Indian restaurant in Lafayette, and one of the top 5 in the state. The buffet is varied in items, and well maintained.

Pallav Ranjan

I have been here twice and both the times I've just loved their food, specially afternoon buffet. They have a myraid of vegetarian and non-vegetarian Indian cuisines to choose from. And if you are one of those with cravings for indian street food, this is the place to be. They serve panipuri/golgappa/phuchka, spring rolls (indian style), paneer tikka, dosa, samosa, tandoori chicken, fish cutlets just for starters. Apart fro that the main course is saag paneer, paneer butter masala, chole, mutton, chicken butter masala, dal (lentils), aloo-shimla mirch for main course with gulab jamoon, kheer (payasam) and custard as dessert. Butter naan is served on table. And all this for just $15 bucks!!! Eat as much as you want!

Dustin Staggs

One of my favorite restaurants in Lafayette!

Kent Clark

Same menu all the time. Probably the worst place in Greater Lafayette area!!

Cheryl Purviance

Luv the food. I've had a great experience every time I eat there.

Julia Keeler Peck

Food and service are good but the dinner buffet was overpriced.

garrett neumann

Excellent food! Plenty of dishes to choose from. Everything is spotless, food is fresh. Service is spot on.

Tricia Cook

The food is always amazing everytime and the staff is wonderful! Sharma's is my favorite restaurant

Adam Lesley

Incredible! This was the best Indian restaurant I've ever been to, and I used to live on the east coast and have gone to many others. The palak paneer was amazing, as was the naan. And, I have never seen an Indian lunch buffet with so many choices! Seriously, if you are ever in Lafayette you must try this place!

Alan Moore

Very friendly staff and a great variety.

Absolutely the best Indian cuisine in town! A huge variety of dishes, reasonably priced, in a quiet and inviting atmosphere.

The quality of the food is great and the customer service is at the same level. There is plenty of seating for small and large groups. There are plenty of carnivorous and meatless options. The options for beverages is a little minimal but not too lacking. The space could use some renovations but nothing too outdated. The prices are quite fair for the quality and portions. When ordering take out, the level of spice can be pretty inconsistent. I always order 10 spice, sometimes is not spicy and sometimes it's just right. Overall it is a pretty great experience but it could be exceptional if just a few things were improved.

Delicious food, Sharma the chef is great but his wife was extremely dismissive and rude. I’m so many words stuck up. Love the food, but the service was a joke

I placed a carry out order today. Very friendly service. First time having Indian food. I ordered the Lamb Tikka Masala & Spicy Naan. I got my food in 15 minutes and it is DELICIOUS.

Very authentic Indian lunch buffet. Food is far better than many of the Indian restaurants in and around Indianapolis. We went for Sunday lunch and were happily surprised with all the good food. They even have indo-chinese items which are a good addition to the menu. They have a good selection of veg and non-veg food but more importantly the taste of all the items were really good. The space is little congested but not a deal breaker anyway. We will surely visit again.
