REVIEWS OF Raja India Restaurant IN Indiana

Savitha Ramesh Kumar

Really good price for a lunch buffet. Pretty decent food. Clean place.

KarthikKumar Somasundaram

Decent Indian restaurant with good food.. Options are very less but the food is good for the money!

Latha V

Very bad. Please don't think of trying this restaurant. Very few dishes in buffet. Also the quality and taste of food was too bad. Dessert served here was old and not fresh even the fruits. Stay away if you want to stay healthy.

The best Indian food in town

jamesonquarterly

Everything I have eaten at this restaurant is delicious and authentic. I love this place. My daughter loves it as well.

Lauren Faller

Delicious food! Staff is always super friendly, whether we eat in or call in a carryout order. They never mess up the dine in or carry out order, even during their busiest hours on weekends.

Darshit Shah

Good Indian food and hospitality

Prasad jogi

Biriyani was worst , I ordered Mutton biriani it was sweet and with green pees ,not even biriani smell , horrible experience of biriyani in my life .

Vikram Reddy

Worst food. We ordered chicken pakoda which is uncooked chicken and chicken biryani which is not exactly biryani instead they should change the name in the menu to either chicken Pulav or fried rice. Worst food. And please do not trust reviews on this restaurant my bad I went to this place considering reviews. Waste of money and time. It is not even worthy writing a review.

Greg Watkins

The food was excellent and the service was outstanding! The spicy Naan was very spicy, but a spice level of 5 of 6 on the saag choley left me a little wanting. Over all a great Indian dining experience. Definitely worth checking out.

Albert Dupuy

Very friendly service and the food was delicious. Bread tasted freshly made and chicken cooked perfectly. Would highly recommend!

Kyle

The food was awesome and the people were very friendly. It was towards the end of the day and we didn't feel rushed by them at all, even though we felt bad. Restaurant was clean and the overall value was good. Great stop for Indian food in the area.

Sonam Agarwal

I visited there for group dinner on Sunday. Order few vegetarian dishes - taste was ok but all had same gravy. Really no change at all. Felt so cheated. Had the worst experience. Also I thing happend - its funny and irritating at same time. We asked them to sit at the back corner table bcoz of kids and got reply from one of the lady staff - that it is impossible for them to serve us at that table. I guess that table was on different island

Walter Witham

Great food every time. Smiling staff. Fair price. Easy parking.

Alex Cuadra

Great food and a variety to choose from. If u can't make up your mind just ask for a recommendation. Multiple visits and never have I eaten the same thing twice

Zack Newell

Love this place! Delicious food each time. :)

Alyson Gawrych

I've been to every Indian Restaurant in Cincinnati and this one by far is my favorite. Best chicken curry and naan bread in town!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Kripashankar Ravishankar

Pathetic lunch buffet menu, arrogant waiter

sunny sandhu

I personally it's 1 of the best Indian restaurant not only in Mason but in Cincinnati to Dayton. Staff with excellent service and food with best quality...

Nevin Simon

Great service and absolutely delicious dishes!

David Ray

Excellent Indian food and very reasonable. My fav is the lamb korma with cashmeri Nan. My wife loves their chicken saag and mulligatawny soup!

Grant DePoy

Good people. Good food. I will be back

Cecil New

Loved every item. Great bread. An Indian friend liked too... So there you go!

David

Amazing lunch buffet at a great price. Simply some of the best Indian food I've had in Ohio. Very friendly staff and accommodating of children. They even have a grab and go option for lunch on the run.

Andrew Parker

Had lunch there this week but ordered off the menu instead of having the buffet. Best biryani I've had in a while.

Lawrence Wheat

One of our favorite places for Indian cuisine. Always friendly service and I have never been disappointed in my food choices.

Tom Zapf

I eat here once every other week for lunch. Consistently decent Indian buffet food. Not too spicy. Friendly staff. Recommended if you're in the area.

batman the king

The best chicken curry around

Aaron Boyer

Very good food. Server was excellent.

Ebey Deepak

Neat ambiance, food not suited for Indian taste buds. All curries tasted the same no flavor. Plain and bland. Try Persis instead!

Michael LeMarbe

Food felt authentic with a very nice spice Level.. just like eating at home...

sanjeev manepalli

Good food. Excellent service. The waitress is very courteous, good smile and good recommendations. Enjoyed the meal with friends.

Nikola Elektrizikov

Only ate here once, but It was pleasurable and healthy food. Didnt seem like they use cream in the Saag, and this made the texture and taste very, "homemade" appearance and taste, which is good. This place is pretty good food with average buffet selection and pakistani influences in the food, which is good, i like spicy!

Arroju Santhosh Kumar

Worst food, chicken didn't cooked well and was not fresh. Restaurant maintenance was good

amber bosco

This place is amazing. We eat Indian often and this is the best we have tried. The staff are always friendly and have never had anything less than perfect. There are a couple negative reviews but I don't think they are rating the same restaurant because one of them mentioned a hotel and it is not in or near a hotel. The others mentioned gratuity on a buffet but dinner is off a menu and we have never been charged gratuity, though I wouldn't mind if they did anyway. If you are not willing to leave a tip then stay home cook your own food, serve yourself, and clean your own dishes.

Philip Grosvenor

Best Indian in the area IMO

KK Ann

So incredibly good! Also great service.

Eric MacKnight

This is a very good choice for an Indian restaurant. My 3 and 5 year old come here with me often and they only charge $2-3 per kid for the buffet for them so that's great. The chicken tikka masala is really really good.

Harjt Singh

Third class Indian restaurant, 'absolutely' not suitable for Punjabi peoples.only water was good

Chara Branstutter

Great food and service! Staff is always very friendly. One of my family’s favorite restaurants.

Brian Wurster

Food is excellent, but service lacluster. The server never came back to see if we needed anything, and when the check was brought to us, we felt stalked for payment.

Srinivasa Kadiyala

I had dinner yesterday. I had ordered samosa and goat curry. Goat curry had a very very little sweet taste, that i do not like. But rest was good, and tasty. I wanted to take out one star as I need to remind for side couple of times. But want to give an alert this time. Improvement areas: Focus on service. Repeat follow up to get things in time.

Sam M cCoy

Always fresh and good food for a carry out lunch.

Phillip Levinson

Great place for Americanized Indian food and the staff are all friendly, great for take out too.

S Sieveking

Hungry fam and no dinner? My answer tonight - Raja takeout. Nan with chicken shahi korma (creamy dreaminess) and chicken jalfrezi (whole 30 compliant) took care of us. Hot, flavorful, delicious and happy family...You can’t go wrong.

david walling

First visit to an Indian style restaurant! Very pleased with the lunch buffet! No way to compare, but I liked it all!

Patty Sabino

Raja creates an experience that feels like "home!" The food is so fresh, delicious and the staff is warm and wonderful. You call your own spiciness so everyone is happy. The menu is extensive and priced nice for a large portion. Each member of our fam has their favorite dish, always have some to take home and CRAVE it once its gone. Raja is one of the top two requested restaurants we go to when its dinner out! You've got to give it a try!!!

Valli G

It was my first time trying the restaurant. I loved everything I ordered! Delicious gem in Mason, Ohio.

Luke P

It's serviceable, so I go periodically since I work nearby. It just doesn't reach the flavor standards of the admittedly impressive Cincinnati Indian food scene.

Michael Albrecht

Staff is incredibly friendly, and the food is always delicious!

Adam DiMarco

Love the food and service. If Indian fiOS is new to you try out the lunch buffet.

Prakash Patel

Excellent food. Very nice service.

bobby turner

Decent place small selection but good was alright, friendly staff

thehobbitgirl

Great food, friendly employees, quick service.

Don Balduf

Very nice place for a Sunday dinner with family. The waitress was great at explaining Indian dishes to several at the table who were not familiar. The food was well-prepared and portions were about right. The restaurant has one large room with tables and booths. Many of the customers were obviously of Indian background, so that speaks well for the authenticity of the dishes. You’ll like this place!

Dave Sivertson

Good food and good service.

Ying Liang

Love Indian buffets! Great way to try out new dishes. They have a good selection of food for people who have different tastes, overall it was light and didn’t feel greasy. The price and attentive wait staff is also a plus! My favorite dishes were the saag paneer, goat curry, and aloo gobhi. Can’t wait to come back!

Suzanne Tromblay

Really nice buffet with a wide selection of traditional Indian dishes. The family that runs the place are lovely people, & they run a tight ship. The place is clean, it's well-run, and has a large loyal clientele for good reason. If the buffet doesn't interest you, you can always order off the menu. I highly recommend the lamb korma, the chicken saag paneer, and no meal is complete without lovely fresh naan bread.

Alex Cassinelli

Bland. The presence of a buffet line alone is an indictment of the quality of the food. 20 something male more interested in his phone than checking me out when picking up carry out. Far better choices for Indian in Cincy.

Christian Nesta

Would give 0 stars if I could. Worst. Indian. Food. Ever. Period. Low quality ingredients, almost 0 taste. The lady behind the counter is the rudest person. She appears to be the owner and is absolutely terrible. The food is full of low quality cream, no depth of flavor, no effort made to achieve a good dish. Just low quality food that tastes terrible and will possibly make you ill. Avoid at all costs.

Valerie Britton

Food and service is always amazing. Very clean, friendly and food is authentic with great variety.

Andrew Thomas

Fantastic food and awesome friendly service. Had the Chicken Tikka Masala, Vindaloo and chicken Tikka pieces with Nan bread and all was first class.

Gianluca Bruno

Service and presentation is not top notch, however the food is good, not expensive, and authentic.

IamNolanNorth

I've only been there once, but it was decent. I had lamb vindaloo which was just spicy enough. I'd have to go again for a full opinion

kaufman170

Great food. Our server was very patient and informative. Good place to bring the family.

Hardy Carroll

Everything the wife and I had was great, nice employees, and for an average price.

Gerardo Salazar

The staff is so corteous and the food is incredible. Can't beat the lamb rogan josh and garlic naan.

Michael Beiser

Delicious food, one of the best Indian restaurants around. Never disappointed.

GaryGarith Parshall

There food is amazing the staff are friendly and if asked about the food will give you advice. My question was on the spicy hot factor.

Chris Fox

The best place for Indian food! I've tried several others in the area and have always been let down one way or another.. I always come back to my favorite, Raja India. Excellent food and excellent service. My favorite is the buffet for lunch and the Lamb Korma for takeout.. can't go wrong.

xerrto French

Great food and staff. One of better Indian in area.

Ken Maxwell

I little pricey but great food

Harold Roberts

A small but delicious Indian restaurant with a very affordable lunch buffet.

Ben Wolfe

Great Indian food. Fair prices.

Aaron Cain

Excellent food... excellent people!!...would always recommend.

Hasan Nawab

Good stuff

Jeremy Waters

This place is great! If you're not experienced with Indian food try the Raja Indian Special or the buffet. It was very good and offers multiple items to try. The service was perfect. Harry, our server was very helpful! We will be back.

Pearl Doehlman

The food was delicious, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the service was personable and friendly. I'll definitely be back!

Doug Gregory

Consistently good food. Had been a customer now for the last 2 years

Jana Vaught

A wonderful dining experience. Truly delightful.

Ilona Bobosh

I love this place! We keep coming back for the chicken curry. The blend of spices in their curry sauce is just phenomenal. They also have very yummy fresh baked naan. The price is very reasonable for the portion. One order of curry always means 2 dinners for me. I really like how they can make the curry not spicy at all for you, because I'm the biggest wimp when it comes to spiciness. I've tried some of their appetizers and they have some interesting things, although pretty much all of it seems to be fried. I also LOVE the mango lassi. It's like a mango smoothie with yogurt in it. Delicious! The people that work there are quite friendly. No complaints on service.

Rahul M

The Biriyani that I ordered had green peas. That's not biriyani. I guess the menu mentions the ingredients in it including the peas, but I can't sit there reading every menu item's description all night. When I think Biriyani, green peas are the last thing on my mind. My expectations were significantly different.

Lauryn Moster

This place blew us away and we’re so excited we found it. We just moved to the area and have been sad about our favorite Indian restaurant we left in Utah. But this place was even better!!!! The chicken tikka masala was heavenly and my husband loved the Raja Indian special. They let you decide the spice level of your food, which is perfect for me since I don’t like a ton of spice. We left our son at home but were excited to see all the kids there and that it is a family friendly place so we will come back with him another time. Our waiter, the hostess, and everybody was so so friendly and helpful. We can’t wait to go back.

Phaneendra Tirumani

Good food and nice ambience

Jenny Gast

My husband found Raja a number of years ago. We like to support a locally owned restaurant. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We really like the food.

Zytheis Universe

Best indian restaurant in Cincinnati.

Ritesh Vaidya

Good food. Decent service.

Jacqueline Feldman

I highly recommend this place. The food is delicious, and the service is fantastic. Everyone is so friendly. Highly recommend the lunch buffet if you are just starting to explore this cuisine.

Jerry ku

Food was very good and great service

Joan Cauchy

The food was amazing, the service was very good and the batbroom was very clean, I highly recommend it!!!

Faizan Ahmed Syed

Decent buffet for a decent price. Most of the food lacked spice and was tasteless. Slightly bland food less for my pallet. Friendly staff and good ambiance though.

Bob Noble

Best Indian food around. Great price and very nice people. We eat there all the time and always enjoy it!

Shazafar Khaja

The Indian food here caters more to the American palate. It's not spicy at all and they use the same gravy base for all their curries. The Biryani is less of a biryani and more of rice mixed in a curry. What's the difference you ask? Night and Day. As someone who comes from the land of the Biryani, it just doesn't cut it.

Chip Dunning

The buffet has improved over the years and the selection increased by one or two dishes.

Trisha Ablordeppey

Not very good Indian food. It was very bland.

Rajesh Dat

Nice restaurant and good atmosphere

Judy Koch

This place is in suburbia. It is the sister restaurant of Ambar India in Clifton. I have saag paneer most times we go here. It is the best as compared to other Indian restaurants we've tried. The service is fast and friendly. My grandkids love the Sabaz Chicken.

fadingreminder

Visited this place while out of town and the food and service was SUPERB. We visited around 6:30PM and had a fantastic dining experience. Recommended to anyone who loves Indian food.

Symone Byrd

Food and service was great! I wouldn't complain. Would definitely suggest trying it especially if you've never had this type of food before. They are very helpful in helping you decide what to order based off your preferences. They also offer a variety of vegetarian options as well so something for everyone.

Timmy Ridenour

Loved it food was great staff was very polite

Robert Stewart

Great value. Very good food and service. Best naan I have had. Reasonably priced. Will return soon.

John Williams

Incredible food with service to match. I will definitely be back again. If you are unsure of what to get go for the Raja platter served on the silver platter. It was enough food for 2.

Rakesh Mahadevan

Good Service and tasty food..

David Wagner

Best in town

Bill Sylvester

Most yummy Indian food in the area.

Nathanial Braunstein

Service and food was excellent. Our waitress was a sweet woman who did everything she could to ensure our meal was perfect and everything was to our liking.

kerry gordon

I have been coming here for years but the last time i visited i ordered the chicken dippers for my 4 year old who ate a few of them before my other child told me they smelled funny. They were absolutely rancid. We obviously did not want to eat anything else at that point and just asked politely to leave. They didn't ask us pay for anything which was a nice gesture. Maybe it was just bad luck but after talking with the person that was working that night honestly not sure they understood how serious the situation was. Luckily my child did not get sick but it was very scary and at this point I just dont have much faith in their food prep practices, which is really unfortunate because the family that runs it are all really nice.

Ramesh D

Quality of food is great but pricey compared to other restaurants nearby

Nicholas Flamel

The staff were so incredibly nice that I will not be going to any other Indian restaurant anytime soon

James MacKenzie

Good lunch buffet. Interior is modest but well-kept. Food is decent.

Val E.

Food is just ok, place needs updating, service polite.

AJ L

Amazing Indian food! Our family loves the saag paneer, chicken tikki masala. Everything we've ever ordered has been great. We usually carry out, but have dined in as well in their spacious dining room. Attentive and friendly staff.

Crystal Freeland

The best Indian in town! Get the tandoori chicken or shrimp. It's enough for two, and comes out sizzling! Offer takeout as well.

Kelly Simms

Food is great, staff is really friendly

Anthony Hope

We love Indian food but not having to drive far to get it. Raja India is convenient to home so we come here about twice a year. The food is always good. Always. We have never had a bad meal here. Come hungry and you will leave full. Portions are pretty big and the Nan bread excellent. Service was excellent. Food was to our table piping hot in good time and the Flying Horse beer ice cold. We took our time with friends and were not rushed. If you love spice food, come to Raja India. They will take care of you! Highly recommended!

Kathleen Dickerson

Wonderful Indian food here. Reasonable prices and nice and clean.

Daniel Geering

Great buffet with fast service. Try the mango lassi!

Tim Haverkos

The wife and I absolutely LOVE Raja India. The only place in town that is better is Ambar India in Clifton. Yummy Lamb Korma, Vindaloo Chicken and Chicken Curry and don't forget to order the Pakoras for the appetizer!

Brandon Leonard

We love this restaurant. The food seems very authentic to us (we've never been to India and we're American so take it for what's worth). The people are nice and polite. The food tastes so good and is perfect spice. We keep going back!

Parth modi

Food is good but with american taste... lot of curries are cream based..

James Street

Great service good food good times excellent

Wheelz 3.14

Amazing food. Friendly staff. Drinks. What more could you want?

Ashley Johnson

This is our favorite Indian cuisine north of Cincinnati. The owner is such a nice guy and his wife is very friendly. The rest of the staff is also great; they're very helpful and will bend over backwards to ensure you enjoy your visit. We usually get carry out and they recognize us every time we go in. Sometimes they even throw in some of those sweet little donut balls, free of charge. We love it and will continue to go back.

Noel Matos

I never give out 5 stars... This place definitely deserves it...mmmmmm

Paul Rose

One of our favorite Indian restaurants! We love their saag dishes, samosas and frequently get carry-out as well.

Rajkumar Honmurgi

Had a very bad experience at Raja restaurant. The part time lady that the restaurant hired and served my family was rude and provided poor service. Her behavior was as if she was doing a favor when we requested for basic services like request for menu card a 2nd time and other such normal requests. On top of this poor service, I was charged 20% gratuity. When I asked for explanation, I was told that the restaurant doesnt pay her salary and she exclusively worked for tips. Not a good arrangement for which the customer has to experience poor service. She has no incentive to serve customers well as she is getting 20% gratuity anyways. The food in general was good. However, this person serving us left us with a bad experience. Please do better - Raja Restaurant.

Kevin Burridge

Super nice service from everyone. Only minor complaint is that they brought out the Nan we ordered with the food when we were expecting it as an appetizer. Also, if you are going here with an entertainment book coupon, they will not give you the full amount because they never authorized the coupon book publisher to print coupons for them.

Kate Bredestege

Best Indian in the West Chester area, in my opinion. Delicious, great service, priced about standard for Indian food in the area.

sreelekshmi g

Good place, calmly atmosphere

amangal3

It was our worst experience in Ohio. we were group of 12 people and ordered 3 different dishes - 2 veg and 1 non veg. All the dishes had same gravy. It looked like they just added paneer in 1, kofta in other and chicken in third all having same taste. We all were so much dissapointed as we went there after reading reviews. Also the owner was rude when we told her about the food. She said this is how it is made as if we are eating food for first time in life. Will not suggest any1 to visit there. There are many other good Indian restaurants.

Brad Thumudo

The best service and food in the area. Great friendly staff and out of this world food. Kashmir nan is incredible!!!!

Scott Roth

Great food and the service was stellar!

Sarkar Razz

Food quality needs a major improvement.

Glenford White

Service and food are both very good

Sara Kaushal

Food and service was average. Nothing special, probably wouldn't be back

PerspectiveZ Creative

Great food and atmosphere. Chicken Tandoori is really good and juicy!

Anthony Arns

This is my second visit to Raja India enjoying the lunch buffet. Both visits have been outstanding. The food is very good and the rice pudding for desert is amazing. I have had chicken wings all over Cincinnati and Raja India prepared them the absolute best and for the buffet! Service is excellent and the food is outstanding for a can't miss lunch with your team!

Robin Grace

My favorite Indian restaurant in Ohio! The Buffet is just so-so. But if you order off the menu you will get very fresh and delicious Indian food. My husband is from London and he also gives this place his stamp of approval!!

Scott Rooney

The food was good. There's not a huge selection here. The restaurant was decent. Service was fine.

Willow Drake

Fabulous food and fantastic service!!

Cathy A

It's a smaller place, but very well maintained and has a relaxing atmosphere. The staff is very attentive and friendly and the food here is delicious. My favorite Indian restaurant so far!

Craig Solomon

This is the first time I've been there. I really liked it. The lunch buffet was good and had a nice selection of stuff. The employees were nice and Friendly. I will definitely be back there. If you like Indian food I would definitely recommend them.

AOOH YAMAL

It's very bad and the flavors of food fake not the real Indian flavor, also the prices are expensive.

Penelope Dion

Excellent staff, sensational food.

Roger Turner

Wonderful lunch buffet with many options.

Khaleefa Alkhalidi

Best 8ndian restaurant

fred Quensah

Last week went to this restaurant and I had to rate this place the lowest. There was nothing good about this place bad food, worst customer service , rude staff. Never ever I will go back to this place

Jack Ray

My grandson and I both really like the lunch buffet. The place is clean, people are friendly and helpful. I would recommend this to anyone who wants Indian food.

Manish G Meshram

All the curries taste same, they cook in same masala and just change the meat in it. They don't represent authentic India.

load714

Tipical Indian food, no real wow factor, small buffet. Have gone to better ones for a lower price with much more of a selection.

Desiree Simpson

Simply amazing!!! I ordered the lamb curry and it was something else. They have different levels of spice. My son's had their level 1 which had so much flavor with a hint of sweet. I had the level 4 which was 2 away from the hottest. It was perfect spice. Just enough to clear out the sinuses but not enough to make your guts hurt. I will for sure go back :)

lisa eickenhorst

Great Food! Great Service!! You will not regret trying it out!!!

Luke Fairborn

This place was great. We didn't know that some of the items on the menu have dairy but it doesn't say. The server was outgoing and funny. The food is outstanding and is a great place to take your kids. You must come here.

Chandrasekar Venkatesh

Best naan I’ve ever had

Zachary Fowles

I really liked this place. The staff was very friendly and helped explain what the different dishes were. Food was delicious. Seems to be average prices for most Indian food in the area. Drinks were constantly refilled (without being obnoxious about it). Solid place to go.
