This is located directly behind the Embassy Theatre and Grand Wayne Center. A two block walk. The inside is the size of a hallway. Sliders are put on a dinner roll with a half slice of American cheese and 3 lbs of grilled onions. I asked for just a few "raw" onion slices. They come with mustard, ketchup and the aforementioned mountain of grilled onions, and pickles. No fries, just chips. You WILL smell like onions when you leave, but it is a quick, inexpensive experience that is worth the buck forty five for the cheeseburgers. And they taste good.

They always make these little hamburgers taste like a small slice of heaven. You go in thinking 2 maybe 3 but you end up eating more. Then i buy some to take home to eat later. They are so good!! Brings back my childhood memories with my whole family. They have been around for many years! Love this place!!!

If you like old fashioned grease bomb sliders from heaven this is the best place in The Fort! Or anywhere else lol. I went there as a kid when my dad worked in Ft Wayne and i have always loved them. Powers is my tavorite slider joint by far. Way better than that castle place lol.

My father took me here when I was young. For me, it is a place full of memories. The staff there are ALWAYS friendly and they are always ready to greet customers, some even by name. I watched as a lady came in after a hard day and the person behind the counter gave her the order free of charge. Absolutely made her day better. The food is one of a kind and no IT IS NOT WHITE CASTLE! They wish they were as good as Powers. It will be very hard for me to give this place anything but a 5 star rating.

Have stopping by this place for many years, many times late at night and then in later years with my children and my wife. Still my favorite late-night place to stop by and quick get a quick Burger, and hang out for a bit if it's not too crowded. They cut huge Vadalia onions into slices, in the back room for the burgers. one day my son and I were sitting there waiting for our burgers when we started to cry, the back door was open and the door of the kitchen was open and the gentle breeze was wafting the aroma of the freshly cut onions as the worker stood there at a big slicer, slicing them up. White Castle is shamed in comparison. They're reason W.C. isn't around, no one would go.

It's only got 15 seats, and you will smell like Onions when you leave, but OMG is it worth it ! Small burgers but Huge taste. Try the Chili it is exceptional. One of Fort Wayne's best kept secrets. Worth a road trip to try these little bites of heaven.

It's an original restaurant/concept and the prices are pretty decent (though admittedly their pricing used to be a lot better.) The restaurant itself is about the size of a food truck or small trailer and sits on a random corner just kind of looking dumpy out away from everything at the corner of a mostly empty lot/parking lot. My kiddos and I love onions (but prefer/order them raw) but if you're not a huge fan of onions or condiments, beware of the onions (typically cooked/caramelized,) and the overabundance of ketchup and mustard that are probably equal to or even greater than the weight of the meat on your sliders themselves. If you get a cook who is heavy handed with the ketchup and mustard it can completely overpower the whole slider. I don't really drink but if these guys had a food truck out around the bars late nights they could really make a killing on hungry drunks who want something quick, filling, and convenient. ^_^

If you ever visit Fort Wayne, IN, you have to go to Powers’s Hamburgers. For years, they singlehandedly kept White Castle out of town. Their beef is fresh, and their process of cooking and assembly is awesome. They simply make the best small hamburgers and cheeseburgers in the world. Try one, and see if you don’t agree! Everyone in Fort Wayne will attest to this truth! I came to town visiting for the holidays, my cousin suggested this place for dinner one night and it did not disappoint!!

Man, we read all these reviews on how spectacular this little place was. Staff was friendly, but them burgers though. They tasted rancid. More onion that meat, the wife said the meat tasted old. To me it tasted like slices like boiled meatloaf. No fryers so no onion rings, and no fries.i hope they can figure out how to make real burgers?

Very authentic, old place serving small burgers for very cheap prices - I had cheeseburgers for $1,50 each - and they're delicious! You can either sit at the counter, or sit in the nice garden in front of the restaurant.

I would state this is as iconic as Coney Island when defining the food history of Fort Wayne. Go in to this small original diner and order 4 original power hamburgers. Ask for extra onions. You won’t be disappointed. Love this place. Been going since childhood.

This was one of my favorite places to get a small burger for a quick bite, but I'm not quite sure what has happened...the burgers fell flat on my last visit. The onions weren't cooked all the way and every other burger wasn't topped with ketchup and mustard..it's like they missed half of them. I can't give a horrible rating, but they were better about a year ago than they are right now.

Best sliders! but don't take em in your car lol. Absolutely my favorite spot for that type of food. My only gripe is they aren't open late anymore...Had the opportunity to chat with the cook who was making them a grill full at a time. She said she had worked there for something like 30 years. Staff and customers alike are very friendly. If you are bar hopping in Ft Wayne this is a must stop for some post bar food.

If White Castle had higher quality meat and used a bunch of onions, you'd get Powers. In my personal opinion, and my must state opinion, this is another overrated relic of Fort Wayne's past, but many people here will adamantly defend this place. (Most of them have never had White Castle)
