Food had no taste and it was very overpriced for the portion size. I’ve had Mexican food of all kinds across the country and this by far was the worst. Even the salsa tasted canned and the chips stale also my waitress only came buy to take my order and bring my food. She didn’t even bring me my check or ask if everything was ok. Avoid this dump at all costs unless you’re getting drunk, that’s all they seemed to be good at with the lunch time atmosphere n

Very friendly and courteous staff. They get your order made just right and they continue to check up on you periodically. That's very important when dining because sometimes you might forget to tell your waitress what you something addional that you want to order.

The really friendly and attentive staff did help make up for the food. We've been here twice since moving to the area and both times the food has fallen flat. My steak tacos were dry. The refried beans all around seemed old. They were not the right consistency. As much as we love Mexican food, we will not be back. It's a shame because I've been a fan of Pepe's for as long as I can remember. This location fell very short.

TERRIBLE, CALLED 2 TIMES WAS PUT ON HOLD FOR A TOTAL OF 19:46 SECONDS BEFORE THEY HUNG UP. ONCE ST THE RESTAURANT THE MOD LAURA ACTED AS IF I WAS AS A BOTHER FOR ASKING TO SPEAK TO HER. HER REPLY WAS "WHAT DO YOU EXPECT WHEN WE SHORT STAFFED". I expect to be treated as a paying customer with courteous. Guess that's to much to expect

My son had to have a lot of testing done one day and I wanted to reward him. I told him we could go anywhere he wanted and Pepe's is what he chose. It's always been one of his favorites. This is the first time we've been to this newer Merrillville location and it is beautiful inside! The food was delicious as usual and the portions are huge. Our waitress was a sweetheart and she was on top of everything. All of the staff were very nice. We will be back soon!

Margaritas are very good (strawberry), tacos are the best I've had in any Mexican restaurant, they only serve RC cola instead of Pepsi or Coke, only downfall. Chips and salsa are warmed and tasty

Went in on Valentine's day, they had no rice or no beef whatttttttttt where am I?. Food came to table not very appealing and cold. Just paid and left. Talk to owner Adam the next day not once did he offer to replace our meals. He offered us margaritas, no thanks we don't drink. Needless to say we will not return!

The food is quite tasty, generous portions, and the price is right. There was a mix-up with my wife's drink which they quickly and cheerfully fixed. The wait staff is always cheerful. Simple but nice atmosphere. Have been going there for many years, this location here on Broadway and the previous one a half a mile North.

The warm reception as you walk through the door by the hostess and the owner. The amount of food you get super generous and also very good. We had a waitress name Katie she was phenomenal. Attention to our table was very good. She brought drinks to us before we asked. she had a super smile and personality to go along with it. Make sure you visit Pepe's and ask for Katie.

Great service, ambiance, food. Very clean and comfortable. Outside patio. Fast food service always and good selection. Has a bar. Many TV's mounted on walls-can watch wherever you sit if you want. Food is always delicious with good portions.
