You know that we do not usually stop to write tatings when these are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Restaurant belongs to the category of Chinese restaurant.
They were super nice, made sure to wipe down the already clean tables and chairs when we said we'd eat in, and were very nice about answering questions and substitutions. Food was AMAZING and very good portion control, so glad we decided to choose this little place on the way home, definitely reccomend.
The food is pretty good here. I haven't had a bad experience here. I get the general tso and steam dumping. Can't go wrong with that combination.
Food was terrible, tables sticky and floor dirty
This place is amazing! The food is freshly made with each order. It's one cute little older lady who just runs around and helps everyone. I'm from Oklahoma and this place makes me want to move here!
Decent Chinese buffet. The dishes are tasty and well prepared. It is only average quality. There is limited space and the available selection suffers a bit. The fried dumplings are a highlight. I would go again.
food isn't that great in my opinion. Price is average and people are friendly. Could use a cleaning and maybe some fresh paint or wallpaper.
Great food and service for our family with kids. Buffet is only lunch and Friday evenings so we ordered some individual dishes which were great.
Wasn't sure what to order so let the gentleman working pick. He brought me almond chicken. It was just what i was looking for and didn't even know it. Will definitely go back.
They have over night truck parking!!! The plates are made fresh and are served a quick as subway, why go anywhere else! The food is delicious! The crew is very nice and welcoming. We had fun!
Would give zero stars if I could. EXTREMELY small portions for regular chinese restaurant prices. Lo Mein and crab ragoons were terrible.
Decent food, good prices, especially if you buy one if the Family Dinner packages. My only 2 complaints: #1 Their Orange Chicken/Beef is vinegary (not in a bad way) and has 0 orange flavor, not even a hint. #2 None of their "spicy" dishes are even remotely spicy (AT ALL), the say they'll adjust spiciness to your tastes, but I never remember to request "extra" heat. Egg rolls are good, as are any of their "on a stick" meats. Be aware their fried rice is rice only (looks like yellow colored plain rice), you have to get one of the special variations of it to get any meat, onion, etc. in it.
Best Crispy Beef and General Tso’s shrimp in town!
If you're looking for a colon cleansing or to relive your college years by spending Sunday hugging the porcelain throne; then this is the place for you. If you are looking for something with quality and that would pass all standards placed by the department of health, this place is definitely not for you. After a long Saturday at the ballpark, my husband and I were looking for a quick bite to eat. The more popular restaurants that we're accustomed to had 45+ minute waits. I seriously have regretted my lack of patience that night. We passed by Peking and noticed that it wasn't too busy. We walked in and noticed 1/10 of the tables were full. We sat at a booth and I told my husband "this can't be good if people right around the corner are willing to wait almost an hour rather than eating here." The floors were filthy and had food all over them. It took a waiter almost 10 minutes in this nearly empty restaurant to ask what we wanted to drink. My husband started fixing his plate immediately after. I walked around to view the selection. Majority of the food looked as though it had been sitting a while. Some of the boiled shrimp looked like it was sitting in ditch water. The shrimp itself was starting to fall apart. I ate what I though looked fresh which was only 3 things. I was surprised at checkout to see how overpriced this poor quality food was. We have a Peking in our area that's half the price, better food and always packed with customers. This Peking in Monroe was a disappointment. I regretted my decision to eat there on my 4 hour travel home. The reminisce of what I ate are now down a highway south of Monroe. It was terrible and had me down for 3 days. Save yourself the trouble and head somewhere else when in the area.
Good variety at a good price. Selection of items better than most. Quality is above average and regularly checked. Service is prompt and efficient.
Amazing Wong Tongs and service was great!
Nice buffet at noon. Fresh. Worth the 7$
We had a extremely pleasant lunch. Food was great, service was great, and our waitress was very attentive. Love dining at Peking.
Love this place
Mmm extra greasy and tasteless.
This is not just the best in Midtown, this is the best in Kansas City!!!! The food is always fresh and delicious and I will always keep coming back for crispy beef and the AMAZING crab Rangoon and dumplings. Don't forget to tip!! You'll be pleasantly surprised.
We come here lots when we worked in the area. Great noodle
Very good food. There was no music which was weird... Kinda awkward at first trying to talk in such a quite place but once people came in and started talking it got less awkward.
Very good buffet. Courteous help.
Peking is an amazing, adorable little restaurant in midtown. Very clean. Heidi - the owner and our server was kind, attentive and sweet. The food was astounding! I'd go as far as to say the best Chinese in KC. I highly recommend trying this place out if in the area for any reason!
Authentic attitude and good food
All the pans look about the same, all the food tastes about the same. Mediocre at best.
Great food, great prices one of my favorite restaurants for Chinese. The owner is a great lady to talk to
Food is good. Have had a lot of other places and I always come back to here. They are fast. Place is always empty but I'm sure everyone takes it to go anyways.
Good
Rice is always old and overcooked
Excellent food! Plenty of room and very friendly. Can eat in or take out.
Wouldn't serve me. I just got off work (I work construction) they were open for business with not a single customer in the establishment. A little old lady approached us and asked how many we said 2. Then she asked if we worked construction. We said yes. The lady said we not open and asked us to leave. I will never go back and tell everyone in the Union I'm in to boycott this establishment.
Omg is all i cancsay this food here this food here omg clean neat they take the time needed to prepare an unforgettable authentic meal... Please guys go give them a try food is love if ur a fan of fried chicken omg is all i have to say
Good food here at a normal price
Omg i love this place the food is great and her customer service is even better this plave has been open for more than 30 year and still have great foid right across from uptown
Good food good staff. Buffett loaded
Good food. Well worth the price!!!
Really good food and quiet atmosphere. Really satisfied!
Wonderful place to fill up with the family on the weekend. Decent prices, quick staff. All you can eat BABY!!
Adrian is the best
TERRIBLE!!!!!! DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!!!!!!! I ordered 3 things and they sent me like 6 things that I did not order..and charged me $60 for things I did not order.. when i called back they said they had a recording of me ordering those stuff I asked them to send me this recording and obviously they couldn't because its not true!!!!! I was on the phone like 30 minutes with the manager trying to get things cleared up but because they dont speak english he was just confusing everything even more...ugh Please dont eat here.. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER...besides that, the food was also disgusting..
We were the only ones in there when we are. Reading the other reviews that seems to be the case. I understand the frustrations about customers wanting to use the bathrooms and stuff like that. Trying to find every way to charge customers. But nothing about that situation made us feel welcome. You might have more people willing to dine in if it wasn't so uncomfortable. She was hovering while we were eating, it was to the point I just wanted to eat and get out. My food wasn't terrible but it wasn't great either, kind of lukewarm
The best crab rangoon I've eaten anywhere in Kansas City. I had Orange Chicken that was fresh and crispy with fresh orange peel. My date had delicious twice cooked pork. The owner was friendly and helpful too.
Awesome all you can eat. Japanese, American, Cajon and Chinese was all on lunch buffet. Wonderful choices and restaurant.
I will never eat here again! The shrimp rolls have a strange tiny orange looking substance they call shrimp! Also, the middle age woman usually at the front desk is not polite...she can be very rude! I will never return here again!!!!
Very good food! The hostess is a lovely lady and we has a fun conversation!
Food whit good test n flavor. Just need to keep the area clean n neat including the restroom.
Great food and good price. Friendly people
No matter how busy the staff still makes it look effortless with a smile. When they error they are eager to get it right the next time. The food is fresh and refills frequent. Variety is key for kids and adults.
Always good food and service.
Wonderful place if you want to taste real Chinese food
Great food. Owner is a bit rude, but maybe she's under a lot of stress. I dunno. Food makes up for lack of happiness lol
Carry-out order review. My gauge for Chinese restaurant is Mei Fun and fried dumplings as the first test in which this establishment earned flying colors. They used just the right amount of oil to leave any absence of a dripping/pooling mess for the Mei Fun. Both had a generous portion with a surprisingly low price. My order came out quickly from the kitchen largely due to being pretty early for a dinner. The dishes weren't overly salty for a typical Chinese restaurant, but a bit much compared to home cooked dishes.
Love the food here. Big selection.
Ms Marilyn our waitress was really nice and provided Great customer service. The food wasn't that good, it was cold and under seasoned
This is the worst buffet I've ever been to, it is horribly limited and was always almost completely empty, and they charged far too much for far too little.
I love the egg rolls and Mongolian Beef. I have been going to this restaurant for 15+ years.
Food is always great and we get it pretty fast. Best crab ragoon ever.
This place is absolutely adorable. Honestly the most visually appealing chinese place i've ever been to. Then lady who works there is extremely kind (if you think otherwise, then YOU are probably the problem). The food is delicious, like really delicious. Try the fried rice, its to die for. This is my fave spot in KC hands down!
I walked in and didn't see anyone there so I just started eating the buffet. Eventually a man came out and told me where to get my drinks. I'm pretty sure there was only one man doing all the cooking, cashiering, and waitering. He was nice and unintrusive. This is a no frills place with no ambiance. The buffet was fresh and has all the traditional Chinese buffet dishes. The chicken was really good. If you want a unique place to show off to your friends, this isn't the place. If you just want a place to eat Chinese food and not be bothered, this is your place.
Awesome food, 10 dollars buffet no drink
I definitely love the food here the woman who is the owner is always very clear about your order with repeating it back to you. Also they always make everything really fresh from the moment that you order it and they provide really fast service list preparing your food.
Never order food for delivery since their drivers are not trained to be professional . They are very rude .. Would never order from this place
Good food and service
This is the best "Fast food" buffet type restaurant in the twin cities.
Very nice lady that greeted us. Very fast service and friendly. Definitely coming back.
Excellent food, we always order take out for our shop, very nice people, and very generous. Will be repeat customer.
Good food
The best Chinese food in KC hands down! Not only is the food impeccable, the owner is the sweetest lady and completes the authentic Chinese restaurant!! I will forever choose this establishment first when it comes down to Chinese food
Great
Very polite and fast service. Can take out or eat in.
Great place to go if you want some Tso chicken or lo mein. I would recommend going during typical meal time hours (11-2, 5-7) since it is a buffet. When they get slow the food does not get replaced as often. This means you are more likely to eat something that has been sitting there for a little while.
Terrible food and worse service
Great food
I love this spot. I am from NYC and this has been the closest in taste I've eaten here in Maryland. No major frills just good "Chinese" food.
Ate here before and it was good. Tonight, I didn't enjoy the food and felt ripped off. The food was over cooked and wonder how long the used oil has been in the deep fryer. I threw most of the food away because it was that very bad. People seemed friendly here and treated me rather pleasantly. Sadly, I came here for the food. So, I rated it with a one star.
Place was dirty, I had beef and mushrooms, the beef tasted burnt, rice tasted like it was yesterdays. My husband has general tso's he said it was like frozen day old chicken. Not good
When we first tried this place, we were enamored...but the last few times we've been less than satisfied. The lady that waits on people has been increasingly rude and pushy with her sales, the food was less than sub par with prices that don't reflect the quality of the food. I was charged almost $10 for an order of spring rolls and crab rangoon. Seriously?! The lack of customers (I mean everytime we go there is NEVER another customer) and the amount of dust accumulated in there did not get past me. If you look above the entrance to the dining room, the vent duct is actually exposed with a dirty rag covering it. Not acceptable. You get one time to make me feel like my business isn't wanted, and this past visit resulted in just that. I will not be patronizing here again, and I'll advise my friends and family of the same.
Food was over cooked
Not bad, Shrimp Egg Foo Young.
THIS PLACE HAS ROACHES. DO NOT GO
I think the lady that answers the phone for take out is hilarious, and the food is great. I love this place.
I am incredibly picky about Chinese food. I love it, but I'm careful about where I go because some many restaurants serve nasty food that's been sitting under heat lamps for hours or has been reheated multiple times. If you're looking for for delicious high quality fresh Chinese this place is definitely the place to go. However because of my recent experiences I will never eat in house. This ordered for carryout a week or so back and the lady who took my order was slightly rude. Luckily I was too hungry to care. When I arrived the first thing I see are signs on the door. One says "$2 minimum drink purchase to use restroom" which I thought was kind of strange but maybe nessesary with all the drunk people on the weekends. Then there is another one that says "No dirty clothes, no dirty shoes" I brushed it off and went inside. There were other signs around the register about what they charge for everything from duck sauce to chop sticks. I left feeling unwelcome but when I got home and ate my food it was so some of the best I've ever eaten. This morning I thought I'd stop by for lunch and found that they were going doing atv11:30 even though both Google and the sign on their door said 11. I will probably eat here again because the food is great, but I will never eat there.bi will always be taking it to go.
It was a bit on the higher side as far as price goes, but similarly priced to the Mandarin Restaurant in town. Some might consider it to have a "run-down" look, but I've been to enough family cafes to disagree. I had the Crab Rangoon and Mongolian Beef. I love Crab Rangoon and haven't found a restaurant I haven't liked as far as these go. The Mongolian Beef was a bit more moist than I normally prefer when it comes to this dish, but otherwise it was good! (My favorite version of Mongolia Beef so far is that of the New Mandarin Restaurant in Laramie or Dragon Palace in Seward, NE) I would try them again.
Great lunch buffet.
My favorite Chinese buffet in the country. I travel quite a bit for work and have never found another buffet that comes close. The food is always hot and fresh. We always ask for Adrian to wait on us, he us a great server that is really friendly and loves his job. Thus is the first place I go everytime I get back in town.
Delicious and cheap!
Cheap and good eats
Went in for a quick lunch. When I first walked in, I wasn't sure I was in the right place. However I navigated through a small hallway and made my way to a 2nd door. The location combined with the decorations made it seem almost as though I was on an adventure. Upon reaching my destination I was instantly confronted by a small Asian lady appearing from the back as if I were of dire importance. I began my order. Ordering was quick and easy, menus were accessible on the counter. I scanned quickly and ordered the sweet and sour chicken. We exchanged a few words had a few laughs then poof she was gone. I took a seat in the waiting area and glanced over all of the arcticles posted about Peking on the wall. To my surprise there have been several movies filmed in the restaurant, this only made me more eccstatic about receiving my order. It wasn't very long before I was greeted again by the same lady, she handed me my food, we said our "welcomes" "thank you", and I was off. I thought to myself my lunch adventure has ended, but when I opened the white lunch box I realized I was mearely beginning. There were large chicken portions doused in sweet n sour sauce accompanied by sliced onions & bell peppers, a ball of seasoned fried rice, and majestically fried ragoons. It was though my tastebuds went on a journey and still have yet to return. What a glorious lunch. I will be returning to this food establishment as well as encouraging others to partake in the adventure as well.
Wonderful service and pretty okay food. Would come back just for the great service.
Always good food. The Buffett is always fresh and very good.
The best Chinese food I have had in a long time!
Excellent as usual!
Great food.
Just don't like how they put old food up at the bar... it's horrible.. chicken was tough.. BUT STAFF IS VERY COURTEOUS!
It's not my favorite but it's one of the better ones in town.
Me & the wife normally eat here at least once r twice a month, luv their food buffet one of the best Chinese restaurant n the area.
Sorry Golden Coast this is my new Chinese food carryout. They actually deliver & deliver fast and the food is 10x better :)
This Resruraunt sucks, I'm a student on campus 4 miles away and they refused to deliver here based on past students not tipping or maybe they didn't want to deliver because of my race
Great food, and excellent portion sizes!
I love it here!!! Best Chinese in town, only place I go... Best crab ragoon .
You will be served by Heidi, the friendliest person. Their food is really good and service is fast.
Service is always friendly and food is hot and fresh.
Great service and great food.
No fresh food specialy if you go after 8:00 pm they gave me a return food over heat. The fryrice has nothing inside only tiny pieces of chiquen o probably cat...
2-3 days a week for lunch buffet...perfect size restaurant for a little town
Very nice lady at the front desk. Food was good too
The food was great. Their delivery service was great. Food was hot when it arrived. Thank you.
always fresh, quick seating, and great sushi ! this is my weekly lunch treat spot, would recommend to anyone.
Great food and a large variety
Great food,and great service
Phresh, Hot And Tasty... Loved it!
Gave me rotton chicken, rice tasted like cigarettes.
Rude woman yelling at me when I tried to place an order for delivery. Like literally her screeching hurt my rare through the phone
Love peking just wished they would get a hibachi grill where you can fix whatt you want
Best orange chicken north of portland. The place is small but it's more of a takeout anyway.
My roommate says it's great but me sorry Don't and will not touch C. Food
Good, best portion for the money especially the dinner menu
Heidi is a neighborhood treasure! Be prepared to act right, be respectful, and enjoy a fantastic, freshly made meal. Prices are beyond reasonable, and her food is always very fresh, and piping hot. Grab some take out and be prepared to make this a regular weekly stop!
Awesome food
The chef came out of bathroom and he didn't wash his hands, I went after him in the bathroom and the sink was dry, no even a drop of water. Disgusting.
It was good .and the people that work there where nice ..
Went in with a party of four, and were later accompanied by two others. They were visiting, and weren't planning on eating. The woman waiting on us aggressively tried to sell them food. When it came time to pay, she included gratuity, though our party was small and on separate tickets. When we asked why she included gratuity, she started ranting about how we weren't going to tip, and how white people are stingy. All in all, incredibly rude, and quite the opposite had she not been so abrasive. Our experience here felt rushed, and unwelcome. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone based on our experiences. The food was not bad, or notably good.
An institution. Food is great, Heidi is awesome. Don't forget to tip, as Heidi might throw in some rangoon or cookies!
I have never been in this restaurant before today and I will never step foot in it again. I walked in and asked if I could get lunch carryout and the lady said yes. I asked what vegetables are in the Chicken and Vegetables (spicy) and was told all kinds- if you tell us what vegetables you want in it you will have to pay $1 more. Then I asked if they had brown rice. She told me to go to somewhere else and mentioned PF Chang and another place. I told her I wanted steamed rice and not fried. Well, why did I say that??!! She started mocking me and the questions I asked- and this was AFTER I already paid her. I told her never mind, I don't want anything. I have never been so rudely treated as a customer...... EVER!! If I could give no stars, I would.
I went one night they were good next iight they had cold food on the buffet HOWWWWWW
Great food and service
I ordered a dinner delivery for my mom early Friday, January 9. The order consisted of Shrimp Rolls, Hot and Sour soup and Singapore Mei Fun. The soup was neither hot (as in spicy) nor was it sour. The Mei Fun was so bland she had to put soy sauce on it, even though it was also advertised as spicy. The shrimp rolls were only "OK". We will not be returning to this location. What a disappointing first (and last!) experience. As an experienced hospitality and food service worker, I strongly recommend that you save yourself the time and the money.
Large portions family friendly people
I visited this place for a quick takeout meal and enjoyed it very much! Delicious chicken lo mein, crab rangoon and hot and sour soup. While they were getting my order, I caught up with Heidi. What a kind, funny person and great restaurant! I'll always come back when I'm in KC.
Great buffet.
Always fresh and delicious, Super friendly staff. We love going here and will be returning.
Food is always good, but don't bother asking for any substitutions or extra sides for charge, not even politely. You will be yelled at in front of the entire dining room.
Omg!! Do not go!!!! Tried to come before a show at Uptown. If I could give it a negative review I would. One lone crazy lady. Took forever to get our order. It was 6:30. Told us I know your show is not til 8. Your food won't come for an hour. Ummm...what?? I am busy. No food for an hour. Ok. Well we are leaving then. She literally blocked our way out the door. $5 min. 2 people used the bathroom. You owe me $2 a person. No really we don't. She wouldn't let us leave. We gave her$2. All ate up with the crazy!!
This is a restaurant that has been around for a long time. There was only one other table there while we were but numerous carry out orders were picked up. We started with an order of vegetable spring rolls. They were very good. Next we tried their shrimp toast that was also good. We both had egg drop soup. It was ok but not very hot. For an entree, we had szechuan shrimp. The shrimp was flavorful. The veggies were cooked just right but the sauce was just spicy without much other flavor. I'd save this as a carry out spot and probably wouldn't dine in again.
This is one if the best hidden spots in Columbia. Even after moving away, I will still drive back to get their food.
It was just ok.. I stopped in to allow the monstrous traffic jam to pass.. It wasnt the best hunan shrimp I've had and broccoli was really hard but I did eat all my food.
Best Chinese food that Lewiston/Auburn has to offer.
Two Words : "The Best"
Went here yesterday for dinner. It was pretty good, but not great. The hot and sour soup needed more salt then it was good. The pot stickers were homemeade so that was nice. The orange chicken was good as well as the almond chicken. The service was slow as the waiter needed to be flagged down do get the check and refills. That being said it's way way better than Royal Mandarin.
Not bad food being close to a truck stop. Definitely would stop back here
The best authentic Chinese restaurant in Maine! My boyfriend and I traveled up to Maine for vacation. We discovered this amazing Chinese restaurant. The restaurant is owned by a Chinese couple. They are very friendly. The host recommended Broccoli Chicken. It was indeed the best Broccoli Chicken I had! I think the food is underpriced. I would pay at least $10 for this quality of food in Boston.
Hidden gem for probably the best Chinese food in Maine. Don't let the fact that the front of the store doesn't look pretty fool you this restaurant is where Chinese from around New England come for authentic excellent food.
How did the saying it's 5 today it was very hot and very good
I ordered the crab fried rice and the crab hot and sour soup. The crab was clearly not real and didn’t even taste like imitation crab. I’m not sure if it was even meat. The place falsely advertises using crab in the food.
Mu gu gai pan was very good. Quiet atmosphere.
Today, after eating with my family, I noticed blantant profiling and impudence directed toward the interracial couple sitting in the table next to me. They were given their bill before they were served contrary to our party and the surrounding customers that were billed afterward. The waitress' service was short-worded, passive aggressive, and blatantly rude. There was a mutual agreement between me and these strangers (the targeted customers) that this behavior and treatment was inappropriate and unnerving. Even I, a teenager, am cable of treating people politely. The food was okay, the service was unacceptable. 1/5.
Excellent food, Hostess was very nice. Prices were really good. I will be back.
Good food/service!
Fair food. Many items that are normally mild spicy were very very spicy on this visit. Service is always excellent.
Highly recommend if you dont like food. Ordered delivery and its been 2 hrs and still waiting. Terrible delivery service. They dont pick up their phone either so one call check on the status of the delivery. Dont know how their food is.
This place is alright. It has been in a steady decline for a decade. I recommend RAWz or Eastern if you really want Chinese/East Asian food.
Food was really bland and soggy. We ordered General Tso’s chicken and chicken lo mein and it tasted like bad leftovers. Won’t be ordering again.
My fiance and I have been ordering the same two items from here since I moved to KC in 2015. Always hot and always consistent. This is the only Chinese food place I've eaten at more than once in the area. The woman who works the front counter and takes orders is my favorite! Prices are fair and we always have enough to last several meals.
Nice surprise. Portion size for take out is good. Neat, clean, packed to the top if the container. Not messy or dripping greasy sauce. Ordered Mongolian Beef and Chicken. Ratio of meat to veg nice and high leaning heavy on the meat. Tender and tasty. Shrimp Lo-mein was good, 7-8 big shrimp and a nice sauce. Price is good, lower than others in Laramie, and the quality is very good.
Good service good food
Very friendly service is good so is the food
Food was great! Love the atmosphere here.
Always very inviting and friendly atmosphere. Very polite and great food.
great food, we ordered the shrimp egg fu young, it was amazing the best we ever had!
Very good food.
I Love This Place We Know Them On A First Name Base There Like Family Lisa The Owner Of The One in West Monroe Louisiana Where We Go Is Such An Amazing Person
Horrible horrible food and service! Worst experience ever!
I have given this place 2 chances because I live near by. The service is probably the worst service I have ever experienced in a restaurant. The owner/waitress/hostess is incredibly rude and confuses herself and the customer. Expect the restaurant to be completely empty and dead silent. Odd, awkward atmosphere when trying to get an order placed correctly. First time I ended up taking the food with me because it took so long to get and it ended up in the trash because it was not appealing. Second time, all we wanted was hot and sour soup. Sit down. Order the soup and she is hounding us to order an entree. We say we are unsure and to come back. I go to use the restroom. Come back try to explain we didn't want entrees. Apparently that isn't an option. So she takes my card to pay. Comes back and she charged me to use the restroom and said we had to spend more money in order to get any food... yet she can charge us to sit down, waste our time and use the restroom? Expect to pay extra for every little thing. I don't think tap water is free. Pretty sure you get charged for a napkin lol. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME.
TRash ass fud. Found a roach in my food. Yum.
Always good experience, friendly and nice workers.
Fantastic food made fresh to order. I hadn't been in a while and received a great meal at a good price without constant interruption. Support this restaurant!
This has to be the worse Chinese food I have eaten in kc. Runny soggy chicken mess is best I can describe general Tao chicken.
Save your money. Most food was cold on the steam table. Our waiter was informed. Sesame chicken was colder than the rest. I was dining about 7:30. I attempted to eat sweet and sour chicken. It was so old and the chicken was dark brown and dry. I showed the waiter. I asked why food like this would leave the kitchen. My husband has been sick with his stomach bloating and hurting since last night and he ate chicken spegetti and salisbury steak. No one came out to check steam table, remove old food, and no fresh put out. Eat somewhere else. Don't waste your hard earned money. Use to be a good place to eat.
The place could use some updating inside & outside. The parking can be frustrating at times. The waitress was pleasant & nice. The food was mediocre reason being that it could have been hotter & fresher. The garden bar was pretty decent.
Food was very disappointing. Most of it looked and tasted like it had been sitting there for hours. Floor and table were dirty and sticky. Staff was friendly though.
Best Chinese food around. Best in the Lewiston Auburn area hands down. They even give you free food depending on how much you buy. It's great.
The staff is great and the food is excellent. We eat there 3or4 times a month
Food kind of bland. Buffet not well stocked. Waited to have our order taken, and then to get someone to give us our bill and a takeout box.
Food was magnificent!
Food was good but I got a headache out of nowhere
Shaboing boing!
Love my fried dumplings!
Yummy, yummy, yummy. Staff is very nice. They keep the buffet in top top shape and full.
Taste great. Priced right.
My younger boys love this place!
LOVE AND ENJOY EATING THERE
I have been dinning here for over 20 years, great food, great service and owners takes time to know what each customer likes and don't like. If u pick mushrooms or onions out 1 time she remembers for life! So for the customer Od P, Heidie meant no harm she only remembered you didn't like veggies last time so she was suggesting u get another meal simulair without the extra veggies. Leaving small tips to a family owned business would be ok with her if you loved your food. Always read signs before ordering so you know what your going to be charged for, this is a honest hard working husband and wife that wouldn't take any extra from anyone. Love you Heidie, your husband and your food, please don't let the few undeserving customers run you off. We need your fabulous crabragoons, spring rolls and every dinner plate you have served us over the past 20 years.
Always good place to eat.
GREAT FOOD. When you go in...Ask for RENEE. She is a AWESOME Waitress... She was Very Nice an ALWAYS Smiling no matter what.. Mg Lisa was Friendly too.
Their peach cobbler was old or over done
Love the Genetal Tso chicken and the crab rangoon!
Really good, and great prices for the lunch specials
There food is just amazing. I've Eat a lot of chanise food at lot of different places, but this guys are the real deal . If you just can stop to check it out you will see what I'm talking about. Strongly recommending this place .
Only unhealthy side options for vegetarians (like salty smothered greens, fries, potatoes, and macaroni and cheese). Virtually impossible to eat here as a vegan, there is even pork in the green beans. No real, raw sushi. I have eaten only once here and at the Ruston location, and both myself and my friends have gotten stomach and bowel complications afterwards. Not an ideal place to dine whatsoever.
Service was great... Food was great also
Very good service.
We thoroughly enjoyed our experience! Great food, good prices, and wonderful sevice!
ordered the combination fried rice - DELICIOUS . . . best i've had anywhere :)
.....I have eaten at many, many CHINESE Restaurants. ....NONE CAN COMPARE. ..!!!...BTW. ..I AM 62 YEARS OLD. ...and have traveled this COUNTRY...A LOT. ....
The best place in the area for take-out Chinese food. Family-run and very clean, reasonably priced.
As a black woman who works in one of the nearby business parks, I will say it seems as if they have an issue serving black people. The older woman who works at the front is rude and very dismissive. I won't spend my black dollars here. Funny thing is, this behavior is common.
Always a great spot to order from, small location. Good portions for the price, their Hunan Chicken and sesame chicken is delicious.
We have ordered with them for the past 10 years and have had several issues. They would often forget food like rice, etc. One time the order we got was so nasty it was impossible to eat, they made me drive it in to return it and they gave me a hard time about the food. The issue that finally did it was they gave us the wrong order, then they made me drive it back, then they insisted on charging me for the $2 difference in the items. I always order the same meals every time. They rang up the wrong thing. Not me. Huge inconvienience for me, and they charged me for it! yuck. They get 2 stars only because the food is above average. So far though we have liked a new place we tried better.
This place is so dope!!! Went here on Thanksgiving- it was slammed and still had an amazing conversation with Heidi. She threw in free egg rolls and free crab rangoons. Definitely found our new spot in KC.
The food is Nasty....DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE..... BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!! NEVER!!!!! Very racist!!!
For a small town buffet it's pretty good food.
So many options it was overwhelming. Featured a great variety of Asian dishes alongside of some Southern and Mexican dishes and salad and dessert bars. Sushi was excellent. I really enjoyed this place and wish I lived close enough to return for more.
Sweet n Sour chicken is so good!
The food is bland. I ordered about 7 different dishes and I thought I was eating one. It all tasted the same. The pan stickers didn't feel like they were steamed enough and the wrapper they use is too thick. We will most likely not order from here again.
Consistently good food every time. Friendly staff!
The food was great, definitely coming back.
Food was good but, terrible service. I am never going back. The lady kept pushing us to buy more food. At the end she added a $1 tip because I guess we didn't buy enough. She also added 50¢ to the meals under $5.
Heidi is very nice and is always happy to do business. We used to live near there, so this place is of great sentimental import to me and my wife. The food is great - I recommend lo mein, the chicken wings (no kidding), or crab Rangoon. Enjoy!
The food is always great and fresh, the woman at the front is always nice.
Service could be better
Very Good
I had a real pleasant time. The owner was very nice, and the food was excellent. This will definitely be one of my regular stops
Way overpriced rude service all in all very poor experience me and my partner are pissed and feel fooled
WORST Chinese EVER , boyfriend & I went a few days ago , the food was cold & disgusting , we payed for our drinks & left about 10 minutes after we got there . We will NEVER go back .
After I arrived there yesterday to pick up food for my mom I asked to use the restroom. The cashier told me I had to buy something first. So I went around back by the dumpster. When I returned to make my purchase she asked me to leave. After showing her a $100 bill and telling her my mom wanted the food she stopped trying to dismiss me from her lobby. I then gave her a kind explanation of public accommodation in America. Got the food, 4 apologies and a drink. But public prejudice in the USA remains prominent.
This was some of the best Chinese food we ever had, the service was good and the people were nice! My entire family enjoyed it
Nice people and clean establishment. Food cooked fresh and usually to ur liking.. ordered the general chicken with pork fried rice, egg roll and shrimp Rangoon.. very good.. gotta try ..
Great place to eat
My go to!
My family has been ordering food for delivery from this restaurant for years and we are always happy with our food. They rarely make mistakes. We only order delivery from here as its the best. We only visited once and it wasn't very attractive, but the food is always good.
Very good! Will be back!
Very good Chinese food that was a little heavy on the vegetables but wasn't over salted like most Chinese places. The shrimp was perfectly cooked as well.
Favorite Chinese food in the city. Great lo mein.
Friendly service and good food
Best crab Rangoon I've ever had. Very good food all around. Affordable.
Always on point !
Good food good service friendly people
Really poor excuse for chinese food. You can watch them pull food items from unmarked bags etc. Uncomfortable feeling.
Great food
Good food. Good service. Family friendly. Great price.
The best Chinese food I've ordered since moving to Columbia thus far-I've tried at least 2-3 other places with no luck. It's not the best Chinese food ever but I always feel satisfied when I buy from here (they're consistent). They're light on the seasoning for the fried rice- probably because there's no MSG? I always order a combination fried rice but today I'm trying a shrimp roll and General Tso but I feel safe enough to try! The only con which I deducted one star for is that delivery takes far too long. I only live down the street and I always have to go pick up because of the delivery time.Otherwise all else is good and I'll keep being loyal to this local business ^_^
Heidi is the best! She always gives deals and the food is always reasonably priced and comes out fresh and hot. The lunch specials are unbeatable. She has a way to make you laugh and really appreciates her customer and does whatever she can to make them happy. I will always come back here as long as Heidi is here.
Always friendly and fast service.
I literally waited 45 minutes for a to go order when people who came in and ordered to go after me got their food first. Never again.
Foods okay but the restaurant itself has mold growing on the ceiling in the dining area.
Great food
Foods ok. Envirinment is... creepy.
Great good,fast service
Amazing place. We passed thru looking for a place to eat, and here we are. Amazing place
Me encanta esta comida es la mejor de todas delicioso todo le doy 5
Had lunch there today. I'll probably never go again. We never got waited on & had to get our own water. The plates at the buffet were ice (and I mean ice) cold! I had to ask them to warm up my plate. Then I got my bill! OMG! $10.58 per person!! Are you serious! Needless to say, I did not leave a tip!! I do not recommend this restaurant. IMO, $23.00 is an outrageous amount of money to pay for a lunch buffet for 2 people.
The owner is incredibly nice, and if you order carryout, the food is ready very quickly. Everything I have ordered so far from their extensive menu has been really delicious. I have been reading some of these other reviews, and I think that people are confusing Peking with New Peking (the one in Westport) I have had nothing but amazing service, even some free eggrolls and drinks now and then. The food is well made, piping hot and reasonably priced. I think it is perfectly fair for her to say that people spending under five dollars need to leave. It costs her more to have to fire up than it is worth you taking up a table just to barely eat. If you're still reading this far down, you should check it out. Awesome place. Cool atmosphere. Nice owner. Good food. Low prices. What more can you ask for?
The food is delicious, and the owner/server is friendly, albeit shy. The lunch buffet has fresh food.
please DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!! I ordered combination lo mein w. 2 dollar extra shrimp, when the delivery man arrived he practically held my food hostage refusing to give it to me unless I gave him a tip. My lo mein was basically just noodles, only had 3-4 very tiny shrimp and almost NO other meat. I called the manger only to put in a complaint not looking for a refund and he insisted on arguing on the phone with me for about 10 mins until I got fed up and hung up. wasn't going to put up a review until I Jair seen that my credit card was charged $42, for just a lo mein ?? there's no way! I would give this restaurant negative star if I could :(
I love this place! Heidi works her butt off to keep customers happy. She is very proud of her restaurant and it shows. Best crab Rangoon and best hot and sour soup. Don't let the interior discourage you - take it in for all it's unintentionally retro-Chinese restaurant glory.
Small but very good food, great for dining out. Dining in it is small and limited tables.
Great food!!!
Good selection enjoy and service is good. Prices are fair.
Awesome
Very awful
Meh... decent
I always enjoy this place. Excellent selection of Chinese, sushi, seafood, Cajun and American. Huge selection, very good service. Buffett stays fresh and stocked. I really like the baked fish. Open late.
Best chinese I've found in Columbia so far. It's not the best ever but it's good. Only a few issues - the smaller shrimp that are in the lunch specials and in the combination fried rice taste... weird, iodine-y, just taste off. The large shrimp they use in dinner entrees are great, through. Their fried rice always seems like it could use another minute or two frying, or maybe some more soy sauce? The crab rangoon aren't the best, I can't actually see or taste any crab, lol. But the steamed or fried dumplings are particularly tasty, I highly recommend them. I also tend to get the egg rolls, pork lo mein, the chicken with spicy vegetables, the shrimp with lobster sauce, they're all very good! I typically order delivery or carry out and they've never messed up my order. Delivery is quick!
The lady I always see there is always so nice! The food is great and the wait is never very long. One of my favorite places to go in KC!
My favorite Chinese restaurant! I been here 3 times in the last month. I love Heidi. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. My favorites are the chicken lo mein, Szechuan beef, fried rice, and crab rangoon. You won't be disappointed.
Excellent! Great food and super nice people at a cozy restaurant!
Best Chinese food restaurant. Heidi was great!
This is some of the best Chinese I've eaten! Forget the bad reviews, more then likely they are mistaking this restaurant for another that delivers (or being super rude). The woman at the front was a character in the best possible way, thay can only enhance your dining experience. We had Mongolian Pork and Chicken Curry which were fabulous!
Ordered house special soup. It was a giant container of lobster sauce no veg or any thing gave me a stomach ache. I eat house special soup almost every Chinese take out and never had been given anything like this. Usually house special soup contains mixed veg and mixed meat. Variation between places is usually noodleor wonton or no noodle or wonton. Looked like snot tasted not good. I'll be looking someplace else. Do not order this if you usually do order House Special Soup.
We have always enjoyed this place. Sometimes the waiters/waitresses are a little to chatty but the food is always good.
The best one is in west monroe,i stop in when i have time ive seen it get passed down from father to kid 3 times now it was started by a old man when i was little and now his grand kid gas it
Great for takeout. Staff is very friendly
Love the good and the service!!!
I love this place Ive been going since i was a child . Its the best Chinese food in Kansas City.
Excellent flavor!
Yet another place with awful customer service. I called on two separate occasions (over a month apart) to place an order for delivery. Both times, they told me that they cannot deliver to a location at the school. Today, they same guy told me that he cannot deliver, then hung up on me. What is up with Laramie Chinese food?
May be closing soon, which is a shame. The vibe is outdone by the great, freshly-prepped food. At a price much less than comparable places...
This has been a pregnancy craving of mine! Awsome food. BUT BEWARE, they throw out random prices. Lady wanted to charge me $16 for a side of orange chicken and a side of lo mein. I said that's ridiculous. Her final price was $11 but also got small rangoon. Still pricey. But when I have a craving, what's a girl gonna do.
Awesome chicken wings. The food dried my ass out though. Two thumbs up.
I love this place! They make the best crab rangoons! The couple that own it are super attentive work hard at what they do!
Friday night buffet!
Love the food. Plenty to choose from even for those who don't like Chinese food. The people here are very friendly.
They BEST I've had for along time!! Truckers go get you some they are very fast on take out!!
Very good food, nice people
Took my grandkids there. They loved it. Nice staff.
Good selection of Chinese items as well as noodles and. Mexican. Sushi a little odd (deep fried) but tasty. Price for buffet reasonable.
Super friendly service and great always mafe fresh food!
Best Hot and Sour soup I have had anywhere. Good atmosphere. Friendly service.
Delivery was fast, and ordering take out was also very quick. Small dining area on site. Food was good, very generously portioned. Both times the container was full to the brim. The spice level and amount of sauce on the kung pao chicken has been a little inconsistent but it's not a real problem. I'll definitely be back again.
WGreat place!! Ask for Adrian, he is the best waiter!!
Food was good but place was dirty and run down
LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!! I always order takeout and food is always HOT AND FRESH!!!! Always greeted with a smile by Holly she amazing!!!! Recommend to anyone!!! Always remember to TIP even if its a carryout order it the right thing to do!!!! Just because its carryout doesn't you shouldn't do it!!!
Our favorite Chinese place by far. Crab Rangoon is phenomenal with the pink sauce. My favorite is the fried rice and it never disappoints. The lady who works here knows our orders when we walk in. Anyone who complains about service this lady is from Asia and does her best. You get what you put into your service!
I love this place!
Food was served fast and delicious. Atmosphere/ambiance could use work. It was FREEZING in the dining area!!!! I had to eat with my coat on and I was tempted to keep my gloves on as well!!
Quick service and affordable prices! I love getting takeout from here.
Food was so over cooked you couldn't eat it. Not happy and WONT be back!
Ordered delivery to the hotel I was staying at lemme just say this , food arrived faster than estimated , the dumplings were incredible! The Crab Rangoon was amazing , also ordered the House lo mein and asked for it to be spicy and it was insanely good I’ll probably regret it tomorrow but I will definitely order again on staying in the area thank you guys for an amazing experience!
I just moved to the area and wanted to try this out. I ordered through Doordash and it was amazing! The food was piping hot, delicious, and great portion size. I will DEFINITELY be ordering from here again.
Shrimp fried rice was greasy greasy, crab Rangoon were stringy..never seen that before. Not sure which was worse, the front counter lady or the food. This was my first and last visit.
Food is good but definitely does not taste like Chinese food LOL. It has a different taste to it I can't describe it it's not bad it's just different. Maybe it is what Chinese food posed to taste like and I just want standard take out. I got the beef and string beans like I said it tastes different but was pretty good. Not crazy big portions but again not bad it's not my first choice but not my last looking for your cliche carryout this isn't the place but if you're looking for decent carry out with a little bit of twist try it out
The staff was very friendly and our waiter was awsome. The food was wonderful like always. I love this place!
The food portions are great. I was able to have meals in my truck for most of the week. Customer service was amazing. She remembered me for my previous visit and knew why I had a large order to go.
I wish there was a no star option. Couldnt eat anything. Old reheated food. Was there about 5 min headed to the checkout the guy says to me " you didnt like" I said no. He says that will be 11.25. Dont waste time or mo wy here
There's a good choice of foods to choose from and the service was good..
Great food, and the older lady who runs it is very polite and helpful, almost too much but we'll intended.
Great food and great service
Came here to write a review but as I can see the word is already out that your food and customer service is trash. You have reminded me to never eat at a restaurant that doesn't have enough confidence in it's own product to not have a no exchange or refund policy. If your food wasn't trash you wouldnt need one, I may be just one former customer but keep treating people like this and you wont have to worry about having a crapy business.
I got the buffet to go. It was only $7.25, for a good sized container. There will be an extra charge if your to go container can not be completely closed. In my opinion the box is plenty large enough to hold a good ammount of food. The one down side for the to go buffet is that it does not come with a drink like the dine-in buffet. The food itself was a standard selection of (Americanized) Chinese food, two soup selections, and a few condiments. It was a little on the greasy side, but overall really good for the price. The service was polite and professional.
The food was fine, not delicious. The portions of food were generous and the staff were timely and respectful. The location is easy to get to and parking is easily accessible. My take out meal was ready ing 10 minutes.
Really good food that was brought out quickly. Service was nice and the atmosphere was quiet.
Great service and great food
Make sure you have time when going here. It's a one woman show, but she does her best to keep wait times down. The food is always delicious and hot!
Excellent food!!! Very friendly staff and fast service. I always enjoy the experience and food at this lovely restaurant.
Nice Buffett with plenty to choose from.
Food and service were amazing. Renee was best waitress ever!
Delicious food!
I loved this place for many years... Whole staff. Is great
Sweet and sour egg fu yung? No flavor...not satisfied with the order. $40 donation down the toilet..cya.
Good
I love the food here! Takeout is always quick and the food is hot, fresh and delicious. Peking Chinese is great for the price and it's always nice catching up with Heidi up front. If you live in the Midtown or Westport area I absolutely recommend this place. The hot and sour soup and the chicken fried rice are both fantastic!
Terrible waiter. Very rude.
The food is not bad, but the service with a smile is non existent. I've ordered from them a number of times over the past year because I liked their lo mein, but have ran into too much attitude lately and can no longer recommend them, I ordered a lunch special to go once; which comes with a soup and an egg roll. After delivery person left, I noticed that the lunch special was not special at all - no soup, no egg roll. I called back and the lady was sooooo rude. She asked if I mentioned what kind of soup i wanted. I wasnt sure, but told her that it is their responsibility to ask ME what kind of soup and not assume that I would pay for a lunch special and be ok with not receiveing the egg roll nor the soup. I just dont give away money, lady. I asked if she'd come back with what I ordered. Then the rudeness continued as she blamed me for the mess up. Sorry lady its on you to ask what kind of soup I'd like and not withhold parts of the meal I paid for. This was the last straw. If you want decent chinese food with a whole lot of attitude then this is the place for you. But for me, I have power in where I spend my money and I'm not going to finance another lexxus (sits outside restaurant) for you when you are nothing but rude to your customers.
The owner was super nice and their food was really tasty. My husband is on a strict diet and they accommodated us without any problems. He had a chicken and vegetable dish and I had lo mein. Really yummy!
The food was good and so was the service. The price was ok, a little more than I expected in Wyoming but, still, ok.
Truly one of the best chinese reasturant I have had in Kansas City. Everthing was superb from the egg drop soup to the crab rangoon with real cheese (quite the experience). The mongolian beef was so tender and out of this world. Each dish was made one by one and I can say it was truly exceptional. Shout out to Heidi and her husband for the wonderful service.
I had been here awhile back and didn’t like it too much but I can back and wow have they fixed it up! Much cleaner than last time and it has a nice atmosphere now too! I got the Mapo tofu to go and it was ready in 15min. I believe one man runs the whole thing himself and I am very impressed. Cheapest Chinese in town and good too!
My favorite Chinese food in the city. Fantastic honest service. Crab Rangoon are best I've had. Food is quality every time.
All around nice and good food
Food was tasty, But a bit greasy, prices are typical, give it a try.
Always a good place to eat. Very friendly service. Hot and sour soup=cure for the common cold
Wonderful prices. Great food. Staff is friendly. Decor is homey, comfortable and nice to look at....we have found our go to Chinese restaurant.
Worst food and experience ever for Chinese buffet! There was no food in the buffet at 12:30..it wasn’t very busy, but he just told us to wait. We had to just eat rice and watermelon. The cakes were hard as a rock. The food continues to not be filled in any manner. The food was bad, the staff wasn’t that accommodating either. Will never return. Came from out of town and a lesson learned!
Food was only ok. Service was horrible...prices were high. We were the only customers in the restaurant at dinner hour. Now we know why. We won't be back.
Today is Christmas, I told my family to eat these flavors in this restaurant they server good and the food is delicious ,the restaurants is very busy
They're getting more expensive as they go not happy
Food wasn't good and I couldn't tell what most of it was supposed to be on the, buffet. Not much lunch business and the buffet didn't get touched the 40 minutes we were there.
Foods good. Price is right. What more do you want?
The service was awkward and the food mediocre. I ordered the chicken lo mein in the lunch special which all dishes include rice and a crab ragon, however that is not the case with the lo mein dish...not sure why that is? Anyway, the place was empty which made me second guess my suggestion to eat there but my bf really wanted Chinese food. Food service was fast, but quality of the service and food weren't anything special or good for that matter. The old lady working seemed rude and cold at first and I think she picked up that I wanted to leave so she changed her tune a bit and was chatty and trying to hold conversation. Anyway don't recommend this place not even for take out. Try the Vietnamese place next door. That's better food.
This is sub-par food in my opinion. Locals love it, but that's probably because we don't have many other choices.
Usually this place doesn't ever steer me wrong but the last time I went, yhe one in west monroe the food wasnt fresh, had weird different taste even the lettuce looked alot brown
Great food
Great Chinese Food , Why pay the high price of the Club prices on Camp Atterbury when you can 3X more plus delivery to your Barracks or room . Just know your building number when placing orders .
My daughter's favorite Chinese restaurant.
Ordered delivery to have dinner with some friends . We all enjoyed the food, not too greasy, it arrived hot and the price was not too high. The peking duck we ordered was amazing, egg rolls were pretty amazing too.”
Great every time we call !
Great Food! Very consistent. I am currently on crutches and they were very accommodating the lady took my order while sitting down and even walked the food to the car for me and grabbed my soda once it was done. Plus their lunch special are super cheap!!!
Good service, clean, nice environment!
Mongolian chicken was good. Also orderex mushu vegetables. Good thing they had some vegetarian options too. Overall i will come back.
Accidently found this place one night when they were closing their doors for the day. Heidi came running out and invited my sister and I in to place a take out order. This has become my favorite chinese restaurant and I have not been anywhere for Chinese food since. The food is awesome. Fresh produce and great flavors in every dish I have tried. The crab ragoons are phenomenal as well as the veggie rolls. Every single visit has been an absolute pleasure thanks to Heidi. I love this place and it is definitely worth the 40min drive.
Amazing food amazing service amazing owner! I come here every time I am in town
Good little home owned. Food was ok.
Food ot good. Price way to high for quality of food. Place isn't clean. Some foods tasted spoiled.
The best Chinese food places are the ones that have 3 to 4 tables. No frills no bull just good food.
Called to place a delivery to this restaurant askedvif they had specials and the chick said no and hung up on me. I called back to speak with a manager and the lady flat out said no and hung up again. I think I wont ever be ordering from this place. The bad thing is I order out ALOT so they just lost a bunch of money from me and all of my friends
Very small but food is good
Good service and great food.
Food not nearly as good as in the past, it varies from visit to visit. It also depends on which Branch you visit in Monroe or West Monroe. Sometimes the bar is not hot enough to keep the food warm. We all usually get the buffet because usually one of our favorite dishes or on there it's cheaper than ordering the menu.In past years that used to be consistently good but has slipped in quality over the past few years. Ironically enough there seems to be a lot of Mexican workers in the Chinese restaurant kitchen it used to be almost completely run the Chinese workers so I don't think they can prepare the dishes as well. I'm 55 and haven't been there since I was college so I was probably about 19 so I've seen it at its best oh, and now probably at I wouldn't say it's lowest but compared to I guess getting there.
It was good crab Rangoon was AMAZING egg rolls were not that great and neither was the egg drop soup the service was good to i highly recommend this place I will be visiting again
I LOVE Peking !!! By far my favorite !!
Very good mmm
Customer service is not so great I asked if they delivered and the lady said " naw " in a rude way.
Food was nasty and soggy never ordering from here again we instantly threw the food away what a waste of 41 dollars
Buffet with reasonable price
It was fresh, it was very delicious!
the food is delicious and the service was great, I recommend to at least give them a try you will become a faithful customer.
If you want good, fresh, hot Chinese food ...come here! I personally loved the lady serving us - They know they have great food. Advise: For a good experience here - just go with the culture/atmosphere .... If you can't handle it - go to PF Changs or BoLing's or something. I'd rather eat here. (The bad reviews are probably correct - I can totally see her kicking someone out... lol...She might even chase you down the street...!)
We had crab rangoon, egg drop soup, and general tsaos chicken, EVERYTHING WAS WONDERFUL! The hot mustard is SO GOOD and the sauce on the chicken is AMAZING, we will definitely be back
They’re quick preparing the food and the food is good.
Tasty foods. Great service.
Beef Lo-main had no taste Crab Ra-goons were flat with very little filling Restaurant was run down Will not go back!
The food is ok the online menu is outdated and the place is dirty you better take to go
There food was delicious and their service was excellent
Great food and nice people.
Better off eating anywhere else
No me gusto para nada muy mal servicio de Buffett
The best General Tso's I've had anywhere. Food is always good. Very nice workers. Buffet is great as well.
You get zero stars from me. The manager is rude and racist and he does not like black females. The shrimp egg foo young my coworker ordered was nasty and disgusting and she could not exchange or get a refund. Customers has complained about same dish being nasty as well. I will never order from this place again. Telling my coworker “ Black girls always want a refund” is unacceptable.
The food is always fresh, and always hot from the buffet. We go once month and take the Grandkids, they love it....
Good takeout! Below James was correct in saying that the customer service is a different style. At first the woman who helped me seemed like she was being very short with me but after I placed my order she asked me a few questions to make sure I got my food just the way I wanted and then made sure I would know how to find the place and even gave me a free drink. She was very kind. Also I'm not sure but it seemed like there was something a little different with the egg drop soup (I think they put a little garlic in it) but it was amazing, just gave it that little something extra!
The first time I ordered from Peking I had shrimp egg foo young. It was so nasty that I had to throw it away and I hate throwing food away. I tired to eat it. So I was wondering if maybe that was a fluke and I decided to order again...bad mistake. The broccoli and shrimp was disgusting. It made my mouth feel numb and it tasted like they dumped a bunch of soy sauce in it. The shrimp toast was tough. How do you make shrimp toast tough? Needless to say that will be my last time ordering from them. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice you wont get a third.
Food was excellent. Everything was homemade, wonderful flavors. Ten dollars for a buffet of this quality is a bargain!
Food was amazing and service was quick. Not the cleanest place on the inside but I didn't have any problems with prices like some people. Went in late at night with only one person serving and cooking and he was wonderful. Would recommend to anyone who wants good chinese.
Great food
I didn't think there was good Chinese in Columbia until we ordered here. The lo mein noodles taste home made and my toddler scarfed three bowls (very picky eater), my beef & broccoli was delicious, the broccoli tasted fresh, and both the egg drop and wonton soups were delicious. We ordered for delivery and though we were estimated 45min on a Saturday night it arrived in less than 20min. Prices also undercut competitors. How have I lived here 5 years and not known about this place?!?
Excellent portions of food fresh food fresh produce this place is amazing
Very clean and friendly!
Great
You got a lot of selection BUT it is best to be among the first to get it. I've seen ppl cough in their hand then grab a piece of tso and leave. But the food gets you full.
I've been going there for a long time. I really like the place. Good food, good service ,and good prices.
A decent Chinese restaurant.
This place is great. The crab Rangoon is delicious, and made in house. I can't get enough of the Empress Chicken.
Great food and service
It's a generally good restruant, perfect for a nice family outing, or a collage student that is finally burnt out on ramen noodles, and now prefers lo mein.
The lunch buffet is below average.....BUT ordering fresh from the menu is EXCELLENT!!!! I've tried several chicken dishes and lo mein and ALL were good!!!
Been eating here since 1976 and now my kids eat there. Actually my son is headed there now to pick up for for us and his son. With my parents also eating there we have 4 generations of Peking Chinese Restaurant patrons.
Yep good
Ordered chicken moo shu, worst mistake ever made. Undercooked, and the manger was extremely rude to my wife when she pointed it out. He actually told us to leave Laramie and much worse.
Food dried out . Been left out for awhile
People there are not friendly.
A little hole in the wall but I loved it. It was like being at my grandma's house she did everything for us and even gave us drinks to go. Food tasted awesome as well.
Really enjoyed the szechuan delight
Bad food. Don't know why we thought it would be good. Will never make this mistake again.
The food was good. We we arrived the place was packed - a good sign of good food or a good sign of slow service? A little of both.
went to the lunch buffet 5/30/19. went to get a drink first and couldn't find single clean glass. buffet itself had only dishes that were picked through, and after putting some samples on a plate were also room temperature. did not eat the food so I can not comment on taste.
Most of our order was inedible. Over cooked fried foods, under cooked vegetables. Dirty restaurant. The chef was lying down behind the counter face timing.
Best green beans ever!
Me and my family love to eat at Peking Chinese Restaurant.
Great food a little over priced but made fresh when i ordered
Good food, good portions and awesome price
Heidi is the sweetest woman ever!
My favorite tofu Chinese place in Westport.
Decent food
I drive long haul. Whenever I come up here I always stop in. The best people you'll ever meet! Very hard working , and love their cooking. Also always accommodating when I need an extra bowl or wrap so I can put left overs in my fridge. Definitely recommend!!!
Good buffet -not great!
Really great food and friendly atmosphere, good service with smiles, frog legs, jambalaya, touch of Louisiana here yall..
Buffet luke warm, food was tasty
Adrienne is the best server
Great food!! Their prices are good as well.
Great food.
Awful food. Not a single thing on the lunch buffet was even close to "okay".
Waiter was friendly and food tasted fresh.
Absolutely wonderful service and the best shrimp lo mein I've ever had the pleasure of eating!
Well the people were really nice but their food was not good. It was edible cause i was hungry and i don’t like to waste food.....
The one time we ate in the building the service was very slow, but the food is always good! We always order out when we go here now, the food is good and always ready fast and on time.
Service as well as food was great as always...
Wow! My food was excellent, twice as much as I needed and the hospitality was wonderful. Family ran business. And their children are excellent host. The kind of children that you immediately fall in love with!!
This place is amazing! I can't believe I'd never been before today. I had the best Chicken Lo Mein in my life! House made noodles and the chicken was not boiled like many places. My friend got General Tso Pork which was a unique and delicious choice. We could tell the owners have great pride in their work. There was not a speck of dust to be seen! The owner is no nonsense, which we loved! If you are a decent, nice, good tipping person they will treat you like royalty. Seriously, Heidi was so kind and accommodating. I cannot wait to go back!
Great little Chinese restaurant operated by a lovely old Chinese woman. A bit hard to see as you drive down Broadway, but it's right across from the Uptown theater. The food cannot be beat for the under $10 price range of Chinese food. The general tso's chicken was hot and fresh, and real white meat, not some mystery meat. The hot and sour soup was piping hot and delicious. The curry chicken was very good too. I ordered take out but the restaurant had a very cute little Chinese atmosphere. Servings were not enormous but definitely filling and probably enough for 1.5 people. Will definitely go back and recommend for affordable Chinese food.
Dude, I had an amazing experience here. It's pretty inexpensive and I talked to the nicest little old lady. She even let me practice my Chinese with her and taught me some new words. To top it all off, the food came quickly and tasted great (coming from someone who eats Asian cuisine all over KC).
Very good food and prices
Won't give you any sauces unless you pay but good food
They have everything you'd want for Chinese food. Respectable people. Also delivers only to camp Atterbury.
My favorite place..yum yum
One of my favorite places !
Nice place to eat
Not busy and took a while to be seated. The servers are amazing though.
Best Chinese food in midtown
Food was not that great but staff was mostly nice shout out to alex good service man
It was just as bad this time as it is every time. Did not dissapoint me at all bc i knew what to expect. Horrible food.
Food was great. Place was quiet. Staff was friendly.
O.m.f.g. it is literally the best chi ese food I've ever had in the state of Maine. Actually I shouldn't like. I actually love the far East restaurant in Mexico me. But this is the next best thing and much closer. Seriously amazing portions, and I've paid much more for less. Very happy with the quality. Not too greasy, and they def care about customer service.
Its my favorite Chinese restaraunt buffet in town! Not much selection but the taste makes up for it!
I grew up in a small town with amazing Chinese food and I have been searching for a replacement in every city I've lived in since moving. I've never found something as good or better until Peking. The food is great, the prices are unbeatable, the atmosphere is fun, and my boyfriend and I love the lady who serves people.
I ordered last night (Kung Pao Beef and Egg Drop Soup). The soup was *great*, but the beef dish was *god-awful*. What should've been a deliciously spicy, thick sauce was a watery, barely flavored liquid. Plus, I counted and there were literally only 4 tiny, quarter-sized pieces of beef. There was so much celery, it should've been called "Kung Pao Celery." Definitely regret ordering that one.
Very tasty food and rice!!!
This place is a one of a kind. Heidi is very upfront and to the point and that's what I love about this place. The food is great and I feel very appreciated as a customer!
Always good service here
Beautiful.
Awesome
DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!! The owner is a racist!! My co worker wanted a refund for her subpar Chinese food and the owner called the police. The owner said that "it's always the black people that want a refund". This is unacceptable this day and age. Not to mention the food sucks. Please make sure not to support racism and stay away from this place!!!!
Absolutely favorite place in town to eat. My kids love going to Peking. All around great place to eat.
The food was cold and not fresh. It was as if they had not changed the cooki oil in weeks. Don't do it!!!
Really good service. Woman at counter was beyond excellent food was great and fresh prices were very reasonable. Definitely will eat here again.
Stopped in to eat, and the lady threw us out because we didn't order enough food ($5 each) we actually ordered$13 total for two, but she asked us to leave. Ridiculous
Excellent food! The egg rolls here are the best I've had in a long time.
Hands down the best Mongolian Beef in the city. The lunch plate is affordable if you go in for a lunch special (Mine clocked in at $6). Be prepared to talk quick and listen fast as Heide runs the whole floor on her own. A few things to keep in mind: Heide requires you to pay before you use the bathroom because she's across the street from the Uptown Theatre; given her location this practice isn't that absurd. Ice water is unavailable so you need to pony up $0.59 for a bottle of water. If you don't like conversation with the owner / server then ask Heide for some space and you'll get it. This woman means - and knows - business. Hasn't been around for nearly 30 years for no reason. Come try the food and you'll rapidly understand why. Shei Shei for the fantastic meal!
Terrible
Food is absolutely horrible and rude service all of are food taste like they reheated are food 87 times before selling it to us never again!
The crab ran goon was very good and so was the won ton soup, but the main dishes were nothing spectacular. The waitress was friendly but seemed rushed which was weird because we were the only people in the whole restaurant aside from a few people coming in for take-out. I'd eat here again, but I wouldn't expect anything amazing aside from the appetizers.
Peking used to be the best Chinese buffet in town but lately the quality has gone down but yet their prices continue to rise. My son and I ate there and for two buffets with drinks and a normal tip it was $30 which the food simply isn't worth.
I love this place. Its close to my job which is cool!! The owner is Heidi is an amazing woman! The food is amazing.. Also Wi people means, 5 people
Buffet did not look too promising, but ordered from menu and was very pleased with quality and price. Service was friendly and helpful. Nice hometown atmosphere.
Awesome food. Nice people. I love it!
Cream cheese wontons nasty old and dry without flavor. Sweet & sour shrimp so dryed out and overcooked weren't edible. Gen so been curd was greasy and very bland. My husband had the wings only good thing that they served us. Shrimp toast was almost testing rotten. Stay okay from ordering here. No pride in anything they put out.
I live in Phoenix, but I'm from Kansas city, this is a fabulous restaurant. When I go back to KC, I always go to eat here. Then when I'm ready to fly back I get 2 big bags of food to take back to PHX. Heidi is always a joy to sit and talk with. And she even know when I'm calling and knows what I want to order. If you're good with Heidi, she's extra good with you, if you request something different, or giving a little extra of whatever. Thanks Peking for being my hometown favorite.
Restaurant owner prefers not to seeve African Americans. And will use profanity if you complain about badly prepared dish. Not worth visting.
Me and the wife are picky about chinese food and they were great. Not a place if ur going out to dinner... dinning area to small.. but for take out..... best in LA
One of the best in town!!!
I like the buffet it makes is easy to get in and out id you're in a hurry
Spring rolls, hot tea, with beef & mushrooms were like familiar comfort food
RUDEST PERSON ANSWERING THE PHONE! (male) Couldn't say anything about the food because I never even got the chance to order, Apparently asking a few questions about their menu is way out of line. The owners of this restaurant should be more careful with the people they hire because right now they are just losing money due to poor customer service. WILL NEVER EVER TRY THIS PLACE NOW!
This restaurant is a gem. A true treasure of Kansas City. I've been coming here for the best Chinese food I've ever had for over a year, and I've loved every experience. I do mean experience! Here are the hard facts about this establishment. 1. The food is the best Chinese food you will ever taste. Everything is fresh and created with skill and care. The flavor blends amazingly, the food is fulfilling and unlike the deep fried Chinese food I grew up on - you are full and don't feel gross afterwords. 2. The vibe is straight out of a Wes Anderson film. Everything is adorable and the vibes are amazing. A little dated, but that makes the place charming. It is exceptionally clean and well maintained. 3. The only bad review you will read is about the service. To that I say "Get real". There is a slight language barrier, but the owners are fantastic, kind people. Any confusion should be overshadowed by their exceptional service, outstanding value of food, perfect taste and the awesomeness of this place. I would venture to say that anyone who has had a bad experience here probably has a bad experience most places they go. Kindness needs to be given to be received. This is an amazing and original experience from start to finish. Come for exceptional Chinese food, enjoy the atmosphere/owners and fall in love with Peeking House! Best ever!!! I wish I could give more stars!
Great selection and great price on the buffett.
This lady is a liar. She said the egg foo young was over 10 dollars and I told her that I wanted it but she told me to order shrimp fried rice. I refused because I determine what I can not afford. Forget about this place she is obviously trying to save face now. What hungry customer walks out if you were going to let me get what I asked for? Never again
Always take great care of me!
The Combination Fried Rice was fantastic, great tasting food and great value as well.
Felt very discriminated against. Was told I had to pay for my food before actually receiving my food, despite the fact that my friend and I were dining in. Noticed the two other tables dining in, both having white customers, were given their checks after the completion of their meal. I will never go back, and advise other African-Americans to think twice before going here as well. I didn't speak up immediately, though I should have. I hope this review strikes a cord with whoever works here. And encourages other blacks to learn from my mistake, be bold and speak up for their rights.
It is nice
Great food and service. The steamed dumplings were excellent!!
Reasonable priced. Very good food!
Had a good time
Friendly service buffet style good food and true southern atmosphere
Was stopping by (from Mississippi) ate here twice and was good both visits.
So nice
Worst Chinese I’ve had in Maryland, they just threw in salt, salt , salt , rice, salt, onions, salt, peas, salt , chicken, salt, beef, salt , salt , shrimp , salt , salt and SALT!!! Why?!
Good chinese.
The food was very tasty, but i didn't like the customer service
Decent food, great service, but they don't have sesame chicken. So sad.
I love that the food is prepared fresh! This is my second time dining at this restaurant and it was just as pleasant as my first visit. I like that the hostess ask me what my name is, and initiated a conversation, very cozy feel. They definitely have a repeat customer.
Great service, the lady is funny and hard working.
Bad place..very very bad place.
Always Great Service and Good Food...
I love Peking. Its so good. Even my kids love it!
Very minimal buffet. Dried up with little meat.
Food was absolutely amazing. Portions were perfect. Wait time was minimal. The one lady was very eccentric and polite. Will absolutely come again whenever we get the chance. You can tell they've been doing this a long time, and they've perfected their set.
Food is ok
The rice could use a bit more water but the food tastes pretty good. The service is also nice. It's a small restaurant with limited seating though - once there was a party of about 8 at lunchtime and they seemed to fill up the whole dining area once the tables were moved around.
Either a Chinese restaurant is good, or not. NOT!!!
Wonderful food wish I could eat there every day .. You need to stop by and have some .. It's wonderful and great price
I was disappointed that there was hardly any oriental food on the buffet. Most of the food was American and Mexican.
Love Peking's their food is absolutely wonderful
Very good food,and staff
I love the Sesame cracker candy if they make from scratch the buffet is really good he doesn't put much out at a time but because he does that is always hot and fresh. He also will cook a specialty dish if you request it. Fast and friendly.
There food is always good
I went there to eat during normal business hours, but they weren't open. The place looked closed down.
Not good at all and the host was a d bag
Food was very ordinary, blah. Other places in town that are cleaner, better tasting. Whole place just seems dirty and really outdated.
Food was AWESOME and the server was AWESOME as well
needs to be more clean and the food was 3/10
Exceptional food and service.
Buffet is always great
For being cooked fresh I'm not sure how it can taste so gross. Its been about an hour since eating and I'm still nauseous and regretting it. Go somewhere else please. The service is terrible also. Never checked on us to see if we needed refills. We were the only ones there for dinner. Should have been my first clue. It should be no stars but my kids did like there orange chicken. I tasted it and came to the conclusion my kids don't have taste buds.
My favorite place to eat.a little bit of everything and price is worth it
Not too bad for a quick lunch when wanting Chinese food. Small place in a stripmall/gas station. Does mostly take-out but has 3 or so small tables. I've had better and I've had worse.
Really went down hill with the new owners
There food was great!
I love chinese food and eat here regularly because it's convenient. I've never had a bad experience and the food is always really good!
Good food, fast service.
Never any food at 5he buffet
We stopped in Monroe for the night and had a taste for Chinese. I was happy to see all the traditional favorites you'd expect at a Chinese buffet, but I was blown away with the large selection of Southern comfort foods and Louisiana staples! Greens, cabbage, butterbeans, rotel chicken spaghetti, jambalaya, etoufee, and best of all, frog legs!! Unfortunately, my stomach wasn't as big as my eyes, and I couldn't sample it all. Good food for a good price. Excellent service as well. We'll be back!
I enjoyed my food and everyone was. Really nice
Food was delicious and the lady was one of the most friendly people i have ever met in my trucking travels little more pricey than say panda express but 100 times more authentic and flavorful. Most of it was even made to order
Wonderful atmosphere, sweet people and great food. Best egg drop soup!
Very delicious food. Wonderful owner and service. The best crab Rangoon we've had in KC. We will definitely come back.
Nice people and goodo services
I love this place and heidi is so nice to me she gives me a compliment every time I come here love her!!!!!
Bad!
We love this restaurant, this is my favorite Chinese food in town. The price is a deal for the amount of food you get, and it always delicious. Can't go wrong with lo mein, fried rice, and dumplings. We usually order carryout and are always pleasantly greeted and attended to promptly. I can tell these people care about getting you your order, and keeping customers happy. Fun tip, ask about her cuckoo clocks!
Love some Chinese food!
Long staple of the neighborhood. Cheap prices, quiet relaxed venue. Recommended as a nice neighborhood Chinese food where you can get reasonably priced, fresh food. Service has always been good when I've gone. There is a $10 minimum credit card purchase (else a .50 extra charge will be added). The restaurant also offers takeout as well.
Good Food
Certainly not the cleanest place but the food is fast and fresh and it's always good.
Not good food is very poor
Way better price and quality than New Peking or Chinese on the Plaza. Would definitely recommend. :-)
Great food. Great company.
Fresh and flavorful food. Awesome customer service. I love that the lady makes sure that you aren't trying to order from a similar named Chinese Restaurant. Just make sure to let her know that you know the restaurant is on Broadway.
Best Chinese in KC!
Today, come here to eat buffet it feels a lot of things are delicious like this store, like to eat Chinese friends have to try it
Place to get food before Babymetal
A lot of filling food to choose from.
I prefer this Peking to the Monroe location. Larger selection, generally better quality overall, and a cleaner, quieter dining experience
My favorite Chinese in KC. Heidi is amazing.
Enjoyed the large selection of foods and friendly staff.
LOVE this place! The portion sizes are very generous, the price is great and so is the service! Even though they don't deliver it is worth the drive to pickup!
Delivery was fast and the Crab Rangoon were hot, crisp and delicious. duck was delicious as well. I recommend for tasty, reasonable food.
What a treat if you're a truck driver! We ordered the Beef with broccoli and General Tso's chicken. Both meats were super tender and had great flavor. Crab Rangoon was so yummy and hot to order! They even surprised us with free chicken on a stick! It's located by Subway and a convenience store. Not much seating on the inside but does have 3 tables. Really sweet and friendly staff.
The Peking Chinese Restaurant, in West Monroe, in my opinion, is THE BEST Chinese Restaurant in the whole Northern Louisiana area.
Favorite chinese resturant great price wide variety
The food is terrible the people especially the manager was very rude , i didnt want money back all i wanted was shrimp egg roll the gave me beef i told them i do not eat beef can i change to shrimp instead of the manager coming to a solution with a firzt time customer he refused to help or resolve situation instead he added on by hollering and arguing with his customers, then on top of that the chicken was half done, and the shrimp fried rice was not seasoned, the rice was over cooked and they only gave us 4 shrimps in the order of shrimp fried rice this was my first time eating there and my last time ever ordering anything from Peking Chinese Restaurant on Oakland Mills in Columbia, Md I personally have a huge family and alot of friends and i wouldn't recommend this Chinese restaurant to my enemy
I am really surprised by these reviews. We must have gone at an awful time, because we had a horrible experience!! First off, you have to spend $5 per person to dine in. When my fiance and I ordered it was over $10, but she snapped at us saying we were not supposed to share meals. But "it was okay since it was our first time there" (whenever we get chinese, we always share chicken fried rice and crab rangoon). Secondly, we were the only people there, (not a big deal) but there was no music at all. The place was silent and incredibly awkward. The waitress was consistently rude, and huffed and puffed when my fiance asked for a glass of ice for his pop, (or anything else for that matter!) We continually said "please and thank you" despite her attitude, and she had no manners to reply with "you're welcome" once. The worst part of it was she literally sat in the corner and kept looking at us, and the second we were done eating she came to our table and took our plates while asking "all done?" Basically we were rushed out of there. She also overcharged us by about $3, but we were more concerned with getting the heck out. I would consider going back, but only to order take out. The food was okay, but we had no leftovers, and I could of had a bit more (We always have leftovers from any Chinese place). So unless you want a rude waitress to sit in a corner and give you creepy stares, stay away from dining in at this restaurant!
Food was disappointing. They're not always open during the posted hours.
Great place to eat! Very nice people who work there.
There's nothing like Peking and the love of my baby boy.
Peking is one of the best Chinese buffets I've ever been to. Nobody does sweet and sour sauce like them
Great food great service
This place is horrible and disgusting. I could literally see multiple bugs crawling across the floor. Food was cold. Service was horrible. Owners are very very rude. All I see is them replying to reviews and making up lies and excuses. I will be going to corporate about this. Unacceptable. Disgusting horrible owners.
Good food quick
We have been frequenting Peking since I was a little kid. Try the combination noodle soup. It's our favorite!
Although most of the menu is over priced, they have the most authentic best chicken chow mein with crispy noodles by far in town. I was a huge fan of their moo shu until my previous order was completely different than before. Which is unfortunate because it was fresh flavorful, but not anymore. I'll definitely order again, although their prices have sky rocketed. Everything, including the vegetable fried rice are just short of $10 an order, which in my opinion is ridiculous for what you receive. I grew up where an order was either a pint or a quart and peking average size runs less than a quart on most everything I've received. I hope they return to the higher quality as it was before, more flavorful sauce with vegetables that aren't comparable to soggy angel hair pasta..
The food here is top notch. Some of the best Chinese food in KC, everything is made fresh and authentic, plus, it's inexpensive and the portions are large. Miss Heidi runs the dining room and takes orders, she's great to have a conversation with if you dine in. The dining room is totally vintage. I think it's beautiful, though it could use a little dusting to really bring it back to life. Don't have time to sit and eat? They also offer fast takeout.
Place was weird from the moment we walked in. Portions where disappointing and flavor of food was meh
I am a home body and love to get buffet to go and veg out with my date and mop goo guy pan. Delicious!
Great food and service although we came in 30 before close... definitely would visit again :)
My family liked the food here, but it was just a little bit dirty and the service was slow. I would eat here again. It was not very expensive either.
Salad as green as can be and bathroom a little dirty but excellent family weekend restaurant.
Great food and service
Didn't eat not a fan. My family ate and they all enjoyed it
Peking Chinese is cheaper than any other Chinese restaurant in the area. Yet it doesn't give up quality of traditional Chinese-American dishes. If commercialized Chinese is your thing (and there is nothing wrong with that...) this restaurant is not for you. It's a hole in the wall. It reminds me of a neighborhood Chinese restaurant. It's a little rough around the edges but makes up for it in price and food. Don't be turned off by the random signs she has in the front of of the store or that parking can be terrible. It's worth it.
Good food, great value.
1st time I ordered from here it was pretty good. 2nd time I said NEVER again. I ordered shrimp and broccoli. It was not cooked the broccoli was super hard and crunchy and I had to microwave it even then it really wasn't good. And the General tos chicken there was no broccoli at all in it. I ordered the same thing the first time and it was a complete night and day difference. But Chinese food out here in Columbia is really not good and over priced.
