This Restaurant is classified in the category of Thai restaurant.
Thai food can be so spicy. At My Thai you can select the level of spiciness. We also have a favorite waitress here which is nice because she remembers what we order.
Fast service, comfortable atmosphere. Always good food- smoked salmon sashimi is worth a try. Have been coming here for years; take out is good and plenty of room for groups dining-in.
Despite the two separate entrances, you can get sushi on the Thai restaurant side of the house. I had great quality service and delicious sushi. I also had the basil chicken, which had great flavor, but the chicken had quite a bit of gristle. Overall a great experience!
Great Food. Very friendly staff. Plenty of vegetarian options in the menu. Ambience was really food. Plenty of parking. Don't forget to try Thai Tea at this restaurant.
My Thai Cafe is one of my favorite restaurants on the Westside of Bloomington. The service is always great and the wait is never that long. Dine in or call ahead and pick up your order to go. Perfect for lunch or dinner.
Delicious food, great staff, cozy and pretty atmosphere. A unique menu selection that is all great. Ive never had a bad experience here. It is a bit pricey but the wait is never long and the food is always cooked to perfection. One of the best places in Bloomington and one of the only restaurants in this town that take so much pride in their product and care for their customer. Highly recommend!
This place is awesome, Sushi was very good , Thai coconut soup was divine, atmosphere peaceful.
Wonderful experience! Food was amazing
Picked up some carryout. The food was ready quickly ready and cost was in line with other restaurants in the area. The food was good. I would go back again.
Loved it, and I'm not one who usually likes this type of food, but it was delicious!! I recommend trying it!!
Drunken man fried rice rules the west side dining options!!!
This place has a great atmosphere and amazing staff. Plan on coming here many more times
Great Lunch stop. Great location. This is one of many "My Thai" restaurants in Bloomington, Indiana. The downtown location is the best but this one still has a lot to offer.
Our food was fair, our service was fair, and our experience was bad. We took our family of 7 to dinner here. We were not aware that the gratuity was included on the bill so we added 20% and rushed off to see a play. Upon reviewing our charges we realized that we had been charged a 40% tip! I immediately called the restaurant and the General Manager told me he would make an adjustment. I gave him my Credit Card information, but it never happened. After leaving multiple messages regarding the situation I have yet to hear back form anyone, and its been 4 months.
Beautiful staff! Amazing food! Couldn't do it better!
Love thier sushi, thier rolls and drunken man fried rice!
Tasty food. Pricing was fair. I opted for sushi but their Thai looked great too.
I've now gone to My Thai Cafe many times for both Lunch & Dinner: Always a wonderful experience with food, service, and value = it is the place you take those that "question" if they like Sushi: They will love it !
Wow wonderful food clean fresh doesn't look like much from the outside but the inside is tastefully done and service was really great wheel chair accessible clean restrooms. All around great dining experience
Love the drunk man's fried rice but lately it has not been the best. This time the veggies were not cooked. Hoping next time it will be better!
The staff is awesome as well as the food. I came in 15 minutes till close to see about getting some to go if it wasn’t too late and the kitchen was mostly closed down but I wanted som Tom kha soup and they went ahead and took 15 minutes to make it for me. Of course I had to get a Thai iced tea and the manager that was working tonight even gave me a 2nd one on the house. They were all very gracious and the soup was excellent and fresh
This place is great. if you like Thai food you gotta give this one a try
Probably the best Thai restaurant in Bloomington. Fried dishes(rices and noodles) are almost the same tastes. Nothing really sophisticate. Recommendations: Fresh Roles(the ones with shrimp): I really like the sauce. Tom Yum Goong Noodles with shrimp(Try Hot): Very Good broth. The sour bean in the broth is also really good.
This is where I fell in love with Thai food. I cannot get enough of the Panang curry chicken! I'm not from the area but this is the place I go almost exclusively when I visit Bloomington. The atmosphere is relaxed, food is outstanding, prices are in line with portions, and the service is excellent. Highly recommended!
We eat at all their locations regularly. Love the food, typically good service too.
We can't stop going back! Crab Rangoon is top notch!
Great food... Never got checked on and had to ask for to go boxes and my bill after playing on my phone for ten minutes.
Best sushi I have ever eaten.
Fantastic Everytime
Amazing food
Good food and service.
Pad thai. Spicy chicken. Red curry. Drunken mans fried rice. Would recommend them all. All delicious!!
Yummy, basil shrimp rolls . Little different then I've had but very good!!
Excellent fresh flavor! Great rice noodles and flavor blend of curry and ginger. Chicken was a bit overcooked but still excellent
The food was good! We had a quick bite and it was delivered quickly. Great staff.
Great mealand great experience.
I was very impressed! The atmosphere and service were top-notch! However, the food was the highlight for my family and I. It was plated nicely, had fresh ingredients and tasted fantastic!
Good food. I believe my noodles needed a little more taste, I asked for a spicy souce on a side and with it the taste was better. The chicken satay was very good!
This place is surprisingly so good for being a small restaurant in commercial complex. I work on West side and often go here for lunch with coworkers. Their lunch menu is pretty decent for a great portion size. The service sometimes can take time especially busy hours. But the food and service is really good.
Very nice preparation, good ambience
Food is always great, but tonight I had a new waiter. He had pretty long nails. Kind of ruined the mood when I noticed his long nails on my plate. Just kind of grossed me out.
The best
The service was great and do was the jasime tea. The food was done well. I had the flat rice noodle similar to drunken man noodles elsewhere. The flavor was good but the noodles was not quite done, it was a little chewy. The heat factor was good as well. I would go again to try other preparations if I was in n the area. Those are my two cents.
Awesome food
The ambience is very nice and quiet. The food and service was very good, I would highly recommend the restaurant.
We enjoyed it very much
Love the mango tango roll
I'm not into sushi, I only liked the banshees. Seriously though, I had the orange chicken and it was pretty good.
It was ok. Decent eats.
Great food, and very friendly staff, great service.
This place is the jam. Seriously great food.
Delicious, colorful food with decent prices. We love the appetizers and the sushi options. Service is always fast and friendly. Interior can get a little cramped but is very nicely appointed.
We celebrated Grandpa's Birthday here. They were so nice here!
Good Thai food, lunch specials are fairly priced and quickly served
Best Thai in btown
Good food but you have to ask for extra chili sauce!
My favorite place to eat and work!! Best job I’ve ever had and I can’t stop myself from ordering food every time I work!
One of the best generic Thai restaurants I have visited. They have a great selection and the staff are very pleasant. The soup is very good as are the salads
Pepper steak is very good. Good soup Nice hot food and good teas.
Green curry is sooooo good. One of my favorite places for Thai food in Bloomington. Nice ambiance too!
Best Thai in the state! Wonderful fresh and abundant! The fresh spring rolls are so so good. The Pad Thai is the best
I've eaten at this restaurant several times. Food is really good! Atmosphere isn't bad, and friendly people too.
Quick, friendly service and great food. This is our go-to date night restaurant.
Excellent service and great tasting food
The food always consists of fresh, quality ingredients. The food couldn't possibly taste better than it always does. Definitely worth the price and the food is consistently exceeding expectations!
Nice place. Enjoyed the food.
They give you such huge sushi rolls and the food is amazing! Be careful if you don’t like spice might not be the place for you
Great sushi!!
Great food. Good service.
Over priced
Food is great. Sushi small but good. The main guy always looks angry. Most of the staff is great
Drunken Man's fried rice can't be beat!
Pricey for the portion size. California rolls were a bit bland.
Best around! Drunken man fried rice is out of this world!
Great place, good food and service
My sister and I are long-time foodies so we looked forward to trying the Thai restaurant I had heard good things about in Bloomington. The ambiance was pleasant and not overdone. The service was excellent and the restroom was sparkling clean. We ordered medium hot red curry and pad kee mow, both beef. Both of us thought the dishes were exceptionally tasty. My sister especially like the presentation. The dishes were so attractive, she said, and the vegetables were fresh and not overcooked. She has eated Thai food in DC, St Louis, Chicago, San Francisco, and Houston and this dinner was better than most. I especially liked the red curry for its flavor. We appreciated the generous portions and took home lunch for the next day! Worth the drive across town, for sure!
Consistently good service here at lunchtime (the only meal I've been here for). I usually get at least one sushi roll and they have all been tasty. They have solid lunch deals.
Consistently delicious food. No wait. Order was accurate and took a reasonable time to get to the table. You don't feel rushed to give up your table. Great place to talk.
Their Thai food is not very traditional but great for my taste! They recently added a sushi bar that is also good and now it is like having two restaurants in one!
Today my husband had lunch at My Thai cafe. We have eaten here at least seven times before. It is always good and service is usually good as well. We had an especially nice visit today and the waiter didn’t even know it was our anniversary. Very tasty, great service. We keep wanting to try new places when we are in Bloomington, but keep coming back here.
My new favorite restaurant! There is food for those who want to try something different along with those who don't want to stray out from what they usually get.
Always prompt service and excellent quality of food. If you're not sure what to eat, this is a good bet
always the best service and food
Great lunch prices, pretty good food (the cream cheese wontons were very good). The spice levels were a bit all over the place though, my mom's "thai hot" order was accurate, way too hot for me, but my just "hot" order was mild at best, I could barely taste the spice.
Green curry chicken is delicious
Always enjoy the service & the food is amazing!
Great food for this little hideaway.
Very good food, nice service, and fast!
Love the sushi and the Thai.
Great food and the sushi was awesome
Sushi was terrible. The place seemed nice & the guy helping me was nice, but the sushi was truly disgusting. I’ve had better from a grocery store
This is one of our regular spots! Service is quick, the food is excellent and it's always clean.
Great food and super fast service. If new to the restaurant I recommend the pad Thai chicken, the green curry, drunken man fried rice, or the spicy chicken. If you are on the fence on trying it, do yourself a favor and go!
Uncaring college staff waiting tables. Small. Cramped. Thom Kai was so-so. Beef and broccoli was bland. Pad Ke Mao and Panang Curry were good (curry was a little thick for my taste).
I love both the sushi and Thai food at this location. It’s a nice interior too, very relaxing. I like their Chirashi bowl and the larb. Very nice curries and soups.
The food tastes awesome, do try mango red curry...
I had the Green Curry and the Thai Basil Spring Roll as well as tastes of all my friends food and everything was delicious!
Great food
Edit: we were served a bug cooked into my friends Pad Thai. Done here. I love this place so hard. The food is wonderful, the California rolls are felony level good, and the service is always very friendly. This is a regular lunch spot for me. Its going to be sad to let it go. :(
second time eating here and both times the food was excellent! The menu is priced very well. everything is very affordable. good food, good prices, and okay service = I will be returning to eat here in the future!
Ok
Average food. Friendly service
Really darn good. Was my favorite Thai until I went to Sue's Thai kitchen in Salem. This is good, Sue's is just better.
Perfect every time!
Always great service n great food
yummy food and great atmosphere
Hands down the best Thai food in Bloomington.
This is by far one of my favorite restaurants in Bloomington. Their sushi and sashimi is amazing.
Yummy fresh and wholesome food!
While the decor was inconsistent and the service was seldom seen, the food was out of this world incredible; since this is the most important part of any meal, I highly recommend this restaurant for a casual dinner out. Relatively cheap, my date and I paid $38 for two meals, drinks, a dessert, and tip.
Very good thai food, I recommend number 19, pad ped.
Fabulous nigiri sushi - try the maguro and unagi - tasty soup and delicious stir fry! With a full menu, there is something for everyone. And yes, they do serve beer and wine! So glad we dined here on our road trip.
The lunch service was fast and delicious. I ordered ahead to pick up and was very satisfied!
Tastes good but not very authentic. There are better restaurants in town serving Thai.
Marilyn was my server and I had such a fun time! The pad kee mow was so good, I'm thinking about it 5 days later. Capitalism poisons everything it touches but I still feel like I didn't pay enough for that fire dish.
Soups here are excellent and many of the curry entrees as well. Sushi is adequate at best. It's a nice little restaurant, clean with reasonable if sometimes chaotic service. A good option and you should try it.
Best thia food in Bloomington. Sushi is above average.
I like this place a lot
Went to lunch here with some co-workers. Seating took a bit for it not being busy, but it wasn't a terribly long wait. Our orders were promptly taken by the nice waitress. Everything came out accurate. I got the lunch portion spicy chicken and it was absolutely fantastic. I got a 3 out of 4 on their spicy scale and it was not spicy at all really. It had a hint of red pepper spice to it, but nothing overly spicy. Chicken was cooked perfect and the rice was sticky (like I like it). Next time I'm in town, I'll try and stop by this place again. Very enjoyable and priced well.
The mao pad was delicious. Service was fast and nice. The lunch specials are hard to beat. I would recommend this to anyone, who likes Thai food. The setting inside the restaurant has a warm feeling to it. The tablecloths are classy it has a glass top. There are very few restaurants, that have this level of elegance in Bloomington. I love it here.
Everyone at my table enjoyed their meal. Extensive food menu but very few drink options.
Nice place. Pretty decor, good help. Food very respectable. Always a good time
Great food with a great value
Today was the 1st time the food was not right, rice for my sushi was overcooked to the point of bieng rice paste. We go here atleast 3 times a month and Always get good grub n service
We recently visited Bloomington on a college tour and our vegan teen picked My Thai Cafe to try after a cold day touring the campus. Will was our server. Excellent food and service! We started with the spring rolls (vegan) and Thai spring rolls (non-vegan fried)--yum! Vegan teen had kuih tiao lard nah with tofu and raved non-stop about it. Non-vegan teen had shrimp-fried rice--loved it! Husband had green curry fried rice with tofu and I had pad thai, both vegetarian. All was so good! Will patiently answered all our Bloomington questions and was friendly and efficient. We'll definitely come back if we find ourselves in Bloomington again.
Very good Thai food. Lovely stuff. Enjoyed there many of my lunch breaks. Will miss you guys
Our family loves this restaurant
Good lunch buffet.
great food!
Very good, especially the salmon panang. Limited options for kids though.
Food is great and portions are generous. Service was a bit slow, they were obviously understaffed, which almost earned them a 4 star review but giving them the benefit of the doubt
Wonderful find. Really good food and relaxed environment.
I have been going there for a few years and never had a bad experience. The food is tasty and the staff is wonderful! Great lunch specials and good price!
Good eats. Friendly staff. Nice atmosphere.
Consistently good food and attentive service.
I have loved the westside MyThai for years! My favorite is the masaman curry, not too spicy. Service is always prompt. Nice staff. Dinner prices are a little high, but the lunch special is a great deal.
One of my favorites! Dry noodle bowl is the best!
Was in town for a business trip and our hosts brought us here for lunch. Amazing food! Will be sure to stop here everytime I'm in Bloomington.
The service was great, servers attended to guests quickly and steadily and the food was searved quick and hot. Amazing resturaunt and will come again!!!
Great flavors! Love the heart shaped Jasmine rice. Quick service at lunch, and a fairly large menu.
The Pad Thai more closely resembles salty spaghetti than it does any kind of asian cuisine. I just ordered some and it arrived with virtually no vegetables whatsoever save a few pieces of fried onion, burnt bits of egg and a disappointingly small amount of peanuts as well. I sincerely hope that I caught this restaurant on a bad night, but I won't be returning to find out.
Love the food here. I come over for lunch every once in a while and never leave hungry. Sushi is great too!
Love this place. I always order the pad thai, medium spicy. The medium level of spice is equivalent to a mild plus at a spicier restaurant.
We were a party of 8 with 4 separate checks. So the waitress couldn't keep our orders straight. Didn't get the food that I ordered, but paid and since it was a larger party they pre added a 20% tip. There was hair in one of our friends food, so that was sent back. Food was decent but pricey for the portions.
Good food. Fast service.
Love the food. Good service and very clean
I love Thai food but my family doesn't always love it. This makes it difficult to convince them to go. My 9 year old son now requests this restaurant. It has the best Panang Curry in the area. My son likes the Shrimp Fried Rice. My Dad loves the Tom Ka Gai. The staff is very friendly and it has a lovely atmosphere.
The green curry is my absolute favorite!! My Thai is great for casual lunch or dinner, but would also be suitable for a special occasion. The service is always excellent, and the food is top notch!! It's in my top 5 favorite restaurants in Bloomington ❤
Great selection great appetizers and great service
I love this place, if you like indian food, you need to try DRUNKEN MAN FRIED RICE, PANAENG CURRY (most probably all curries).
Nice, clean, pretty restaurant, but the food was just kind of okay. EXCEPT FOR THE ROASTED DUCK IN THAI BASIL AND COCONUT MILK, it was INCREDIBLE!!! We had pad thai, appetizer sampler and sushi too but all was just kind of okay.
Best quality, service, and staff.
Appetizers were a little bland. My Fresh Thai Basil Roll was 90% lettuce and did not have much flavor. I would just skip the appetizers and order entrees only. Our entrees were both very good and we look forward to eating there again.
We drive from Greenwood down to Bloomington for this Pad Thai. Tastes amazing and the portions are great. The Thai spring rolls are really good...like, end up burning your mouth because you can't wait for them to cool down good. The menu is a little pricey but the quality makes it worth it.
Great thai n sushi
LOVE the Orange Tea!
The food is delicious, the price is reasonable, and the service was fast & friendly. And they're the only place in Bloomington I know of that offers softshell crab!
If you like Thai food this is a good place to get it. I will say that sometimes it's not seasoned as you requested but it still good food.
