Loved it
Excellent menu
Great food and location. Recommended for small or large groups.
Five star service, paired with a great wine selection and wide ranging menu of perfectly prepared entrees. Would definitely recommend.
Such a good meal, this is one of the best places I have been in recent memory. The service was amazing, the cocktails were strong and well mixed. The pork chop I had was a top 5 all time pork chop experience. They brine it, smoke it, then grill it to perfection and top it with an amazing bacon marmalade. They try and locally source as much as they can so the menu changes often. It's an upscale atmosphere so great for a date night or nice company meal.
Took a group of twelve here. Many of them were from other states so I wanted to show them someplace unique to Indianapolis. The food and service were equally outstanding. My guests continued to rave about it at our meeting the next day. I couldn't have been more pleased. The only downside was my wife's reaction when I told her where our group went to dinner. Now I have to schedule a return trip because I was able to go and she wasn't!
Always creative, ever-changing menu of delicious flavors, perfection. Truly a meal that is never less than an A+ experience. Great staff and atmosphere as well. Keep it up! I will definitely keep coming back! -Late Harvest fan
The family ordered everything on the menu and I cannot tell you with so many people all of us loved each dish. They truly cook the food very well. Plus, the staff is great. You need to try this place out. I wish we had more places like this around Indiana who know how to cook food and mix flavors right.
Interior decor 5/5 Wait staff 2.5/5 Looks of the food 4.5/5 Taste of food 2/5~bland Price for value: 2.5/5 P.S. a shareable side means it feeds 4 people. I had some good looking bland tasting fried oysters, ok porkbelly, and an oversized potato side.
Very creative and adventurous dishes. I had rabbit biscuits and gravy and it was delicious.
First class service and food. Had the filet minon which was prepared perfectly. Also had the calamari as an appetizer and veggies and potatoes side dishes. All of the dishes were seasoned and presented well. Our server was very attentive. Great experience and highly recommend!
Expensive and not good.
Excellent food and service. Meats (except seafood) sourced locally. Nice atmosphere.
We were invited to a wedding rehearsal dinner at the outside seating area. I have a son in a wheelchair and right from the start I could tell the staff was excellent! We were greeted to a open door and a smiling face from the front desk. As soon as we got outside there were two people taking drink orders and running back and forth from the bar. It was a beautiful outside seating area. The food and atmosphere were amazing. Our waiter even overheard my wife say to me she could use a steak knife for her wedge salad. 10 seconds later he placed one by her. If I didn't live 6 hrs away I would definitely make this one of my favorites!
Stopped here when I was in town checking some rentals of mine. Really enjoyed the atmosphere and of course loved the food!
Excellent food, while not the cheapest you always know you're going to get a good meal here. Limited bottled beer selection but some good choices and the whiskey list is solid.
Super friendly staff with outstanding flavor combinations! Highly recommend!
Amazing food and service! Great for occasions
Great food and atmostphere!
This is one of my favorites. The menu is not humongous and neither is the wine list, but what they do, they do really well. There is some rotation of the menu items through the seasons of the year. I always and I mean always order the brussel sprout salad. It will change how you feel about brussel sprouts. the caviar pie is likewise a delight. The servers are knowledgeable and the service is always great. The somewhat smallest bar is staffed by experienced mixologists. And if you've never ordered a pork chop at a restaurant before, order it here. It is their specialty and I had gone six or seven times before I finally ordered it. And I have to agree it's the best pork chop I've ever had.
We are here for a convention and needed a place that could accommodate a gluten and corn allergy. I called Late Harvest two weeks prior to our visit and was assured by the manager that this would not be issue as each dish is made to order. Most of the dishes contained gluten or corn and all that could be found on the menu was a small salad and a piece of fish. That was fine, but I was charged the price of a full meal for one small piece of fish. The manager assured me they would be able to accommodate the allergy. My hope is that they will pay more attention to these issues in the future.
Service and decor are great. I had this cold brussel spout salad. It was made from shredded brussel prouts and had sieved egg in it as well as some sort of hard cheese shavings. They get points on this because it was so unique. Had the pork cheeks. It was OK. Not bad. A bit salty. The other person in my party had the pork chop which I thought was much better. They had these bone marrow fries with Parmesan and jalapeno slices. This was crazy good. I mean really awesome. The signature pudding is so good too. Rich as heck though. But very decadent . Are you sure this is Indianapolis?
Honestly food is good. The prices for the quality is high also menu is not very seasonal for the price.
This is a lovely restaurant for a long meal but they think rather too highly of themselves. The food is good but it doesn't match expectations. It has a good ambiance but it can be quite loud at peak times. Worth a try but personally I could always think of somewhere better to go.
Really really good
If I could give this place more stars I definitely would. The service was was prompt and friendly, the food was amazing, and the setting was elegant yet intimate. By far my favorite restaurant experience in the Indianapolis area! As mentioned in other reviews, I would highly recommend the pork cheeks. I would have never ordered them, but my dinner partner did, and after trying them I now know the next time I go that is what I am choosing.
Wonderful...the chef and the wait staff are superb. We really enjoyed the cocktails, corvine, crabby fries, and the STICKY TOFFEE PUDDING!! If it's nice out-sit outside!!!
Local chef branches out with his own restaurant - great food!
Brilliant concept executed extremely well by attentive and knowledgeable staff and a kitchen/bar that knocks it out of the park.
Excellent service, good food.
Fabulous food, interesting menu and great service. Need I say more?
Excellent food and knowledgeable staff.
One of the best restaurants in Indy. The fried oysters, fish of the day, lamb dish, potato side dish, date pudding are just a few of our favorites. Everything was amazing.
Everything is phenomenal from dessert to the service!
My wife and I dined our first time for her birthday. The food and cocktails were exquisite. Our servers made sure our glasses were never empty. The service was phenomenal, catering to my vegetarian diet. Phil, you provided us with an exceptional evening. Thank you so very much! We will definitely be going back.
Cocktails are good a little overpriced. QuAlity seems high on the food. Would return
Patio dining was lovely.
Delicious.
Great food and service. Wonderful dessert!
Superb desserts like the incomparable sticky toffee pudding or phenomenal creme brulee should complement any of the amazing entrees. Try the rabbit and prepare to be astonished. Excellent wines and cocktails are features of Late Harvest Kitchen as well. Seasonal variety make the menu a regular surprise. For special occasions or occasional specials, LHK always satisfies.
Staff was professional, knowledgeable and very kind. Food was fantastic! We had the fried deviled eggs, pork chop, roasted veg, the potatoes, and the apple empanada. The portions were generous, and fairly priced. It got a little loud as the place filled up, but otherwise it was a great experience.
Best cocktails in town! The restaurant has a wonderful patio you can enjoy the specialty cocktails in the summer. During colder months there is great seating indoors and in the bar. The food is amazing especially the pork belly and really anything they make with pork, but leave room for something sweet. They have great treats including an sticky toffee pudding!
The food is great, no doubt about it. Their bar is also the best. Their food and drinks are reasonably priced and it reflects in the quality of the product.
Amazing place. Had a great wedding reception party and all who attended were blown away by the meals. Thanks again guys!
Wonderful food, excellent service!
Don't be put off by the strip mall location. It's all sleek and modern inside, and the vine-draped patio is gorgeous in summer. The bar is tiny, which is too bad because the cocktails are awesome and creative (try the Passport). My favorite dish is the enormous juicy pork chop with bacon marmalade. The sticky toffee pudding is amazing (and also enormous).
Very good food. Server rushed is through a bit. Bartender was good too. Really liked the fried deviled eggs, the potato side is delicious and crispy, the fries are really good. Group had whole fish, steak, salad and rabbit
LOVE!!!Menu changes, which is fun. Love eating outside in the sheltered cozy patio. Very nice place, great service!
Excellent food, atmosphere and service! Definitely will be going back in the future!
Love how the menu changes with the seasons!
Very nice atmosphere & great service & superb food! No complaints!
Very pretty restaurant. Good date place. Very chichi menu. Never had to ask so many questions about ingredients. Hideously expensive. A $45.00 filet came with nothing. No veg No salad. Cooked perfectly. Sauce on the side was delicious. Fried deviled eggs very good entre. $9.00 for 2 eggs. Could have gotten a bowl of veg for the table. $9.00 Drink was unusual. Mexican Manhattan. Chocolate bitters. Very good. Tiny drink.$12.00. I wanted to like it better than I did due to resentment over pricing. Companions said pork chops and salmon quite good. Service was perfect. Probably won't go back.
Great locally sourced food, intimate setting and fantastic service
Price was slightly high for what we got, but enjoyed our meal.
Unfortunately not as good as we expected.
This has got to be my absolute favorite restaurant in town. Everything they make is perfection down to the smallest detail. I have been there several times and was pleased to take my wife there on her birthday. They treated us very well with knowledgeable and polite staff.
As I entered into the restaurant by mistake I was unconscious of what was about to touch my lips. Making my way outside to cozy up by the fire I gave a glance over the menu with much surprise. I am a traditionalist who has the splendid opportunity to taste some the most escusite prime cutts that this world offers. As I glanced over the conservatively appointed menu. I couldn't hold back the unclear feelings of the lack of traditional variety. I reluctantly chose the only steak option on the menu. I waited in unexpected intoxication of what was about to over come my senses. When the meal arrived, I couldn't help but notice the subtle blend of familiarity with the undeniable twist of creativity. If you to live in the Indianapolis area, do not deny your taste buds from the creative twist to what is everyday life. To the first 8 new comers who try the ribeye and are not grossly satisfiesed. I will personally write you a check for your meal.
Always love this place...Our waiter Chris is theeeee best....
Great food. Great service. Fantastic atmosphere! Great for celebrating an anniversary
Always a great time. Never disappoints! Murphy is a great bartender! Order a passport, thank me later!
Amazing flavor profiles! The ingredients may seems crazy, until you taste it and your mind is blown! A must try !
Great menu with high quality. Server Doug is terrific.
This place has a very intimitate setting and the food is great. The servers are very knowledgeable about everything on the menu and can help you discover what you want. It is pricey , but worth the cost
Great food, drinks and service while sitting at the bar. The filet was done perfectly. Potatoes Minneapolis was a great side but the best part was the dessert. Kudos to the bartender who served us and recommended we try out North End BBQ which was also great.
This place is stunning. My favorite hands down ..the bar is over the top with Brody and Murph. Hi calibre..a wonderful outdoor spot with fireplace and wysteria at sunset
This restaurant is an absolute must in the Indianapolis area! I took my mom and aunt during there visit and we had the best time. We were seated by a beautiful inside fireplace. Our waiter was delightful and created such a nice experience for us. The food is absolutely delicious. They use the freshest ingredients and make a lot of items in house. The fried deviled eggs were fantastic! Will definitely be back many more times!
My wife and I will definitely eat here again on a date. Get the sticky toffee pudding for dessert.
Great food! Great wine!
What can I say? Intimate and cozy restaurant and bar. Our waiter was Phenomenal! Knowledgeable about the menu, excited to have us taste the food and always seemed to anticipate our next need. The food was seasoned to perfection and what a unique and delicious menu. This was a special treat. Perfect for date night, Girls night out, Anniversary or Birthday. Trust me, you cant go wrong!!
Late Harvest is one of my favorites restaurants in the city. Everything they do shows attention to detail from cocktails to the wine list to the amazing menu that changes just often enough to keep things interesting. The food is unbelievable; this is a great place to try a new dish because they do everything so well that you'll never be disappointed. Despite the fantastic trappings, the vibe isn't stuffy or high brow at all - the staff is fantastically attentive and friendly.
food is great, experience was awesome. 4 star due to i believe being slightly overpriced.
Delicious!
One of my favorite places. They've had the rabbit, biscuits, and gravy on the menu for years in various forms and it's my favorite.
Hardly upscale. Cheap liquor, small portions, apathetic service. People at table next to us said the owner is a real tyrant. Won't be back.
Favorite restaurant in the area. Really amazing food preparation. The prices are on the high side, but I feel they are justified. Check this place out. Get the sticky toffee pudding!
The Service: When we first arrived, no one was at the front to greet us. It took five minutes for someone to appeared randomly out of a back room and ask if we had reservations. We did, so we were then seated and met our friends. We had to wait five minutes for our actual waiter to come over. He was very loud and went on about how the menu changes every day (even though the menu was exactly the same as when we looked it up weeks ago). It just seemed like a pretentious speech that went on forever. We emailed ahead, to see if the chef is up for the challenge of making us a vegan dish. Many chefs we've asked to do this actually are really excited and up for the challenge. Late Harvest's chef said that when we come in to ask the server what can be made vegan, and that he would make us up something special. We told the server this, and he pretty much ignored our request saying since there is one vegetarian dish on the menu, the chef would not make something special. When we asked what could be made vegan, the waiter didn't seem to know much about the menu in terms of animal ingredients. We went back and forth for a few minutes trying to figure out what we could and could not eat. First he'd say something could be made vegan, and the a minute later, he would correct himself. He had to ask the chef several times and literally a few minutes before our food arrived, he said, "Oh, sorry, The Potatoes Minneapolis are made with a clarified butter. We can just fry up some potatoes in canola oil." We were starving at this point and agreed. The Worst Part of the Night's Service: The main thing that stuck out was when our waiter refilled my husband's water glass. He reached over the table with his arm literally a centimeter away from my face. I had to back up, and he never said "Excuse me" or apologized. For a restaurant that has "daily" specials and where the waitstaff take the effort to remove your salad forks, we were flabbergasted when this happened. We were asked if we wanted dessert and we said, "I'm sure there's probably nothing for us to eat." The waiter laughed and said, "Yeah, we should have a sorbet as it's summer, but we don't. We replaced it with a sundae, sorry limited menu space." Then, he gives us one check. He never even asked us if we all wanted to split it, so we have to wait more to get his attention. He rudely and loudly look our cards and said, "Which one goes on what card." We explained it to him, and we finally got separate checks. The Food: -French Fries: We don't expect french fries to be spectacular, but at least don't over cook them. It seemed the grease that they were fried in was burnt. They just threw a couple slices of raw jalapenos on top with a ton of salt. No other seasoning. At least it was a large portion? Sigh. -North African Vegetable Tagine Couscous with golden raisins, apricot chutney, charmoulas: We were so excited to try this. Ugh, what a disappointment. While the portion size was large, they barely gave us any couscous or apricot chutney. The vegetables were fresh, but the dish was so flavorless. This type of dish calls for mix of African spices, and it didn't have any of that. What a let down... Not worth $18 dollars at all. -Roasted Vegetables: These are the same vegetables that come in the North African Vegetable Tagine, seasoned the same, so if you bought that, don't waste your money here. The vegetables include, carrots, mushrooms, cauliflower, broccoli, and green beans. We didn't expect the vegetables to have a strong flavor, but these were just so greasy and bland. Overall, if it wasn't for our nice friends, it would've been a terrible night. The rude waiter was loud and made a huge deal that we were vegan. He lacked the manners and skills to be a good waiter. We never felt welcome. The service was slow, and the food was bland and overpriced. One dish and two sides with tip for $45 is not what we want to spend our hard earned money one, especially considering we both felt sick afterwards from everything swimming in oil. Needless to say, we won't ever be returning.
The service is 2nd to none.
Lovely restaurant with great food
Have been to the restaurant two times, both times the food was wonderful, and so was the staff. One of my favorite restaurants in Indianapolis.
Great food. Excellent service. Nice wine list
Nice, but not as nice as the price suggests. They have a few items that they really shine on like the pork chop, but at $28 it's priced about $10 more than what it ought to be. Sharing is allowed though, and many of thier plates can feed two.
I visited the Late Harvest twice on a trip to Indy this past week. The first was for desert and wine with two friends and the second was with a group of 16 close collegues. Both times the service was excellent in all regards. The meal was very well prepared and presented. The pork chop was excellent. The sticky toffee pudding desert was amazing and will make me return on each future trip to Indy.
Great atmosphere, foods and wine! I highly recommend this place!
The food was pretty good. It is a place with shareable entrees and sides. The only downside was the sides were overcooked.
Good food, with menu that changes often. Can be a bit pricey, but has a very nice outside dining area.
Great food and drinks! Not a lot of options on the menu for Vegetarians. Friendly staff and a good collection of wines! It’s a fancy place!
Absolutely loved the food and the wait staff. We will be returning.
Great venue to host a private event.
Decent place to eat.
Excellent as always
Exceptional food and service! Try the grilled Octopus. I've had it around the globe. It's the best.
If you like independent restaurants with sharp waiters and bartenders and, or course, a genius chef, this is your place. Reserve early.
Wow. Fantastic on all fronts! Menu changes every week I believe.
THIS IS THE WORST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! JUST CALLED TO GET A DONATION AND THE "MANAGER" RYAN WENT OFF ON ME FOR CALLING DURING BUSY BUSINESS HOURS. OKAY, MY BAD THAT I CALLED AT 6:45 BUT YOU DID NOT HAVE TO BE SO RUDE????? So I call back AFTER HE HUNG UP ON ME just to mention how if he wants any service at all, he should speak nicer to potential customers and he sarcastically made fun of me and disrespected me once again. Completely in shock in how someone could treat someone like that. Regardless of how busy you are, you should never EVER speak to someone in that way. SO unprofessional it is sickening. And as for Late Harvest Kitchen, you should hire people with better people skills, customer service, and just someone with common courtesy. Will never ever come again if there are more people like Ryan that work there. Absolutely disgusted.
Had a great engagement dinner here!!!
Had our wedding reception dinner there, Chef Nelson does it right. The pork chop is so good, and the sticky toffee pudding is probably the best desert I have ever had. In my opinion the best restaurant in the Indy area.
Dinner tonight at Late Harvest Kitchen was delicious! We had: - Pork chop topped with bacon marmalade, house kraut, beans, and vinegar peppers - Hand cut fries in smoked bone marrow butter and fresh jalepenos (most delicious thing ever!) - Rabbit biscuits and gravy with carrots and grilled ramps - General Tso style pork belly If you're ever in Indianapolis, eat here. Delicious food, fantastic service, a nice selection of bourbons, and great outdoor seating.
Amazing food. travel the world in search of great food, Ryan never disappoints
We arrived at the restaurant and the host/hostess was very pleasant and upbeat. Seemed like a nice environment initially. Our server Terrell introduced himself, but then disappeared for an extremely long period of time. We eventually saw him assisting another nearby table numerous times. Time goes by, Terrell still seems to be very focused on the nearby table. The bartender comes over, greets us and assists us with beverages. We mentioned that Terrell was supposed to bring over bread, but had not yet. The bartender comes back with bread that was clearly burnt. (No explanation of why our initial server Terrell was no longer assisting us. The restaurant was not busy at all). Following the beverages and burnt bread, we waited a long period of time for someone to take our order. When the bartender finally returns to take our order, we informed him that we would be going elsewhere for dinner. Initially, we were excited about trying a variety of things on the menu since this was our first visit to Late Harvest Kitchen. Possibly a bad night for staff, but we still expect great service and/or at least an explanation/apology. Poor Presentation/Service.
Great food! I have eaten many times, and it never disappoints!
Took my family here. Everyone loved it! 5 stars all around.
Great food. You have to get the deviled eggs, they're deep fried!
The rabbit is AWESOMEand of course the sticky icky!!!
Our favorite date night
Locally sourced restaurant with great service, food and drink. It was a great experience.
Nice place. Great patio.
The meal was excellent as usual and the sticky toffee pudding wonderful for dessert!
The quality of menu items and the service were superb. We will always consider this restaurant for special occasions.
Great restaurant for an excellent and delicious dinner.
I was visiting town with a group for work and we visited Late Harvest Kitchen on a recommendation; one of the best we could have gotten. Walked in on a Wednesday evening during peak dinner hours and was seated immediately and drink orders taken promptly. The food menu revolves daily and our server, Chris, did an incredible job of walking through recommendations and answering our questions. The Potatoes Minneapolis and hand cut fries were extremely flavorful and great starters for 4. The 16 oz Porkchop couldn't have been better-seasoned and filling. The atmosphere felt more upscale, but was very accommodating to my ball cap and jeans attire. Definitely will be visiting Late Harvest Kitchen again on my return to North Indianapolis. Big tip of the cap to Chris and the rest of the staff for offering a remarkable dining experience; thank you!
Food much better than expected. Quaint bar
Two words: pork cheek. The server talked me into it, and I am so, so glad that he did. Best pork dish I've ever had. It's not on the menu often, but if you see it, be sure to get it. You won't be disappointed.
Great food yummie wine ... Great service too
Nice innovative place ... very enjoyable.
It is a terrific place!
This has been an Indy staple for years now and remains a solid choice on the North Side. Seafood is always good and the pork chop a signature dish.
Great restaurant, upper class food, always a visit worth.
Excellent service and selection of food
Great bartenders, awesome sticky toffee pudding. Try all of the things.
Awesome meal and great service. Barrel aged cocktail was really tasty. General Tsos pork belly and calamari (not fried) was both very good. Date cake dessert was awesome. Highly recommended. Check it out.
Always my very favorite! Great food. Great service. It's my go to!
Amazing flavors, excellent service, I'm so happy to have found this place! Thank you also for having a fantastic vegetarian option.
I have high expectations for any dish thats over $30. The taste is good but not superior and the quality of food is lacking. Portion is small. Quite disappointed.
I loved dining at Late Harvest! They have an amazing outdoor patio perfect for summertime with a fountain, fire pit, and beautiful ivy overhangs. We had a reservation for a group of 12 and ended up sitting down more than 30 minutes after our reservation time. Luckily, they have amazing bread upon request to start with. The biscuit was my favorite with the poppyseed bread roll as a close second. At my table of four, we split the whole fish, pork chop, ramp waffle, and potatoes Minneapolis and it was the perfect amount of food.
Absolutely Tremendous
Over priced for portion/ quality in my opinion.
