This is our "go to" sushi restaurant when we want to go out with guests and our kids. The staff is always very courteous and the food is great. It is priced comparably to any establishment that provide this type of food (Japanese/Chinese).

Here for a birthday party -- chef had no personality whatsoever and never said a word . . .. no marshmallows for the kids no nothing - did not make it fun and festive. Fried rice hardly has any peas or carrots or eggs in it for that matter -- basically just looked like soy sauce and rice. Food was great - have a severe gluten allergy and it was nice they cooked our meals first so not contaminated (Thank YOU). High prices but waiter was amazing and so on his game. Was not rushed out like last time and very nice to enjoy the whole family and food.

Not very good! Good cooks and service but Very Bad management!! We went for lunch numerous times. Last time there we explained to the owner or manager that my girlfriend was uncomfortable because of someone filming in the restaurant. I asked the guy if he could wait 10 minutes until she's done eating but he kept filming. OWNER DID NOTHING ABOUT IT! We always tipped the cooks and servers well and been there at least 12 times. Owners should know to back up their customers and make them feel welcome and comfortable! Especially repeat customers who've spent a lot of $ in there. Business as usual, I suppose. Place would be a lot better if Mark owned it or someone else who knows how to run it right! Will not go back again!

It's a bit cheaper than the other Japanese steakhouses in town, but just as good. The clear soup is tasty and filling. The tempura crab was crunchy and delicate. The gyoza had a bite to them, most other places they are just chewy. The boyfriend got the swordfish and although it was chopped up into squares it was fantastic! Juicy, firm cooked pieces. The vegetables were good to. I had a sushi and the rice was great! The other places we've been the rice falls apart as soon as I did it in some sauce, not here. It stays together with some firmness. The waitress, seemingly a little high was still effective. We got what we ordered even if she was a little clumsy. At least she didn't spill anything on us or the table. The rest of the staff is friendly. Clean restrooms! We'll be back for sure.

Very Japanese food and decor. It's like being in a little restaurant in Tokyo, except they speak English and are happy to serve you. Nicely worn in, not the typically overly flashy style we get in the states. Genuine attention to detail with my lunch special salmon over braised thin sliced carrot. Nice touch. If you were Japanese it's the kind of restaurant your friends would all agree upon. I almost wish I had more time here in Fort Wayne to try some more menu items. But, I do want to go home. I wonder if I'll have time to try the tempura.

Koto has a great staff, awesome chefs, and relaxing environment. You can decide between a relaxed dining atmosphere or get some excitement in the hibachi dining area. Onion volcano's, etc. The price is better than the other guys and the food is better imho.

A treat for sure! Our grill chef was friendly but appeared inexperienced. Dropped one egg, lemon, rice and veggies. Cleanup crew was on hand. Our server was super and on the ball - was right on and had lots of energy. Drinks were constantly refilled. Food was good and folks at our grill thoroughly enjoyed. A return for sure.

First time customer. Just recently moved to the Fort Wayne area and wanted to take my girlfriend out for our anniversary dinner. Food was phenomenal and the atmosphere was amazing. Definitely recommend Koto and we will be going back soon. Loved it!

Great hibachi grill with regular dining option. Standard dinner show with their own twist on fried rice and salad dressing recipes. Great sushi menu. Good for groups or getting carry out. Usually a place for a special occasion, but they do occasionally have specials during the week on slow days. Would visit again.

We have been to Koto several times and have had Mark as our hibachi chef on 3 different occasions. He is hilarious and extremely entertaining. Today, we took our toddler and he was very patient and accommodating. We will definitely be going back to Koto and would recommend trying to get Mark as your chef.

I mean, isn't that part of why you choose this type of restaurant? On our last visit we lost the lottery and got both an inexperienced waitress as well as an inexperienced chef. While the food was good, he wasn't confident enough to be very entertaining

BEST sushi in Fort Wayne! It's too bad the old crew of worker's that served us for many many year's are gone... But they have the freshest option's & roll's are Great sized for the money. The Spider, Shogun, & Fillet roll are a Must. And I always have a Spicy octopus hand roll custom made that very good

This place was pretty good, they were open on Christmas when I was hungry so it was a nice place to stop and get some food. We didn't sit at the grill, but you can get the same food while sitting in the dining room. I got the beef teriyaki and it was very good. I like the tea and the fried rice too, I could eat a boatload of the rice. I would recommend this place.

We went to koto for lunch this afternoon. The prices for lunch specials were more than worth it. We were promptly seated at a grill and orders were taken within a few minutes of seating. The guy working the grill, Mark, was fantastic and entertaining. in and out during lunch in under an hour. fast, fun, good prices, and absolutely delicious. thanks for a great time..we now have a new favorite lunch spot!

Trip advisor stated that KOTO was one of the top 30 restaurants in Fort Wayne. Being that I LOVE sushi and the art of it, we had to try it out. We had an appetizer of Tuna Tatake. I respect the craftsmanship behind the beautiful presentation, but as beautiful as it may have been it lacked flavor and the fish itself was rubbery. We ordered the nigiri Inari (tofu skin) I get that its supposed to be cold, but it was so cold it felt frozen. I ordered a few hand rolls which were nothing special. A Philadelphia roll, and a spicy tuna roll, which were both heaped with fish. Honestly, I love sushi and with all the other choices we have in Fort Wayne I cant say I am jumping to make reservations to come back to this one.

hubby ordered medium rare ribeye at grill site. He got medium well. Server hardly spoke English, did not entertain, did not ask questions. We were all rushed at our table given carryout box just after getting our food. Then bill came before finished. Will NEVER go back. This restaurant cares about quantity of customers rather than service and caring about quality. It took 4 people to decide what to do about the problem....girl said "do you want us to cook in back and then you can take it home?" Very poor experience in business.

I liked going there because everything was good and the crew was great but manager made it so I won't go back because they didn't inform us of a camera crew coming in to make a commercial and I expressed I didn't want to be filmed and that I was uncomfortable with the camera being in there while I was there and they kept filming and manager or owner did nothing to make it right... I think that making the costumers comfortable to keep the repeat business would be there main priority but it wasn't and so they lost several costumers .. We will not be going back because of it... I even tried to avoid the camera shot to go to the restroom and the camera man then started filming right by the restroom so I couldn't even get back to my table for several minutes and we left immediately after .. Even after my hubby called to express how we felt and he still did nothing to make it right...

This place is always excellent for a tasty lunch or dinner. The creative special rolls are amazingly flavorful, and the Japanese entrees are very delicious. Chicken fried rice and Teriyaki steak are some of my favorites. Also try the dragon roll, volcano roll, and emperors roll. A great value for lunch and dinner. And the service is prompt and friendly.

They cook in front of you here. It would be advised to wear something decent but it isn't required. Prices range from $16 to $30 for food. Drinks aren't known to me since I personally don't drink in public. Chefs are unique and quite entertaining. Very enjoyable.
