You must have seen that the average score it has is quite positive, and it's founded on a very large number of scores, so we may think that the evaluation is quite reliable. If many people have bothered to leave their review when they've done well, is that it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to write tatings when these are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Restaurant corresponds to the category of Chinese restaurant.
Fresh food, polite staff, and clean facilities. Those are my basic requirements for hole in the joint like this one. But the food is fire! You gotta try the roasted pork buns, and just about any of the entrees on the menu are sure to delight. If you're willing to brave the Keystone traffic or are just in the area car shopping, stop by here for a bite. You won't regret it.
My teacher owns this place, he's a cool guy, Food's excellent, too
This place has new ownership as of 3 months ago (Sept 2014). The service was friendly and cheerful and the restaurant was very clean. The food was excellent, especially for the price ($6.99). I had General Tso's chicken with an egg roll and chicken fried rice - all hearty portions. Too much for a lunch, really, and I could have used a nap when I got back to the office. Note: they also deliver for $1.59 extra.
Authentic, delicious, and reasonably-priced. Quick, friendly service.
Great place. They make you feel at home.
Person taking order over the telephone was very polite and specific yet my order was wrong, close yet wrong. Also their website says nothing about a $2.00 "Gas Fee" or anything about a delivery charge, it only states something about a $15.00 minimum order. I ordered Crab Rangoon with my order, lots of pastry and very, very little crab and cream cheese filling.
What an absolutely fantastic surprise to find! I was getting my car tires fixed down the street from this seasons pot holes and walked across to grab a snack. The menu was unlike most of the other Chinese places around town and had many items I wasn't familiar with. The beef sandwich on the appetizer menu is the most amazing thing ever! It was a cold thin shaved brisket with onions and hoisin sauce on a warm sesame seed bun. So good!! The beans were also awesome and so were the home made noodles. Yup, they make the food from scatch, not simply pulling it from a can and warming it like many places around town. The service was fantastic and she was very friendly and helpful with describing the menu. I can't wait to go back, I've been searching for a place like this for a long time!
Very good food and friendly service. Good lo mein and fried rice. Good vegetarian options too... the General Tso's tofu is delicious... wonderfully crispy tofu and flavorful, spicy sauce. The crab rangoons are big and delicious, and the egg rolls are awesome. Food is always hot and ready for pickup very quickly. Definitely a cut above the other run-of-the-mill Chinese places!
Our first order and the food was great, and the owners responsive. We enjoy a spicier and hot food and if you ask they respond.
Arguably the best Chinese restaurant in Carmel. Great service and really nice food at a very fair price.
Try the orange chicken, it's great
What a shame. The first few times ordered the food was really good. Today I ordered pick up and my sweet/sour chicken was so dry and over cooked I couldn't eat it. Even the chicken within was hard like tree bark. When I called back apologetically for a replacement, the lady said she would credit me half the price of the order "because the rice is still good"! What?! If you ruin an order, you need to replace it, period. You response below is ridiculous. The "rest" of the order consisted of white rice. It was not eaten and would have been cold by the time you brought me new chicken. If 2 cents worth of white rice is more important than repeat business, you need to rethink your policy.
Very well done for Chinese carry out. Friendly staff and a clean kitchen.
The duck was so good! The price was even better!
Quality Chinese food served by a friendly family.
Ordered online and never got food because apparently their printer was out of ink. Food may be good but I wouldn't know I didn't get any. Just don't use order up to order food here. Willing to try again and may change review once I go in and try it.
We had the hand made noodles and steamed pork buns, both were really good. The food tasted very authentic and fresh, service was great, owner was really nice and overall this place had a very homey feel to it.
I usually don’t take the time to write a food review but this was the best Chinese meal I’ve had. You can tell a lot of care goes into the menu here. The hand cut noodles were amazing and so was the homemade plum tea. Will definitely be coming back!
Me and my family have been going here for a short while but every time we go the food is delicious and the people are lovely. It’s a bit of a long drive for us but it’s totally worth it. The food isn’t greasy like most restaurants and the cream rangoons are delicious. I would 100% recommend eating here.
Nice owners and great food.
Great food, everything taste unlike anything Chinese food I have tasted before. The beef stew is really balanced.
Nice food with much reasonable price. Kudos to the teAm!!
Food is cooked beautifully and staff is helpful and considerate. Highly recommend
Good food (not greasy like some places) great staff!!!!
Really perfectly breaded and fried general tsos.
Horrible customer service from the lady at the front. Someone needs to explain to her the importance of customer service. When some one would like one of you 0.01 bags, you should give it to the person with out any issue. Clearly I did not want the cold drink on top of the cold food. That would make the food cold and drink warm. A simple request and yet you can't do it? I hope the rating was worth it to you. However, The guy who worked the front yesterday was very nice and genuine.
Very expensive for the quality of food provided. Had bourbon chix from here tonight and it was terrible. It was cooked way too long and dry dry! Maybe a PT weekend cook? $36 in total down the drain!
Very good place with original Chinese food & noodles.
Third visit! Perfect for a dreary cold day’s Pre holiday lunch!!! Thank you!
This is a small chilled restaurant that only has one chef who makes amazing traditional food! They have an American Chinese food menu and a traditional Chinese food menu - mostly Taiwanese or shanghainese style.
Bland food. Inconvenient location. The food here used to be both plentiful and flavorful. Now, even simple ma po tofu is oversalted and the fried rice has literally zero flavor. The area is shutting down, also, and accessing the place is a pain due to traffic and construction. In my opinion, save your time and money.
EVERYONE FORGET ABOUT WHAT YOU THOUGHT ABOUT ASIAN CUISINE! They have a new vendor for their chicken and they changed their rice recipe! EVERYTHING in my opinion tastes sooo much better. I'm very very pleased with this restaurant and it's staff!
not a good go around this time chicken was soggy just did not like it at all threw it away after a couple bites not happy with the food
Good food
Good quality food. Surprised it's not ever crowded!
Great food, nice people! Great crab Rangoon sauce
Very authentic (I believe) Asian cuisine. Small family run business.
No general tso’s here! Only fresh, authentic Chinese cuisine. My boyfriend and I have visited several local authentic places nearby and so far, this is my favorite in the Carmel area. Super courteous and friendly staff too which is an extra plus. Highly recommend the salt and pepper fish!
Small portions for the price (large $10 is standard size you'd order at any other American Chinese restaurant $7-$8) They also ask for a tip upfront when you order for carryout. If the food, service and prices were more than mediocre I'd consider a small tip. But sadly they're not and being asked upfront serves as a turnoff more than anything. There are plenty of other Chinese restaurants in the area. I wouldn't go here unless it's just overly convenient for you.
Ate here a few times and can easily say one of the better Chinese places around. Alot of food for a good price very friendly staff
I’ve been searching for an authentic, home-cooking Chinese experience for a long time, and now I think I’ve found it here. Best thing about this place is the food. Definitely a hidden gem in the north side of Indy.
Love their food for lunch break!! Best pork egg rolls! Favorite dish is the Kung Po chicken. Excellent chicken fried rice. And they make their own hot oil that you can add to any dish. The owner is extremely friendly, and she always remembers our names.
The best crab rangoon you will ever have!
Ordered fried dumplings and they were burnt. I also ordered a sweet and sour chicken combo. It was delivered to a hotel and silverware was sent. Was very disappointed!!
This will be the third time my work ordered food from here. We got chicken teriyaki, pork lo mein, and chicken fried rice. The "chicken" had more onions than chicken in it. There were so many onions we could barely eat it. The teriyaki sauce was so watery that it was all over the bag and the other food. It's taste was really bland as well. The pork lo mein noodles were probably the best tasting, but they were extremely dry and it was hard to eat more than three bites without taking a drink. The fried rice was pasty and tasted like it was reheated in the microwave before we got it. It was flavorless and the texture was awful. This meal for one person costed barely under $20. Anywhere else that kind of money would feed two people with way better food. Just down the street is a General Tso's. I never write reviews, but steer clear of this place. My entire group of co-workers just keeps getting disappointed.
I absolutely love this place. I didn't trust may Chinese food places after a bad experience a few years ago. So when I tried Chinese again I tried this place and love it! They are always accurate, hot and fresh. Now, I have everyone at work getting for from this place. We always place big orders and they always get it right! The food is so good and I love the fried rice! Everything is so light and fresh it's not heavy like most Chinese restaurants. I have so many good things to say about this place and I cannot stop raving about it!!
I get lunch from here once a week. I'm never disappointed. Wish more places had the bean curd like them.
Fair prices and friendly services. The hot spicy Sichuan beef seems very old and taste wired. But I do like the thousands years egg with tofu. Next time will try the soybean paste noodles:)
Tasty and filling. Disappointed that the Xiao Long Bao weren't as soupy and seemed a bit overdone judging by the grey meat bits in the bottom of the steam tray. [Edit: Go to Tian Fu Asian Bistro for Xiao Long Bao, it's on the Chinese only menu. No not the second authentic items menu, another menu.]
Fantastic tasting food! Great customer service! I will definitely be recommending this place!
Great chinese food. Friendly staff. Our favorite Chinese place on the north side. I'd say it's a bit of a hidden gem. If you order take out I recommend calling in. Looks like the online ordering is a work in progress.
Great fresh cooked to order dishes. Very well done.
Fried rice was good with a nice smokey flavor. Chicken Lo Mein was pretty good. The hot and sour soup was very bland. In contrast, the egg drop soup was so salty that it was inedible. We tried adding water, and it was still too salty!
The food is very traditional and absolutely tasty
Great food, very friendly staff. I will be back. I had the shrimp and mixed veggies lunch combo, which comes with fried or streamed rice and a pork eggroll ($7.99) hot tea was also included. The sevice was fast, the food was prepared perfectly, and the portions were large.
(Translated by Google) He is very good! (Original) 他是很好!
Wonderful food and better service. I highly recommend the chicken lo mein.
Asian Cuisine has the best Chinese noodles I've had in Indianapolis! I highly recommend the Beef Dao Xiao Mian (牛肉刀削麵) it's delicious!
By far the most fresh and delicious Chinese food around!
There are two menus for this place. For lack of definitions, there is a 'Caucasian' and an 'Asian' menu. The Caucasian menu has the standard Chinese food stuffs. Good food, but nothing too noteworthy (IMHO). Get the Asian menu for a more authentic cuisine. The lady running the place was very pleasant and accommodating. The dishes that I ordered were exceptional (fish in a chili sauce, eggplant with garlic sauce, sauteed shrimp). This is now my favorite Chinese restaurant (in Indianapolis).
This place is a Hidden Gem! The owner is very friendly and the food is beyond delicious. Probably the best eggplant ever. The Mapo tofu is divine. 100% recommend!
Stopped to wait out some traffic and wandered into this gem of a place. The shaved noodles were amazing and the staff was very friendly. Highly recommended.
Nice Taiwanese food.
This place sucks. The chicken was overcooked, the fried race tasted like oil, AND the egg drop soup was watered down. To add on top of things, there was a small metal ball that resembles a shotgun BB in the chicken! It was even delivery! Absolutely terrible.
I love the quality of chicken they use in the bourbon chicken. Whiter meat and less fat than even the big places like P.F.Chang's. Plus, everyone from the cashiers to the delivery people are unbelievably friendly. I ordered using the app and when I arrived the cashier (I want to say she might be the owner) very apologetically explained that she had to run to the bank and didn't see the order. I only waited for 5-10 minutes (which was fine since I wasn't doing anything anyway) but she was so nice and ended up giving me some cookies for having to wait. Never been disappointed here..
Beef and noodle soup is excellent here. The house made hand cut noodles are some of the best noodles I have ever had!
Excellent Broccoli & Chicken. Very fresh vegetables and tasty chicken. Had with Wonton soup....so good! Always a fresh delicious meal!
Pretty good food. Waitstaff are very helpful and attentive.
Service was good but the taste of the food was not... That's just my opinion
We love this place! The food is always fresh and hot. I had given up on most Chinese food until we ran across this place. Great selections and always freshly prepared.
