This Restaurant corresponds to the category of Indian restaurant.
Top notch! Hidden gem! This place has fresh, vibrant flavors tailored to your spice level. Great lunch menu. Great dinner menu. Finally, an Indian restaurant that does not do the "lunch buffet" same old same old. They care about your dining experience. If you have a bad experience here, you didn't speak up when asked "how is everything". Keep up the great work.
Food was great! First time having Indian food and loved it! Definitely a hidden gem.
Very disappointed. Their kadai chicken was really good the first time. It wasnt right this time.
Great food. Great ambience. Great people helping...
Food was good.. as usual like other Indian restaurant the leftover chicken in Chicken Tikka masala is used in Chicken Briyani..nothing special...
Wow!! This has to be the best Indian food I've had across the state of Ohio. The owners (husband and wife) were there and besides both of them being so friendly and hospitable, they also took such pride in their food and work. Would highly recommend this place!!
I tasted great Indian cuisine. Service was very kind. I can't wait to go back.
Stellar food, lovely atmosphere, price point a bit high, but the bryani is the best I've ever had. #yum
Best indian food i have had in the area.
Very good tasting Chicken Tikka Masala on the lunch menu. I would definitely come back and try other dishes. Plenty of food and naan was good too.
There was hair in our dal makhni. Although they replaced the dal but being present there, the owner/manager didn't even come to talk to us or apologize for it. No nice gesture/compensation was given to us for this unhygienic inexcusable restaurant experience.
The staff was very friendly. The food was really really good. We ordered a lamb biriyani. I have no words to explain it.I would like to recommend this place if you love Indian foods.
Excellent food, service at a reasonable price. Amazingly large choice of meals.
Attentive staff. Excellent food. Missed the lunch menu on Christmas Day. Shrimp with mango sauce and Lamb fry were wonderful. Mr Manbir was engaging. Few top notch Indian restaurants in the TriState Area and this one is certainly on top - after Bombay Brazier !!
Food below average. I would not recommend anybody looking for an authentic Indian food
Always a great experience here. Delicious food and good service.
Awesome taste
Hands down, the best Indian food our group of friends has ever had. Out of the way and a little confusing to locate, but so worth it.
This is the best Indian food i have had in the West Chester/Liberty Twp area. Chicken Tika Masala and garlic naan was great. My wife is vegetarian and so Indian cuisine is always a winner. Will make this my go to spot when i'm craving my Indian fix.
Visited First Time, Ambience looks good and Food Tastes Decent..
Best Indian food that I ever have in my life
The food was amazing. Friendly staff and best Indian food in the area.
Mostly ok but the lamb tandorri was ground lamb not pieces of lamb like most Indian restaurants
Great food but a bit expensive for the amounts I got for my to go
Good food and service owners are great
Excellent food, service, setting.
Best dine in Indian in the area. Food is delicious!
Very good Indian food. Nice and friendly staff.
Amazing food. Had the salmon curry and it was ginger licking good.
Great indian food in West Chester ohio. Full bar and authentic sauces. Lots of meat in their dishes. Very nice people as well, will certainly go back.
My family and I have eaten here so many times and the food is simply delicious. The owners are amazing and every bite is like a step into India. You will not be disappointed.
Closest place for me to get my curry-on and I love it
ABSOLUTELY best Indian food in area! Lamb curry and Tikka Masala were delicious!
I have never been to an Indian restaurant before, this place is amazing! I ordered Shorba (I'd highly recommend) it is in the soup section, so much flavor... so delicious, I also ordered Tikka Masala which is basically the same thing as the Shorba but the rice is not mixed into it, it comes separate, this meal is seriously the best I've had in a very long time, I regret not taking pictures to show how amazing it looked, they were both bursting with flavor, I did a heat level of 4 which was pretty mild and my husband heat level 7, he said you don't taste the heat right away, it builds up as you are eating it, we were both very pleased on how delicious they both were, the restaurant is quite elegant inside, and the staff was beyond excellent, never had to ask for refills, very friendly, made us feel like VIP's, at the end of our meal a very nice man I believe it was the manager came around and made sure everything was to our liking, if I could give this restaurant 10 stars I would, we were beyond impressed, I will recommend this to anyone and I most definitely will be returning, thank you so much for the best first food experience.
I love this place! They have the best food, service, and the chef makes certain we have enjoyed our meals.
Best Indian in area. Owner very attentive. More than the usual Indian menu.
This place has the best tikka masala in Ohio. I recommend the Paneer tikka masala, and with the garlic naan you will be in heaven.
Had take out but quality of food was perfect
I had a wonderful experience with Indian Spice Train because the food it's preparation and taste was good and even the style of serving the food was also good than other restaurants. I visited Indian Spice Train many a time and every time my experience was unique. Even my daughter enjoyed the food. I am a vegetarian lady and I found a lot of delicious veg food. I really appreciate the effort of Mr. Mike and his dedication to serve his customers efficiently Really such a wonderful experience.
Nice ambience, Delicious food and service. Good Bar place.
Tasty food and solid service.
Phenomenal food, excellent service. Without a doubt, the best Indian cuisine in the area!
It's hard to come by indian restaurants that provide excellent food, service, and ambiance but Indian Spice Train manages to do just that. The menu is large and caters to various dietary needs. It's great for families, large groups, or date nights. The cocktail menu is great and the bartender is amazing! I am glad we stopped in here during our trip. The chili chicken had to be one of my favorite dishes followed by the tandoori ribeye. For appetizers, i loved the pappadi chat. I wish we had a restaurant like this by our home in Chicago so that I can get great Indian food at any time. I am sure this will be a stop on my list each time I visit the area!
We came to celebrate a birthday. The menu was on the pricy side so we thought it was going to be great but the quality wasn’t better than any other cheap Indian Cuisine. The naan was average. The service was just okay. The table was tiny. The whole restaurant was mostly empty. It wasn’t a great first impression. Not sure if we will ever come back.
This was our first time here and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious and our waiter very accomodating. He was very helpful in describing each dish that we asked about...
I liked it as a traveler. They have healthy selections. You can go vegetarian. Or you can get something beefy and get wasted at the bar. It really does have it all. You can get it spicey or mild.
Excellent experience from the staff to the food. We will definitely be back again.
Amazing food and great service to match!
Really good Indian food. Owners are friendly, hospitable.
This place is a hidden gem. The place has great ambiance. The food is very delicious and freshly cooked. The owner came to our table himself couple of times asking if everything was okay, how was the food. You don’t get to see that much care that often. 100% recommended.
Good food. No train. ;)
Hidden gem, so glad we found this place. Mike is an amazing host. Delicious authentic food & generous portions.
Excellent food and service. Right beside the hotel which is great if you are a traveler
Superb service, amazing food, wouldn't change a thing.
Food tastes good,good service.
A friend recommended we try Indian Spice Train because it is his favorite Indian food in town. We decided to try it out on our date night to celebrate our anniversary. It was LOVELY. The interior was lux but still classy... tablecloths, cloth napkins, candles, etc. Service was excellent with great suggestions. Cocktails were nicely balanced and pretty, too. Dinner was delicious with a visit from the chef. The staff made us feel so welcome! I’ve heard their wine pairing nights are great fun, too. Don’t be fooled by it’s tucked away location. A treasure, indeed.
Great food. Authentic flavor. Will definitely go again.
Love the food and atmosphere
Stellar experience everytime. Delicious authentic food with a wide variety of selections. Spice level available from 0-10. Luxurious atmosphere with a casual feel. Great for lunch, a romantic dinner date, carry out on a busy day or groups in their large party room. The staff is always friendly and professional. It's a hidden treasure.
Yummy foods which i had... Good services.. But disappointed that sunday is closed..
The best and most authentic Indian restaurant in Cincinnati. Food is simply delicious and ambiance is nice! You can customise it to your spice level. Manbeer , owner and his wife are very courteous and polite. We even had my son’s newborn party here. Needless to say it was super hit on all counts. Highly recommended.
The atmosphere is everything one would expect and more. The food .... WOW!! Perfectly spiced, the presentation of the food was modern and traditional. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. This is family friendly and large group friendly. The chef even came went by every ta Leroy make sure everything was fine!!!! Exceptional!!!! Thank you to tye staff Indian spice train it's been a great ride!Sherrylol &Sonya
Id probably give it five stars if this wasn't my fist time having Indian food. Staff was very friendly. Place was clean and tidy. Food was pretty good. The old fashioned I had barely had any bourbon but it is what it is. There were 14 of us and everyones orders were perfect. I will go back soon.
Clean and polite. But I got food poisoning. :(
Best Indian restaurant in Cincinnati
excellent indian food, great service, great atmosphere!
Great food served fast. Couldn't ask for more.
Very good
Great food, nice bar! Good ambience !
Best Indian food in the area
First time ordering food from here. The food was great, I will need to find my spice level though next time we go.
Ok, so hubby and I love Indian cuisine. Food was good which was why it gets 3 stars. My tikka was tasty but I got it level 7 out of 10 and it was completely unspicy, like maybe a 1 out of 10. Hubby got curry, 10 out 10 spicy and it was appropriately hot. The prices, though, are outrageous. $35 for take out lunch portions for 2 meals and 2 orders of naan. Plus there are no prices on the menu they didn't give a total over the phone. I didnt ask so that's my fault, but man, I was not expecting that. Very disappointed.
Love this place!!!
I just ate there and it was incredible. I definitely dare you to try the chicken 65
Excellent food and great wine. Service was superb. I will definitely make a point to eat here next time I'm in the area
Perhaps a bit pricier than some competitors, but the quality is exceptional. Absolutely delicious. Also, the proprietor is very friendly.
The dishes were very well made, nan breads were excellent, ambience is good, service was good and the restrooms were very clean as well!
If you want to eat authentic and quality Indian food this is the place to go. We have been going there since the restaurant opened few years back. We recently had a get together of over 20 people and pre ordered the food. As soon as we reached the food for kids was served, which goes to show the level of thought and organization of the place. Everything that we ordered tasted great. The service has always exceeded expectations. Tomato soup, Lamb wrap, Afgani kabab are my favorites. They have great chats too. All in all a fantastic place and experience.
Amazing food and friendly staff. The spice level is pretty accurate, usually other places are a little dull but this place is loaded with flavor and heat! So happy to no longer have to drive to Clifton for amazing Indian food.
I thought the food was very good. There wasn't a wait and the service was efficient. The owner stopped by the table to say hi and make sure everything was satisfactory and seemed genuinely interested in conversing vs. Just checking a box.
The food is quite exquisite and it has very fast service. The waiters are very kind and understanding. They also of a wide variety of liqour and spirits ranging from a few months to a few decades.
Having a personal bias towards my Mom's Indian cooking, I came to Spice Train with heavy skepticism and left being its biggest fan. I've been to Indian restaurants in NYC, London, and San Francisco and would confidently put this restaurant as one of the best. The food is absolutely delicious, authentic, and consistent. **The Chicken Afghani dish is incredible (I get it every time and have even requested them to make the appetizer portion into a dinner portion because it's so good).
Food quality is excellent! We enjoyed it
The soup is just outstanding. I'm still talking about it a month later. Good service, friendly staff, and great food. Full bar. Indian Spice Train has made it onto my list of must-visits when I come to Cincinnati.
Great food and service too!! They have recently opened and are trying to get a customer base. Pan ice cream was a pleasant surprise.
Their "Tikka Masala" tasted like spaghetti sauce, and made my BF very ill.
Great food! :)
Pros: -Fast service -great food, the rice is perfectly fluffy and the Naan is great too -friendly staff/managers -reasonably priced Cons: -not open all day -spice scale is a little inconsistent. I order at a level 10 and it's still not as hot as I like it sometimes, however I do have a high heat tolerance Best Indian food in the area in my opinion. Great spot for date night, and they're not ever really crowded.
Our time was an evening of enjoyment. The delicious food, the kindness of the staff made our time a MUST to repeat regularly.
The best lamb chop I ever had. This place is a rare find. Great taste and good service.
Always great food. Our go to restuarant for super Indian selection and meals.
Great food. Great staff. Nice place.
OK, no joke Folks! This is the place to go! it's really nice and fancy inside, so take your honey out and enjoy the night away. My wife and I go there every time we get the chance! It is totally worth the price and service, order the 3 platter meal and you will be addicted! Their sauces are so incredible that it makes any meal taste Amazing! We love it so much that we ordered catering for our daughter's sweet 16 and it blew everyone's minds at the party. Also, don't forget to try out the Mango-tini if you're into that kind of thing, it's to Die for! Usually, I order the Chicken Tika-Masala with garlic Nan (Unlevened tortilla) level 4 and my wife gets the Chicken Korma level of spice is 4 as well, the levels are from 1-10. The rice is sooo good and the bar is great too. If you like it that much like we did, ask for catering prices, he will work with any budget so as long as you are reasonable. The Manager is Awesome! I'm gerting hungry for Indian Spice Train, again!
Good food but wait staff/manager does not seem to listen or want to listen
Have been to this place a number of times. Food is always top notch and service is unsurpassed.
Excellent food! Don't leave without having their Shorba soup, it's amazing.
A bit pricy, but great Punjabi food
High priced Biryani don't even try Only good at management Yes mr.spice master I find better one Anyway I heard frm so many peopl U make same gravy fr all dishes Why don't u change and cook something real.
Food is wonderful!!! Can't wait to go back!!!
Great food! While the menu is a common set of Indian dishes, they are each truly unique and individually seasoned, cooked and flavored. No generic "put frozen sauce on the same ingredients". These are clearly each unique recipes -- our favorite Indian restaurant in the northern Cincinnati suburbs.
Absolutely amazing! First time going and I was the first customer before lunch rush and they paid very close attention. When they brought the food out, the smell alone was magical. Everything was absolutely divine, and their mint chutney is the best I've ever tasted! 11/10 would recommend
Very good but a little slow for lunch.
The food was awesome and exceptional. I have tried several Indian restaurants in Ohio. But I will put this place on the top. And the spicy level was in the exact level that it should be. I really liked. Don't go for higher spicy levels if you can't bear it. Because it won't be same as other places.
Loot people's money with some Random spice mashala .
Amazing food, totally North-Indian style of cooking. Service is pretty good and the owner is quiet friendly and makes sure you get want you want.
Best Tikka Masala anywhere! If I could give them more stars I would Friendly and inviting staff.
The food was delicious and generously portioned. I had the Tandoori ribeye while my wife had a chicken vindaloo. The heat is scaled from 1 to 10 and seemed to be accurate (e.g., a 4 tasted how I would expect). The naan was delicious and very fresh, with a choice of 6 or 8 different flavors. The service was adequate and the staff was helpful and knowledgeable. The chef checked on us personally and was very friendly. Budget $20-$30 person for dinner. The bar was well stocked with a surprising selection of Scotch varieties, as well a decent wine selection.
The best Indian food in the Cincinnati suburbs, the Chicken Tikka Masala and Dal Makhani are too die for, compared to others in town. Service maybe slow sometimes but the food is well worth it.
Excellent service, friendly & informative. I will be back.
Great evening out. Deliciously flavorful food and delightful staff.
Most tender and fresh tandoori chicken I've ever had. Pork chop appetizer was phenomenal.
Go for spicy Indian food and be sure of your spice level, as an Indian who can handle decent amount of space I take a l level 8 usually..
Nice curry, although heavier on the ginger than normal and the saag was standard. Friendly service and a great atmosphere. We almost couldn't find it, since we weren't looking for the black entry cover. We did only get one bowl of rice for a whole table, which wasn't enough and we had to ask for more.
Best indian around
Best biryani in town. Great food great ambiance and good service. A++
Probably the most quality Indian food you can get in Ohio. The service was amazing, and the curry was perfected. I would highly recommend eating here at least once.
An excellent restaurant. Amazing food and staff.
One of the good restaurants near Mason. Food is tasty and spicy
Top notch food and service. Very attentive owners and staff and the atmosphere is perfect. Great place for a date or a family dinner. I will be back often.
Excellent food, good atmosphere and friendly staff. Great place for Indian food. Highly recommend the chicken tikka masala and naan bread.
I ordered from this restaurant with door dash but there was an issue with the driver, which resulted in them not delivering my food. When I called the restaurant they explained the situation and very kindly offered to run my food over to me themselves. The door dash issue was not the restaurant's fault but they still took the extra step to make sure I was taken care of, which I really appreciated. Ordered the chana saag and chicken makhani (both medium). Sauce had a decent kick and was very flavorful, which is a nice change from a lot of the Indian restaurants around here that seem to have very bland sauce. Both were great and naan bread was also good (a little chewy, but I personally like it when there is some substance to the naan bread). Chana saag was especially yummy the next morning for breakfast :) will definitely be back here again!!
Spectacular! My wife and I get shorba a couple times a month. It's a must have! The naan is fantastic, the owner is great and the service is super friendly.
Flavors of the food were outstanding. Tikka and Saag was spiced just right, and the naan was of the right texture. Nice atmosphere as well.
One of the best Indian restaurants I have ever been to! Loved the tika masala!
This is my very favorite place. The food is delicious, and can be spiced to your desired level. This is Indian fine dining at its best. The menu has something for everyone, and one can have parties and groups here as well. There is a full bar, and you can get your favorite cocktail. I will never tire of patronizing this restaurant!
One of the better places I've had Indian food.
Delicious food, friendly staff and warm atmosphere. Good selection of drinks and entrees (meat, vegetarian and vegan options). The cheesecake dessert was divine.
Unbelievable service and food. Will go back
Friendly staff, good food! Lunch includes naan and rice which was more than enough food for me. Chicken tikka masala was tasty and nice and spicy (I ordered a 7/10). Only ding is for chicken that wasn't moist and was kind of chewy. Check it out, great place!
This place has good food and friendly staff. I primarily do take out and my personal favorite is their chicken vindaloo
The food is really really great. The chicken tikka, naan, shorba, etc. Ive honestly never had a bad meal here. The prices are fair and the service is always solid as well. Check it out.
I had the paneer tika masala with garlic naan and it was to die for. Highly recommended. Try it!!!
Best Indian food I have had in the Cincinnati area...
The detail in the cooking is exquisite. The flavors are full bodied and captivating. The rice is especially selected, each grain cooked to perfection and serves as the base ingredient for the entrees. The ambience and decor highlighting Indian cavalry regiments is a wonderful personal touch.
Food was good. Ordered Afghan chicken wrap. My friend ordered chicken 65 wrap. It was extremely spicy ( hot). Expensive.
I had a wonderful experience with my family. The food was delicious
Excellent food in a great atmosphere. One of the best local Indian places I've been to.
Most disappointing food experience I've had in awhile. Watery, flavorless sauce and the curry tasted pretty much exactly like the vindaloo sauce. Fairly certain it was the same sauce. Just overly spiced to make up for the lack of flavor. Portion size was terrible, naan tasted like it was 3 days old, rubbery, hard, and stale and was microwaved shortly before giving it to us. We received no rice despite asking for extra and being charged $3 for it. The meat itself was actually cooked fairly well, despite the poor quality of pretty much everything else. Almost $50 down the drain. Will not be ordering anything from there again. Do not recommend.
Excellent food, friendly staff, best garlic naan I've had. Great experience!
Good food, a friendly and warm environment, and lots of options to choose from. I recommend the Taj Mahal beer to anyone looking for something a little different to go with their meal. The chicken curry, however, is different from what I've experienced at other Indian restaurants, so be prepared for that.
Very good. This had the best chicken Tikka marsala I've every had
Nothing here tasted like Indian food. Bad service, terrible food, and everything was overpriced. Will never go back
Very expensive place 18% service charge and ask for raw onions 3 or 4 peace charge 4 dollars for raw onion and food was not tasty at all dont recommended at all
Went in for a date night and had the best experience ever! Best Briyani ever! Spectacular food and amazing service! Thank you so much!
Nothing like what the reviews indicated. Could be much better. Good for ambiance. Plain food. Mango lassi was better though.
Authentic food with unique chef spins. Ambience is great. Great addition to the west Chester area.
This restaurant is a hidden gem! I can't believe we've been in the area for 2.5 years and we just found it. I'm over that way all the time and never knew that it was there. Perhaps a sign closer to Cin-Day road may bring more customers. Nice atmosphere and the food was the best Indian food I've had. We had Chicken Saag. It was flavorful and spicy like we like it. We asked for a level 8 on the 1-10 scale and it didn't disappoint. We will return and I will recommend it for sure.
Foods is amazing
Large menu with lots of veggie options. Can order each dish with a level of spice from 1 to 10. My max is 6, 3 had no spice that I could tell, and I've never seen anyone order more than an 8.
Friendly staff and amazing high quality food
First time’s charm. Great saag paneer and chicken tikka masala.
This is some of the freshest Indian food you can get, short of having a homemade meal. The food is so fresh and tasty, and the service is always wonderful.
Excellent as always
My husband and I had dinner here recently and it was phenomenal. We cannot stop talking about it! This was our first time at indian spice train. Kudos to the owner and the rest of the staff for providing us with not only an absolutely delicious and authentic meal, but fantastic service as well. We will most definitely be back soon!
I'm a big lover of Indian food, and this restaurant is definitely the best I've been to so far. I've probably been here around 10 times and every single experience has been great.
The food was awesome. I felt like I was eating food in India. The perfect taste of India!
Ordered spice of 3 but waitress wrote the three as an 8. Could not eat the food! When they realized mistake, they gave us dessert, but that wasn't enough considering we for charged full price for two entress we could not eat because of their mistake. Will not be visiting this place again.
