Food is great!! Staff is very friendly. Eat here almost once a week.
The guy taken our order was sort of pushy and rushed us ordering with no one in line behind us. The food was ok. I only went for a second time because I went with someone else.
Loved the food. Visit this place for Lunch 2-3 days every week. The owner is amazing and very courteous. The food is very delicious. If you want something which is not on the menu, ask the cashier, S/he will try to accommodate the request.
The restaurant is very clean and well kept. Food is delicious as well. Definitely will be coming back here soon.
I crave one thing pretty regularly. Authentic and delicious Indian food. I live in a food capital of the world (South Florida) and have yet to find a place I like as much as this place. The food is amazing, the service is great, and Jason is the BEST. He always wants to know what they can do better (in my book, they are the best , so I never have much to offer when he asks). The name says it all... FRESH AMAZING INDIAN FOOD.
I thought it was good. My Indian friends thought it was above par. The owner came to our table several times to make sure it was good. That pushed it to 5 stars for me. I will be back.
Warm friendly staff combined with truly tasty food that came at a more than affordable price. I asked them to pick a "spicy chicken" dish for me - curry chicken in a tomato sauce with rice and naan was their call...fabulous!
We love Fresh Indian Grill, maybe too much. We go 3-4 times a month. The employees are great and will explain or tell about any of the menu items. Portion size is just right and I haven't had a bad item yet. The only complaint so far is the spice level isn't always consistent.
I used to absolutely LOVE this place a couple of years ago. However, the food kept getting blander and blander. Even the tea was more and more watered down. I really hoped it would turn around. Their Naan bread is still good, but saag paneer and tikki masala are not very tasty, especially for the price. Maybe I'll try next year again.
Good food, great value. Definitely a repeat customer when in the area
I usually am not a big fan of Indian food, but the food is amazing, fresh, and delicious. I have been back many times and tried most things, and everything is delicious. Service is also fantastic. Even my Indian friends rave about the food quality. This is one of my new favorite restaurants.
Very attentive and friendly staff. Nice portions and very tasty. Quick service and fair prices. Would definitely recommend.
A decent place for indian (north) food. Food is good, place is nice. Lil bit over priced.
Worst Indian restaurant.. no customer service.. ordered naans and was told 10 mins to pick up.. still after waiting 40 mins, I picked my phone to write this review. Places like these should volunteering close. I would rate this zero star if the option was available. The only reason I come here at this place is due to convince and limited desi options around.
Love their samosa chat. chicken tikka is amazing too. Very clean and food is real tasty.
I had goat curry with rice at lunch was good. Its a simple place good food and if you don’t eat very spicy do not go for hot as it is really really hot. I once tried biryani but did not like that much.
You have to eat here. Even if you don't think you like Indian food, they will make you rethink that. The food tastes amazing, and the spiced tea is the best tea I've had. Everyone there was so nice, but Raj was the best!
So healthy and Delicious Food and they are so friendly
Great food for a great price... Must try
It’s not really an authentic Indian food, It tasted like Americanised, I am not a big fan of Amber India Restaurant, but compared to Fresh India grill, Amber does better. I asked for the spicy chicken dish and they suggested me to go with chicken vindaloo, it wasn’t spicy, it was more tangy.
Very friendly staff and delicious and quick food. The sweet tea and lamb dishes are my favorite.
Good place, Tastewise not that great. Rice always is hard and oily
Sorry I'm huge Indian fan and this place lacks authentic flavor. And they try to copy Chipotle or fast food joints but I don't think it's working as it should be. Meaning! food are not warm all the time. And they miss bringing your plates if you order many ...etc they definitely need reorganize their game plan.
Relatively new Indian restaurant with nice choices. The hosts came across as grumpy. I the Chicken Masala, which was well prepared. Seating and parking always available, normally no wait.
Been waiting for this place to open! Great food. I had goat curry (on the bone). Freshly prepared. Amazing tea. Nice change from Amber Indian (which is great - it's just nice having a choice now in Carmel) I'll be back!
This place has the best Indian food! The restaurant is very clean and the owner of the restaurant really cares about the food he puts out. My fiancé and I loved it so much that we have made it our regular date night spot. Everyone in Carmel has to try this place!
Always great quality and tasting food!! Fantastic service and environment. The food is FRESH like the name suggest!
Delicious, fresh food - fast. I like my curry mild, and they got it perfect!
One of the best Indian restaurants in Southern Indiana. Beautiful ambience, fresh food and good service. All the things we ordered were tasty and came pretty quickly. Only point of improvement would be if they can increase choice of vegetarian dishes on their main course menu, that will make it a 5/5 restaurant.
Excellent ambiance...Friendly service...
First visit and was amazing
The service was not good. The service men was arguing with us for the food we ordered. The menu displayed something else and we got something else. Bad experience! We ordered Raj kachori and they gave Dahi puri which taste bad!
Nice little place to have Indian Chats
Eat here at least once a week. Food tastes great and fresh. If you like spicy foods, they will accomodate. My favorite is the chicken kabob meal.
This restaurant uses Charmin in the bathroom, very clean, which is a sign that they care about cleanliness and quality. They food was the best Indian food we’ve had so far. Tiki marsala was outstanding. The owner and and some of the “family” came to visit while and eager to please. Will definitely drive the 30 minutes again to come.
Frendly people with great fresh food.
This is our new regular place. First time and it was incredible. Best customer service in the area. Hands down. The owner not only gave us suggestions, but he took the time to explain to us the mission of his business, accept criticism (which we did not have because the food was incredible), and detail for us where the food comes from and what the kitchen believes to be the freshest way to cook and keep food. No preservatives, no taste enhancers, little salt or oil. Just really good, CLEAN, and fresh food. Also, their tea is the best I've ever had. Even if you're not hungry, but you're just thirsty, it's worth taking the time to experience the atmosphere, the incredible customer service, and the best sweet tea in the area. 10 out of 5 stars.
Have ordered from here a couple of times. Food is always delicious and satisfying.
Fresh Indian Grill is one of my favorite restaurants in the area. The food is always hot and fresh -- the curries are delicious. My wife and are obsessed with the chicken korma. The folks working here are always friendly as well. Five stars all the way.
Decent food, just takes forever to make.
Very clean and great ambiance. Good change from the typical Indian restaurant feel. The owners have broken the stereotype with this one and have paid attention to little details. The staff is super friendly and make sure that you love your meal if you don't they suggest a change and its on the house. Great food could add a couple of more dishes to their menu. kathi rolls would be a great addition.
Solid portions, high quality, and fast. Plus, the employees are all incredibly nice! What's not to love? I come here way too often, and I'm never disappointed!
We found our new Favourite Indian Restaurant! Their food is unlike any restaurant we've tried in the Greater Indianapolis area. Their spices, Ingredients and techniques are so fresh you can tell it is made to order. As a vegetarian, they have a lot of veg options to satisfy my dietary restrictions. Save room for dessert because their kheer is something I've never tasted before. It is perfect
Food was great and so was my mango lassi
Casual dining. Very nice, clean, modern facility. Ordering is done at the counter fast food style. Slightly over priced. If you dine in you will be prompted to tip despite everything being self service except the food being brought to your table.
Very good. Fresh and tasty.
Best Indian restaurant in the metro area, puts other Indian restaurants to shame. No comparison.
My wife and I got this to go, amazing flavors she had the chicken curry and I got the chicken makhni and the butter naan. It was all very tasty and we will definitely be good back.
We love the food here. Truly fresh and unique. Curry is my favorite here and my wife loves the koorma. Naan is slightly crispy and fantastic. Even the tea is outstanding. Sometimes enough to share or take home if you can resist the urge. Can't go wrong here.
Delicious food, great service!
Too pricey for fast food. $15 for one person.
This is probably closer to 4 stars, but I am rounding up because it is nice to have an option like this. It is casual, reasonably priced, and something different. Not burgers, pizza, or Mexican. My dish wasn't as flavorful as I would like, but it was good. I want to return and try something different for sure.
So cool, they should open one in Indy near IUPUI or in Bloomington IU campus. They promise fast Indian food and execute just that! Everything on the menu is labeled very clearly which I appreciate very much. Overall lovely experience.
I'm not being hyperbolic when I say that I had the best Indian food I've had in a long long time at fresh India grill. It's funny because I've lived all over the country and didn't think I would say this about a restaurant in Carmel, Indiana. But such is life! Great food, great people who make you feel at home and are very friendly and accommodating. I will be back!!
Food is good but quantity is a little less
Never had Indian food before... Was nice surprise... I think I like it !!
Made to order, extremely flavorful Indian food.
This was my first time eating here. Not a good first impression. Very rude staff that wouldn't take a few minutes to answer any questions, but instead just kept asking what you want, what you want. The kebab was barely cooked, and definitely didn't have the marks of a tandoori oven on it. The chicken was done all the way through, but quite chewy. The rice was definitely overcooked, almost mushy. The side of ice cold cream of tomato soup, oh wait sorry, that was supposed to be masala, was overpriced and no better than a Cambell's can of creamy tomato soup with added onions. I will not be back. Overpriced, poor quality. Many other better Indian restaurants around the north side of Indy, not to mention all around Indy proper.
First timers. My wife and I both enjoyed our meals and plan to return. Very delicious food.
Wonderful food, prepared fresh to order and highly customizable, if you simply ask. Owners make you feel like royalty and love to share knowledge of their recipes. Skip the soda and get the deliciously spiced iced tea. We've been here three times (edit: now up to three dozen!) and love Fresh Indian Grill more with each visit.
Fantastic flavors. Quick service. Reasonable prices. What more could you ask for?
The food has always been fresh and hot, and they are willing to humbly accept their mistakes. We look forward to the times when we can go here.
Really poor quality food. Not worth calling as Indian food. Poor service to top it off. Would not recommend at all.
Good food. Have eaten here several times. Love the Chili Chicken wrap. Kiddos always like the Chicken Tigers
Amazing food and amazing service I recommend this place to anyone looking for great Indian food!
Best tea in the city. The owner and staff are all super friendly and great people as well. Food is delicious but a little on the pricey side.
Always made fresh! Jashwat is so amazing and conscious of food allergies
Very good food, service and very clean place! Definitely going back
Excellent food and excellent service. I ate there for the first time today and will definitely go back the next time I'm in town.
Super expensive for what it is - paper plate and plastic fork style fast food. Super packed and hard to find a place to sit. The food didn't stun me but it was good enough. Portion size was alright. My first time in this area and I got snippy attitude for taking a moment to look at their menu before ordering because they're understaffed and the line was to the door. So get in and get out kind of feeling... Not for that price.
This place is amazing. The restaurant is always very clean. The food is the best Indian food I’ve ever had. Everything is made fresh right when you order it. The staff is super friendly and professional. The chai tea is so delicious. The owner is very humble and friendly. I definitely give this place five stars and I highly recommend it.
Man oh man! I love this restaurant, the service is amazing and welcoming. They always make sure I'm comfortable and help me exercise my adventurous appetite. Definitely deserves five stars for being an easy going restaurant with outstanding food. Keep up the good work guys!
This is an amazing Indian restaurant! If you are unsure if you should try it, don’t hesitate, it’s great. The customer service is really good. If you don’t know what to get, just ask and they will help. Try the iced tea, it has some flavors that I have never had in a tea before. We tried the chili chicken meal and the chicken korma meal and we loved both of them. The garlic naan is a great side with your meal. It is a little bit on the pricey side for lunch, but Carmel needs more restaurants like this one so we can eat more than pizza and burgers all the time.
The service and food is always amazing, they are very willing to help if you’re unsure what items are on their menu. Everything is made fresh to order. I personally have never had a bad experience at Fresh Indian in the many times I’ve gone. They have very good tea as well.
Excellent Indian food served by pleasant friendly people. The best Lamb Rogan Josh I've tasted!
Neither service nor food were good, disappointed!
I ordered from here with high expectations. I ordered 3 dishes and with every dish there was rice on the side. If you wanted to eat the dish alone or with something else other than rice, you had rice pieces in everything and that just ruined everything. Since every dish had rice with it, it decreased the amount of the actual dish itself. Lastly, they gave each dish in this cardboard paper container which is environment friendly, but it opened and spilled since it got squished easily.
This is more of a quick-in-quick-out deli than "grill". Enough selection and the taste is authentic. I've been here once every week for the last 7 weeks. I had curry chicken, curry lamb, and curry goat (with bone) and they all taste great.
Food great, plastic utensils and plates brought score down, but good taste and nice staff.
My family and I went there and their food is absolutely delicious and very polite staff. This is hands down the best Indian restaurant I have been to so far. I would totally recommend it!!! :)
Curry here is great. Mango chutney has lots of flavour. I always get the Chicken Masala as it's my favourite Curry.
Love that each meal is prepared fresh per order!
The food is fantastic, and their tea is incredible. Always really clean, and the staff is great.
Excellent menu and quality of food. Very clean. Fast food atmosphere. Price very good.
Very good. Nice surprise on way north.
Ordered golgappa and chicken wings. Golgappa was ok but the chicken wings were not even close to edible. The chicken wings seemed to be frozen for a couple days and microwaved before serving. Need to be a little careful and sensible in what you are serving to your customers. Trashed the whole thing.
Today was my first experience and I was very impressed. I got the Chicken Tikka Masala and it came with plenty of garlic naan bread. The dish had great flavor but no heat, maybe it’s not supposed to be spicy hot. The restaurant was very clean and the staff was very friendly. They did check on us and offered to spice it but I really didn’t need it. It was a bit pricey but portion was large and I could have easily made two meals out of it.
Had a very bad experience with these guys. The panner Tikka was soggy and I could taste ginger. If you have had real paneer Tikka you know this is an aberation. You can the picture where there is water at the base. Then the biryani was undercooked and the vegetables where huge and not cut properly. The capsicum was really huge. The taste was okay. The guy at the counter cared less about anything and I had to ask for plate twice to get it. The high ratings fooled me will not step in again.
This place is a must if you love Indian food or of you have never had it! I am here for work and decided to try Fresh Indian Grill. The staff is super nice and accommodating. I ordered the Chili Chicken and the Chicken Korma with a garlic naan. Let's start with the Chili Chicken! This chicken is spicy and so full of flavor. If you love heat this is a good one for you! The chicken is succulent and falls apart. The Chicken Korma was a great choice for because after the heat from the Chili Chicken this cooled my mouth down with the intense flavors and creamy sauce. Highly recommend!
We love Fresh Indian Grill! The service is awesome and they are always so polite and inviting. Food is always on point!
Delicious food and attentive staff. Even though it's counter service, they come check on your table and bring you things you need.
The food is excellent and always hot. Prices are a little higher than usual, but the food doesn't disappoint.
Such amazing. Much wow! But seriously, this place has delicious food and great service... It's some of the best Indian food I've ever had.
Nice cozy place for quick bites and complete meal. Location is very good and food is fresh and smells delicious. Staff is humble and polite. Didn't have to wait for food it was very quick. Highly recommend this place.
Delicious food and a bright cheery atmosphere! Overall, it was not only tasty but a refreshing new take on the restaurant serving Indian cuisine. I chose the chicken Vindaloo (a pleasantly spicy option... but they have non spicy choices as well) and it was fresh and full of flavor. Along with that I enjoyed one of their mango lassi (sort of like a mango yoghurt smoothy) and it was also freshly made and oh so tasty (it was a super big hit with the kids lol). Definitely don't pass those up! One other thing that made Fresh Indian Grill unique and a must visit was their iced tea. I just chanced to try it while I was there and was in for a very pleasant surprise... it tasted like an iced masala chai (spiced tea)! It was just the perfect refreshment for the hot day that it was :-) I may be going back just for that tea lol It's definitely unique and a must try. Also... that naan... mmmh ok I'll stop there haha. It's safe to say every aspect of the meal was delicious. To top off the experience, we had the chance to chat briefly with the owner while we were there. His excitement and passion were inspiring and shine through in all the details of Fresh Indian Grill.
Great food at a reasonable price. Always glad to answer your questions. Wonderful service
I heard you can always tell a great Indian restaurant by counting the number people from India that are either eating in or carrying out. A bunch here during my short visit. Yet, as a first time consumer of Indian cuisine, I was made to feel welcome and they helped me make great choices for my family (several of whom are regular carry-outers Indian food.) Highly recommend!
We go here sometimes after work in the late afternoons. I like the food and the prices, the half and full meal options on the menu helps save money. I always get the Paneer Makhani combo that comes with rice and a drink . My husband usually gets Chicken Tikka Masala and each time is consistent. Fresh Indian Grill brought more flavor to Carmel, the food is great ,customer service is fair and so are the prices. Most Indian Restaurants we have gone to , take about 20-35 mins while we wait for our to-go orders. Here, we don't have that long of a wait, plus the owner always to our table and hands us our food. If you like fresh Indian cuisine or maybe trying it for the first time, you'll enjoy this place. The menu isn't over crowded with popular to not popular items and is customer friendly .
Food is fresh made and great. Fast and cheap. Owners are really nice. Garlic naan is killer.
As out of towners we found this on Yelp and really enjoyed it! Great quality take out
Great Tiki Masala
The food tastes good but the proportions and prices are too high. Given how filling most of the menu is, the serving size could be half of what is given. Staff member was unenthusiastic.
I love this place! Nice people, nice food!
This is a solid good and consistent place. Food is tasty and fast - without any sacrifices to fresh or spices.
Food: Being raised in India for most of my life, I have high expectations when it comes to Indian food. I get disappointed by a lot of restaurants on how they lose the authenticity of the cuisine. I was genuinely surprised, not just by the authenticity but the quality of the food. I have been to this restaurant twice and the food has been delicious and fresh every time. It is definitely on of my favorite places to pacify my cravings for Indian food. Service: Very Friendly Staff and Clean premises. PS: Try the Chai
Taste was ok . Not many options for vegetarians.
Was in the area and since I love Indian food I had to try it. I had the masala and it was definitely what I'd expect....didn't try anything else but it was good for sure.
Very authentic. Wonderful owners that care about the customers and want to build relationships. Quick turnaround on food, usually 8-12 minutes. Everything made fresh. Not the greasy stale nonsense from the buffets around town. You feel good when you are done eating, not weighed down and lethargic.
OMG! I love the Garlic Naan. Very good Indian food sooooo yummy.
it's great, and the staff are amaze balls! my mouth just started watering thinking about going here.
Fast, clean, and good chicken korma
Excellent and tasty food best Indian I found in Indianapolis
First time eating Indian food and I’m totally hooked. Very good flavors but not too overwhelming for a traditional American palette. Seriously try this place. It’s good.
Great place for quick grabs and snacks.
Love the food! I had not been a fan of Indian food - only had buffet style previously - but this place has definitely changed my attitude toward it. Fresh tasting and good service.
Fast, inexpensive, and delicious Indian food. They will customize the heat level of their dishes, and everything tasted very fresh. Great location and the owner (I'm assuming he was the owner) couldn't have been more gracious and repeatedly asked for our feedback. We will definitely be back frequently. A very welcome addition to the neighborhood!
Fantastic food at all heat levels. Everything is very fresh and they serve food as individual meals and at good prices. They even make their own ice tea blend.
Very fast serivce. The manager even came out to see if we needed anything. Food was hot and delicious.
I have never been a big fan of Indian cuisine however this place and the staff helped me find something that I would enjoy and I loved it. I have a new found love for Indian food because the staff is so friendly and so helpful. I definitely recommend. They’re a little pricey but if you want good food you got to pay for it.
Stopped here on the road it was really good. Doesn't look like much but prices were cheap and food was delicious.
Really yummy Indian food. I got the chicken tikka masala with garlic naan. The medium spice level was just enough to have a little kick. I didn’t finish and was completely satisfied. The garlic naan was crispy on the bottom and soft in the middle. The fresh herbs on top of the tikka really added a freshness that you don’t expect at a quick serve restaurant.
Food is warm, fresh, and delicious. Full service restaurant quality with the convenience of quick service/take out. Price is a bit higher that my typical work lunch budget, but portions are big enough to share with a friend (as long as they are not famished
We had a fantastic time today! The owner is so friendly and went out of his way to make us feel welcome. The food was quick and fresh and delicious! The kids LOVED the mango lassies and naan pizzas and the iced tea tastes like chai!
The only place in indianapolis with such an amazingly fresh, wide CHAAT menu. Yes, I said Chaat! All the pani Puris, kachoris, and samosas in the restaurant are about to get in my belly. Sorry folks :) Everything truly is fresh and you can taste the difference, but in a delightful way. Along with Chaat, they also have fusion food and traditional good ol paneer/chicken Tikka, etc. One of the cleanest Indian restaurants I've ever set foot in, AND they have the fancy soda machine.
If you are looking for the real taste of Indian cuisine, go elsewhere. The place is just about OK fora quick snack. The dishes are more North Indian and lack the real tang and spice which is so India. Perhaps the spices have been toned down to be more in line with the American palate. The chaat lacked the chatpata-ness and the chhole bhature was passable with the bhature being a total let down. The ambience was nothing to write home about.
Worst experience ever . What I ordered was supposed to be at least warm instead it is utmost cold dish. The quantity and price are incomparable. Horrible!!! I think all they have are one time customers.
Great place for a quick bite of delicious Indian cuisine. Staff is friendly and helpful. Food is very good and quick enough for nice lunch in the middle of the work day or dinner on a busy evening. Absolutely would recommend.
I've eaten here multiple times and the food, atmosphere, and staff have been excellent on all occassions.
When I looked at their menu and saw the prices I was expecting mediocre quality. I was pleasantly surprised. Very good! I will say if you are expecting spicy, ask for it. It's mild if you don't. I will definitely return.
Really good. Prices feel really high for the atmosphere, but don't let that fool you. They could put out tablecloths and candles and you wouldn't question the prices. It's really good Indian food in a casual environment. Highly recommend.
Nice fresh Indian food!
Fast food speed with restaurant quality. The staff was super nice to the kids who don't know much about Indian food. Absolutely recommended!!!!
I eat Chole bhature here regularly. Chole bhature is awesome here. If you want to have some simple food just go for rice and dal it's nice. Though I don't like naan here. They prepare quite thick naans.
Breath of fresh air in a city whos indian food is hit or miss. This one is a massive hit.
Love the food and the iced tea is really special.
Always great food and service. Highly recommended.
This is a cute clean Indian place in Carmel that I tried out. Lots of options like chicken, lamb, naan and rice. Pickup is an option. Good bathrooms, good soda machine, plenty of seating, quick service. Indian desserts available. Highly recommend for a good Indian treat!
This place is amazing everyone. I don't care what anyone says mmmmmmmmm yummy! (#8)
We ordered rajkachori which had a pic on display of how it should be but instead of that, we got dahi puri... when asked server about it, they responded rudely and asked to contact owners if any issue.. never visiting again
They have a great vegan menu. Very friendly and helpful.
The place is clean, but the food that I tried was tasteless.
I’ve gone in there not knowing what I wanted. Having a quick chat the a nice fellow who’s name i do not know and walked out with something thing I’ve never had but end up absolutely loving. If you need an Indian food spot it doesn’t get much better and authentic than the fresh grill!
Excellent food! Fresh is in the name and it's on the plate. Definitely worth the trip from the Westside of Indianapolis
Spicy and fresh! Well done fast Indian food.
Absolutely amazing fast casual Indian restaurant. If you don't know what to try, go with the Chicken Tikka Masala.
Awesome food, awesome ppl, great atmosphere!!
The food was very good, although it felt maybe slightly more expensive than I would expect for a fast casual restaurant. The service was good, although it felt like we were being pushed to order a few times rather than letting us take our time to figure out what we wanted.
Food is great and fast. Just the thing for a change of pace!
Very good food. Large and clean dinning area. Friendly and fast service. New favorite place to eat!
First time for Indian fast food for me. Suprisingly, it was good. It's nor replacing Amber Indian or Hyderabad House, but certainly worth a try.
Take out recommended! Dinning inn is not worth the the headache Can get very loud with kids dinning. Food is great however. Next time take out ! There is also no beer available too
Good food, friendly staff and a bunch of vegetarian and non vegetarian options. Portion size is worth the money. A good option for take out although they have ample seating options.
Great food. My fiancé and I love to go here. We are both from another state and this is the only Indian restaurant she has found here that she likes. The owner Jason is very friendly and personable, he comes across as very passionate about the success of his business and the service the customer receives. Always a very clean place as well.
Nice people and tasty food
Been to a lot of Indian restaurants, this is one of the best in Indy.
Service was excellent and the food came out hot and was delicious. Highly recommend the chicken vindaloo
One of the best Indian food I have tried so far in USA. Amazing service and friendly staff. Highly recommend.
Nice friendly place with good food.
