BBQ NACHO were great,as well as the food
Food always delicious. Staff friendly. A regular stop for me.
Great atmosphere and food!
Traveling through Richmond? Firehouse BBQ and Blues is everything you can imagine. Delicious and savory dishes, from cheesteak subs and nachos to Brunswick stew, ribs and don't forget their delicious chili. The kids loved eating in the real fire house. Perfect for everyone in the family. And checkout the dessert menu.
Great BBQ! My husband and I play music there and the owner Tom is a great guy and waitresses are wonderful! Love the atmosphere as the building is an old firehouse and it's decorated with pictures of music history as pertaining to Richmond, IN where it's located.
Awesome meetung place for friends, great food, great Que
Good food, beer and service. Very friendly staff. Have visited several times, will be back!
Excellent food and a nice quiet setting.
Handicap Accessible . Service dog educated staff. A true gem of a restaurant. Carved out of an ole firehouse. Authentic wood beams, hand painted walls & tables and the art continues. Blues in their name is more than just words. Live blues stage. Live bands and blues singers make the evening more than just a fantastic meal. The Barbeque is outstanding! The selected sauces are amazing. Restaurant is extremely clean, staff is top notch. The way your meal is served will be appreciated by all who love Glass & Iron. Truly historic landmark with live entertainment. Dollars spent at The Firehouse support the local farmers, staff, and small business owners.
Great food service and beer with live music
Fantastic food and service every time.
Rarely do I take the time to do a review. However after eating at the firehouse BBQ I feel I need to share my experience. I ordered the cheese steak, when it arrived it was greasy to the point using a napkin didn't help. The first and only bite I took the cheese was warm however the steak which was a pulled steak like the test of the menu was still cold. After letting the nice waitress know the food was not good and I didn't want to try something else she whisked it away. Yet still charged me for the poorly cooked uneaten food. The grease on the vent was plainly noticeable in the kitchen seems they clean by habit of motion and not to actually clean. This is s place that doesn't understand that you don't need to hide behind sauce and butter rub. If your food is good stand behind it. I do not recommend eating here.
we sat in the NC ar area and we had excellent service, good food, friendly, great atmosphere, great customer service
Great food and fat friendly service.
Great brisket and u always gonna get laid from a waitress either there in the bathroom or u take 1 home every time
So very yummy! Cool Blues Music!
Absolutely delicious pulled pork! The pork and mac & cheese was excellent! The service was fantastic. However, I could only give 4 stars because they don't carry mustard bbq sauce and they don't have fries. Overall a very nice experience in a neat old building that used to be a fire station. They also play live music in the evening, I'm not sure which nights though
Wonderful place for music and food!
Great food, great service, great prices
Great place to eat
The brisket I ordered was excellent, as were the scalloped cabbage and the potatoes - very enjoyable place.
Great service...great food and drinks
We are from Indy and we heard this place was great, we loved it. The menu had a ton of selections and the food was awesome. The atmosphere was great and tons of parking. Highly recommend it.
Black and blue salad was good!
Best brisket around. Great service. Cool atmosphere. Old Firehouse with a lot of original things in it including the fire pole.
Great barbeque food. Great entertainment. Love the tacos!
I had a fantastic meal, and entertainment that was a plus, I would recommend the firehouse to anyone that is hungry cause the portions were plentiful. The service was great, an this place was very clean. In other words, Yes I will return to be catered to an enjoy the evening. Oh yeah the beer was good too, I had one.
Staff was nice and food was alright. No blues music though and BBQ was not that unique.
Cute place. My expectations were higher than what was received. Brisktet was served to me almost diced up. Not all i thought it would be.
Good barbeque place fun. Love the decorations
We visited once before, and decided to celebrate my college graduation with family and friends. Everyone was happy and remarked how delicious all of the food was. The servers ensured all of the orders were correct and worked to make sure our large party was taken care of.
Great food! Took like 5 minutes to get our order.
Great food and atmosphere
Best tacos and fantastic people! Hugs to the bartender!
It's a neat place. Small enough to be quaint and big enough to have some atmosphere. I came in about 6:00pm on a Saturday. A man and his wife were setting up to sing on the stage up front. It was a country/blues type atmosphere. I was sat within 30 seconds of walking through the front door. However, it took 20 minutes for the waitress to even ask about a drink. I felt like the waitress forgot about me a couple of times. It really didnt seem super busy at that time. So, the service wasnt great. The food is smoked BBQ and they have a variety kids menu. Everything comes out dry and there are 3 sauces on the table: sweet, mild and hot. Sides were served in small Mason jars. I got "the sampler". You can get 3 different kinds of meat with the sampler and 2 sides. I got the brisket, ribs and pork with baked beans and cheesy potatoes. The brisket was dry and didnt really have a lot of flavor. I was disappointed because the waitress really talked it up. However, the ribs fell off the bone and the pulled pork was tender. The portion sizes were decent. The cheesy potatoes was like mashed potatoes with cheddar. The baked beans were pretty basic. The sampler was about $25. My Coke was about $2.50. With tax and tip it was about $35. I had leftovers so the value was fair.
I had black and blue salad and ate every bite! We preordered as we only have an hour for lunch food was ready when we walked in the door
Very good food and excellent wait staff.
Great food and music.
Good local food and brews. Fun atmosphere. Nice break from the interstate and easy access. Will stop in again.
Great atmosphere and music and great food.
Never had a bad meal here, there ribs are excellent along with everything else, the one and only thing here I don't like and will not eat are the jalapeno cornbread muffins, I wish they gave you a chouce.
Only been twice but the monster porkchop and the nachos are both really good. Will definately be back. And you should go too!
Excellent. A great find. We will be back.
Excellent venue all around... Saw Lita Ford here baby
Smoked sausage and pulled pork for lunch. Tasty. Good service, food came out quickly too. Great blues music playing.
Great Service. Friendly people and fun atmosphere. And the food is fantastic.!
The Firehouse in Richmond is a great place to eat and experience the Uptown area. Located catty-corner from the Model T museum, and up the street from Ullery's Homemade Ice Cream shop, this restaurant is a great place to start your evening! You must try the tacos; they are a definite favorite!
We went during a busy time, when our poor server was sort of left to flounder when another server took off impromptu. We only knew because we overheard the other server explaining her untimely dilema- BUT- it made no difference in our dining experience. This place was great- I had the portabella mushroom tacos and macaroni & cheese, while my husband had the large sampler platter with the to die for scallopped cabbage (which I ended up ordering a side for myself) , sweet potato casserole & corn cake. We had a ton of food but we ate everything as it was too good not too- And again- I want to stress that our waitress- was on point even under duress- absolutely doll of a girl. Definitely will be back (and did I mention the great decor?) Must do!
Just fair
Great food, even some vegan/vegetarian options that were delicious! The entertainment was great & the server attentive to our group. Definitely recommended hangout!
Great place ..good food
Very nice place and good food
Awesome location and food!
The restaurant has a good atmosphere, service and food.
Great food and good IPA selection. love the use of the old building.
Good food and staff. Nice venue.
Whenever we are in Richmond, we love to stop by. Great food, craft beers, and music!
Stopped in for a 3pm lunch. I ordered the Memphis a d the wife ordered the pulled pork. Her side was cheesy potatoes and I had the scalloped cabbage. We were both happy with the food and we had great service. We also ordered the peanut butter pie. Good stuff.
Great food, great atmosphere, and great people. We always ask for Kim...she is friendly and attentive. They have live music too...at least on weekends. Fun place to visit
Delicious food and such a cool atmosphere. As a prior firefighter it's really cool to see a piece of history preserved and utilized in such a cool manner. The brisket falls apart in your mouth, the potatoes are amazing, and the drinks are cold! This is a must check out place!
just add some chairs or make the waiting area larger besides that the rest is fine
Great atmosphere, but the food could be better.
Good food and environment. Service was very good and we enjoyed our meal. Fair size portions.
Excellent setting, and really good music. I would rate the bbq a 6 out of 10. That's only because I cook my own bbq and am partial to my flavor profile.
Always great food! The atmosphere is awesome as well! Good place to visit if you are from out of town!
Cant say enough great things about this place!
Wonderful kicked back atmosphere and great food.
I had the brisket cheese steak and scalloped cabbage. Both were very good,And the service was good also.Def be back when I'm in the area
Delicious. Very impressed. Pulled pork was delicious. Brisket was lean and so goid.
The ambiance of Firehouse BBQ is the big draw here. The waitress we had was perfect. The drinks were good. The brisket was delicious.
Freaking unbelievable bbq!!! The old firehouse building is very cool, but that would be a waste if the food wasn’t worth a darn. Let me tell you something about the food. You can smell it from up the street and you’ll start drooling as you get closer! The brisket is fantastic, and the sauces will not disappoint!
Not afraid to say best food and environment in town. Nice ppl and very relaxing warm place to eat. It's a have to go place. You won't regret it. Guaranteed
Great food, great service, awesome atmosphere! Will definitely be coming back for more!
Good food n service
Fast service, good food and amazing place.
Good food, great service. Doug Hart band was perfect!
Very good. Our table ordered jalapeno appetizer, brisket, pork chops, pulled pork, sugarcream pie and peanutbutter pie. Everything was excellent. We will be going back and highly recommend this restaurant to others
Great food and very reasonable price. Will deffinitly be back.
We enjoyed Firehouse BBQ! The brisket was very good, the beer and cider were cold and fresh and the live blues were fantastic. Our server was also friendly and attentive. We'll be back!
The food is always amazing.
Great service and atmosphere. And the food is amazing. Our server Jessica was the best.
Great service. Clean. Great side dishes. Love the fact they did not have fries. I loved the decor and atmosphere. There is a lot to look at and read. I gave it two stars because a BBQ joint should know how to make brisket. It did not have any smoke flavor or much flavor at all. It was like eating a bad roast. I believe that is what it was. It is dry. Which should be hard to do since a nice piece of brisket has a good amount of fat. Go for the sides, music, and anything but the brisket.
They have amazing food.
The staff has always been friendly when I’ve gone in. They surprisingly have a vegetarian wrap, that tastes great. Live music and fun atmosphere!
great food and live music. the bbq ribs were absolutely delicious. if you are a vegetarian order a bunch of their sides.
Great place even when there isn't an event going on!
Great enjoyed every bit of it
Good food!!
Love this place. Stopped by for music and drinks, fantastic. Got to get back and hit the menu.
Good barbecue not my favorite place to eat but it's always a good place to eat.
Great, good food and piano!
Really good food!
The ribs were awesome. And the waitress was really nice. Just wish they had a little bit better wine selections
Delicious food, great prices, wonderful waitress. Unique environment. You have to check out the art painted on the outside of the building.
Loves the smokehouse salad and cherry cheesecake! Its to die for
Great food and great staff
Food was good but service was very slow. Historical building was charming
The walls and history are impressive, The BBQ was extremely edible, but not impressive.
We had the brisket dinner and the smoked sausage sandwich stuffed with pork, jalapeño, onion , and cheese - delicious! Cheesy potato side dish was great! Finished with p/nut butter pie -
Cool decor but slow service and average food
Being a ex BBQ restaurant owner has eaten barbecue in 25 different states and five different countries I can only say one thing about this place what they do to the name barbecue should be against the law. It was the science barbecue ribs that I have ever eaten
Service is as good muffin very dry, baked beans were out if a can. Everything was good
This place is a can't miss for food, history and music. It is simply amazing.
Service was good, food was very good but not the best BBQ I've had. Place wasn't the cleanest but not terribly dirty or anything
Food, atmosphere & music all good. I tried the smokehouse sliders app as my entree so I could taste 3 different meats - all 3 were good but pork was my favorite. Others had Tom's Mojo (bbq pork topped with mac n cheese) and the brisket. Cheesy potatoes & mac n cheese are our top sides. Beer is cold too.
I travel for work and it takes me to all these interesting places. I try to avoid the big name restaurants. I like to find the one of a kinds. This place is definitely a one of a kind. I had ordered the smoked pork chop with mac and cheese and beans. The pork chop was hand down amazing. The favor was right, was moist and juicy, and the size was fantastic. In all my travels I have never come across a smoked pork chop that was this good. I've tried at a few others along my path of life and they have always been dry. This one holds the bar high. Thank you Firehouse
Service was very quick and friendly. We received our food in less than 10 minutes from ordering, which normally might be concerning, but we just ordered a pulled pork sandwich and a chicken salad. DELICIOUS! Great music too!
Great food and service!
My favorite place to go for BBQ. I love the Taters.
Service was fantastic! So were the mushrooms. Brisket kills it! #lincolnloveslocal
Fabulous food, service and atmosphere.
What a fun little discovery. The place is well decorated and welcoming. Service was quick to seat us and take our order. The food was fantastic. I enjoyed a stuffed baked potato with brisket. Sides included baked beans and jalapeno cornbread. The entire family was pleased and we will definitely be back for a round 2.
I'm super impressed with this place. I've been around Richmond my whole life and never knew it was SO deep, with SUCH vibrant history abounding, like in this old 1950sish firehouse turned into an eatery & bar. Firehouse BBQ and Blues has the old fire pole, and tons of historical musical facts and pictures hung on the walls. Several tables are made out of old pinball machines! Each wooden table is beautifully decorated with quotes from great songs. The menu is great -- I had no idea Richmond had such an amazing BBQ spot. They have two outdoor patios, and even an indoor stage for live musicians! I asked and they play all different kinds of live music here. I LOVE this place and will definitely be back. Thanks for creating such a relaxing, lovely, and unique dining experience for us right here in good ol' Richmond, Indiana, a town which I literally appreciate more now because of my experience here today! :)
Great food & service. .love this place...
Tom's Mojo is the best sandwich ever
The family enjoyed the food and we got a pay it forward. It was neat. I never had one before. So we payed it forward to a Grandma and her granddaughter.
Good food and really unique decor. Live music by fairly well know performers on a regular basis. Lunch is normally when I've been there and the service is quick and friendly. Probably eaten there 30 times and never been disappointed.
Good food, beer, and music!
Food was great as usual. Very little wait time. Took forever to get checked out as our waitress was so busy.
Loved the food and music I gave it 4 stars for price. Pie was 5 bucks for the smallest piece of cheesecake lol. 2 adults 2 kids 80 bucks!
Great but I believe the bbq is at times rushed. Good sauce!
They did a great job renovating an old fire house for the restaurant. The BBQ is great. A good selection of beer. No wait on the day I was there. Were able to make arrangements for our large group
Was told to stop in and try this place and it was fantastic. I got the brisket tacos they were really good. It was really more food than I expected because they loaded those babies up. Can’t wait to try something else next time!
This is a great place!!! It's an old fire house from way back. The food was great and the service exceptional. We were meeting family that we had never met before. The server was so sweet she took photos for us and with 9 phones.
The ribs are quite literally fall off the bone tender and the pork is popping with flavor. But that brisket is absolutely amazing. I lived in Charlotte for a number of years, from Atlanta to Asheville I've had some BBQ in my time. An the brisket is unmatched!
Housed in a historic fire house, this barbeque restaurant and saloon servers some of the best brisket you'll ever eat. The chicken is moist and tender, the pork is rich and delicious, and, as I said, the brisket is without equal. The staff is friendly, the desserts are unique and delicious. Don't miss this excellent historic dining experience!
Great decor on the inside. I ate in the dining room. Place was empty but loved the brisket. Comes plane and you add the sauce you want! I love it that way. Awesome sweet tea and the the staff was very nice. Would love to come.e back for live music!
My husband's brisket sandwich was barely warm, the pork (served on the side) of my baked potato was cold. I requested only butter for my potato...no sour cream. Later I ask for 1 extra butter for my corn bread muffin. Upon getting our bill, I was charged $.60 twice for the butter...$1.20. I didn't get any sour cream but got charged for the butter! Total RIP OFF!! We'll not go back!!
Very good
Live music and great food-all in historically important actual firehouse!
Friendly staff, clean and very interesting refurbished historic fire house. Food was good
Can't beat a restaurant/bar in an old firehouse! Nice beer selection, great food and service.
Major part of the Depot District. Good food, awesome atmosphere!
The food was great and the staff was friendly. I rented the upstairs for a party and it was really nice and had a lot of space to work with.
Good food, nice atmosphere and nice prompt waitress
Good food and quick, polite service. Music entertainment was also a fun aspect.
I have had a lot of BBQ, this place is for sure a hidden gem! I got Toms Mojo with the cheesy potatoes
Loved the sugar cream pie. Be sure to try it
Good food, good service and wonderful atmosphere!
I like this place... For a while there, I thought they were going country. But the blues came through. The food is great. It's a great place to visit if you're into old firehouses that have become nice eateries.
Great bbq and prices are decent
Great food and atmosphere was nice. Staff was friendly.
Mark Sowers & Laura Sowers were awesome performing tonight. Classic Country & Blues at their best.
The greatest ex firehouse ever. Some of the best bbq and entertainment
Awesome chilli but it a bit cool by the door good time with good friends.
Great food and atmosphere!
Great find! A party of 7 and everyone loved their food. Service was great and music was perfect. Will definitely make the 1½ hr drive back to enjoy this place again.
Great ribs, very tender, good flavor. They are a little stingy on the sauce thow. & the bake beans are very disappointing, looks & taste just like van camps pork n beans.
Can't just find a restaurant like this anywhere. A fantastic rehab of an old firehouse with all the character and flavor you'd hope for in the decor, service and food.
Great food we had the best server she was very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu
Tasty local treat, Average price between 15 to 25 per person. They do have a kids menu. Brisket was amazing as were the sides. The chili is great and so are the cheesy potatoes. Can't go wrong get the Brisket.
The sandwiches and sides are good, but the Cobb salad was awful. Iceberg lettuce, lots of cheap cheese and shredded sandwich meat.ug.
Good food, great live entertainment, historic music area
Food and service were excellent. However bringing my mother (who needs a walker to get around) was difficult navigating, esp. Getting over the gigantic hump at the door.
Love the food wait staff is fantastic always enjoyed going to Firehouse
Lovely place. Service was the worst. 15 minutes for a cup of coffee and than had to walk inside to ask for sugar and creamer. 40 minutes for food and when asked why it was taking so long and the waitress got crappy with us and made excuses of why it was taking so long. Do not come here if you are on a time line for lunch. They only have two servers that work three large areas and the patio during lunch hours. Will see how much longer to make a salad. Will be speaking to the on duty manger about the service.
Atmosphere staff & food all A++. A true asset to Richmond & all of Wayne county.
Totally awesome as always
