Great breakfast. Friendly staff. I had French toast, cheese eggs with pepperjack and bacon. The syrup was warm and the toast was served with a nice dollop of butter. Just needs a decor upgrade to top off the meal.

I drive a charter bus. I'm all over the country and every city I come to I look for good down home cooking. Dale's is by far one of best I've been to. I ordered fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy and green beans. Deeeelicious!!! If you're ever in Indianapolis, Indiana do yourself a huge favor..stop by Dale's.

I got the Cajun patty melt and it was amazing. The ground beef was tender flavorful and moist. They put provolone and swiss so it's super cheesy. It has a sweet heat sauce which go great with it and they put on garlic Texas toast. Best patty melt I ever had!

I took a friend there because you have real tenderloins. The breading was a little blan this time. The chips were nice and crisp with just a touch of what seemed like lemon pepper. Very filling and much better than a fritter any day of the week.

We go here often for breakfast and the food is offered at a great price point. Early one Monday morning (thanks for being open at 630am), I went in before work to grab a piece of pie for a coworker's birthday. They offered to make french toast to go and even added a candle. They also offered coffees on the house. The new management is doing a fantastic job and continues to put customer satisfaction first.

Brought us dirty straws for our drinks. Never got our Pepsi. The wings tasted like they were reheated after cooked the prior day, very dry. Ordered a medium steak, got given a very well done steak. Don't bother, the wait staff doesn't care and it seems like neither do the cooks.

This place is packed for Sunday Easter Brunch. Expect about $15 dollars per person for the Buffet which is decent. They are a very Family Friendly restaurant. The Mac and Cheese was very good, and the Green beans was hot.

My husband ordered the double burger and it tasted fresh and stacked close to 5 inches tall with bun! Everything was delicious and priced right! Definitely going back! Also the interior was fab!! Rustic warehouse setting with antique tools decorating the walls! Loved everything about it!

Absolutely wonderful food...I had friend popcorn shrimp which were excellent. French fries tasted great. Another in my party had the chicken and dumplings which were out of this world. Another had friend catfish and mashed potatoes and gravy. Both of which made me wish I could have an order of those as well. Cannot tell you enough how great the food is. The service was quick and efficient and quite friendly and pricing is very reasonable on the food. I am happy we stopped here to eat and highly recommend you try it

We are from Nashville, TN and found Dale’s while in Indy for a Colts game. Wow! The service, the quality of food and price could not be beat. I ordered the beef Manhatten and my partner had the prime rib. Both of us were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food. We could not finish our meals they were such large servings. We plan to return to Dale’s on our next visit to Indy!

Nothing to write home about, a little run down....actually, pretty run down. But, the food was great, I did enjoy this place. Quick friendly service with food to match any appetite. However, it is nothing more than a small town diner and deserves 3 stars, if a remodel was accomplished they could easily approach the four star mark without even trying. Edit: 9 Aug 18: In response to the owners, I see this type of response quite frequently; a three star rating is not BAD. It is average, if you would like to obtain a higher overall rating, you have to hit all marks. Appearance, inside and out, quality of not only food, but the tables/chairs/ceilings/bathroom/flooring/etc... I am not some big shot reviewer, or anything like that. But four and five stars are reserved for the exceptionally best of the best. Your restaurant could easily be a four star diner, but when I sit there waiting for my food, and look around at an obviously aging diner, I wonder, why hasn't the profits been placed into upkeep? Nothing wrong with nostalgia, but seriously. Paint, ceiling, flooring, tables and chairs, updating and replacing these are not going to bankrupt your establishment and can be done fairly quickly, and would pay off in the near future as people begin to return not only for the quality of food, but for the quality of the overall experience. I am excited to see where it goes with new owners, but you need to focus on more than just the quality of food. That of course is number one, but if you really want to make a lasting impression, you also need a quality experience from start to finish, not just from the food on the plate.

Even when I got to go food which usually is pretty average when u get it.home and get time to eat...but my to go from Dale's was perfect..this little spot is it for me..not.going to keep wasting my money anywhere else. I have had chili...perfect I had county fried steak with mac n cheese and mashed potatoes..OMG THE BEST But my favorite so far is the Spaghetti..I am usually picky about spaghetti so i dont order it often from resturants (my mother in law makes hers from scratch so its hard to compare) but this is the best I have ever had out. Trust me you wont be disappointed...I am going to try a few more menu items..they have a breakfast bar as.well that I think might be good...if I could get up early enough.

Went here for brunch. The food was alright. The portion sizes were large, coffee was smooth, and service was excellent. I was surprised to see they brought our non-dairy creamers for the coffee. My boss and I went there for lunch. We were the only people patiently waiting to be seated (they had open tables throughout the restaurant). After 20 minutes of watching every employee avoid us, I respectfully asked if we would be able to get lunch and that we only have an hour break. The response was "We have a lot going on". No answer to my question, just a server with attitude. I would have willingly waited a little longer for food if you had just sat me at one of your 5 open tables instead of making me stand there with no information on when we would be able to get 1 of your 5 open tables. I've heard you have really good food. It's a shame you are unable to serve it.

My girl and I had a fantastic meal here. It was pretty busy, and the food arrived quickly. All my food was clearly hand-made, and the fried chicken, while the white meat was a tad dry, was absolutely delicious! Some places in Indianapolis have a strange way of making sure you understand that you are not welcome in their space. Be mindful of the polite smiles and make sure to count your change. Decent food on the breakfast buffet.
