first time here. place was very busy being a Saturday night but we has rsvp. extra friendly staff. knowledge. lightning a little dark when reading menu's but our cell phone solved that issue. very enjoyable evening.

The Capri has a comfortable and timeless dining environment and they provide a traditional Italian menu. The house made gnocchi and chicken piccata were excellent. Always great quality food and exceptional service! Visited on a cold day during lunch and the fireplace didn't have a fire so it was a bit cold but other than that, everything was excellent, as always.

Garbage / Junk ....pricey slop. Everything from the appetizers down to the dessert. I asked my waitress to recommend something to me. I never even looked to see the price, expecting it to be amazing. My noodles were from Walmart. Mussels were tiny. No flavor. My Cesar Salad was bland, absolutely zero flavor. I had the Cannoli and there was orange flavoring in it. Gross! I read other peoples reviews but the reservations were already made. We went as a party of 8. The ambiance is nice, the wait staff is nice. But the food is worth $10 a plate. Maybe less. Olive Garden would have been better then this place.

WOW!!! From start to finish, this place was amazing. Atmosphere is great. Very homey and relaxing. Started with a potato soup that was very well done. Went on to the spaghetti bolognese. Best I have had. Then it was time for a fat man’s delight... tiramisu. One of the best deserts I have had. Would I recommend this place? No. I want to keep it as my secret. Seriously, without a doubt, I will tell many people about Capri.

Mediocre food; nothing very flavorful. Veggies overcooked. Stuffed pepper and chicken lasagna tasteless; tomato sauce bland. Food tasted as if prepared; didn't seem made to order.

Capri is a little known gem for people who love original and creative food. Come every day and be happy with every bite or come once a month to see what's new on the menu. Whether you want a consistently solid meal or a surprise, this is the place. Seems like a strip mall joint couldn't deliver but they do time and again. Wait staff is way beyond what you'd expect. Excellent. If you are in the area and want a great meal without the drama of a foodie hotspot, this is what you need.

The food here was great. It's fairly authentic tasting Italian. The gnocchi is fantastic and so is the calamari. The atmosphere is nice but catering to a particular crowd; it's not very laid back, if that's what you're looking for.

Oh, if you've not treated yourself to this Indianapolis institution, then you've failed yourself. Hahaha, it's time to change that. Immediate. I couldn't recommend this restaurant more strongly. Everything we had was outstanding, but the tiramisu KNOCKED OUR SOCKS OFF!!

Went here for a lunch seminar. The place was very nice. We were served a salad and beverage. The main course was buffet style and was very good. I am not sure what the desert was but it was amazing. The staff that served us was some of the best.

Melon & prosciutto was awful. The melon was crunchy with little flavor. In August a good restaurant should be able to have wonderful melon. The prosciutto was cut too thick and obviously had not been freshly sliced. A good Italian restaurant freshly slices prosciutto as needed for an order. We were told the pork chop was the best item on the menu. It was tasty, but small with a lot of fat. The vegetables tasted like they had been sitting on a steam table. The pancetta was fatty not crisp. The dish was disappointing. Ambrosia on College Ave is so much better.

Awesome service ( Steve ) , excellent food value, we had a chicken dish and a veal/Italian sausage dish. We were not disappointed! I have been to numerous Italian restaurants over the last 15 years. Could not believe I've never been to Capri. Great food, ambiance and service. I would highly recommend early reservations to secure Capri's outdoor seating. No traffic, no fumes. This place is tucked away in it's own little corner of a very commercial area.

They were very kind and very accommodating. The food was authentic. The main entrees don't come with salads and there was no garlic bread. As far as alcohol they have wine and hard liquor available, but no mixed drinks that require a bender. I really liked the fried calamari. Overall, my guests were happy they tried somewhere new.

Been going here for years, but it had been a while. Great atmosphere in both bar and dining area. I had never ordered the smoked chicken lasagna - always thought lasagna should be made with Italian sausage. Decided to give it a try, and it was outstanding. Kitchen was a little backed up and service a little slow, but everything at our table looked great.

Excellent service and the gnocchi were light and delicious. The atmosphere was great, white linen tablecloths, and soft music, dim lighting. The menu reads like a food lover's dream and the dishes are as good as their descriptions. Dining in the classical style. We highly recommend Capri.

I would whole heartily recommend Capri for a quiet dinner for two or a group of friends or a group of 100. We have dined at Capri a lot over several years. We have also used them for four private parties, the largest was around 100 guests. We have never been disappointed. The food is great and the staff and management are exceptional! Much to everyone's surprise the buffet style food is just as good as off the menu. They have a wonderful outdoor dining area, two dining rooms and large private rooms.

Food was great, however, they do have a problem with the fireplace. With a sign at the door that it is a non-smoking facility, the fireplace does not have a proper draft to prevent an unhealthy environment. Even our waiter who has worked there for twelve years questioned if that was the reason for his nasal issues. I love a fireplace and the food; I've just had a difficult day health wise since having dinner there last night. Dr. Hickman

Not good. For the price of $20 per dish you would expect better flavors and fresh tasting food but this place does not offer that in my opinion. My dish which was a Chefs special was bland. Would not come here again.

I'm going to be perfectly honest, it wasn't great. I'm very much italian and i used to love the restaurant because it tasted like the food my family makes. But going again recently I'm not sure what changed. The eggplant parmesan i ordered had definitely been defrosted, the cheese was tough and the sauce was so watery and flavorless. The veal picatta i ordered was good but the gnocci my boyfriend got were sour and made him really sick.

What an amazing place! The service was exceptional and the food was exquisite! Prices are higher than your average chain restaurant but the portions are plentiful! Our family has a great college graduation dinner at Capri. The food is simply amazing. Appetizers were plentiful and large portions to share with a large group of 12. We had two children 7 and 4 with us and they ate all that they were served including desert. They loved the food. I don't think I have ever seen them eat such a larger bowl of pasta like this before, amazing! Everyone enjoyed the meal, so flavorful just delightful. Andrew was a tremendous server, be certain to ask for him. You cannot go wrong with dinner here at Capri. Worth the price as the value and value added was superior. Soft music played in the background so you could carry on a conversation over the spance of our long table. Very delightful atmosphere with superior cuisine and great service. Yes 'The Best'!

I have been a Patron of Capri's for many years. I was so disappointed Saturday evening. We were a party of eight celebrating my husband's 70th birthday. His chicken lasagna was lukewarm, undercooked, with very little sauce. My console with red sauce was awful, clams were burnt. My friends ravioli was lukewarm. The spaghetti and meatballs were dry. A lot of money for poor food. We miss the old Capri with Arturo

Took our first visit to Capri during the Devour Indy event. Great value compared to the offerings of other restaurants. We had late reservations on a Thursday night and were one of the last ones out. Food was prepared fresh as if we were the first customers of the day. Atmosphere and customer service were very good and normal menu selections are very good (the Devour Indy event menu is limited).

Phenomenal! We decided to have a late dinner on Mother's Day. My family and I knew it would be a busier evening so I was hesitant to call and try and make a reservation, having worked in the restaurant industry prior. Sladan, the GM, took the reservation and was very professional and polite on the phone. When we arrived, a hostess named Lora greeted us with a smile. I watched as she cleared off a table that had been used just prior. She cleaned, reset, and organized the table for us very quickly. While we watched and waited, several other members of the staff greeted my family and I, ensuring that we had been taken care of and were set for dinner. They all said Happy Mother's Day as well. Dinner service was perfect. Drinks arrived promptly, all courses arrived rather quickly and hot, and our service was excellent. We never waited for a single item. We were 1st time diners mind you, so everything that was recommended, was on point and tasted great. Sladan hugged the ladies in my family and shook all of our hands on the way out. We said thank you to him, his staff, and Lora, the gal who greeted us in the beginning. I highly recommend Capri for any and everyone. We enjoyed ourselves throughout. A+. That's how service is supposed to be.

This place is fantastic. I have done large parties with 20 people, my family with kids, and just date nights with 2-4 people. The bar is great (especially in the winter with the wood burning fore going) for dinner or drinks. The food is spectacular. I've yet to have a bad meal and have had them create off menu items for appetizers or dinner. It is a must try

It was okay, but nothing amazing by any means. They have a very limited menu and their red sauce doesn't taste much better than Oliven Garden. Unless you need a private place for a special gathering, I'd go anywhere else for Italian.
