Well, here’s the thing, walking into the place the food looked fantastic! However, the reality was far from it. After waiting forty-five minutes for our food to be served, they completely forgot our sides even after we reminded them of the fact. While the rest of the restaurant was somewhat busy, the bar wasn’t, yet the Bartender ignored us for the most part. It took another twenty minutes for them to bring our checks. As far as what we order, see the attached picture. Overall, fairly disappointing experience.

Another gem in Indy that you will want to try. I ordered the Homecoming and have never had bacon that thick on a burger before. This is one of the best burgers I have ever had - tasty and juicy. Truly decadent. Service was friendly and efficient. Could not have asked for a better experience!

I've only been here twice and yesterday was my second and last time. The first time was ok.I briefly dined in and my waiter was nice. The second time I ordered the Semester at sea with house chips and my order wasn't worth $22. Burger had a good smell, but not much flavor. I ended up wasting some of it. Reservations are not necessary, even though they're supposed to be fine dining, they're not that busy. l just asked if there was any talk of a second location and I see why the Fishers location failed to happen. The location they have now isn't all what it's cracked up to be. You can get better burgers at the downtown Five Guys.

Pleasant to be able to share beef sourcing with another local famous restaurant but the burgers lack TRUE creativity. They're so close to being outstanding but they have a mediocre presentation and taste, the beef notwithstanding. Service is excellent here as well, definitely worth a try if you're a burger fan.

A reservation is a MUST. Because they probably do get faster seating. I, my son and his friend went there from gencon at 5. Was told there was a 5-8 min wait. Was asked for my cell #. The hostess would text me. I waited patiently for a text. 40 mins later went back to the hostess who claimed she tried calling me. (I got no such calls or texts and i was sitting near the bar area.) Shame on me for not being that guy who nags about the wait time. I should have less patience. I guess. Otherwise good burgers. Sure.

For Gen Con 2019 these guys made a "stranger things" themed burger. It was two small patties American cheese, peanut butter, and blackberry jam sandwiched between two eggo waffles. This was definitely the strangest thing I have eaten in a while but it was really good too! I would be tempted to try it again. Thanks for being kind to and getting into the spirit of Gen Con.

Burger Study was outstanding. I was in town for GenCon and I had been looking forward to the Stranger Things burger for quite awhile. The food was delicious and I was impressed with the quality of the meat. The atmosphere was great and the staff was so friendly. I highly recommend a visit and I know that I will be back.

If you're looking for a good meal downtown in Indianapolis, this is a great place. The atmosphere is very friendly, and the staff is excellent. They not only have a fantastic menu, but they have vegetarian burger options. Their veggie burger other wise known as their "Ivy league" burger, is a delicious and a great vegetarian find. It's a great spot for a nice family dinner, a romantic date, or just a good place to stop and grab lunch and chat with the friendly servers.

The manager later came out and confirmed everything and assured me all my food will be prepared separately. When the food was done it came on a different tray and it was delicious. thank you!

I love the Semester at Sea (tuna) burger here! Start the meal with an appetizer like the Shishito peppers and end with the heavenly bourbon milkshake and you've experienced one of my favorite meals in Indianapolis. The experience is pricey but worth it once in a while, in my opinion.

Nice little find on Georgia st downtown. Fried Avocado definitely different, the ranch sauce set it off. Mac & cheese is ok , potato salad is refreshing and understated as it does not have a heavy mayo base. Tasty stuff. We tried the chicken tenders and they were delightful. Lighty breaded, moist inside. Nice change from the deep fried hard tenders. The burgers come nicely sized and are charbroiled. Good taste but for medium well it was overcooked on the outside. Prices are moderate to high but over all a good experience. It was our 1st time so we will return and see if things may have improved

This burger was amazing! I had the homecoming and oh wow! Perfectly cooked, the bacon was amazing. I am so glad I yelped this place. This was one of my best meals while eating here. Service was top notch. There weren't many people in the restaurant so the busy bartender was waiting my table and he was great. Definitely knew the menu and helped me choose a great burger. If you are in the area, I highly recommend this place. Great burgers!

Worst service ever! They took forever just to get us plates for our shrimp cocktail. Plates and glasses were very dirty. It took them over an hour to bring us our food. The place was not busy at all so they didn’t have an excuse. When they finally brought us our food, my hamburger tasted terrible. I asked them to take it back. Then the manger came around and tried to tell me it was because prime beef taste different. I have eaten here three times before and ate the same hamburger. The fact is the hamburger was bad. He did take that hamburger off the receipt. Which of course he should have because I didn’t eat it. So after 2 hours for dinner all I was able to eat was the French fries. Worst experience at a restaurant in Indy. Very sad. As this restaurant has great potential. We will probably never eat here again and I will not recommend it to anyone.

Looking for a nice sit down burger that is not made by a franchise, but instead a restaurant group, Burger Study is worth the stop. A wide variety of styles of burger and vegetarian options too. Very close to the convention center and very reasonable.

Really mixed on this one and I hate to say it. Went last week for the first time during lunch. Had the special Colts burger and it was terrific! Asked for Medium Rare and they hit it right on the money! Very juicy and the flavors were on the perfect. Flash forward to the second visit tonight for dinner and it was not great... ordered the prime burger expecting it to be well worth the 19 bucks. Sadly, it was not worth 6. Again, asked for medium rare. I got well done. The flavors were good but I could have enjoyed a better burger at home. So, 5 stars on visit 1 and then zero on visit 2 averages to 3 stars. Sorry but something was off tonight.

Good atmosphere. We've been here a couple times and the service has always been really good. They have the famous shrimp cocktail from St. Elmo's here also! The beer cheese tots are also really good. Finish with the bourbon salted carmel shake. :) The deduction of 1 star is for the lack of an included side. The burgers are good, but at the price they are already at, they should include the potato side. I understand an upcharge to one of the premium sides.

It's odd - the waitstaff's attire and the design of the place screams upscale steak house, but it's anything but. Obviously much less raucous than Kuma's in Chicago but definitely worth the money you spend on the food. Waitstaff actually couldn't be more attentive, either.

Looking for a nice sit down burger that is not made by a franchise, but instead a restaurant group, Burger Study is worth the stop. A wide variety of styles of burger and vegetarian options too. Very close to the convention center and very reasonable.

Excellent burger of the month, Stranger Things inspired! Eggos sandwiched around two thin burgers with American cheese, peanut butter, and blueberry jam. Server gave me the tip to add bacon. Very rich, sweet, and savory. Glad I tried it. Will be back for the traditional menu. Fried avocado wedges looked good.

Really mixed on this one and I hate to say it. Went last week for the first time during lunch. Had the special Colts burger and it was terrific! Asked for Medium Rare and they hit it right on the money! Very juicy and the flavors were on the perfect. Flash forward to the second visit tonight for dinner and it was not great... ordered the prime burger expecting it to be well worth the 19 bucks. Sadly, it was not worth 6. Again, asked for medium rare. I got well done. The flavors were good but I could have enjoyed a better burger at home. So, 5 stars on visit 1 and then zero on visit 2 averages to 3 stars. Sorry but something was off tonight.

I'm disappointed in myself for not taking a picture yesterday because this was the best meal I have eaten in as long as I can remember.... The southern burger with side of cucumber/tomato salad. First time I've not been disappointed for not ordering fries. Everything was outstanding... Even my kid's chicken strips! Bravo!!!!

I do not recommend this place. I ordered a prime burger well done. I specifically stated I don't like any pink in my burger. My burger arrived very pink and bloody and bun was soggy. I sent back. Unfortunately, by the time my burger arrived my friends were already done eating. Then we got the bill and I was charged TWICE for the undercooked burger. I complained and they took off an $8 appetizer. Would've been nice if they comped the bad burger which was $19. Food really was just okay. Nothing I would want to return and eat again. I far and away prefer Bru Burger.

I loved the ambience of this place. The service is quick and my server was great. He got me my drinks and food quickly. I got the vegetarian Ivy League burger with fries. The fries were well made and perfectly seasoned. The veggie patty in the burger was okay. It tasted very similar to the 'impossible' patty and may even have been the same. I would probably come back, but get a different burger.

It's pricey for a burger joint. But the facility is very high end for a burger joint. And the burgers are outstanding. Many options and cooked in different ways over wood with aged prime steak- ground up. You have likely never knew a burger could be this good. The bar is nice, too. The ST Elmo shrimp cocktail is a must try. . I would go again. The burgers and atmosphere is just that good.

My Prime was okay, certainly not worth $19.00 The gluten free bun was hard on the topside, but falling apart on the bottom. The salted caramel shake was delicious, but wasn't what we ordered. We wanted the milkshake with bourbon. We let the server know and they brought the other milkshake but charged us for both. No big deal. Overall a good experience but I wouldn't go out of my way to go back.

We had an all around amazing experience. The hibiscus margarita with jalapeno syrup is amazing. Two of us had the stranger things burger and it was glorious. The wagyu burger was amazing and the super pricy burger made with premium everything was to die for. I recommend sitting at the bar. If all of their bartenders are as friendly, genuine, and helpful as ours was-then it is a privilege to receive their service. It was very busy because of Gencon and despite that we felt we were given personalized attention rather than being just another number in the unending sea of neckbeards the hospitality industry deals with when we come to town. We will definitely be back next year!
