These folks are Absolutely rocking it!! Customer service was spot on. Ordered the 3 meat platter. You can’t go wrong with either of the selections. Killer base flavors enhanced by the choices of several sauces. Jalapeño bombers... woohooo awesomeness! Mac & cheese in my opinion needs help, it’s ok...but the way everything else was hitting the high notes, this fell flat. Only thing missing is a good craft beer.

Great lunch spot, and it's a local favorite so you might have a wait. It has a causal, cafeteria style dining with a decent amount of seating. The brisket was perfectly smokey and required no sauce accompaniment to enjoy- however I suggest you try them all to find the perfect sauce. I'm a fan of the Bombers sauce, personally! Coleslaw was good, they called it tangy but it had a sweet afterbite which I enjoyed. Oh, and the cornbread was wonderful. Perfectly moist and fluffy; and what's not to love about jalapenos and cheddar in your cornbread? I'll definitely be back sooner than later!

Almost $14 for a small, cold sandwich on hard bread, burnt mac and cheese and a drink. Don't waste your money. Everyone I've talked to that told me how good it was now tells me how the quality and portions have gone way down. Wish I knew that before I ate there. Never again! I'm a firm believer in you get what you pay for but I sure didn't. And $27 for a slab of ribs in a joint that u have to serve yourself...pick up your food, get your plastic utensils, napkins, drink and bus your own table? Outrageous!

Horrible! I should have known since I've never smelled it passing by. I could barely smell it when I walked in. I ordered 2 lbs of rib tips. They were all charcoaled. The small amount of meat on them was chewy, dry and burned! Disgusting! The cole slaw had too much vinegar! The only positive was the cleanliness of the place! Don't waste your time or money!

Just mediocre BBQ. The best thing was the Brisket Poutine, which was pretty good. Rest of it really wasn’t impressive. We had 2 meat platter that came with bread and 2 sides pulled pork, smoked turkey, Mac n cheese, and pork & beans. Pork and beans weren’t worth eating. Mac n cheese was pretty dry. Turkey was also a bit dry.

Casual atmosphere with good bbq choices and good flavor. Large picnic table sitting plus some long high seating. 4 bbq sauce choices. Ribs, pulled pork, burnt ends, brisket etc. T-shirts for sale also. Things I'd change; I would not waste a piece of white bread when cornbread is ordered. Also, offer cornbread without jalapenos for those who don't like peppers and add one more stall to the bathrooms. Is it the best I've ever had, no, but yes worthy of 4 to 5 stars.

Everything we ordered was good! But the staff grossed us out.The staff that prepared the food should not scratch their hair and face and continue to handle food.wash your hands!They also came from behind the counter picked up trash from the floor went back and continued to handle food.wash your hands! Staff member stuck her hands in the trash can and proceeded to touch and contaminate utensils,counter tops and the cash register.I can go on and on.They need hygiene training! If you touch ANYTHING except utensils and food,WASH YOUR HANDS!!!!!

I had heard about this restaurant about a month ago from a car repair shop(Fine Tune)where my car was being repaired. The young lady there recommended it. I finally made it by today. AWESOME!!! Friendly, courteous associates, food was to die for. Good size portions and all at a great price. I will definitely pass the word and become a regular. DOC

Stopped in for the first time for lunch on a Saturday. It's a fast-casual set up where you order first and then they call your name for your order. The place was spotlessly clean, with a worker circulating throughout the restaurant to pick up trays, sweep, and spray down/wipe down tables. I appreciate that. I ordered a brisket meal with two sides, opting for the jalapeno corn bread and beans. The meal came with a slice of bread, which I wasn't expecting, as I thought the menu said something about no bread with this meal. Oh well. The brisket was sliced nice and thin, and was super tender. I was "cutting" it with the side of my fork. The cornbread had a nice tang to it, but was not spicy. The beans were also excellently seasoned; of my three items, they had the most "kick" to them. The beans were served hot. You can choose from a number of sauces; they are available from "pumps" at a station near the cutlery (plastic). I liked that I could choose different sauces to try. Service was quick and polite. They have some stools available for seating, or they have long, picnic-style tables with benches. The benches are wheelchair accessible, as part of one bench can be removed. That was a thoughtful part of the design. I also thought it was an excellent idea that there's a hand-washing sink in the dining area, so you don't have to tie up the restroom just to wash your hands after digging in. My friend had the burnt ends and said they were fantastic. Bombers also carries a nice selection of local craft and macro brews (including my favorite, New Oberpfalz) along with fountain drinks or water. I'll be back for more Bombers the next time I'm in The Region.

Slightly overpriced for the portions. The platter my wife ordered was supposed to come with bread, when we received the food...no bread. When I went to ask, thinking they had just forgotten the bread, I was told they "ran out of bread". No offer to substitute, no type of service recovery. My wife and I ate at the old location around the corner and suffice to say, the food and service was much better.

What I love about my construction job is discovering great food all over Chicagoland, and whenever I work in Lansing, I jut down Ridge rd. just over the state line to this joint. Great staff and wonderful food. Outstanding brisket and pulled pork, smoked and fried wings, plus unique appetizers. Really everything I've tried is good. Support local businesses and eat here!

Unfortunately I have to say , my lunch today was not worth the headache we had getting our food . The girls taking orders seem overwhelmed with the given task. It was a good 15 minute wait for our deal of the day Bombino drink and a side for $11 . The hard dry bread that the beef was on could account for the $2 increase in price since the move across the street. Just seems like no one is steering the ship any more.

Update: Manager reached out and worked the order out for me. Food was great and sister was happy! This review is for the customer service, specifically the catering aspect. I filled out an online inquiry and did not hear back. Not a huge deal so I called and had my info taken down several times with the promise that the catering manager would call me. Never called me back despite multiple attempts. I would’ve given up after the first time not hearing back if my sister hadn’t specifically asked for Bombers for her wedding shower. Super disappointed.

The food is five stars but three times when we've been there around 6 or so, they're out of ribs and pulled pork, which is quite disappointing. Mac and cheese is good also. So on days when I do want the ribs I just have to make sure I get there early, meaning dealing with the traffic and trying to get there around 3:30 or so. But the food is definitely worth it, the ribs and the pulled pork are really really good especially with the sweet sauce

Bombers, you used to be beautiful. I came last year and you were a small, but well ran niche BBQ place. Now you're a scaled up shell of your former self. You were out of everything when we showed up for dinner, what you had left was dry and not befitting your former glory. I may be unfairly harsh, but we also drove 4 hours and we're so excited to try you again. Our wait in line was long and you only had 1 person taking orders as well. Just overall bad experience. Really good food but horrible service, each and every time.. They do not take phone orders so you are stuck waiting in line to order and then you wait get your food. Expect to waste about 20-30 min. Check your order EVERY TIME. Open every container. Every time we get an order, they forget something. Even though the food is good, for us the frustration of not getting what you paid for is enough to find someplace else.

The food is still good, don't get me wrong.. It's probably still there only place to make decent wings (IMHO). Having said that, what made Bombers what it used to be was the edgy, dark space with the music. The new, light, cafeteria space lost that charm along with the memorabilia. There's the new prices, the staff is no longer the die hard team of colorful individuals, and the whole space feels like one big queue.

Absolutely top notch barbecue! All meat there is smoked that day, and they only smoke enough for the day so when they run out, they're out. I highly recommend the brisket and the burnt ends, super delicious especially in some of their homemade sauces! Great service and a great atmosphere perfect for dining in. I bought the 2 meat platter which comes with 2 sides. I opted for rib tips, fries and chili. I could not believe what I saw inside the Styrofoam box when I got home. Inside was 6 tiny rib tips, a small childs handful of fries and one sole, stale, slice of bread. We paid a little over $15.00 for this joke of barbeque! The tips were hard with very little edible meat. They were also dry, even after dipping them in sauce that we had to dispense ourselves. Unbelievable. We will never, EVER go back!

Great place even when they do make an error. About a month ago I picked up some ribs and fries to take home. When i got home I noticed no fries. Did not want to go back because of the foul weather that day. I did save my receipt and went back a few weeks later. Told the clerk about my previous no fries experience. He checked and said no problem we can comp you the fries on this order. Good to see they stand up and own their mistakes and make good on them . Excellent customer service; wish all places were like this. Thanks Bombers!

If you like authentic bbq meat. You're going to LOVE Bombers! Their pulled pork, brisket, burnt ends (my favorite!), Turkey and more will satisfy your taste buds! Their sides change from day to day. This is a awesome smokehouse to visit in Munster IN. They had me with the WW2 airplane motif, but kept me with truly amazing food.. I love just about everything on their menu, but keep coming back for the Burnt Ends...the homemade Mac and Cheese is baked just right, and I try and time my visits to get the special days only Sweet Potato fries as a side..they just moved a few doors east and are now located by Markos..this is a must stop if you like great food..

Great BBQ. I wish there were more location to get this tasty food. The menu is packed with options and seems there are regular specials; the mac n' cheese is fabulous. The brisket was awesome with perfect amount of fat on a semi thick cut. The pulled pork on pretzel bun was huge and delicious. The sauced rib tips we're perfectly cooked and meaty.the sauce selection covers the four major categories resulting in a perfect match for taste buds but honestly the meat doesn't need sauce to be enjoyable. Oh, the staff behind the counter we're patient and wonderfully helpful. Love it, this is not ad advertisement and just honest review... Thanks Bombers!!

Today was my first trip to Bombers. We had lunch there and liked it so much we went back for dinner.Their menu items are great they have lots of different things on the menu including chicken, they have barbecue ribs, and they have burnt ends, absolutely delicious.Their appetizers include BBQ taco chips, which are really hard to beat. It's a meal in itself.The restaurant was clean and neat, the service was pretty good, Pleas note has moved now from east of Harrison Street to across the street to the West side ofHarrison Street in the same place that Mark O's grill is. It's behind and just a bit. If you've never tried bombers you ought to give it a chance. Great barbecue Worth the Wait worth the distance

While I've enjoyed Bombers several times before, I unfortunately had a negative experience recently. I attempted to order over the phone for pickup. The person answering the phone let me know that I could not order over the phone but had to order through their website. I went to their website, and the site said that they were not accepting any online orders. I attempted to call Bombers back but no one was picking up the phone. My boyfriend finally was able to get in touch with them, and they informed him they turned off the online site an hour before closing (why wasn't I notified of this initially?). My boyfriend then asked if he could order over the phone instead since we couldn't order online. He was told that he could not order over the phone and that he would have to come in and order. Because of all this trouble, we decided to not purchase any food and unfortunately they have lost our business going forward.

Best BBQ in the area (Northwest Indiana, Lansing, Calumet City, all of that). Im a huge fan of the bang bang shrimp, full rack of the St. Louis, and the mac & cheese is always great.

Never had a bad experience in my many visits to Bombers. The meat is always delicious - fatty and flavorful! I personally have never had dry meat there. Very good sauces to go with the meat, although it's not necessary; the meat can stand on its own. I don't usually get any sides besides sweet potato fries or mac & cheese, but if those two speak for the rest, I'd guess they're all fantastic. They have a nice selection of local craft beers as well, bottles only.

This place has had the best bbq I've had since moving from the Nevada desert. And we love our bbq looking around 15 bucks for a hefty 2 meat platter with 2 sides. Mac is the best for sure would recommend. I'll be a regular.

They have recently moved to a larger location which is better but when I was there they hadn't finished decorating the food was great if you like Mac and cheese you must order or you will wish you would have the dinning room is decorated in a ww2 bomber aircraft theme like the old location I had a brisket sandwich which was great

Best BBQ I have EVER had. Try the brisket and the jalapeno corn bread. It will blow you away. Ugh... just thinking about it makes me want to go back for more...

First time here I ordered food for takeout and the food is great had a pulled pork sandwich and buffalo shrimp prices are also reasonable

Staff was like watching a bad movie. Disorganized and clueless. Ran out of brisket early, food took forever, then they double made an order for us. Food was so so. Heavy on the rub and light on the smoke.

Great ribs AND THEY HAVE BRISKET POUTINE!!!!! DELICIOUS!! Only suggestion is for more variety of alcoholic beverages. Other than that, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This place had been suggested to me by Google quite some time ago. I pass up this place every 2 weeks when my children and I go get our eyebrows done at Bani's. My son told me a few buddies of his were hyping this place up to be the best rib joint of all time. So we walked in this evening hoping to try a little bit of EVERYTHING on the menu. As soon as we walked in the cashier was yelling out everything they were out of, we waited about 15minutes, then the other cashier walks up to everyone in line, waiting to order to let us know it was going to be a wait because the kitchen people were checking what was left. We ordered Baby Back Ribs, Chili Cheese Fries, Regular Fries, Tangy Slaw, Pork & Beans, Mac & Cheese, Kids Chicken Tender meals that is Dinosaur Chicken Nuggets you can find in the frozen food section at your nearest grocery store. Lol The Ribs were dry and burned. Chili Cheese Fries were NASTY! The regular fries tasted like Popeye's F.Fries. The Tangy Slaw smelled like it went bad a few days ago and tasted DISGUSTING! The Pork & Beans were pretty decent, but slightly over cooked. The Mac & Cheese was good and as for the kids meals, my kids spit back out! I spent $110 and was highly disappointed hence the fact that this place had good reviews. For all the people that gave this place 5 stars, I suggest you all try LEON'S In Chicago, IL.

Bomb A barbeque! Always good tasting. But i disliked the new layout of the new store. Reminds me of highschool lunch tables. Not really wanting to sit next to others if i dont want to.

Really great barbeque! Brisket was amazing and the cornbread was super moist! A lot of sauce choices as well, which is always a plus!

I ordered the rib tips and there's was no meat on them just bones and fat very disapointing and a waste of money I'm never coming back here again

Not what it used to be. The brisket tasted like roast beef, needs a lot more smoke. The pork and beans were too sweet. Very small portions for a lot of money. Wont be back.
