At the moment the business has a rating of 4.3 stars out of 5 and that rating was based on 299 reviews.
You must have seen that it reaches an feddbacks average is very high, and it's based on a very large number of scores, so we can be pretty sure that the valuation is quite credible. If people have bothered to rate when they've done well with the service, it works.
You know that we don't usually bother to place opinions when they are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Restaurant is included in the category of Indian restaurant.
I've been in the Bloomington area for about two and a half years and been to my share of many Indian restaurants. This is by far the nearest authentic Indian taste that you can taste. Even for Veggie lovers, there's a lot of choices.
Great road food.
Finally, a buffet that isn't afraid to bring the heat- if you want. Good selection of dishes, including vegetarian options. Our favorite Indian restaurant in the Bloomington/ Normal area so far!
Super food and good people. Must come!
Nice food, nice people. Enjoyed food. Thank you.
Worst biryani I ever had The rice on bot cooked properly When you are taking money you have to give proper food.
Food is awesome so is the service. Amount and taste is so good. Hope they continue same standard over coming months and years.
Nice food, good at weekends
GREAT! AMAZING! GOOD FOOD GREAT PEOPLE! FUN TIME!
I usually never write reviews, but me and my family had lunch over the weekend while traveling and stopped at aroma and the buffet was beyond excellent. Friendly staff and food had such an authentic taste to it. My husband order chaat of the menu which is his favorite streetfood and it was definitely the best one we had in a long time! Definitely will be coming back.
This was my 2nd visit.. Taste was very good.. But charging adult rates for kids (4 - 12 years) too is a down side..
Service was nice and were quick. Food tasted amazing, and the atmosphere was very friendly. Excellent restaurant, will be visiting again. The waiter was kinda cute too:)
Probably the best Indian restaurant I have eaten at in the Central Illionis area. I got the Chicken Vindaloo and it was so delicious—I liked that you are able to choose the spicy-ness level. The service was also excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here.
No proper response for take away customers.. need to wait for long time It’s recommended to have one person at reception to find about order status.. lack of staff members to attend customers even on weekends
Taste of India in Bloomington. My favorite lunch spot in town. Best lunch buffet for the buck. Great food and staff. It can get busy at opening hours but still not a major issue as it is *WARNING* 70% of the food is spicy hot. You have now been warned.
Very busy at lunchtime, but the food was great.
Over priced. My friend asked birthday party there. These fellows asked 18$ per head. I vote for signature and bawarchi. Not any more.
Best Indian dishes.. Vegetarian...South Indian food around Peoria, IL and Bloomington, IL
Delicious food for a foodie
I've had food at lot of Indian restaurants and there have been few instances of not so good food, however with Aroma full blown DISAPPOINTMENT. Worse customer service, waited for 30 minutes and haven't been even served with appetizers. Was about to get up and leave, and the food was served, Taste less, raw lamb in the lamb curry and the chef doesn't even know what a "malai kofta" is, Yellow colored, definitely an amateur chef not suited for a restaurant. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND EAT SOMEWHERE ELSE...THIS IS NOT EVEN CLOSE TO AN INDIAN FOOD
Near Authentic Indian food. Quite spacious and easy to notice from the road. Loved their lunch buffet options. Vegetarians will have a ball. Very few but wonderful options for non vegetarians. Would be a good place when you are really hungry.
I liked the atmosphere. I liked the servers. The food was just ok.
Nice buffet. Biryani is good sometimes.
Was not very good woman walked around with no shoes on and water from the tap that was warm.
A good place to go for Indian cuisine when in Bloomington. Went to his place to have the Thursday evening buffet. It was a tiffin buffet with many Indian south indian breakfast dishes. Only issue was that the refill of the itmes was very slow. Taste was good and I would recommend this to everyone to give a try on Thursday evening. They have take out as well.
A very decent restaurant for Indian vegetarian food.
Best place to find variety of Indian food.
The place is a re-branded old indian restaurant at a new location. The new location gives better logistical advantage. The decor has improved. We went there on opening night and the food and service was good. If they could maintain the same standard throughout then they will surely do better.
My man hooked it up with the straight sauce, great food and was a good price, <3 BB reccomend this place 100% chicken dosa was flame
Best Indian buffet in town. Staff is always refilling food and taking care of all customers. Good price for weekend lunch buffet.
Best restaurant for indian food particularly for biryani
I visited this restaurant in Aug 2018 on my way to Chicago from Springfield, MO. The restaurant was good. I tried their South Indian buffet and liked it. They offer a wide variety. Its worth the price. I will not consider this place expensive. Its very family friendly. On my frequent visits to Chicago I make it a point to visit Aroma for dinner.
Aroma is our favorite place to go out for lunch or dinner. If you arrive between open hours, busy yourself with something else for a bit and come back it is well worth the wait! The staff is wonderful! Super generous and kind!
Nice place to have lunch/dinner. We ordered Vegetable manchurian, masala dosa and paneer kabab, and it was really tasty. Must say - "up to the mark".
Fantastic food.
Ordered chicken dum biryani, chicken kothuporotta and the masala fried fish. The biryani was excellent and good quantity for three people who were semi hungry. Masala fried fish was very spicy in spite of asking for medium spice level. Overall, the food was great but the staff were inattentive and the service was poor. I can see myself going here again and recommending to other people just for the food.
Came in town for ISU parents weekend and I went to multiple Indian restraunts in my life but this truly had the best dishes yet! Will be coming back every time I visit my son!
Must try buffet, also try goat Curry...
Good food given choices in a small town
I’ve ordered food for delivery and it takes forever to get your order delivered. The driver Nageshwarrao was so rude that he deserves a slap. The food was good, but very poor customer service.
I don't like Indian food but from hearing others at the meal, if you do like Indian food this is good.
Stopped here for Lunch on the way to Chicago. Lunch buffet had a great spread and everything tasted excellent. They had unique items as part of buffet with Guthivankayya , Tindora Rice. Service was great , they come by every few minutes to check on if you need anything. Impressed by their service and taste, returned for Dinner. Their Kodi vepudu Biryani was awesome and they had an extensive menu for Dinner. Even in a big city like St Louis we dont have restaurants matching their Menu. Will definitely suggest them to all my friends who travel Via bloomington. Noodles that we ordered was average but all other items tasted great. PS : One of my friend I referred stopped by for Lunch and Dinner, their service as usual was awesome and food was great
Been there on my way between cities, I totally relaxed with hospitality and thrilled with yummy food.
Food is very tasty and delicious. Thanks Aroma
Aroma Indian Restaurant with great ambience, elegance and very delicious food always offers wonderful experience Excellent management and staff with great service
This place is AMAZING!! Food was delicious. Service was fantastic. Overall an amazing staff and restaurant. 10/10
Came here on a festival day! The buffet was too good. Especially the "Junnu"
Excellent taste. Give it a try
Not a bad lunch buffet. Attentive staff.
Amazing food! Had masala Dosa and Sambar idly and both were amazing.
It was fair for a lunch price very clean and the table side service was pleasant.
Fantastic food, all around. Couldn't fault ONE thing in the buffet or any a la carte menu item I've tried so far. 10/10. Highly recommend.
Awesome food and great service. Love being here.....❤️❤️❤️
Food is good
Aroma catered at Springfield IAGS picnic yesterday (6/23). Very good food and great service.
Found a good north Indian style chaat after long time. Really nice! Food was yummy, lots of variety. Paysam was awesome! Service was good too! Overall great experience.
Good variety of vegetarian and non vegetarian Indian food. Can say, this is the best Indian restaurant in town, in terms of taste. Need to improve the ambiance a bit.
Service is good but food is mediocre..
Horrible service, horrible food - we waited 30 minutes for appetizers but got nothing. Instead they brought undercooked, horrible tasting and cold main course. Never had such a bad Indian food before.
Authentic Telugu food. Fantastic place for vegetarians. Freshly served always.
Amazing Southern Indian Food!! Friendly staff with a menu full of Vegetarian and non vegetarian delicious options.
Kadai panneer, Naan and Vegetable Pakora, yummy
Very nice restaurant. Good buffet but would like to have more veg options over the weekend.
Took 30 minutes for a simple takeaway, but the food is so good I didn't mind waiting at 9 o'clock at night. Not like you get to be choosy on good food so late, anyway.
We really enjoyed the taste of ginger chicken and garlic naans. The taste of goat curry is excellent. Restaurant ambiance and service is excellent.
Tasty food. Would have given 5 but the food was a bit Salty.
Best Indian food. Top quality and freshly cooked. A master touch of andhra cuisine.
Was here for a couple of times and noticed that they serve quality and delicious food all the time. Customer service was extra ordinary and they serve us with a smile on their face. Would recommend definitely!!! Good luck guys:)
Very good food.
Very good Indian food great selections on the menu
Great selection in buffet. The food smells wonderful. We are wimps about pepper and found items with moderate pepper. There were plenty of items for those who need pepper. We will go again.
Good indian food buffet
Limited menu but great food. Tasty food
One of the best Indian food joints!
Soup and a few other items for the lunch buffet were cold
I highly endorse Aroma Indian in Bloomington, IL. Although it is relatively new, it serves food that is always fresh at a consistency that you will not find at Signature India or Puran Indian. I've tried both of the latter restaurants, and the customer service at both are poor at best. Signature India has refused to serve a dish when asked to make a simple accommodation (no onions). Puran has left me waiting at the table with an empty glass of water, no appetizers, and no waiter for 10 min. Aroma has so far been the opposite of those two experiences. The staff are friendly, the service is prompt and courteous, and -above all- the prices are fair. I have no complaints, and as a person with dietary restrictions, they have been most accommodating to me, my family and friends. In brief, if you haven't tried Aroma, you must. If you have tried the other Indian restaurants in town then you will taste the difference, and be more satisfied when you leave. If you have never tried Indian food, Aroma is also a good place to start as the staff are welcoming and happy to help you find he right dish every time.
Thursday night buffet was wonderful. It's all vegan & vegetarian!
In my lamb vindaloo bone was left in the meat. This has never happened when I've previously ordered this. The bone was off putting. Most of the "meat" was bone; I had four small bites of lamb. The bites I did have required some work to cut it from the bone. I've had success with prior orders from this restaurant but this one was irritating and I'm annoyed that I had to pay for bone.
The Best Fresh food in Bloomington. Looks like it's run by a woman. Nothing can beat a passionate women who loves to cook.
Very good banquet hall for parties.
Spicy Indian food.More options for food lovers.
It was surprisingly good! Personally thought I wasnt a fan of Indian cuisine and I was pleasantly impressed! The saying goes, "Don't knock it 'til you try it," fits. The butter Naan was soooo good that I ate like 10 pieces
Good food
Fantastic aromatic experience! The food is amazing and the staff are friendly. Great place!
Everything was delicious! Butter chicken was creamy and the chicken tikka masala had great flavor!
Had Sunday lunch buffet with family . Food is very tasty and more choices to eat in veg and non-veg.
Visited many times same issue : Won’t refill quick and long waits for service some times
My wife and I ate there last night and it was fabulous. We have eaten everything that has come to that building in the last 15 years and this is by far the best Indian restaurant to inhabit that space .The flavors are amazing, the goat appetizer we got was actually hot and melted in your mouth. The wait staff is very knowledgeable and attentive allowing us to try some dishes beyond butter chicken and ro. I can't wait to go back and try their lunch buffet and would love to see them do a dinner buffet too. With 2 appetizers, 2entrees, and 2 types of naan our bill was $60 and it is the best money I've spent on food in this town in years.
Amazing chili idly. Everything we had was good and service was friendly.
We catered food from Aroma for a wedding in the family, and could not be more satisfied with our experience. Aroma was easy to work with; they were responsive, and provided great food at a great price. Service was excellent from beginning to end. I would unhesitatingly go back to Aroma for catering.
The best Indian cuisine I’ve had in a very long time. The staff are very friendly and helpful and since this is a brand new restaurant, please support them! Very impressed so far.
This is the best South Indian Restaurant in Bloomington. It's my go-to. The food is great. Freshly prepared. Their menu has a lot of variety.
Super friendly people, super delicious food & nice ambience. Yummy!
Great India food
Pros: Lunch buffet is the best time to go, they have more varieties than any other Indian restaurant in town. Advice is to go early for the buffet. Cons: If you go late, you cannot expect refills, you need to survive with whats left over and rice items get too dry. Not good for the money if you reach the place after 2:15 PM. (Experienced)
Buffet is good. have more varieties than any other Indian restaurant in town. Try buffet once. You won't regret it. Advice is to go early for the buffet. Later you go, the food becomes cold and will taste little less.
I should say this. I believe this place offers the best parotta (roti). Parotta from here is always fresh and if you are fond of Indian food, you should try this place
authentic Indian food for veterinarian lovers
One of the best restaurant in town food was so delicious and fresh. My kids are big fan of this place their favorite dish was paneer butter masala and egg Curry and Chaat was out of the world most authentic Chaat we ever had. Ambience was too good, very clean and refreshing atmosphere. Thanks to Aroma team for opening a wonderful restaurant in town! God bless you all! Good luck!
Tasty dishes including the standards and a few different ones. I would like some goat dishes as well. The place is clean and the waitstaff attentive.
If variety of taste is there, it would be great
Great food with lots of variety. Chicken biryani and chicken tikka was very good. Best Indian restaurant in town. Very friendly people
Excellent food. Kind service. I highly recommend this place. I wish I loved closer as they deliver and would love that service in my town.
Same old beaten up indian menu, could use more flavor across board
Authentic south Indian cuisine, unique dishes in the buffet, great taste and clean little joint!!
This restaurant is top notch. The menu is every extensive ranging from vegetarian, vegan, chicken, lamb and desserts. They also have lunchtime buffet everyday and Thursday dinner vegetarian/vegan buffet. Highly recommended to anyone who is looking for a great Indian meal.
Very bad service and incompetent serving staff. They do have some good cook i felt.
Food was good when compared to local indian restaurants
Went for the vegan/vegetarian buffet and it was very good! The staff is very kind and there is a good variety of appetizer/entre/dessert options to choose from.
A very good Indian Andhra style restaurant. Good quality food with amazing taste and many choices too. You can get South Indian paratha, Dosa and lots of South Indian specialities. They do wonderful buffet. Every time I go there, I had to loosen my belt
The food that we ordered was too spicy, and I couldn’t eat it so they made us an new dosa and took of the first one for no cost. Great Place!
We enjoy Christmas party there food was very testy and service was good and friendly
Loved Aroma special chicken biryani and Goat pan fry biryani.
I went here at lunch to see if they served anything that my 6 year old, American, vegetarian son would eat. It was Good authentic Indian cuisine. They had a friendly and informative staff. My 6 year old son probably wouldn't eat anything there but I will return without him! Lol
One of the best Indian Restaurant. You can tell that they don't settle for mediocrity. They have a desire for innovation and perfection and use a nice and wide range of aromatic spices instead of just hot spices and food coloring that some similar restaurants heavily use. They make their food selections both delicious, interesting, and healthy which is not always easy. For example their vegetarian options are indeed more vegetable than sauce and oil which make them healthy. My favorite dishes here are lamb boti kabab and Gongura rice. Everyone is also very friendly and make you feel like home. As far as their buffet, it always have some interesting and creative items. If only their food was a tad less hot or at least some of their dishes were less hot and if they always had the cucumber (that helps neutralizes the hot spices and cool you down), then this restaurant would have been even better.
Probably the worst Indian food I've had in Bloomington in the past 10 years.Went for the lunch buffet. The food is bland. The lamb biryani had no lamb in it, the chicken Tikka masala had no chicken. They don't even have salt and pepper shakers on the table. Not enough wait staff, so they are always struggling to keep up . I try hard not to give bad reviews, but I really couldn't find anything good to say about this place. Maybe they were having a bad day but I doubt if I will go back again.
Incredible food and great service!! I work right next door so I will definitely be visiting often! So glad I tried it! ❤️
Food has the touch of Indian authenticity. Very good ambience and friendly waiters .
Yum buffet.
I've tried to give aroma a chance. Occasionally the food is good! (if you don't mind biting into the whole bay leaves they often forget to take out). But they've swindled me too many times. I just got my order, Ice Cold, 3 hours after I placed it and they could give a ****.
Awesome food...everything was soo good...must try
Found this place on a lark. Wow!! What a terrific surprise. Our server gave us the best recommendations. The food was fabulous! Awesome people and service.
If you like spicy food it doesn't get any better than this place. We go once a week to our fix!
Great food, great service.
Not a great place decor, food and experience wise. There are better places than this one in town for Indian food.
Nice place. Good and testy food
In one sentence, the worst dining experience we've ever had. I wish there was an option for zero stars. This is not the place if someone is looking for a good family dining experience. The service was super slow and botched. It took them more than hour to bring half the order. Avoid at all costs. BAD EXPERIENCE.
One of the best restaurants in Bloomington. Very good food.
Delicious. A little bit spicier than the normal americanized Indian food, but still great.
Authentic Telugu/ indian food. My friends and I are die hard fans of the food at aroma. Five stars Everytime.
Food is ok. Service is terrible.
Wonderful food! Worth the long drive from Champaign too.
This place has the best food I have ever tasted. You lookin for somewhere to go come here.
Who puts dirty stained clothes on tables.Even the glass where not clean. The food i ordered was not good and spicy. I told this to the waitress and she just laughed it off
Employees very friendly and helpful
Excellent food. Great variety of vegetarian and meat dishes. Perfect spice level. Affordable price
My favt Indian cuisine in town right now. . Hope it goes too far. . . Weekend lunch buffet is to try for. . .
Recently opened restaurant needs many processes to get organized in first place. Quantity and quality of Indian food served is delicious but you have to give more than required time for its preparation. Overall I wish them all success and wish they can improve other processes as well.
Variety of choices here. Nice place for Indian food.
best India restaurant i ever had ate. Nice staff and service
We went there on New Year's Day. The restaurant was not clean. Most of the table cloths were dirty. We checked 3 tables and settled for the one which was "less dirty" as we were hungry. I don't know whether they changed the name or something, but we were given a menu with the name "Rangoli" written on it. We took their speciality which was a chaat and it was a disaster. They substituted the chana with chole. Who puts chole in a chaat. We told this to the waitress, she didn't care, said that its our specialty, no one has ever complained. Wont come back again. Check the attached pics.
Aroma is one of the rare Indian restaurants that makes food with the same flavor as authentic Indian cuisine. If you want to taste what real Indian cuisine is like go to Aroma.
One of The best of taste in and around Bloomington.
Let me start by saying the food here is good. I'm not very picky so I will eat just about anything on the menu and I can handle some heat. That said, my girlfriend will not due to not liking nearly as many dishes and not being able to handle anything past the mild spice level. The past 3 out of 5 times we ordered takeout, we have had problems with her dish getting my spice level and my dish getting barely any heat. Not only that, but tonight she got something completely different from what we had ordered in addition to having our preferred spice levels switched. I would have gone back but I live across town and it would have been another 30 minutes before I got home to actually eat. I do not think we will be ordering takeout again.
Vary very tasty foods, just loved it. Reasonable price- lots of food choices, good enough portion size. Highly recommend
It was good.
I was a very big fan of Aroma until i saw the frozen chicken leg piece and wings similar to ( buffalo wings). These are not Halal. You have lost genuine customer. Period
Taste is one of the best Indian restaurants around Bloomington. Would always prefer this food to any other veg buffets.
Good service very clean
Very nice place - good food, great service
Loved the food, has a very decent variety of foods. The only thing I didnt like here was the seating area.. it's very packed, wish they would remove some tables and make the place free and simple to walk around when there's a small crowd.. it's very hard to walk around for the buffet and get to your table..
Great food and great staff.
Very tasty Vegan foods also other meat and vegetarian options. Nice staff and great prices.
It was my daughter second birthday had dinner at Aroma..owner is very impressive and excellent service....great food..will be back again i recommend to have their food and good service..
I loved the food here, it made me so happy. They use a completely legitimate spicy scale, if you ask for very hot you will get very hot! We found the serving sizes and price point very appropriate, the appetizers themselves could serve as a small meal. And I really appreciated the well delineated menu into clearly labeled vegetarian and non-vegetarian sections. The unobtrusive service also added to our experience. Overall, we will definitely eat here again, and again, and again!
Loved the food on the vegan/vegetarian open buffet night! So delicious and so many veg options to choose from! I’ll be back soon!
Waiting..with no refills..why open buffet if u can't refill food.. that also on a all veg day. Go to signature India.. don't waste time and money here. Worst experience
Very good place to eat lunch. Wonderful fresh menu of fish, chicken and vegetables. The sweet dishes were awesome along with salads. Like the crockery and cutlery. It is a bit pricey on weekends than other similar restaurants but the experience & food was amazing. Felt happy and would love to go there again & again during visits to Bloomington..
