You truly can not go wrong with the food here -- seriously GOOD eats!! And I'm talking "foodie" good eats (not bar food). How about BBQ shrimp and sausage over cheesy grits with huge stalks of asparagus on the side?? Or Honey(?) Mushroom Pork Chops with the long bone-in with potatoes and loaded side salad?? Auuuugh, now i need to go back and eat there soon as I'm drooling just thinking about it :)

Great Food with a lively atmosphere. Plenty of variety on the menu. Modern decor and very clean. They had a live band while I was there which was interesting. Overall prices seemed a bit higher than the value. Because big this mismatch, AJ's is not a place a would visit often, but you probably won't regret your first visit.

Decent food, service is acceptable. However, the prices here are sky high for a little bar in a strip mall. 14 dollar salad, with a very small amount of steak. 11 dollar (shareable) chicken finger appetizer, however there was only 3 relatively small chicken fingers, I don't know who you would share those with, ha. Definitely do not go here to eat, as by the time you are done, you could of gone to a full sit down nice restaurant. However, the place is fine, for a quick beer or two. However, they do close early on the weekends. This place is likely supported by some of the geist people just to north of this place, and this is the only option right there. And most of them really don't care about the high prices. However, as a geist resident and homeowner, I'd prefer to make the drive, down to wolfies, with similar prices, better and bigger place and a view of the water, or murphys tap house on fox rd.

We tried out this local restaurant last night. It's family owned by neighbors in our area. It was fantastic! I recommend it to everyone! My husband and I decided to try it out after just learning about it less than a week ago. The service was amazing and the food was outstanding. I wish I could remember our server's name because we had so much fun with her. The pork tenderloin was truly great but my husband got the Cajun meatloaf sandwich and my mind was blown. We ended up sharing meals. This is coming from someone who typically HATES meatloaf. My husband said this was THE best meatloaf sandwich he has ever had. I will go back and order that meatloaf sandwich myself. The fried mushrooms, sweet potato fries and Kevin's Apple Crisp we're also done extremely well and were delicious. I was conflicted on what to try because everything looked so good. I eat pork tenderloin typically once a year as a special treat and I know where I'll be getting mine in the future. We were able to meet Coleman (one of the owners) and he was very kind. We enjoyed being able to warm up a bit and have a hot meal when our power was out last night due to the high winds. We even got into conversation with the couple sitting next to us. It was a great respite on a dark, cold night. We'll definitely be returning soon.

I just popped in. Never been there. Got two pick you own sandwiches. Took them home for our dinner. They were great. Freshly cooked to order. Bread and veggies were also fresh. Really liked it and I will return. Atmosphere was inviting and people were friendly and knew their stuff. Cook made the order perfectly.

Love the food and service here. Some of the best pub food around Indy, in a clean and fun environment. Nice, central stage where great live music plays. It's one of those must-go places you hear about. Sunday brunch specials, Bloody Mary bar, large patio deck, etc will keep you coming back. And did I mention the amazing Italian Beef sammich?!?

Strong customer service. Very basic but comfortable feel. The food is really good though. That I believe serprestes it from a common bar good experience. They also have a poker tournament, I'm not a card guy or a betting man but cool to see.

If you’re looking for great food, drinks, service, and entertainment, you can’t go wrong with AJ’s! I eat here often and each time has been an enjoyable experience. I would highly recommend coming in on the weekend for their delicious brunch menu or stop by for a cold beer and enjoy live music. The staff is very friendly and always accommodating to their customers. It’s a great atmosphere for anyone who is looking for a place to come in, relax and enjoy fantastic food. You wont be disappointed!

Absolutely a fantastic meal! Great taste with excellent seasoning on the dishes which required no additional salt or pepper. Proper portioning for the price, which left me no room to try desert. This is definitely a place in which you can go for a great meal and will not leave you wanting more.

Thanks for your response. I sent a one star review after we ordered our food on door dash and it was never delivered. We tried to call the restaurant to check on the order and it was continually busy. We had a difficult time getting our charge reversed with door dash. The restaurant called us after the one star was posted to apologize.

Bobbie is hands down the best bartender in town!!! New management is great and this is the only place you’ll find me on a Sunday night jamming with Orvis and friends!! 5 stars for sure!!

We sat outside. It took 15 minutes for the wait staff to greet us. The one drink took 15minutes to arrive because the computers weren't communicating with the bartender. Several patrons came out to warm up because the air condition was to high. Someone asked if they could open the new awning windows and the response was " no it makes the walls sweat". My husband enjoyed the Cesar salad. I had a watered down long island and the wedge salad. The bacon was intolerable (rancid) and had to be picked off and the tomatoes were sparse. Only 3 ingredients to this salad and 2 were a fail. Outside I could still smell cigarettes smoke. I was as far away from the smoker while still being in the restaurant. This was a poor experience at best.

Great food! Love the diverse menu, and that it's not typical bar food. Add to that the weekly specials, and you will always have new and different choices as well! Bread pudding was delicious! We'll be back!

If you want to go to an unfriendly, cliquey restaurant this is the place to go. If you want a table in the bar area, forget it. The tables are always reserved for friends & family practically every night never providing other patrons the opportunity to have a choice. If the owners cared about their business, they would care about the customers. Preferential treatment is based on who you are. This is very unusual for an owner to think this is appropriate and good for business. Several months ago the tables and chairs were swapped for a new style which are hard and extremely uncomfortable. The new chairs in the dining room are regular height which is somewhat of a strain to see the TV's and there is is some obstruction in comparison to the bar stools. Every time you visit there are new servers who are unfamiliar with the menu or bar drinks. This position is like a revolving door. In the past we had dinner there once a week. The food quality is not consistent and as good as when the restaurant first opened. dry fettuccine alfredo, quesadilla full of bacon, pork and cuban sliders are dry and the steak is tough and lacks seasoning. Now, we go elsewhere where the food is better and the owners stop to say hello and ask about your meal. No preferential treatment.

Great brunch! Food was amazing and reasonably priced, especially given the quality. There’s a huge selection to choose from, all of which has been outstanding. Atmosphere is friendly; love the wait staff, especially Bobbi. Dinner or brunch, you can’t go wrong. It’s a great place to hang on the weekend and listen to live bands. If you want to have a great night out with friends, come check this place out!

Absolutely amazing food. Wife’s Steak was cooked a perfect medium and my burger was perfect (had the egg bacon and cheese on top). They started this new thing the day we came in with brunch on saturdays and Sunday’s and the pricing and food is top notch. Check this place out!

Not just because of the friendly, prompt service, but the food is great and consistent. We always feel comfortable here, music is awesome and the place is clean. Owners really know what their customers want.

The food is good. I have been several times. My to go order was wrong. They caught it, but instead of fixing it they gave me the order made incorrectly, with the toppings I wanted on the pizza on the side. I was late going to get my order so they should have just fixed it and told me when I got there. I won't be going back. There are other places around where we live that handle mess ups better. I'd rather spend my.money with them.

Great atmosphere and terrific food. I got the Cuban sliders paired with a Rail splitter on draft (maybe 2). Top notch. The server was pleasant and efficient. The owner stopped by and it sounds like they host a lot of high quality bands and entertainment at night. Highly recommend!!!

HORRIBLE OWNERS! Can’t take constructive criticism. Kicked out when I complained about a drink. I was then threatened by owner and staff outside while they were trying to pick a fight. What I ordered was supposed to be an “Irish Car Bomb.” They’re selling one of those in a built in Red Bull and Jager shot cup, not how it is SUPPOSED to be, which is a half shot of Jameson, half shot of Baileys, and a PINT OF GUINNESS!!!!!!! Proud jerks....
